  • Eh, he's okay, but not good. In short, he's a solo stomper (depending on how good each survivor is) but can get destroyed by decent squads that know what they're doing. You have to hit your chains really consistently, and he's extremely punishing (even more punishing than Nurse). Sometimes the chains won't even give go value because of the damn collision. I also really wish good shots were rewarded better.

However, despite his various cons, he's actually not too bad. His chase is decent if you're good at aiming your chains, although his chase is also very inconsistent. Sometimes chases will be good, or chases will go terribly depending on your efficiency or luck with chains. He also has one of the most powerful slowdown abilities in the game, forcing one survivor to go for the box in order to reset the chain hunt timer.

At his highest potential (which isn't high enough sadly), I'd put him at low B or high C, however I typically play him without add-ons so with add-ons he's probably around mid B.

Anyways, if I wanted to change him (buffs first), I'd revert his add-on changes (aside from Engie's Fang), remove breaking chains with collision, and spawn an extra chain in any of these conditions: the gateway is spawned at least 12m away from Pinhead, or the possessed chain is controlled for at least 0.75 seconds. Nerfs? Just remove his synergy with Franklin's and Hoarder to make him more enjoyable to go against.

    A. Work on the gen with David.

    A. Work on the gen with David.

You walk to the generator, and David eyes you with suspicion. You grab a couple of wires and touch them together, they spark and the generator seems to be working a little better. You keep doing it because the sparks are fine, while keeping a watching all on the meaty man beside you. In the distance you hear the scream of a girl loudly and piercing through the night. She sounds like she's in trouble. A clanking sound rings through the air.

You see the hair on the back of his neck stand up, and he gets up and climbs into one of the nearby lockers. Coward, you think as you keep touching your wires together. A few more wire touches and the generator is finished, the garage door opens and to your horror the tall woman is standing there silently as the door opens with her cheeks full of vomit and red embers circling her head.

    What do you do?

    A. Run to David's locker and try to hop in with him.

    B. Sprint Burst by her and out into the junkyard.

    C. Crouch by your generator and hope she doesn't see you.

    A. It's time to bring sex into DBD, like the very many people have asked for.

Hah, sike, I'm going with B. Meg's gotta do what she made to do: running.

  • I still found the Ghostface crewmate to be one of the most hilarious ######### I've ever seen for some god awful reason.

Sidney Prescott would be a cool paragraph survivor since lots of people want her, but other than that I see no reason to get the Scream license in the game.

  • The only problematic boon is CoH, Shadow Step and Exponential are balanced.

    B. Approach the woman, ask if she needs help.

You stand up, and slowly make your way around the tired to the towering woman. Though your heart only beats louder as you approach, you feel the need to help someone who doesn't seem to be looking at their best. You take a few tentative steps toward her and her gaze falls upon you.

"Are you okay? Do you know where we are?" you ask, hoping she could provide a little bit of insight or company in this lonely green graveyard.

She speaks, but she isn't saying words you can understand. "Adda ni ka dingir asar po me!" she says, with a powerful cadence as if she should be on a podium beseeching a crowd. You stand confused in silence, and she takes a deep breath. Hoping that she speaks something you can understand, you wait.

Her body tenses, and her cheeks grow. The words that come from her mouth this time are not words at all, but a wretched green sludge that makes you cough and sputter the second it touches your skin. You feel weak and sick, and she takes another sorrowful breath with you in her sight.

    What do you do?

    A. Beg her to stop.

    B. Use your speed training to run to the building in the distance.

    C. Run past her to the wall of cars behind her, there looks do be a window you could hop through and a slab of wood that might create a bit of a barrier.

    B. W meta is where it's at for Meg, and Plague's not nothing on that!

  • Spirit is pretty fun but I haven't played her because I didn't get that many good perks when I P3 50'd her. Maybe I'll try to get more perks and add-ons on her so I can enjoy her more.

  • Very annoying to go against, but she doesn't need any nerfs (other than a limitation for placing traps near hooked survivors and removing traps near a hook after hooking a survivor on that hook). Her add-ons are debatable though, particularly Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles.

Playing as her? Boring for me, but it's preference.

    No, he needs a rework.

His design is bad. Also, really? We're gonna use the CLOWN rework as a positive example?

I was using both Doctor's and Clown's rework as an example. Both of them involve additions to their kits while keeping their overall gameplay, I never implied anything positive about either of their reworks (even tho I actually like their reworks)

I don't think it's good to delete an entire killer, unless they're absolutely unhealthy for DBD or no one enjoys playing as them (in which the latter is false because some people actually like playing Legion.)

  • Please, PLEASE, for the love of god do NOT repeat the disaster that is the Freddy rework. People actually enjoyed old Freddy, and I know there are many people out there that enjoy current Legion. Just give Legion buffs (there are plenty possible buffs to them, such as movement speed stacking per survivor hit, removal of the gauge depletion after M1ing, decreasing the post frenzy fatigue, etc), and an addition to their power similar to the Doctor and Clown reworks.

I'm not really sure what to predict, but I'll guess we're getting a Legion nerf for some reason idk.

