Might as well introduce her as the 5th survivor who helps you do gens with this kind of nerfs nobody would ever play her.
Without addons, she is very easy to juke and escape. I know I mastered nurse myself, but I have never struggle against a nurse without addons, I can litteraly keep them busy for 5 gens. Basic blinks are slow and if you add the fatigue, she is not even that fast.
With addons she is a threat, but that is how every killer should be.
XD
-
Two survivors had already escaped, my friend got downed and hooked. I go trade and tell my friend to escape. From the exit gate my friend points at me on the hook and Onryo nods, moves away and nods again from a distance
My friends comes and unhooks me, we drop our item and leave
Thanks Onryo
(She got 8 hooks total that match)

I don't see the problem?

At least we know they introduced the 69 cm loops, as you can see on the left side of the last picture.
Ah yes Ormond style

Why would i "not" tunnel in these situations. A fyi i like to win and im competitive so there you go!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2865421#Comment_2865421
So you think BT as a base is good for the game and healthy? Plaese explain yourself
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2865423#Comment_2865423
I dont give a crap about MMR i hate it and want them to disable it. Besides you cant see mmr anyway so its just a bunch of pointless banter and assumptions from "everyone" discussing it!
Oh my mmr is high your mmr is low, bla, bla bla bla bla just stfu about it, its a stupid and dumb system taht should be removed
If you're competitive and like to win, why don't you join a comp team and participate in tournaments? Or are you part of one already?

Her Irri add-on buffed but yeah, bug fixes are not buff. But this does not mean she is healthy for game.
It was sarcasm
-
Btw remember how Dead Hard being finally bug fixed thanks to hit validation was called a buff?
Technically nurse's bugfixes from last mid chapter patch are actually a buff too then. Probably because of her lower kill rates
-
Nah. Look at a lot of perks that were released lately: call of brine, deadlock, pain resonance, dead man's switch rework They're all very strong already, I really doubt they would've been stronger if nurse didn't exist. Same for LP. The duration would be fine regardless of nurse, because it's supposed to give an idea of where survivors spawned and 9 seconds are way enough to bee line towards one of them.
RPD is just not suitable for a game like DBD. It's garbage under all points of view. Also, it's a 1:1 copy, so it wasn't "designed" by bhvr.
Eyrie of Crows might feel big, but it's not bigger than a lot of other maps. The problem is the same as per maps like Ormond: gens are scattered around a lot (and I guess there are many pallets).
Also you called The Game small. I don't think it's that small, because of the two.floors, and anyway it's a perfect example of how size doesn't matter ;))
-
Doctor and Legion
I just can't
-
"DS is broken" into "I legit camp and tunnel"
"Nothing you can do vs flashlights"
Ehhhhhhhh my boy
-
When I talk about boring killers, I mean that the interaction is basically zero
Trickster, nemesis, PH are all examples of boring killers because there's no input from the survivors side, it's just them either ######### up or not ######### up

I don’t really like playing Nurse tbh.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2864241#Comment_2864241
I’ll play Sadako but that doesn’t mean she’s replacing my true queen.
It's ok, there's plague tho!
-
Wait actually yes I fully second this

I do enjoy other killers as well, I just haven’t been giving them a chance because I’m too excited to play Spirit. This will be an opportunity to branch out and appreciate Spirit more. Killers I’ll play more often now will be Sadako, Pinhead, Huntress, Blight (if his stupid collision doesn’t piss me off), Wraith, and Demo as I enjoy all of those from time to time.
Give plague and nurse (no stacked slowdowns pls) a chance too 🐧

I’m not going to take a break from the game because I don’t think that’s the issue. I’m taking a break from Spirit. 80% of my killer games are her and it’s causing burnout of the killer I have a huge bond with. That scares me just thinking about it.
That can be refreshing too :) when I'm bored of what I'm doing, I either swap to the other side or change killer
-
I get you, it's an annoying feeling. Sadly bad games and bad days happen to everyone.
I didn't read all comments, but I'm pretty certain it's already been said: if you're struggling and feeling frustrated, maybe take a break from the game for a couple of hours or days. It's good for your mental health too and playing it again in some days might be refreshing
-
The thing is, nurse is not as difficult as people make her out to be, and if she's using her best add-ons she's also extremely forgiving of her own mistakes

