  • I got what I call ######### Doc

Small map like dead dawg or Wreckers yard

Distressing, M&A, Caulrophobia and Sloppy butcher

Stack calm add ons and literally never use your static blast. In chases you'll have an absurdly large TR and healing will be close to impossible. It's pretty funny.

  • The second I moved to PC and got mouse camera control I pretty much instantly got better at looping as its so much easier to track the killer.

  • When they increased his height it pushed his camera up and apparently his collision is based on his camera. So now his collision is weirder than ever.

after watching the stream, I'm shocked... They literally nerfing Mori's again. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with hooking 2 times a survivor but HOW THAT'S CONSIDERED TOXIC WHEN HE'S ALREADY ON DEATHOOK AND I DOWNED HIM.

    https://youtu.be/3aBVRlP5HoU

Just make the yellow/green one basekit but only on final hook or something.

Boom, no more crap killers getting free wins by mori camping first hook and killers will actually get to use them while playing normally.

Killers feel stressful because they think they deserve 4k with trapper against 4swf with 12.000 hours. Devs said (it’s a lie) they want 2k on average. This is 2 survs escaping every match.

I'm inclined to agree. I think a lot of new killers get used to getting 4Ks against beginner survivors and don't realise that in a well balanced game they should be averaging around 2 kills or at least that many hooks. A lot of them come on here to complain and just get their beliefs reinforced by a lot of the bad killers.

Not to mention a lot of people watch content creators who are very, very good at the game and expect the same results only playing for an hour a day compared to 10 hours 6 days of the week.

  • You don't know pain until you get Hawkins and see all survivors have spawned seperately with that Nemesis perk. Good god that shits the worst.

No killer in the game is fast enough (except maybe Nurse) to be able to counter 3/4 man split gens.

Pop was wrongfully nerfed a while back, a simple buff or qol improvement should be when you’re in the middle of kicking a gen and pop’s timer runs out, you should still get the effect. I can’t count how many times when this happened and it’s really annoying.

I think it was nerfed to make repressed alliance actually worth using. And to be fair, you can still cross any map and kick a gen in 45 seconds. They didn't want killers commiting to a chase, getting a hit and then still having time to kick one.

With one more Killer/3 Perks and two more Survivors/6 Perks getting in the next chapter. As a guys with comeplete characters on both side, I'm gonna hate the god damn grin. Just based on experience I had my Trickters get 2.5 million BPs just to get Ruin which is badly needed in my games. With Nemesis, Jill and Leon. That takes about 15 million+ to Prestige 3 them if you have all the previous chapters or about an average of 2.5 million BPs just to get all the decent perks on them.

Can you imagine the grind then by the end of the year at this rate? BHVR address the grind for people who's buying your crap!

I kinda like all the perks for once so it'll be a pain. Really hoping they just remove perk levels soon. No perks are even worth using at level 1/2 anyway.

I agree with you! A more classic Nemesis would probably sell really well. I think in the new design it's a lack of stitches and staples that really throw me off. In the redesign he has like two stitches instead of the classic line of them... That and his teeth.

Why did they do that to his mouth? All I can think of is this arcade game when I see him. 🤣

The nose is teh main culprit for me in regards to his face. Just looks so awkward. I think they were trying to make him seem more human but to me he just looks less creepy.

Then there's the hilariously large shoulders and trash bags outfit.

  • Right now? Classic Nemesis.

I didn't like the RE3 remake much but I thought the new Nemesis looks truly awful.

    1210170-re3___nemesis.jpg

    THIS, is Nemesis.

The remake tried too hard to make him look once-human with the awkward nose, and lost the monster aspect across the way with those weird ass coke bottle proportions.

  • You can drop them and they are affected by Plunderer's aura reading on items so I assume so. I delivered one or two vaccines to other players in the PTB.

  • @Judgement said:

    I can only buy one;

All-Kill (Trickster), A Binding of Kin (Twins), Descend Beyond (Blight), Silent Hill (Executioner), Chains of Hate (Deathslinger), or Cursed Legacy (Oni)?

