I'm just looking forward to the release of the Spirit nerf, personally.

I'm 100% willing to explain my choices if you just ask.
This is as of The Oni's PTB.
I mostly agree with you with some minor adjustments. I think Clown is better than LF, for example. He's not easy to be good with and could use some tweaks though, that's for sure.
Nice list

What if it's the entity mouth opening up, swallong the survivor and it closes and lets out a big GLUB or suddenly burps...
The survivors left behind get to hear the belch lol. I'm always happy to see more of the Entity

Yea, cause I love that idea, so maybe it could be handled like Demos teleportation animations? It's a good question how it would like...
Entity spikes/mouth opening up and you fall through the floor maybe? Survivor scream added!
That's a great idea! Might even be cool enough for the start of a whole new killer
-
@Gay Myers (Luzi) said:
I really like that idea! I think a big issue I can see is the animation though, considering the spinning of the traps right now can cause motion sickness, so I wonder how it would be if you get teleported to her?
Good point. It would definitely have to be handled carefully.
-
@Mandy said:
Actually that's a pretty cool idea - it would be so disorientating as well for the survivor which is pretty fun. It would definitely need a cool down of some sort though to prevent it from becoming way too strong.
I'm just imagining all the cool plays. "Oh, going for that unhook are you? How about you join me in the basement instead!"

There is no rulebook other than the devs'. Simply ignore anyone who says otherwise.

Lmao. I can't remember the last time I even saw a survivor cleanse a dull totem, even as a survivor.
I don't think you're looking very hard then. On ps4 I regularly have to race other survivors to a dull totem. If it's a Nancy I will let her have it.
-
Kindred
-
The funny part is I can usually tell when a killer is running NOED because they are doing poorly and/or not kicking/protecting gens much at all. It's almost as if they want you to gen rush so you don't have time to do all the totems and then they can activate easy mode and get a couple kills.
Sorry but NOED is the reason many games go from a 0-1k to a 2-4k for bad killers. Does that mean that every killer uses it is bad? Obviously not. But there's a reason why it's a must have for killers like insidious basement campers. You can play as ######### as you want for three quarters of the game and then almost guarantee yourself an extra kill or 2.
-
@HelloAndGoodbye said:
Just no.
A legal rage quit button is the worst thing this game could have.
Bleed out are just 2 min.
And maybe a survivor has DS, Unbreaklebill or just wiggle free.
The match isnt over until its over.
If the gates are open, the killer can still get a survivor (NOED + Bloodwarden).
If all survivors are downed, the survivor still have a chance to win the match (4% kobe, DS, unbreakebill, etc....).
Bleedout is 4 minutes.
-
The devs try to find ways to discourage camping and encourage leaving the hook but they're never going to outright ban it or make it harshly punished. You'll need to accept that.

insta heals nerf is a joke they are still very strong. pallet vacums didnt need nerf because directly was stupid and needed to be fixed, brand new part was the first few things the listened and that really was stupid as ######### that actually needed a nerf but they should have realized by themselves no one have to say anything like pallet vacum. but most of what you sayed didnt need a nerf it just was stupid than even if no one complained they should have realized it was a huge problem, so everything they fixed till now was actually bvecause was completely biased.
the second thing was mom, but how many stuff 2 or 3? how many times have listened survivor nerfing to the ground killers, addons, aspect from the killers? did they ever touched god loops¡? jungle gyms spowning next to killer shack? did they ever touch totem spowns? because i still see them spowning 2 mts away from gens. they never listed to killers except when the problem is just way to big that they need to do something. but every time a survivor cry they listen.
Lol they have literally worked on everything you asked about but OK bro.

Lol as someone who's used it a lot..nothing in this game is more handed to you...I lost all my fear of the killer because they would just open the door and I'd get away with no chance for the killer to beat me..its straight up god mode..as for rewarding killers for not tunneling they should be..because that means they actually played the game properly and without being scummy..so the fact ds says lul sorry but now you cant win at all..is frankly poorly thought out
God mode. Lol ok.

