  • They should really save them for when he's already level 3, because hitting infected survivors with the tentacle attack gives him way less infection than hitting uninfected people.

If you only get 1 kill that's not "playing decently." You got trounced, that's probably why you get GGEZ'd. Still poor sportsmanship on their part but just saying.

Who's to say it's his fault that he got 1k though? We all know this game's not balanced.

you just dont want to accept the truth. there are so many OP things about killers

Yeah like the ability to damage survivors!

  • This is a poor bandaid fix. It still comes down to you needing to bring Franklin's just to counter keys, instead of doing the smart thing and nerfing/removing keys.

    Thats the problem here.

Risk and reward is not ballanced at all.

50% of the time, survivors do dull totems even the killer does not have it.

The other 50% he might have it, but they cant find the last totem or are slaughtered in the process. It is underrated how much time it takes to cleanse 5 totems. This is basicly a full survivor doing nothing for 3 minutes at least, even with totem finding perks. Survivors can not afford playing 3v1 for a big part of the round just to neutralize a single perk that might not even be used by the killer.

My suggestion for noed: Give the survivor a notification, that the killer runs Noed, then they can decide what to do by themselve.

So killers have to play risk/reward (with DS, BT, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, etc) but survivors don't have to?

And y'all's interpretation of how all the totems get cleansed is so linear and unrealistic. You don't just run around the map getting all the totems and then decide to do gens. You do a totem near the gen, then get on it and finish it, and maybe you even have Inner Strength which is extra payoff for the time you spent doing the totems. Rinse and repeat that, and the gen speed will only be slightly slowed down. 1 person doing a totem doesn't turn it into a 3v1 match, because you're still in there in between totem breaks. You can still do gens, heal, and take chases. Not every match do you need to do totems either. If you know 3 or 4 of the killer's perks, or he's an actual good killer, you can conclude that he doesn't have NOED. In the case that you get a bad killer who will obviously have NOED, you have more than enough time to get all of the totems.

And survivors do get a notification for NOED, once the killer's gotten a down with it, or even before that if you see that the totem is lit.

  • @Nazeef13 said:

Noed is fine. Killers literally handicapping themselves with 3 perks for the entire round to get 1 down during endgame. if they were running 4 perks you would've been wiped before the 5 gens were even done.

Only time noed is a problem is against campers, as you can face camp 1-2 people to death and then get a potential third down during end game. At that point, you can't punish campers by doing gens.

Uh, yes you can. You gen rush while he's camping. When NOED happens, you have to either break the totem or leave the 1 guy so that everyone else can escape. All too often, people will let the killer get a 3-4k when they literally could have given him 1 kill max from the camp. Yes, it sucks for the guy on hook but that's a loss for the killer, a 1k with NOED.

because it's not as simple as clicking your fingers and knowing where all of them are, it has legit taken teams 10 minutes to find all the totems nevermind cleansing them

It sounds like they weren't at all familiar with the totem spawns. Once you get that down, it's ez.

the fact you think it would take 5-6 minutes to cleanse all the totems is just idiotic, some maps it takes that long just to find one tottem, also what games do you killer mains play where gens are all done in 5 minutes, I've only ever had maybe 10 out of hundreds of games where that ######### happens, if survivors get all 5 gens done in 5-6 minutes against you regularly that just means your #########, RUIN and POP are there for a reason.

It takes like 4 minutes to get all the totems as long as the killer isn't interrupting you, and it's even faster if you're doing them as a team. If that's, you have OP Counterforce now. Gens can be done in 5 minutes easily, it doesn't matter how rare an occurrence it is. And that's wrong. All it takes is survivors putting their heads together and getting stuff done instead of memeing around and being inefficient the whole match. Just because a killer gets gen rushed doesn't mean they're bad, it means the game has ######### balance. Even 20-second chases won't save you there.

  • @BrodieDBD said:

I hate when people say just do the totems because if you go around cleansing them all, 1 - you might not even make it to end game, and 2 - they might not even have noed, so you've just wasted a lot of time with the fear of 1 perk.

    Risk and reward.

  • @MrPenguin said:

Either break the 5 totems or break the one totem after it activates. If you suck at finding totems bring a map or perk for it, learn the spots, then take it off once you do if you don't want to run them anymore (you can still keep it for efficiency reasons).

Small game and Detectives Hunch work fine as well as the new Jill perk.

I haven't had a problem with NoED in a very long time, although I'm usually the dedicated totem hunter in my group since I know the spots fairly well. Learn the spots, its not hard to counter and the killer plays the vast majority of the game with one less perk.

The survivors have 16 perks between them, they can easily give up 1 for a totem perk to counter 1, potentially more, of the killers 4 perks.