I care more about the Killers than the Survivors or Perks, but good perks also help. These are the only ones that I do not own so far.

I’m personally torn between Blight (strong, challenging, and very good perks), or Deathslinger (good range but I’m bad at aiming lmao).

I will not wait for the Resident Evil chapter.

I'd recommend Blight and Oni. Pyramid head can also be fun but he's rather shallow compared to the other 2.

  • @SilentHillOnDvD said:

He feels way too clunky to play, my man gets slowed down too much when he's using his sword and his addons are trash.

Remove the slowdown he gets when he's ABOUT to put his sword in the ground

Remove the slowdown WHEN he's lifting the sword out of the ground but keep him from being able to attack for 1 second

Make POTD come out a little faster

Give him actual useful addons, putting bloodpoints into him hurts my soul

    That's all he needs

I think you're forgetting that even if you aren't cancelling or throwing out a projecile you're still laying Torment Trails. The slow in that case is fine, it should not be zero commitment considering how much time cage hooks save and how many perks they bypass.

  • @StibbityStabbity said:

He's definitely not the best Killer. Far from it.

Based on what I've seen and played against, he is B tier at his strongest. Above average. His ability to deal with vaults is nice, but he's still very easy to loop and mindgame. You can deny him his power for a long time by playing conservatively. People mention his ability to break pallets with his power, but the cooldown on that is actually nearly the same as a standard pallet break animation, so he's not making THAT much more progress than if he stopped and broke it. The recovery for his power is punishing, allowing the Survivor to make some good distance that SHOULD allow them to get to a new tile before he can catch up. Just don't run into deadzones. Also, his vertical lock during his aim makes him an easy victim of big spins.

Its not about the cooldown speed, its the ability to continue slowly moving and look around, you can use this to zone the survivor at loops that are isolated and prevent them from instantly Shift W-ing to a new tile.

Every other killer in the game is stuck in place when they break a pallet, Nemesis can do it from the other end of a loop.

  • I don't like it, personally. It's just hand holds you and removes the survivor ability for stealth plays.

Basically it encourages looping but same people who claim to hate looping love it.

  • I think Level 3 needs to be more rewarding/more of a threat considering how hard it can be to reach if the survivors don't waste vaccines.

Right now Level 2 is the most important as the pallet break is pretty useful. Level 3 adds ONE METER to the whips range and doesn't seem to affect cooldown speed.

Just like all licensed maps, it looks incredibly amazing and very similar to the source material.

This map however is insanely big with lots of unsafe and pointless god pallets. However, removing some parts of the map would make it less Resident evil.

How can you have an unsafe and pointless god pallet.

There's a few weak ones in the central area but the outer hallways have multiple completely unmindgameable very strong pallets.

I think he is the best killer and 90% will play him.

Alone with the zombies in some maps you win alone with that... :)

    What do you guys think?

He's decent and I'll definitely be playing a lot of him but I don't think he's incredibly strong.

  • It is pretty absurd how many completely unmindgameable pallets there are.

  • I like having conversations after the match sometimes. If I just don't feel like it I drop a Gg and dip

  • @NotYourAverageJay said:

Im not a killer/survivor main so I play both roles but I mean seriously is survivor that fun for people to NOT really play killer? I mean all survivors do is hold whatever button on a gen and get asked if you are still here by getting skill checks, bully killers, run whatever builds and etc. I mean sheesh yall should play some killer for once its fun using their power and certain builds despite getting bullied, salt msgs, gen rushed, clicky clickers, and facing strong swfs,

Some people don't like killer gameplay. Survivor is more chill and you can play it while talking/playing with friends or listening to a podcast or something.

I play killer when I want to play seriously as I know its going to be tougher.

  • No, it never has been.

  • I think it was Laurie. But it was a long time ago.

  • @Gnarly said:

YOU CAN LIKE THE PERK, YET

Self Care is a selfish perk that wastes so much time. Why go with Self Care with better options. Bond is a great to get healed by teammates, or just bring a medkit. Inner Strength is efficient with your time as well. You can like the perk, but it is a massive waste of time.