I don't understand how your motherboard cant use a faster GPU "due it being a DDR3 device"? That doesn't make much sense but I do understand it does limit how much of an upgrade makes sense as you don't want to bottleneck a new GPU.
If you are still running a GPU of any kind with 2GB of VRAM, it really is time to think about upgrading as it is only going to get worse from here. DBD isn't the most optimised game I will grant you that but you will find many games are going to give you problems with such a small amount of VRAM so you cant really blame DBD for that.
Time to upgrade or you just have to live with it I am afraid
I don't think that telling people to upgrade to 2022 technology in order to play a 2016 game is a good argument
My PC is pretty good: Ryzen 7 3700x, Nvidia rtx 2700 super, SSD M2 drive, 32GB 3600MHz ram. I still get stuttering and frame drops, at any quality. This is a game problem, not a PC problem

Slowdown perk ? How? You can still repair with Hex:Plaything.
At the cost of not hearing the killer at all. Unless you're in a strongly coordinated swf that shares the killer's position constantly and precisely (which happens literally only in comp game) then you're trading at least one healthstate for doing gens instead of looking for the totem.
It's a tradeoff with passive slowdown
-
@BlackRabies said:
You kinda answer it your self on that 5th paragraph why camping happens a lot. CoH, Dead Hard, and all the other crap killers have to put up with they feel they have to camp to have any chance.
Need to give the killer a reason to not camp, by either changing things or adding something new.
COH hasn't even been out for 6 months, camping has always been there

When it's actually incentivized to go for chases instead of camping hooks.
So what would incentivize one to go for chases?

My plague build is corrupt + thana + bbq + infectious
Other effective builds imho are those that rely on "stealth" by using plaything, tinkerer or other perks that prevent survivors from hearing your TR

Were you even playing? Underused? It was literally in every game, it was stupidly broken when it was released
@Tr1nity said:

Pretty sure it was about a lot of people using Hex: Ruin, so they nerfed it.
It wasn't the "main" reason. They reworked it because it was ridiculous against newer players, but on average or more skilled players it was barely a nuisance and from the killer it required zero input. So basically it penalized those who needed to be penalized the least, while being almost useless against the players it should have actually worked on
Edit: reading through the thread, I see you were already answered

Dead man's switch and pain resonance
I really can't be annoyed with anything other than that combo especially on nurse.
This. At this point I'd rather tap a gen at the beginning of the match and see it starts to regress

Boring but sadly necessary to compete with other meta perks in the mmr hellhole
More necessary on killer
My personal experience strongly disagrees with you and would say they're much more necessary on survivor

"Oh wow, he's tunneling"
These thoughts are much more prevalent while I play than "oh wow, I'm being genrushed"

PWYF is highly situational (I dont think there is any Killer anymore which can utilize it in a good way) and you waste so much time to acquire Stacks.
Just yesterday I saw a Hens video that used PWYF on cenobite while using the Iri addon: you don't lose stacks while damaging people with the Iri chain. Not broken, but interesting and situationally good
Anyway judging by some replies in this thread it really shows how people underestimate how impactful movement speed is in this game

Me when I completely stopped reporting hackers
I just realized this sounds fishy: what I meant is that since reporting hackers revealed itself to be either extremely lengthy or useless, while not digging anything at the core, I stopped. I didn't mean I started cheating myself

Yeah as expected people take something that's a stupid joke and run it into the ground
I know I make hockey jokes on some threads but I don't do it because I think it's some super important slight against the developers, I just think it's a dumb joke that makes me laugh and hope it makes others laugh as well
Also yes I am a hypocrite, I'm gonna make the occasional hockey joke here and there still even if it's starting to get old. If people think Shirtless Felix is at all relevant then I can have this
We're all hypocrites to a certain degree it's ok
-
Survivors should have 6
-
Blink on top of the survivor -> bait dead hard -> blink again -> attack
Blink behind the survivor-> overblink in the direction the survivor is going -> dead hard places survivor under you -> attack and get the down
Blink -> blink -> bait dead hard without lunging -> no extra fatigue
Here you countered dead hard. Good job

