These are legitimate strategies that are part of the game and will NEVER be removed 🙂

If you can't have fun because of them, there are plenty of other games to play, like Metro Exodus, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, The Sims 4, Propnight, Crystar, Bright Memory: Infinite, Command and Conquer 3: Red Alert, Rabi-Rabi, Fire Pro Wrestling World, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Koihime Enbu, Skullgirls, Deus Ex, Portal, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Alan Wake, Alpha Protocol, Bayonetta, Boson X, Crisis in the Kremlin, Pathologic 2, The Void, Sleeping Dogs, Life is Strange, Way of the Samurai 4, Insurgency, Left 4 Dead 2, Splitgate, ATOM RPG, Eternal Senia, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Wasteland 2: Director's Cut, Europa Universalis 4, Drifter, The Silver Case, Honey Select 2, and Civ 6.

Stop being a survivor crybaby and just enjoy the game.

No one likes to be camped tho, In the end game it’s fine

hi so today I just casually played with my friend dbd and yeah we had some good and bad matches but the last one was completely just??

basically the killer (huntress) went after everyone until there were 3 of us and then out of nowhere they just started to ignore one of the players so even though that one player was following them around, crouching in front of them they didn’t do anything but when it came to me and my friend they killed us instantly

after that they just went a blood points spree where the survivor and killer were dropping and kicking pallets and then they let them go which sure I get that.

I was helped by killers many times but only when I was the last survivor except this isn’t that?? this game the killer just teamed up with the survivor out of nowhere in the middle of the game and intentionally went after everyone but them and when I called them out they acted oblivious and then started talking shi..

has anyone had this happen to them? and should I just ignore it next time

I have done this when I play demo. I don’t kill Nancys, Kate’s, jills or Claire’s. I had a match with where there was a Nancy, 2 neas and a Zarina. I went up to the Nancy and nodded at here then went after everyone else. She tried to body block when she found out I wasn’t gonna kill her and was going after everyone else. After everyone was dead she tried to get me to hook her and kill her but I took her to the exit gate instead. It was a ttv too. I have had many matches where I would slug one of those four survivors and go after the other person, then them and then give the survivor I left on the ground hatch. If I see a Kate hill Claire and Nancy in the lobby at that point I just meme around and often time they have tried to get me to hook them at the end when everyone else is gone. This Claire wanted me too hook her with very little time left and I carried her to the gate and luckily I didn’t kill her that would have made me sad lol

didn't mean noed as a perk in general.

just noed in association with camping. when survivors have no choice but to rush gens and don't have time to look for totems.

noed as a perk on its own is fine IMHO.

Apparently your lazy if you can’t cleanse totems and do gens while the killer is camping. I have been told that😒

Okay, this is a bit much.

I've been pretty vocal about disliking how Dead Hard can be abused, but attacking people on a personal level is too far.

and probably incorrect at that. A lot of people who run Dead Hard are in general pretty good at the game and won't be affected horribly by a nerf.

Even tru talent uses dead hard

I can't bring myself to play any other character than Claudette unless it's for a challenge or if the whole lobby is Claudette and I don't want the killer to hate and tunnel me, in which case I'll switch to a baby Dwight.

No other character has been able to charm me as Claudette has, I just like her too much, her voice, her looks, her powers of stealth. Sure David has muscles and Felix has nice facial structure and beautiful hair, but I just can't play them like I can with Claudette. I just wish there were less reskins of cosmetics and more unique ones.

Do you have any such attachments to your characters?

    Claire, Jill, Nancy and Kate

    Question on title.

"Halloween" is best chapter for me. Myers is outdated killer this days but he was good at first times. He was fun to play or against. And BHVR did really good job with him.

I will put "A Binding of Kin Chapter" to worst chapter. Boring killer. Boring perks for both roles. No new map. Survivor (Elodie) has ugly voice. This chapter was worst for sure (For me).

Best: resident evil or stranger things

    worst: legion chapter

I already use SB, it's as good as DH if you know how to manage your exhaustion.

But to come back to the thread, I wouldn't mind. Experiments are fun IMO. I remember we had a week-end without Bloodlust. I was pretty new at this moment, I didn't notice the difference (I was extremely bad, it didn't change anything to me because the Killer caught me before Bloodlust could even starts its first tier).

I'm doing the experiment for myself as I stopped to run DH a couple of week ago. It doesn't feel as terrible as I'd think it'd be. I even feel better as I enjoy SB more, but I know it's purely subjective.

I use lithe now. I have tried using sprint burst and dead hard but lithe is just a better match for me.

I honestly can't believe people are getting mad about this perk.