I can't believe I can be doing a gen that is about to pop and the Claud runs past me and I even emote for her attention, yet she still passes me and self cares. Behind some tires.

We did not finish that gen...We all died

I think its OKK with Botany Knowledge. SOmetimes I'll rock them both with a brown medkit for fast heals on myself and to counter sloppy butcher on the killer.

  • It's because there's no stakes to losing BP/Shards/Items. People aren't tryharding as playing for BP and such is pointless.

You get the occasional 4 Bnps/commodius box/Prove thyself SWF. But for the most part people actively want to have long, fun matches as/against the new killer.

  • The consensus I've seen is that on maps that are big or have tons of high walls (most maps lets be honest) he is the worst killer in the game.

On maps like blood lodge where the entire center of the map is a deadzone versus him there isn't really anything survivors can do as knives are so easy to hit and he has so many of them. He basically becomes a less effective deathslinger, I.E. you're only getting away if the killer has a brain aneurysm mid chase.

I won't say he's OP in that situation as he's still, y'know, Trickster. But it's definitely not a fun experience.

Also why does he have a Lullaby style TR but Slinger doesn't?

Flash grenades are way faster and less obvious than firecrackers.

They have a 2 second or so delay and a clink when dropped. You can also see them in the survivors hand aswell as the drop animation. Literally just look up and they are completely impotent.

Unless they recieve massive buffs the flashbang perk will remain a meme pick.

As a nearly 750 hour killer and 30 hour survivor i just realised that i made my biggest mistake of my gaming life when decided to main killer. Playing survivor is much more relaxing (what is the point of a video game) and rewarding (as being the power role). I just wanna shout out to all killer mains to try survivor, and have a relaxing Dead by Daylight experience. The time of killers is over, the time of survivors has come! Best wishes!

With how dramatic people are about losing as killer on this forum you'd think y'all are a bunch of crisis actors.

Why is saying that the role of the 1 versus the 4 seen as some huge revelation on this forum? Of course it's harder, your t eam is literally just you. Personally, I prefer killer over survivor because I only lose because -I- lost, not because a teammate screwed us all over.

  • @AngryKiller said:

It's not anti ruin, it's anti killer. They even called Moris toxic and gave survivors instant blinds. Let alone the new map is huge so if two survivors feel like holding the game hostage and hiding forever you can say hi to DCing after 40 minutes.

So are we suddenly pretending firecrackers are top tier or something? They've ALWAYS been a complete joke. Calling it something else doesn't change the fact that they're still bad.

  • Really? Huh, never noticed. To be fair I like that map quite a lot so I'm not complaining.

  • @domriver said:

Can anyone actually confirm that NEMESIS says STARS in his chases or terror radius?

I've only seen him say it when specifically Mori'ing Jill.

You mention you don't want to play Blight for the bile? Honestly I feel he gets way less bile than Spirit, to me it feels he gets the standard level of wrath from the survivors you'd get from winning with any Killer.

But Blight is the single best counter to holding W in the game, as his power negates that entirely as you'll close any distance in the blink of an eye. He's really fun to play IMO.

(Although I appreciate "play this Killer" is not a good answer to a strategy that exists in the game)

I don't know anyone that hates Blight, most people think he's quite fun and fair. The people who trash talk you for playing Blight are the people who'll do it for any killer they lose to.

  • In my first match on an open field I somehow witnessed 3 players all get snowballed by one zombie as I chased the 4th. This killer is ridicolous I love it.

I wasn’t sure if I should’ve posted this on the PTB or not cause it’s in a way somewhat connect, but it’s kinds been a issue for a while since Strangers Things so I may as well put it here. So like the title says in my opinion the survivor perk way outnumber killer perks, even worst now since survivors are getting 3 more in the Resident Evil chapter rather than just the 3.

Before people ask no defiantly not. They don’t need to make a extra killer just for that or add more than just one killer per chapter that would be insane. Just extra killer perks for killers, they could be universal, on their own in a dlc pack or just added on in general would be just fine.