And a lot of the people complaining about NOED, here's what they do: "Oh, he has NOED. Let me cleanse these 2 dull totems AND THEN look for the NOED." Or earlier in the match: "Let me cleanse this dull totem but not the others so that when NOED spawns it will spawn in an even harder place to find, instead of at the obvious one I just broke." People really don't know how to play around NOED and that's why they complain.

  • Because if it didn't do that, you wouldn't get slowed so even if she did instantly tp she still would need to run for a few seconds to catch up to you which is stupid. Survivors can already do that as long as they activate the trap at the very edge and already started running, and it's not very fair for the killer if you ask me. She basically gets cheated out of the 1 good thing her power does.

  • I can't play survivor without Spine Chill.

  • Yep. Still waiting.

  • No, they should fix their game because it worked perfectly fine before and it can again.

  • Nurse is the worst killer in the game?!

  • It's never leaving, even though it causes so many of the game's problems.

  • Oh you gotta get Hag. If you hate her playstyle then get Oni or Blight instead.

  • I'll just wait until the game is playable. I'm not playing this game in this garbage state.

tbf, the system has been around forever and was largely fine on most of the original maps since they are just single floor maps. Old Thompson House had a guaranteed hook spawn on the 2nd floor balcony to prevent any issues with the house.

What happens when that hook is gone though, and you still need to defend that upstairs gen, and it's a 3-gen? Half the reason we have a hook spacing problem is because the devs decided "Let's have the hook be destroyed after someone dies on it." It's supposed to discourage staying in one area, but why/how exactly is that such a game breaking bad thing? If someone is gonna camp, and the hook breaks, they'll just camp in another area. If they have a 3-gen and keep hooking someone in the middle hook, that's the survivors' fault for getting themselves in that position.

  • It needs to be. That doesn't mean it will be though.

  • I've never understood the devs' fashion sense.

  • The devs need to understand that distance alone is not a good enough judge of good hook spacing. There are walls, obstacles, different elevations, etc.

That's just boring though , I may be toxic when I'm in game for a good laugh but I'm always respectful in the endgame chat and try to be positive and even invite the killer to join me on survivor sometimes and make new friends , being cocky in game is just a meme pretty much and for laughs more than anything, I run meme builds and killers will find it hilarious and farm sometimes , people take this game way too personal and get up in their feeling over a tbag or a point or a head on stun etc... And they take it as a real life insult like someone is attacking their pride it's absolutely ridiculous

Because it's hard to be toxic (as we know it in the real world) on a game with no voice chat, so they'll just use whatever works. Tbags are universally understood to be an in-game "######### you", so no I don't think it's acceptable. If you act toxic in the game and then nice af afterwards, people will just think you're two-faced.

Why can't you take it seriously? There are several ways of playing this game as killer and survivor that perfectly fit in to the description "douchebag." Bming from either role without it being instigated by the other, douchy, being a bullying survivor, douchy, sweating and tunneling the ######### out of the first person you find, douchy. Franklins demise, especially during an event, douchy. Way too many players in this game are #########. I'm a completionist so I'm getting all these crowns. I got all the killers crowns and farmed with the guys, or if they didn't want to farm I killed them like they seem to want. Getting all the survivor crowns solo queue has been painful (I have 7 to go). Killers are playing like such douches that you have to usually rush gens to even get the opportunity to escape, then look for the crown unless you lucked in to one earlier. Half the time I'm tunneled the whole game and face camped with noed optional, randoms aren't gonna come save that. Then sometimes if the killer is losing early they dc. Often if a survivor goes down early or if its a spirit or dickhead killer, dc. There is no reason to play that way unless you're just an #########. It's a noticeable departure from the normal sweatiness, it's gross.

Even tunneling, camping, and slugging are not toxic unless they're accompanied by BM like hitting on hook and head nods. They're strategies that can be easily punished if the other survivors know what they're doing. Most of it comes down to rushing gens. Yeah, maybe the killer guaranteed gets a kill on that tunneled person, but the other 3 escape and that killer depips. Being "tryhard" or using NOED/Franklin's/putting a strong build on a strong killer is not being a douche bag. It's just playing smart. The killer wants to win too, and they'll use whatever they're given to do so.

Agree completely. Its just that for me, the cocky ones 99% get away with it, hence why they do it.

There's just so much in this game that favors players like that. DS, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, flashlight saves, hook sabotage, etc. DS specifically is dumb because after the nerf it can still be abused. All you have to do is body block a teammate or throw a chase and you get a free stun on the killer for playing bad. And yeah the killer can respect the DS, but then again they might not have it, or if you don't take it now you'll have to take it later.

Even just hitting a survivor, they get such a huge sprint burst that if they're not on the opposite end of the map, they get out the gate because you take too long to catch up.