Post after post after post of killers talking about the perk, upset that they don't make it to some hooks, complaining that they can't get to their scourge hooks after leaving them on the ground for too long. I keep getting postgame messages about it, complaining that they aren't allowed to slug or that they can't see it coming. So because of that, I guess it's a big issue now?

But I guess since slugging's a bit risky now, everyone's all up in arms about Flip-Flop. I really just don't get it. And I definitely didn't invent this drama wholesale out of boredom.

Especially when we have OP perks we should absolutely complain about, like Lightborn.

Your crazy. The most OP perk in the game is “This is not happening”. Honestly stronger than Dead hard and should make all killer main scared to play against. I know I am scared

Where the hell did you get your 40%?

Well, that might be true if your ping is in hundreds, but that sounds like your issue.

You always have option to use DH earlier if you know you have high ping, but that is not always option for a killer.

    Your Myers vid😭

This is why I've been bringing Bond lately. With how bad MMR is, it's great to find useless team mates and lead the killer to them so they start doing something for once.

You can bring all the team perks, I don’t matter if you have teammates with no brain. Although your reasoning for bringing Bond is hilarious lol

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

But I didn't teabag a Killer. I teabagged another survivor.

Everyone knows the dizzying highs and frustrating lows of Solo queue.

Load into a match against a Spirit. My teammates were not doing well. Not at all (thanks MMR).

    Long story short;

I did all the hook saves.

I did two generators, when one of my teammates gets hooked a second time. I run for the save, because this one Kate was nowhere to be found. I thought maybe the Kate was AFK somewhere. At one point, my 2 teammates were on their second hook. I'm on a gen and I think- "can't this Kate get ONE bloody save?". But I soon realize Kate has no intention of helping even though they've never been hooked. I run for the saves, but Spirit is camping (the hooks were close together). I lead the Spirit away, halfway across the map. Loops, pallet stuns, I escape after being injured only to see these two team mates struggle for the entire duration and be sacrificed.

Kate didn't bother to try for them while I was trying to get the Killer as far as possible. REALLY annoying. So there I am, and I see this Kate creeping around across the map and think; "What the hell have you been doing all game???". At that point I had done 2/3 gens (the dead team mates did the other) I did ALL the hook saves. ALL the looping.

I even manage to finish a 3rd generator on my own while there were just the 2 of us left. Kate and her map is basically HIDING, trying to wait out me being found. I jump into a snowman and start goofing around because it was so ridiculous at this point, and if I got hooked, I knew the Kate would leave me to die.

Finally, FINALLY the Spirit must have found wherever this team mate was crouching and hooks her. I'm so put off that no- I didn't try for the save. The Spirit was sticking really close to the hook anyways. The Kate starts waving her arms, and yes. I teabag. I TEABAGGED so she can see my teabagging aura. This selfish person did absolutely nothing to help or save their team mates the entire game, so why should they expect their team mates to help them?

Kate goes to struggle and dies, I get the hatch by the skin of my teeth (literally was hit on the way out).

End game stats: I had 27k+ bloodpoints.

    The Kate had 6,900k

The other two had below 6k. (once again, THANKS MMR!)

I get a message from Kate: "You have been reported to Playstation Safety for working with the Killer".

I reply: "I wasn't working with the Killer, you dummy. You did nothing all game. I kept the Killer occupied across the map in a chase and you didn't even attempt to save your team mates. You did no gens. If you don't help your team, don't expect your team to help you."

    Kate: "Reported for abuse!"

I'm not sorry. Would you be?

And this is why solo que is unplayable. Because of teammates like that. Good for you happy you made it out. I had a similar match where is this yui and the other dummies weren’t doing anything to help. I was looping the killer doing gens and saves. Two died and it was me and yui. I finished the last gen then huntress finds me. I see yui by the gate so I take huntress away. This was in midwich so I was taking her throw the stairs for a long time finally I get hit and head towards the gate. Only to the yui crouching by the gate with 0 progress. I go down and huntress lets her go I died. I finished with 25k points, yui with 15k. So really 10k because of the escape bonus. BS. I dont really care if I win or lose but Those are the games where I get pissed when losing. Do everything I can to help just for my teammates to get me killed.

When i play solo q i barely have any fun, because my teammates get demolished and the killer plays as much hard as he can... when his opponents aren't even competition. What are your tips/ strategies to help your solo q teammates?

When i play serious, i bring BT (to help my team)... but even that doesn't seem enough to consistently have a chance at winning as a survivor.

Find friends and escape as much as possible. Once u do, hope that your mmr is high enough to pair you with better people.