I have no issue with it. Less grind. Remove perk levels and maybe I'd care.

    I have to say it.

I used to be super toxic during my early DBD career and my entire OW experience.

Sending gg's reminds me that there are living people behind that connection.

Same here. I think the thing that changed me was when I sent a dickish message to some guy in Gigantic that had lost us the game.

I got a message back in broken english essentially saying "I very sorry I new to game" and felt absolutely awful for the first time, really. Ended up apologising and giving him some tips.

I think dbd is the game that just made me stop caring and taking it so seriously.

I mean, I got banned off xbox for a month because of DBD. Not becuase of messages, because I mained OG Freddy and got so many false reports of cheating that I literally couldn't play.

THat said, First Post Worst Post. LEts not act like Killer players are any better. In the PTB I've been told to go ######### myself twice just for.... playing... as survivor and not letting the killer kill me.

  • @n00binati said:

hello everyone, i am a new player i got dbd about 3 weeks ago and i am just wondering how people think this game is survivor sided? killer seems way easier and way stronger than survivors

its only SWF sided at top level.

  • Hopefully.

I know I'm going to be having a lot of fun with Leon's Flashbang and Jill's trap. Probably won't overtake the current meta as the top 4 perks just give so much more utility than anything else Survivors have.

Also just went up against that Nemesis gen perk for the first time and its very interesting. I didn't realise it also blocked the players on a gen that explodes from repairing it for about 10 seconds. I wonder how it'll pair with Surge.

  • @FluffyCrit said:

The devs were talking expansively (without revealing much though) about how moris will get reworked somehow because they are "toxic". This "toxic" word was used 2 or 3 times in a row to qualify them.

Then it was kind of like "also we'll rework the key".

Moris and keys are both controversial items since they appeared in the game. Although I really want to ask and understand... why Moris as they are now in the game (can execute a survivor who's already dead on hook anyway) would be defined as "toxic" while keys as they are now (can escape through the closed hatch sometimes even before gens are all repaired and just deny most available counterplay to the killer) would not be as "toxic" as the moris?

Disclaimer: I don't really care about people using moris and keys. I'm just curious about this choice of words.

They were yes. How many times did you see an old mori used and the killer didn't just instantly kill the first player unhooked? Me? less than 4 games in 4 years

  • Never gonna be able to think of Trapper's leather squaking vault noise the same ever again.

  • So far I'm pretty sure that, outside of it making the tentacles/zombies actually hurt you, it also makes you randomly cough like in RE2make. Not as obnoxious as Plague's coughing though so stealth is still viable with it.

  • Played a bit of him. I think he's really fun. I just think the usual crowd of "wee woo every killer must be top tier viable" are going to hate him. I'd say he's slightly worse than PYramid head but its the more unique power I'll be playing him for.

I love killers with powers that go by stages like Micheal.

  • Yet to play him because of work, but he seems decent from what I've seen.

Honestly I hope he's mid tier or so. After Pyramid Head I don't want to see another Iconic character I love get absolutely hated and get me smacktalked just for playing them.

that and I finally get a killer that just punches people.

  • the stackable speed boost is pretty insane.

40% of a 12 second or so action is noting to sniff at.

  • Yeah an entire perk slot for 5 seconds of auras at match start..... Super OP

Milion times over ? I didn't see a single mori since the nerfs. I'd hardly remember how some rare ones actually look. You must be lucky to get to see the cool animations so often.

This, I never used them outside of dailies and I can't remember the last time I actually saw one as survivor.

  • During the days its pretty fast on both sides. It's only at late afternoon/evening the balance is out of whack. People home from school/college/work and playing with friends to chill out and have fun.

And us loners play killer instead lol

  • I think thats just in regards to the left/right movement of a joystick on a controller compared to a and d.

It doesn't matter how fast and accurate you can move from left to right on a joystick, a keyboard can do it faster simply due to the fact that its possible to have both near pressed almost instantaenously.