And even when you can catch them, their teammates body block. If you know your teammate is being toxic, and you go out of your way to save them with body blocks and stuff, you're contributing to this game's toxicity because you let them get away with it.

  • I'm sure I would if I could play it. The console experience.

  • I'm tired of seeing rehashes of this same question. People want to win, so they try to. They don't have to farm to get good points, and the bp offerings are mostly irrelevant to what goes on in the match.

  • @SMitchell8 said:

Toxic players are good players, they have skill to back up there arrogance and assertiveness. How many times you do you rrally catch the annoying survivor out of the 4? Me, barely ever.

But they shouldn't act arrogant or cocky just because they can back it up. They're the power role so they should be humble. Just play well or whatever and leave through the gates.

  • I guess when the survivors don't do anything to punish the killer for doing that.

For example, let's not leave the 1 person on hook so the rest of us can escape, let's fail a hook bomb and end up giving the killer a 3k.

  • I don't think survivors should have a perk this strong. I-frames should not exist in this game, most importantly. Unlike other exhaustion perks, you're usually seeing this perk being used at the end of the chase and not the beginning like Lithe or Sprint Burst. So when you think you're about to down the survivor after an already-long chase, they get a dash and make it to the pallet/window which they normally wouldn't have gotten to. And even if you literally hit through them or you throw a hatchet directly on them, it won't connect. They're invincible because of the i-frames.

  • I can't even play him because of console freezes.

  • I really try with this game, I really do. But these last few updates have been absolutely horrible. The fps problems and freezes have got to stop. I can't play more than 2 matches without getting fed up and turning the game off. This is literal "unplayable" territory here.

  • When people accuse killers of playing like a "douchebag" or something, I can't take it seriously. There's just nothing constructive there. Unless they shake their heads or hit you on hook, there's nothing wrong with how they're playing.

  • Some of them are pretty cringe and others are detached from reality.

  • You have DS, BT, Camaraderie, and Dead Hard to avoid camping and tunneling.

  • @m1lly said:

This game is straight up too killer sided.

Why is every patch a buff to killers? Like, does anybody in balancing department understand that killer is way too powerful in the current game? Killers win too easily and entirely too much.

All one has to do is play survivor to understand the game is unplayable and not the least enjoyable. Killers camp, tunnel, slug all with extremely oppressive perks such as Infectious Freight, Ruin, Undying, and Tinkerer. If you are not playing in like some kind of 4 man sweat team, then there is no winning. None.

It is impossible to escape the killer meta. Killers are winning effortlessly with very oppressive perks and survivors have nothing to be able to counteract it. Survivor perks are constantly nerfed into uselessness and killer perks buffed for easy wins.

Maps are too killer sided with nothing but deadzones. There is too many hooks on the map. Why does the wiggle mechanic exist if hooks are only 5 meters apart? Killers get all the bloodpoints in the match.

When is this game going to be balanced?

The game is still survivor sided. Some of these killer buffs have been a long time coming. Killers are getting so many buffs because they're so weak against efficient survivors. Hold M1 for 2 minutes to win, and that's survivor at high level, mixed in with occasional chases where you can pre-drop pallets to be completely safe. If you get downed you're supposed to get hooked. The reason they wiggle is there is to punish killers for being stupid and going for a far hook, or so that survivors can make sabotage plays. If you're getting downed and hooked really fast as survivor, you still have a lot to learn.

    No.

  • Competitive. No keys, no moris.

  • Ash. They're always good loopers.

  • Their power level is justified by their rarities.

  • Yeah pretty much all killers, and survivors, are bad to play now because of the freezes. But Nemesis especially, I'm not even kidding, EVERY TIME you try to use his power the game freezes. And when survivors Dead Hard, your game freezes, whether you're the survivor or the killer.

  • What? You're joking with me! Hatch is the shining jewel of this game! We can't possibly have a better endgame mechanic than this! /s

My least favorite bug prevents vaults and pallet drops in a chase. Don't matter who I am or the perks I have nor the map. I can try slow or rushed and they don't happen. prompt is on screen and I hit the button followed by nothing. I try pre-dropping now to give extra time. This hasn't happened in a while and now it has returned. Hard to care to try when the game screws you. Frustrating to try to recreate when you are being tunneled.

    Why can't it work?

I haven't seen that one. You can make a thing about that in the bug reports section.

I am only referring to Perks. The other stuff works fine, IMO.

If it's just perks, they could also make it to where you can "prefer" up to 4 perks or something that will have a higher chance of appearing in your bloodweb.

  • I think it should be limited to 2 things (perks, items, add-ons, offerings) that can be banned. Otherwise people will abuse it to have the bloodweb give only tombstone piece and Styptic Agent and OP/annoying stuff like that.