It's not that big of a nerf. You can still use the +2 bottles add-on and have 4 bottles with pinky finger. Don't need more than that for a down. It's more or less the same as before unless you have really bad aim.

Anyway, it's a highly noninteractive add-on, so I'd happily trade it away for general buffs to Clown's kit. I shouldn't have to run pinky finger to feel like I stand a chance at winning.

    image.png

The description of the add-on implies that the bottle count is capped for the add-on, meaning you can't patch it up with the purple bottle add-on.

Nonetheless the nerf is justified, but I wish they buffed Clown to compensate.

  • I feel like it's really strange considering they've only recently teased the Ringu chapter. I'm probably thinking too deeply but I feel like it's more than just a sale.

I can only name 2 times since Oni's release where the next big patch happened 3 weeks after ptb. The first being Twins' midchapter and the second being Trickster's chapter updates. Every other time that I can think of has been 2 weeks after the PTB. It's 3 weeks from the time the PTB starts, so 2 when the PTB is over.

Oh, I meant three weeks after the PTB releases. It's two weeks after the PTB shuts down.

  • Honestly gonna have to say Plague. Her buff made her almost, if not completely perfect design-wise (I would actually argue that she's absolutely perfect.) She's strong, balanced, fun to play as and interactive to play against, counters many survivor perks while having counterplay on her own. Her base-kit is excellent, and her add-ons are amazing post-buff.

  • The mid-chapter typically drops three weeks after the PTB.

Man, Devour Hope is lawful evil. You essentially have to play nice for it to do anything.

    Pfft, yeah that's fair.

I thought you were referencing D&D alignment charts for perks. Lol. I’m too old. Started playing first edition when I was a young teen. Some things just stick with you I guess.

Survivor: Autodidact is Lawful Good, Self-Care is Chaotic Neutral, and Dead Hard is Neutral Evil.

Killer: Devour Hope and Franklin's Demise are Chaotic Evil, 'nuff said.

Man, I have the weirdest thoughts during midnight.

  • Chases against him are almost always fun because you actually gotta do something other than holding W. He's very fair in chase while still being strong in chase. Not to mention his mobility makes him practically everywhere on the map.

You can use this same exact reasoning for Billy, other than the "strong in chase" part and the "almost" part because his chase is only decent in comparison to Blight and he's always fun to go against no matter what. Ruindying + Tinkerer and Alchemist's simply make Blight annoying to go against.

  • @PleassBuiltInNoed said:

It does not need a nerf at all, it's fine perk now. They just have to disable it when you start blessing a totem.

5.4.0 actually made that change, it was regarded as a bug instead of a nerf which is why not many people noticed it. I only noticed it when I looked at the wiki page.

    image.png
  • Balancing solos around SWF will allow the devs to balance the game without worrying about killers being too strong against solos while still being powerful enough to withstand SWF. It's a great change.

  • High B tier with add-ons, low B tier without add-ons. He has okay anti-loop if used correctly as well as okay chase potential, and one of the best slowdown abilities in the game. His snowball is pretty damn good if you manage to keep the boxes going. However, there is nothing stopping from survivors being able to dodge chains as well as quickly removing chains with the environment, making his chase very inconsistent. Comms are also powerful against his slowdown ability.

  • You have to be reeaaalllyyyy close to the window.

I feel like the add-on would be kinda cool if it affected undropped pallets as well, similar to Blood Favour. It might not be as good as her other add-ons but it would still have more use if that were the case. Would need to be tested in a PTB though.

  • If you've seen my comments a lot, you'll notice I tend to edit them not too long after I post them, or even immediately.

This is because A, I worry people might misunderstand what I say so I edit them to make them more understandable, or B, I correct a typo or grammar issue in my own comment, or C, where I admit that I was wrong in my own comment if I realize that not too long from posting it. I also have a bad habit of not thinking before I say things.

  • The spider killer we've all been waiting for.

  • From best to worse (my opinion):

    1. Blight
    2. Spirit
    3. Nurse
    4. Hag
  • Scraptrap could also work as a skin. There's a lot of skin potential for Afton actually.

When a killer finnaly make a useless and dead perk useful its considered unfun lmao, looks like people don't like synergized things,Franklins and hoarder, less 2 perks for slowdown,p3ople whine when its 4 slowdown, and people whine if you use other perks, they are never satisfied.

Honestly I'd rather go against a 4 slowdown Pinhead instead of a Hoarder Franklin's infinite box Pinhead that makes solo queue painful due to my teammates not knowing how to counter them as well as painful RNG. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time I'd go against a 4 slowdown killer.

You literally can't hurt people with your power, this type of design is #########,eng fang should've been base kit, nerfing a already b tier killer is really funny, huh

It's supposed to assist you with hurting people with your power, like how Spirit's phase walk assists you with cheesing a hit. It doesn't do the job too well which is why I want it buffed. I want the killer to be strong while still being enjoyable to go against, like Blight for instance.

  • PGTW is still a great perk but it's pretty much outclassed by Pain Resonance now.

  • That sounds boring, I like playing without broken add-ons. Sitting in the basement is even more boring, because that's less things that I'm doing.