I'm just going to say learn to camp. It works wonders on SWF, because someone will always save, even if you're there. Just saying.
The amount of times I 4k'd a SWF squad because they absolutely refused to let one of their buddies die is ridiculous lol. Just get out of there!
Very rarely will they actually succeed and all escape after like a dozen hookswaps and I'll admit that can be embarrassing and frustrating, but you can't dwell on it.
-
@SadLegion said:
People just use their DS to do some annoying stuff. Like if you hooking too fast then they use DS to unhook in front of your face and you cant go for both of them since both has DS :). I dont mind it that much its just annoying. Usually the first guy who utilize his DS like that will have a big target on his back saying "easy for tunnel".
I havent encountered yet survivors who annoy me with Head On. I think 2-3 stuns with it was a maximum i get in one match. Overall the stun duration feels much less crippling than DS stun. I can catch up much faster with head on players. And to make a good use of it they need to setup it meaning what at least 2 players wont be doing gens, ill gladly accept it.
Yes, using perks to your advantage is super annoying.
Just down the unhooker and leave him slugged. Now you've a survivor on a hook and on the ground right next to each other. If they get the unhook then slug one and go for the other. Not sure what the problem is.
-
@immortalls96 said:
Likely because if how annoying it is not to be able to punish any bad play made by the ds user for 60 seconds..and during the egc..its almost always a free escape..a rather poor reward for not tunneling all game
Why should a killer be rewarded for not tunneling? Huh?
Also for it to be a "free" escape the gate needs to be open, nearby enough and they need to have not used their DS the rest of the game. That's not free.

@Dozekis said:
No it isnt that i don't understand aspects of gameplay for survivor, i just have an issue with being forced to adjust how i play to suit a sect of people who like myself choose to only use one end of he spectrum. I mean i never see anybody even talk about gen rushing anymore like is just a thing we accept.
In terms of sportsmanship we can't have a culture that's wholey against "tunneling" and then say its ok to loop around a pallet, the thing designed to keep the killer at bay. That's not evading the killer a as the game intended. We asked have to deal with the weird hit boxes and jerky frame rate for killers on console.
No, it IS that you don't understand 50% of the game. You are biased by default.
You are not "forced" to do anything. Some survivors trash talking you is not forcing you. Close the chat if you can't handle it without feeling forced.
Genrush is talked about CONSTANTLY, ad nauseam. If you don't see that then either you're not here or on reddit enough or you are wearing some serious blinders.
The "culture" is not "wholly" against tunneling. Certain people are. Ignore them and play however you want, within the dev's limited rules. They have repeatedly said camping and tunneling are not punishable.
Neither is looping. It doesn't matter how the game was originally "intended" to be played, games change. Looping is an adaptation.
-
As long as they increase sensitivity of controls and improve frame rate then I have no problem.

That is understandable, but imagine this: You are a killer, and find 2 survivors, 1 healthy and 1 injured. It is at a point in the match that you really need to start sacrificing survivors. You go after the injured survivor for, say 30 seconds. You both are at a loop, and you are almost right behind the survivor. You wait a tiny bit for dead hard, but instead, the survivor completes healing by tapping the button, you hit the survivor, and is basically given a sprint burst, and if you decide to continue the chase, the survivors may waste a lot of time.
I'm not sure what that has to do with the Styptic Agent. And a survivor 99%ing to bait you into chasing them instead is a perfectly legitimate strategy. Though I've got to say I have no recollection of this ever happening to me as killer.
-
There was also an "Other" option for a reason.

I chose "fan" rather than "love" simply because I only love slasher horror movies. Paranormal ######### doesn't interest me and the other kinds of horror out there can get kinda wacky. Alien and the Xenomorph is a pretty cool and scary concept though
But I don't like the "I wouldn't call myself a buff" part of this option, it feels a tad bit insulting.
You can choose to feel offended if you want but no insult was intended and I'm honestly surprised somebody could even interpret it that way.
"a person who is enthusiastically interested in and very knowledgeable about a particular subject."
Call yourself a slasher buff if you want, but if you only love slashers then you're not a horror buff in general. In what way that could be seen as an insult is beyond me.

It is literally very small. But, if you REALLY need something for compensation, then all healing actions could be reduced by 1-2 seconds,
No. It's not necessary. Learn to adapt. That's literally what survivors are doing to a big nerf. You just don't want to do you want a further nerf.
-
You should be able to concede and leave a husk behind. Maybe both killer and remaining survivor should be notified, too.
-
@Revansith said:
Why wouldnt your team mates come to your downed body and heal you?
How is that relevant? And there are many obvious answers as to why they wouldn't.
-
No thanks. It was literally just nerfed I'm not sure why you think it deserves to be nerfed even further. If you see someone pop their medkit you can simply wait 8 seconds to hit them. If they do it right before you see them then they took a gamble and it paid off.

