Blood, just like scratch marks, are inconsistent and kind of fade in. You still had to use your brain but it made it easier for people that have hearing issues.
Yes, and anyone who doesn't have hearing issues would be able to play her in the uncounterable way she was before the nerf
Honestly I find it ironic that you call nurse broken because she ignores mechanics leaving survivors with little to no counterplay, but then want back an addon that leaves survivors with, guess what, little to no counterplay. It was ultra rare, that doesn't change it was an extremely unfair addon. Same as cherry blossom mind me. I don't know what was in the devs minds when they removed father's glasses just to add back father's glasses on steroids

Difference between Dried Cherry Blossom and Father’s Glasses: one shows exactly where a survivor is, the other shows where a survivor was.
Blood trails, especially with haemorrhage, are very frequent and even if you unphased where the survivor was you'd be in lunge range
-
@SeannyD115 said:
Father's glasses were hilarious when paired with bloodhound. You could tell exactly where the survivor was
Exactly. "Never thought it was unfair" - ridiculous
-
Please explain to me how you think this was a fair addon when it removed the most important counterplay to her, which is not leaving scratchmarks. It's literally like dried cherry blossom: gives away for free the survivors position?

DH was the second most used perk BEFORE they buffed it with validation. There is no doubt in my mind that it is now the most used perk. I wouldn't believe you if you told me it was less than 50% use rate and wouldn't be suprised if it was around 70% use rate.
You used the word buff, I'm pretty sure you meant fixed. Because validation was a bugfix. Not a buff.

You mean that add on that reduces turning by 55 % and makes you have to have good bump logic and be a good a good blight ? And isnt broken ? That one ? Just double checking. Because ok then
That addon that reduces turning rate *while rushing*, so no, it doesn't require such a rocket science bump logic like you make it sound, and that reduces the total recharge time of rush tokens to 7 seconds, increases the number of rushes to 7 and gives bonus rushing movement speed. This, while still allowing flicks, because turn rate isn't limited in that case, and giving a lot more freedom of mistake due to the 2 additional rushes

They're all fine, but it's interesting you say Compound 21 needs another nerf or should disappear. What is it about aura reading add-ons that's so OP to y'all? The fact that the killer can do mindgames instead of the survivors, which survivors can still counter if they play safe?
I think you might have a misconception of what a mind game is if you think knowing exactly what the survivor is doing through walls allows to mindgame. It's actually the opposite: it removes all possible mindgames.
It's exactly like the OoO bug from this weekend. An addon like that should have never been implemented
-
Alchemist ring isn't his only problematic addon. Compound 33, compound 21, adrenaline vial and the fact that speed add-ons stack are all things that should be reworked completely

Hey, welcome to the game :)
People already answered more or less to your questions. I just wanted to add something about the "bullying", since I saw already some people with a negative mindset, which is obviously not the best welcome to a newer player.
If you have time, watch this video:
https://youtu.be/Hn38MyTgCrEIt really shows the mindset that I recommend keeping while playing. Sure, Cope has thousands of hours of experience, but his mindset can really help not letting certain stuff get under your skin and ruin your experience :)

Complaints about the grind have been going on for as long as I can remember. What I wanted was for this to be addressed years ago already, because it was obviously NOT a sustainable model

I'm fairly certain that Omega Blink Nurse requires five blinks minimum. Three blinks with an iri add-on is playing older default Nurse with extra steps.
Unless there's a way to get five blinks right now, in which case, I apologize. That's a bug.
That's not omegablink. Omegablink was old nurse with old double range add-ons

Solo Q is nightmare regardless of killers, I'd call it invalid too.
Yes and no. The random team mates are what make it a terrible experience, but the killer you're against contributes to it a lot too
-
Going against nurse with stacked up slowdowns and strong add-ons is just plain boring

Were the survivors who suicided using meta perks? I can imagine it being annoying trying to run off meta/complete an archive and see a meta perk nurse.
The meta perks argument isn't as valid, because they might as well have been soloqueuers, were meta perks just help mitigate a little the nightmare that solo queue is. I too use meta perks when solo queueing, and still think that a full meta nurse is just a waste of time
-
I would just have 3 tiers:
'really fun', 'ok i guess', 'don't play at all'
Yes, spirit is in the really fun tier, but third in position. Don't know where to place sadako yet though

We did not. In fact, we've said the exact opposite: We do not consider it a fix to the grind in the slightest, it's an improvement to grade rewards, nothing else.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2850459#Comment_2850459
I can also confirm that we don't see it as something that encourages people to play more. A certain amount of grinding, sure, it can give you a goal to work towards and keep you interested. But if it becomes too much, then the goal feels unattainable and you lose interest in trying to achieve it.
To the original topic: It's too early to share details now, but we have a massive grind reduction in the works. I'm looking forward to the day we're finally able to share it with everyone.
Thing is people, or at least me, are already disappointed on how you (haven't) handled the grind so far until now

She could use some small touches here or there but the Tv's not turning off if no survivors were near is now a built in tracking unit and COULD make her over the top. Honestly I think the safest change that I hope would put her to A-tier (On everyone's list) would be a SMALL speed boost when manifesting. Small enough so they don't mess with her movement speed while manifesting/demanifesting but significant enough help a bit on strong tiles (Which is the biggest complaint about her the chase).
I actually like the idea. It would be a built in tracking, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. We could call Artists birds built in tracking too as you can easily find out which gens are being worked on, and they force the survivors to make a choice and either tank a hit or leave the gen
Sadako knowing there's no one around (in just like 16meters range?) doesn't seem over the top imho and survivors have the choice of turning of the tv by themselves too if they want to