I initially tried it on him, but I think my Demo MMR is getting highish (I play him a lot these days) and everyone just predrops, so I have to manually charge a shred and can't just zoom into one as it drops.

I ended up doing it on Nemmy which seemed to be more consistent.

Yeah mine is starting to get high as well. Been playing more people that use flashlights, flashbangs and deadhard. Yesterday I played one survivor game and a lot of killer. Got to silver tier 4 to hold tier 4. Even if survivors pre drop, as long as you time it right with barbs glasses, you are fine really. And there is nothing better than mind gaming and connecting on a shred attack

No? That's literally how Hex totems work, and you don't see people complaining about it. Sure, Hex totems are more powerful than Boon totems, and making them a one-time perk like Hex totems would require some tweaking to them (like perhaps getting rid of the chime, making them just like Hex totems for survivors, and maybe adjusting their abilities or percentages), but I don't really see it as a bad idea to make it just one-time.

Like you said, hexes are much powerful and there is only one boon perk that’s good. The other two aren’t. So a one time use would make those two useless at that point. One thing I would like to see is if it was like plaything. You see the boon totem highlighted from some distance like plaything. Cool down would be good too or killers breaking the totem. It would give them petiemento easier too so that’s good

  • I want that perk in the shine. I hate leatherface (in the game he’s good in the movie) so I dont want to buy him. I only buy cool bad as* killers like demo, pyramid head, nemesis, the artist, Freddy, plague, Oni and spirit

Closing in on 350 hours, so decided I'd write up a list of observations regarding the behavior of survivors based on their choice of avatar.

Very curious as to where you agree/disagree.

Tapp - Rare, generally very skilled. The god of pallet stunning you the second you pick a survivor up. Runs weird perks and makes them work.

Jane - Desperately wants to use her Head On, even if it takes 5 minutes for you to pass by. Keeps AFK crows as pets.

Dwight - A wildcard, but tends towards being a toxic little gremlin - especially if he's wearing the 'Dwelf' or 'Present' skin. Usually easy to catch. #1 survivor to rage DC within 1 minute of the game starting. His flashlight macros sound like a typewriter.

Laurie - Ranges from new to moderately experienced. Will sacrifice herself to give her allies the gate. Her medkit somehow lasts forever. Is a grandmother IRL.

Meg - Ranges from adorably derpy to a looping machine. Not generally toxic but complains about her team in postgame.

Kate - Silly, endearing, gives up too easily. Has a tendency to lead you to other survivors mid chase. Amazing at 360s.

Ash - Pretty chill in-game. Bodyblocking champion. Tends to sulk when he starts losing, and either gives up or suicides on hook. Probably the most likely to QQ in postgame.

Bill - Either a total newbie or a monster. Sometimes loses due to being excessively altruistic. Cursed with getting generator skill checks the second he leaves.

Nea - Usually a nightmare combination of pretty good and insanely BM. Teabags your zombies and still somehow escapes. Always finds the gen you hoped she wouldn't really early.

Elodie - Does 4 gens solo without you ever seeing her. Decent player. Never complains even when her team lets her down.

Feng - You just know that she's the waifu of whoever is playing her. Has the unique ability to teleport the second she rounds a corner.

Claudette - Her inability to loop is counteracted by her ability to hide in the bushes whenever she smells the killer within 60m. Always runs Spine Chill. Spends too much time self-caring. Generally pretty well mannered.

Ace - Bar none the most likely to go out of his way to make the killer miserable, even if it costs his team the game. Second most likely to rage DC. Always brings a Haddonfield or Badham offering. Think's he's a great player, but struggles without his SWF. Can be annoyingly slippery.

Jill - Any Jill with a non-standard skin is going to loop you for 5 gens. Don't even bother chasing her, she's way better than you. Will always manage to Kobe the second you leave her alone, pick up two slugs and open the exit gates before you know what happened.

Jake - Prone to teabagging, turning 180 degrees then walking directly into a trap and DCing.

Leon - Adorable derpy puppies. Sometimes toxic, but generally silly and entertaining enough that you don't hold it against them. Loves to Dead Hard into walls, flashbang themselves or hide in a locker directly in front of you. Thinks you have wallhacks.

David - Teabagging gold medal champion. #1 most likely to have a dumb name and be a jerk in postgame. Frequently makes a beeline for the exit gates with someone on the hook right next to him.

Mikaela - Decent player. Spends way too much time trying to boon everything. Loves to unhook you right in front of the killer, but means well.

Chris - The king of running into the corners of the map and going down. When you find a good one, you tend to remember them. Tries to add you postgame. Asks for feet pictures.

Jeff - Immensely chill, generally pretty good but not amazing. Often the #1 choice for 'you get gate/hatch'. Memelord supreme.