The thing you are missing is that I did (and would be wrong if I did) extrapolate to making a statement about DS in general. Since intent based actions like Tunneling are obscenely difficult to quantify and we can only at best approximate. (Other intent based actions are things like sandbagging or BMing, where it's not the literal series of events that make it what it is)
Just that finding the unhooked Survivor and downing them is not just the result of tunneling, and thus you can't conclude from just "I went back to the hook and downed the unhooked" that it was tunneling.
If you also knew that the Unhooker was in his LoS as well THEN you could conclude tunneling.
But tunneling is chosing a specific target repeatedly over other targets.
If I don't know where you are then you can't be a target. So if I only know where the unhooked Survivor is then they are my only potential target. There is no other target I could go after instead because I don't have enough information to go after them, so doing so is not tunneling.
I understand your point of view but disagree.
I guess I would make a distinction between hard tunneling VS a softer tunneling, kind of like hard camping and soft camping or proximity camping. IMO it's all just different ways to tunnel and camp at varying degrees with different intentions. None of them inherently bad or good. Often they are necessary or the best strategic play. But just because you make the best choice at the time doesn't mean you should be immune to DS. DS is a flat 60 second unhook insurance perk.
Also I know you haven't said that about DS, I'm more bringing it back to the topic at hand.

This is a forum. It's here for people to share their opinions that you call whining.
If you don't like it noone is forcing you to be here.
That's a huge difference between sharing an opinion and going on a crusade against the game, calling it trash, the devs clueless, half the playerbase toxic, saying you now hate the game and don't play it because of some change and yet still come here everyday to repeat the same complaints over and over, saying playing one role or the other is a miserable experience and yet still playing it every single day as evidenced by your post history.
A lot of the people who were banned weren't just critical of the game, they were downright nasty about it and to other posters. Pretty sure that's the kind of behavior OP is talking about.

If someone is unhooked there is by definition at least 2 Survivors there. That makes somewhere that a Survivor was just unhooked at by far the best place to look for a Survivor.
And once I'm there it's not my fault if it's the unhooked Survivor that sucks at hiding while the unhooker vanishes without a trace
So you think because you hadn't "intended" to tunnel because you were hoping for the unhooker, that means you shouldn't be hit or affected by DS? Or am I missing something?
You have a set of choices there and you took the two choices that add up to tunneling.
Choice 1: A survivor was unhooked, do I go back?
If yes you are not yet tunneling, but headed in that direction.
Choice 2: The first survivor I saw upon returning to the hook area was the unhooked survivor. Do I go after him?
If yes, you are now tunneling. No matter your original intent in choice 1. You made that choice fully aware you could and often do find the unhooked survivor first and you have no problem chasing and downing him. That's tunneling.
I'm not say don't tunnel but if you're going to make decisions that are the definition of tunneling then don't cry when you have now downed a survivor who could potentially hit you with DS.
-
"I wasn't tunneling, but when I got the notification that somebody was unhooked I immediately ran back to that hook and downed the unhooked survivor."
Translation: "I wasn't tunneling, I was tunneling."

Nah, Lery's is a fantastic map. The Game is awful.
-
If a Myers gets to infinite EW3 before most or all gens are done it's because the survivors were playing poorly or one survivor in particular basically allowed Myers to completely stalk him early in the match by never breaking LoS.
Besides, you can react to EW3. Large terror radius and he can still be looped or juked.

To be fair, with pop the killer is basically bringing in an extra 2-3 generators if they are getting downs.
That's not the same thing. The killer has to get hooks for that and then get to the right gen and kick it before it's completed, not just bring a perk and let it happen with zero counter play.
It's also spread out over the course of the game and plenty of times as killer I'll get 2 or 3 hooks before I use my Pop just because I'm not gonna break a chase to kick a gen at 25% complete when I'm already doing well. It's not just POOF the last 80-120+ seconds of your game was a complete lie, sorry.

Because they work differently than Hag's. You can't crouch over a bear trap either. When you're asleep Freddy has the advantage. It would be lame to let survivors crouch over them.

You do realize that the Styptic doesn't heal at all? You guys nerfed that.
Tried healing someone with it and left him since I thought he was going to get healed after 8 seconds. He didn't. He probably cursed me for a fool.
I'm a little concerned that a dev doesn't know how the game works.
Did you read the add on description? The purple one does not heal.
Devs make mistakes. It's a new change. No need to be rude.