  • @C3Tooth said:

There is 0.5sec when you can see aura of the survivor is about to be on hook. I focus at them everytime when I acknowledge killer has Resonance. So I can keep doing Gen when dying survivor is carried to hook.

But there is one thing: Fear monger will deny our ability for that slight 0.5sec aura info.

Oh damn I didn't even realize that. Fearmonger is already a solid perk tbh so adding that to the combo will be very... interesting. Ofc you can still counter it tho, by seeing if the survivor's bar is highlighted then they're likely getting picked up.

engineer's fang and the "infinite chain hunt combo" Iri Lament config + box solve time increase add ons or both box solve add ons along with hoarder and franklin's are like the only busted add on's that should stay the way they are the rest of his add ons need buffs/reworks though

I forgot to mention Engie's Fang, lemme edit that real quick. Engie's Fang should absolutely stay the way it is, it was busted as hell prior to its nerf. Iri Lament Config is debatable as well as the box solving add-ons. Hoarder and Franklin's are really what made the box solving add-ons ridiculous, removing the synergy of those two perks with the box will give more freedom with add-ons while not punishing those who didn't use either of those perks on Pinhead.

  • Super fun to play as, and interactive to play against.

He needs buffs for sure, revert his add-on nerfs (excluding Engineer's Fang) and making it so collision with Pinhead and objects don't break chains. Objects being able to break chains is annoying, and can result in the chains not even doing anything in terms of value. Oh and make long range shots more rewarding. I would also say remove his synergy with the box and Franklin's/Hoarder to make it less stressful for solos as a nerf, but maybe a few more buffs to compensate? I don't know.

  • I did say to wait for part 2, so your complaints are now justified. No, our complaints. ######### Circle of Healing, delete the perk for an entirely new one I don't know, just ######### do something about it.

Why are survivors running to dead zones? Are they not supposed to get downed at dead zones?

Gens can be in dead zones depending on the map, with the combination of being able to slow the survivors down to keep the survivors in the zones it's pretty bs.

  • As a Clown main, Pinky Finger was a dumb add-on. Clown is viable against solos, but not against decent SWFs. The add-on was still braindead and poorly designed, allowing for free downs in dead zones, and with the antidote you can catch up to them quicker in an area with no tiles. The REAL unjustified add-on nerf for Clown is the Flask of Bleach nerf.

Gearhead doesn't really seem useful in its rework, but we'll see how it goes, I could be wrong.

  • BBQ alone always tops off any survivor bloodpoint build, unless you use Escape Cakes/Party Streamers/Cakes in general on your survivor bp build.

  • Most of the add-on nerfs in the patch seem to be filler changes and just straight up unjustified changes no one asked for.

  • To play as: Clown, by far, followed up by Pinhead (since his power is similar to Clown's in a way). I absolutely love the buff he got, it increased his skill cap pretty damn high and there's almost always something new to do in each loop with both bottles. Also, the fact that he can now close in distances is great. I can play Clown for a few hours straight without getting bored. Many people don't find Clown fun to play as and that's completely okay, he isn't for everyone.

Pinhead would be higher than him in terms of fun to play as if he wasn't such a pain to play as, but I suppose it makes sense since Hellraiser is about masochism.

To play against: Billy, no questions asked.

  • Wait tomorrow, if there are no changes to CoH then you can rightfully complain.

  • I think that would just turn her into a worse Blight tbh. She needs a complete rework to put her on par with the other killers, that way other killers will be able to be buffed to handle omega SWFs.

  • With the hyped release of FNAF SB, I genuinely believe it will be the one to make it in the anniversary.

  • I haven't been playing for a week or two.

  • If they do remove his synergy with those two perks, then he should be given many buffs to compensate.

  • 57.

There is no meaning there or relation to the Entity, I just like the number 57.

  • Huntress is more iconic than Wraith, but Trapper is more iconic than her to me.

  • She looks adorable, I love it! I'm sure @TheGannMan and @HaunterofShadows would love the drawing.

Happy holidays to you too, and to everyone else!

  • This is top tier copypasta material right here.

  • I'm probably biased since I'm a Clown main, but I absolutely adore Santa Cllown. I love how eerie they made him look, not to mention the arm sticking out of his bag of... presents. And the Christmas lights, oh the lights.

  • Crowd Control is theoretically better, but it's a hex perk making it too risky to use. Bamboozle is better because it's more reliable, and increases your vaulting speed as a bonus.

Crowd Control is pretty fun though.

No, I don't think it's odd. I play both sides, so some of these nerfs would affect me as well. Of course, I'm going to give my opinion on it. I just think killers whine much more. I've also defended stuff on the killer side. Would I agree with the devs? I wouldn't like it, but I'd admit I was wrong. They have more data than we do. I can only say how I feel about the perk based on my games.

Okay dude, enough with the us vs. them. Both sides are equal in terms of that. "Killers whine much more" isn't helping, this is a thread about talking about DH and other topics related to this thread, including Coup. You're allowed to give your opinion and argue against me, but the us vs. them is totally unnecessary.