Nancy - Terminal case of locker addiction. She's often very salty in postgame. Prone to DCing.

Steve - If he's running his 'Scoops' skin, prepare for a lethal dose of toxicity. His souped up flashlight is powered entirely by teabagging.

Yun-Jin - Loves to flashlight blind you at pallets or when you vault, but forgets to run anywhere after. You wonder if she's hacking or just running weird perks. Not as quiet as she thinks she is.

Jonah - Calm, skilled, well mannered. He's not there to waste anyone's time. Always brings a tricked out toolbox.

Felix - Does not exist, your memories of seeing him 100 games ago are a dream.

Cheryl - She's busy opening a chest in the basement, don't expect to be unhooked any time soon. Nobody is better at finding the hatch the second someone dies. She makes you wonder if she's lag-switching or using a potato for a router.

Zarina - Tricky, the absolute queen of picking up a slug the second your back is turned. Always tries risky vaults mid chase.

Claudette’s: garbage teammates that run self care and urban evasion, bring the killer towards you when you are working on a gen because they can’t loop. They can also be extremely toxic when I play killer. I always play nice with everyone but when I see one Claudette in the lobby, they are not gonna enjoy the game.

(I know I already showed this but I'm somewhat proud of it and don't have many chances to show it off)

Even though my preferred DBD Spin-off would be a 2D Fighter, I could see a Kart Racer being dumb fun. The Entity's college experiment to see if it'd prefer more happy emotion rather than it's current feast off fear and hope (that's the lore reason, The Entity was with a bunch of other cosmic horrors beyond our human comprehension and they started drinking and the Entity played Mario Kart Wii with them and decided they wanted Bill to do that).

Of course we have a large roster with maybe some guests, interesting items, maybe pre-lobby customization with perks, there's honestly a lot of potential.

Do I think DBD should do this. Absolutely not, what are you insane? Do I want them to do it. Absolutely yeah, no question about it.

Trappers head on donkey Kong had me dying lol. Yes I would love this. It would give players another mode. And if you have a lot of friends, you can play with them too as in custom matches it’s only allowed 5 players. Also there would be not tbagging or anything toxic so that’s a plus. I would play this along with survivor and killer mode. If it’s anything like Mario kart wii, it’s a win

I honestly don’t mind her face. In the lobby, she looks cool to me. This all my opinion tho I know a lot of people complain about her and Jill’s face. I use both of them and I like the way they look in the lobby. They look weird when the camera shows their face when the game starts but as long as they look good in the lobby it’s fine.

And I play nice I like to farm sometimes and give people hatch too. But showboating a pre dropped pallet is just pathetic

True. I had a strobe lighting t bagging survivor earlier. So I beat them on hook with 8 stacks of satisfying demo noises.

In the EGC. They were angry. I was beating them on hook. And when I asked "So you can strobe light, and tbag. But I can't hit on hook ?"

    Their reply was. "Yes"

If you camp me or my teammates I’ll tbag, if you flashlight click or tebag, I’ll camp you and hit you on the hook. Today I had a David tbag me and I hooked him. Ate ds but still went after him. Got off the hook with bt trying to bait a hit, count to 12 with him panicking and boom. He died and he deserved it

So hello again guys and this time I am back with another forum post, but this time I thought about doing something I haven't really thought of before and that is if The Green Goblin was a playable killer in Dead By Daylight.

Now actually a couple days ago, I tried making a concept for how The Green Goblin would work in this game, which I almost posted on the forums, but then I noticed a whole bunch of flaws with his power to a point where I just scrapped it all, but I might end up tweaking or reworking some of the aspects I made with how exactly The Green Goblin's power would work, so ya I might end up making a Green Goblin killer concept soon.

Now first of all, this is probably never going to happen, but I'm looking at this like a "What if Dead By Daylight didn't use just mainly Horror IP's" sort of deal.

So now I want to go over on what exactly are my thoughts that say in a alternate reality, where Dead By Daylight didn't just use Horror IP's, and if they were some how in some way able to get The Green Goblin (Which the version I'm thinking of BHVR using is the 2002 Sam Raimi "Spiderman" version) into the game, and what I would think of it, and the answer I would say is...

    Yes.

After watching the film that he came from, or just specifically his character, I thought that he was a bit terrifying in some aspects, and after seeing "Spiderman: No Way Home" (No Spoilers Included), I thought that if BHVR decided to not do a Horror IP once, I honestly thought that The Green Goblin would easily be such a great pick for being a non Horror IP character.

So overall, is this forum post a bit goofy?

    Maybe.