@MilManson said:
This is what happens when survivors can do 3 gens in one chase brah.
If they nerfed gen speeds there would be less tunnelling.
If 3 gens popped at once and I've only just managed one chase that guy will be tunnelled too because every survivor will ignore what they was doing and come to body block him and I'll just trade.
Lies. In fact, this will promote tunneling even more, because winning a 3v1 is a lot easier than a 4v1, and tunneling one out of the game while gens take even longer would make the game extremely easier than it already would be for killer.
Let's not pretend that killers who tunnel one out early game will stop doing it by nerfing generator speeds (which are fine, by the way), that's just being delusional or blatantly disingenuous

Like I said, its visual. I posted the video to show it. Distance traveled in the same amount of time.
Sure BHVR should/needs to fix it but don't make it out to be the return of Omega Blink.
Other note, for those that weren't around then, Omega Blink was strong because the charge time was 2sec regardless of distance. That meant that you could blink the same distance as base with a shorter charge time. That was fixed with the addon pass 2 years ago where they made it so you had to charge >2sec for extra distance.
Never said it was on par of omegablink, just said it looks like you travel faster. Charge time is the same

Reminder for the 28th to come back here

I think that every killer should have their own theme at this point. They recorded her from scratch, they could've given her a new theme too just for novelty
-
@Mr_K said:
its mostly visual. Don't make it into a bigger deal than it is.
That doesn't seem visual, that is definitely a faster blink speed. I can't edit the clips right now to compare the speed one on one, but look at:
Watch "range addons" on Streamable. This is before nurse was recoded - fully charged blink took ~ 2 seconds: 13.333 m/s for 30 meters
Watch "range addons blink speed?" on Streamable. This is from yesterday, blink seems to take a little more than 1 second.
Later I will try to compare the clips 1:1 with some video editor though

So you know, ranks don't effect matchmaking at all. You'll still get the same people whether you're red rank 1 or you just reset. The only way your matches might be better is because there may be more people playing on reset so you'll have a chance of getting people closer to your MMR.
As for OP, best of luck to you. I got it on my second game but her perks do not do much for you on their own.
They don't affect match making but getting a merciless as ash iv is easier than at iri i because it requires a lower amount of pip points

There's counters to a slugging nurse. Just bring UB and soul guard and WGLF and also Calm spirit to counter IF also bring dead hard to counter nurse herself also small game or counterforce for ruin and also boon COH and boon exponential also remember to do gens while running around picking up your team mates so basically run like 12 perks and do gens

Not really sure I'd call a game that ends with 5 gens to go amazing, but you do you lol. Maybe once in a while but if trials went like that too often I couldn't keep playing killer.
Those gamers weren't playing at the highest level where the average is 2k, I just helped in lowering their MMR to where it should be

Except for mori spamming, which they took away. Of course it had to be killer BM that they took away.
Mori spamming was taken away because it effectively led to the survivor being held hostage, since they could not bleed out or anything
It had nothing to do with it being "toxic"

Just had my first match against a Hag since like a month, and the game decided to randomly give us Lerys too because why not. She 4ked thanks to noed, but honestly I had much more fun in this game than in others that I had today (nemesis, trickster, nurse). My friends hated it though. I might've had a lot of fun because I was running solidarity/empathy/autodidact/IW which basically countered her hit and run play style while also "countering" the indoor map itself thanks to empathy
I actually don't despise going against nurse, until I see multiple stacked slowdown perks and the use of good addons. Then I'm just gonna roll my eyes

I'm referring to what a buggy mess she, the game, and the servers were in on her release. It made a horrible impression when you were locked into Victor for the match, or the game would crash every time you separated, or infinite loading screens.
Whether you think she's strong or not comes down to player skill. So, go for it. But that doesn't change what they were on release, or how they're played now.
Twins release was probably the worst chapter release ever. They were literally an unfinished killer, lacked tons of animations that were added later and it was probably the patch that introduced the biggest number of bugs I've ever seen

Disagree, def not the best balanced killer in the game. Not even close. Most rewarding and skill reliant killer? Sure.
That said I don't think she needs to be changed or anything like that, I'm just trying to better understand what tactics one is supposed to use when going against Nurse players who are competent. Not perfect, 'competent' because newer, less experienced nurse players are very different to ones who know how to play her. Not 'god tier' or whatever exaggeration people make.
I wouldn't even waste time with that guy at this point, all he does is bring up tournament players where most chases are about wasting as much time pf the nurse as possible while knowing you will go down in a matter of seconds. And when I say that I mean that most of the chases you'll see will be about running towards the edges of the map and towards corners where you know you'll go down, but the killer will waste a lot of time hooking you, while you KNOW your other team mates will be kissing gens on the opposite side e of the map. Huge counterplay, best balance right? What's even the point of playing the game if that's what you're expected to do to get that "high level average 2k".
Taking tournament games as an example is as flawed as taking public kill rate statistics to call for killer buffs or nerfs, because you can't expect people to play like that in public games, not even the famous "uncounterable tryhard swfs" play like that for goodness sake, because let's be real, who wants to play a game where all you do is run to a corner to get downed as soon as you're found?
I really think that anyone who justifies some aspects of nurse is either delusional or just plays comp therefore having an extremely distorted idea of the game