Haha I understand why you say that. I do have a decent slowdown build tho. One of my favorite builds on her is: Thanatophobia, Scourge Hook Gift Of Pain, BBQ and Starstruck. I know it has some slowdown in it but I have seen much worse, for example: Ruin, Undying, Scourge Hook Pain Resonance and Corrupt. I feel like I need some slowdown tho because I'm still learning and because of the SBMM.
Some slowdown especially while learning her is ok. What I dislike is people who already should know how to play her and play as if it's a comp game, but oh well
Personally I use jolt only on her. I add corrupt if I haven't played DBD for a while, and just for a couple of games to get the feel out of it again. It's enough even against pretty good player to get a decent game out of it. Then again, I don't mind losing now and then nor getting a 1/2 k with 8-10 hooks (I play for the 12 hooks trying not to tunnel most times)
-
They should just nerf her recharge and range add-ons and/or remove the possibility to stack up slowdown perks (which they won't do).
Her basekit is perfectly fine imho
Also spirit isn't weak at all
-
I have no tips more than what was already said mine is a plead please don't become yet another nurse with stacked up slowdowns
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
People realised that you had to have an ounce of skill as her when Ruin/Undying/Pop/Tinkerer Crow/Ring Blight was right there so they all migrated to continue thinking they're good at the game while the people that were actually good as Spirit in the first place stayed.
Notice how this is a consistent pattern, too. First we had Nurse, with her 4 blink no downside combo. She was hit, and they dropped like flies (and now she's finally had the bugs fixed, people still aren't playing her as much as they used to because she still takes effort now). Spirit was next, she got hit (not even hard) but everyone still cried nerf and moved to Freddy, who was substantially easier and only minorly weaker. He was hit next so, realising that Spirit still took no brain power when playing with the strongest things, they all went back to her, culminating in the IW change to Stridor and finally the overall Spirit nerf, meaning they all moved to Blight now. I'm sure if he ever gets hit, though, they'll realise that DCB/MDR exists as a combo and once more we'll be seeing the Rise Of The "Spirit Mains".
If only i could like a comment more than once
-
It doesn't work as anti tunneling perk at all
-
Sucks to say but I just eyeroll and am like "oh nice here comes the tunnel off hook into cage into tunnel to death" every time I see it's him. And most times I'm not wrong (even if I don't end up being the 'chosen' one)
-
Its not about escaping, it's about wanting to play the game you queued for
-
The problem with that map is that the top floor offers nothing but pallet loops. There are no windows, no jungle gyms, nothing. Removing pallets from the top floor would turn it into a dead zone.
The bottom floor offers an iteration of each jungle gym (1 TL, 1 short wall, 1 longwall and 1 C wall), but then there's just plenty of god pallets too that you have to break. And the breakable walls. They should reduce the number of pallets downstairs, that's it

Nurse playing on smaller maps isn't busted. Remember hawkins it was one of the most difficult maps for nurse and it was small.
The reason it was so difficult for nurse was because of all the Los blockers. You would have to predict if a survivor was going to run into a room or not.
I'm not going to assume anything but most people who say nurse doesn't have counter play don't play nurse. I had a friend who refused to play against blight even when I would explain the counter play. It wasn't until they played the killer they found how other survivors deal with him.
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855048#Comment_2855048
Hawkins is bad map for Nurse because it has so much rooms. It is easy to break LoS on this map. Worst Nurse map probably. And plus Hawkins is not small map. Saloon, The Game and Midwich are small maps. And Nurse is busted on this 3 maps. After Midwich and Saloon, BHVR back to big maps again. Guess why?
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855048#Comment_2855048
You're really using Hawkins, an outlier map that was terrible for Survivors, as justification? It's not even in the game anymore.
Midwich, The Game, Dead Dawg. All three are incredibly good Nurse maps.
Fyi Hawkins wasn't a bad nurse map at all. Long straight corridors and rooms, predictable open doors placements and easy 3 gen strategies made it a very good map for her. This doesn't really matter anymore though since luckily, Hawkins is no more
-
If you don't find it fun... Don't play killer?

That is 100% a survivor’s fault if they’re camping a pallet against Spirit so I have no idea why you’re bringing that up. Again, Father’s Glasses doesn’t help with that anyway because again, it comes on a delay and doesn’t show where the survivor currently is rather it shows where they WERE. There’s a huge difference there.
I said "if they're camping it at all", because you get that information too. They might just be walking around the loop, but you would know it, because you'd see the blood but not the scratch marks. And as I said earlier, the delay is negligible, you could unphase right were the last drop of blood dropped and still be in lunge range
-
@GannTM said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855179#Comment_2855179
But survivors are also invisible to Spirit so your point?
My point is that while survivors have a generic idea of where the killer is, spirit knows exactly where they are thanks to the blood pool.
Consider the situation of the short loop: the Spirit while phasing could clearly see what side of the pallet the survivor is camping, of he's camping the pallet at all, just by waiting for a blood pool. And considering how frequent the blood pools are, it's not like she's going to "waste" phase time. She will know exactly what to do and where to go, while the survivor will just have a generic directional audio of something double his speed moving
-
@GannTM said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855084#Comment_2855084
The add on wasn’t the problem, it was Spirit not giving information. Now she has directional audio so she should still have counterplay even with the add on now than before.
Directional audio doesn't help against an invisible thing that moves almost twice as fast than you. You know where she kinda is but if she's close enough all that matters is reaction time and readnig what the opponent is going to do. If one side has all the information about where the opponent is (aka the blood), then there's no counterplay