Did I just post a forum post for the sake of just posting a forum post?

    Yes.

But would The Green Goblin be cool? And in my opinion, I would say...

    Yes.

So now after all of this I just said, I want to know your thoughts that if somehow one day, The Green Goblin all of a sudden gets announced as a new killer, what do you think his power, esthetics, addons, etc. Would be, and most importantly, what is your thoughts of if The Green Goblin as a character in general and would he somewhat be cool in Dead By Daylight.

But ya with all of that out of the way I think that's everything I have to say about this forum post.

Honestly imagine a garchomp (Pokémon) skin for demogorgon

So, since October 28th I've been collecting data from all of my survivor matches. I've noted what killers I've faced, and how many kills they've gotten, and of course how many escapes those killers have had. I'm aiming to get 500 games by December 25th, so far I have 425.

I know a lot of you guys like data, so I thought this would be an interesting "gift" for some of you, I know I love looking at the raw numbers myself.

Happy holidays, all, I look forward to posting the results Christmas day! ^^

Yeah I usually don’t have an issue with Noed but if the killer is camping and gets a second kill because of it it feels undeserved

according to some killer mains, you can do totems and do gens while killer is camping😑

  • It’s just not good honestly if you want to run a full totem build then yeah it’s fine but detectives hunch just does more. And if the last gen pops and some one gets hit with noed immediately, you see the totems and get it out easily

  • @Marigoria said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2706630#Comment_2706630

For body block teams, starstruck and madgrit are absolutely amazing together. If you want a full carrying build I'd use agitation, mad grit, starstruck and iron grasp.

I can’t with the full carry build because then I’ll get destroyed. I use ruin, surge and lethal purser and it’s good enough along with iron grasp. I make a ton of mistakes but it’s fine I just have to get better with my demo puppy. Last 4 matches 4k, 3k, 3k, 3k I gave hatch to the last 2 survivors. But yes I do find it funny when they tell you to run something to counter something else

  • “Your friendly neighborhood pyramid head main” love that lol. This is actually helpful thank you so much. He is such a cool killer

  • If you can yes. Small game helps with totems, detectives hunch helps with totems gens and chests. More upside. Plus if you pair it with a green map, it’s basically like a Rainbow map where you see everything. I like perk

It's funny isnt it? Killers think it's ok to tell survivors to bring perks to counter this or that, but when you tell them to bring lightborn they get all up and arms how "i shouldnt need something to counter an item". Like, the solution is right in front of their eyes but they'd rather have a victim complex and scream "this and that op" than use the counters.

I hate dealing with body blocking teams that forced me to go to another hook if they sabotage it. I use iron grasp now and is it great? No, but it has bailed me out plenty of times and It has helped me out so much. I do need star stuck tho.

I get people not wanting to bring lightborne but like cmon perks to counters perks isn't new nor is it going anywhere. If you don't want lightborne bring franklins. If you dont like small game bring counter force.

I don’t like small game I think it sucks, I run detectives hunch😎

Even though I haven't played Silent Hill 2, I've loved playing as Pyramid Head since I got him in my roster of available killers. I still like him these days since I think he's strong and fair.

What about you guys? Do you share the same sentiment or is it different (my bet is because Pyramid Head players use Torment to focus on tunneling survivors out 24/7, which I do my best not to do)?

I love him, cool power and badas* chase music. I want to master him because he is fun to play as but I’m trying to master demo first. What build do you run on pyramid head?

You mean like when people are asked to use small game instead of a game changing perk like DS just because the killer might have noed?

    facts

How is DS "god-mode"? Can you not be killed at all if you have DS?

Uninstalling also hard counters "survivor op", yet some of you guys don't want to do it.

I feel like this discussion has been had so many time already lol. I had a Meg call me camper when they had one gen left and it was a 3 gen. I didn’t camp I went away and I got her with my shred attack. She dced😑. There are ways to counter tunneling, but it requires having a good team first and then perks second. “Strength in numbers” but if your teammates don’t take hits or try to take the chases if you are getting tunneled then that’s on your team. Ds can counter to a certain degree but killers will usually get back on them and if it’s a nurse, ds wont do much. I had feng use DS on me because I was stupid not to pay attention but I got her after. As for noed, it’s fine the way it is. Small game I don’t really like, but I use detectives hunch, circle of healing, borrowed time and lithe. Detectives is really good I like it. The only thing I dont like about noed is that you don’t have time to do bones if a killer is face camping at 5 gens because the only way to counter that is by gen rushing. I know there are people that say you can do both while a killer is camping but unless u have Probzz looping the killer after the person on hook is sacrificed, that narrative is bs.
