GOTTA GO FASTER, FASTER, FASTERFASTERFASTRER!!!!!!
FAST!!!
Maybe I should try that. I suck as survivor so maybe I just need to mix it up with some whacky builds :D
I love for wacky builds. See you in the fog, Sonic!

Dance with me, Lithe, Quick n Quiet, (Iron Will or Fixated).
This works well if you have trouble losing the Killer.
Quick vault with no notification, leave no scratch marks, and get a speed boost.
With Iron Will if you took a hit you won't make noises, with Fixated if you haven't taken a hit you can walk away after speed boost.
That's a really fun build. It confuses killers so much. I'm pretty sure survivors have used it against me because they almost literally vanish into thin air lol

@TWiXT said:
UE and Fixated are kinda already on my build because it gives you a crazy advantage against the killer when playing stealthy. Adrenaline is a nice addition, but I'm not digging Tenacity because you can't Recover while moving with it. Hope would also be a fun pairing with Adrenaline, and I have used it before, but it relies too much on the idea that your team is competent enough to finish all of the gens, and that the killer doesn't have NOED. It's a Risky Build, and I like that... So I'll test it and give you my feedback after about 20 matches! 😁
What do you mean? You can recover while crawling with Tenacity.
And let me know how the experiment goes lol

Okay?
Kind of important information whether or not the killer can see your aura as you're entering a locker, don't you think? 🤔
@AhoyWolf said:
I thought that this was always the case, that you need to be in a locker to hide your aura.
I don't have a problem if it hides your aura while entering or being fully inside the locker tbh.
No, like I said, it keeps being changed for some reason. Over the past several months to a year or so it's gone back and forth between the two. Perks like Inner Strength and Head On also don't start taking effect until you are fully in the locker, whereas before they would start counting as soon as you pressed the button to enter.
@Science_Guy said:
This is actual useful info. Thanks OP. Weird that this keeps changing without any notice.
You're welcome! I'm not sure if these are balance changes or unintended side effects of changing other things.
-
Yes, that would be in bad taste.
Also I just realized that Plague's breath must be awful. Somebody get her a breath mint.
-
Hell yes. Ranch, blue cheese, hot sauce. I love condiments
-
@Peanits Is this really intended design or just an oversight?
-
Agreed. Either fix protective hits or stop basing challenges and perks on getting them.
-
Open Handed could use a buff but double is too strong I think. Maybe 8/10/12m instead of 4/6/8. Could even cap how it assists other survivors at 8m or so if people think that's a problem.
If not just a numbers increase maybe it could affect Spine Chill and Premonition as well.
-
Iridescent head should be changed to make it so fully charged hatchet hits do not give survivors a burst of speed. And maybe deep wound when healthy.
-
No thanks. If a killer wants to use up add ons and perk slots to be stealthier that's fine. There's absolutely no reason Deathslinger should just get all that for free so then he can use stronger perks and add ons on top of that. Your logic makes absolutely no sense.
-
Because Peanits hates when survivors sabo hooks 😤😤😤

The psychological effect of these survivor bully psychopaths
Dude, are you okay? You definetely need a break from this game if you are reacting like this to your gameplay experience.
The whole post is depressing. If a video game has that much an effect on you then you should probably talk to somebody.
It's easier to blame everything on a video game, though.
-
I did it on my first try. Bring Borrowed Time and Empathy. Easy.
-
@Dolls said:
Dont remove the struggle. Just keep all players in the game until it ends. Even if you die you shouldn't be able to connect to a new game until your current game has ended.
Die on the hook if you want. But you still should have to stay in the game.
No.
-
No. That will be abused to troll or to save unhooks for your friend. You got hooked, you're vulnerable now. Sometimes a teammate will ######### you over but that's part of playing a semi cooperative game with anonymous strangers
-
I don't understand the need for validation in so many people's choices in this game. I have my opinions on NOED, but play how you want. At the same time I think some trash talk about needing NOED to get kills is acceptable, as long as it doesn't go too far. It's like using the M4 in Modern Warfare. Or, in DBD, only escaping at the end because you hit your DS. It requires significantly less skill to escape in that situation if you have DS, just like it requires significantly less skill to secure kills with an active NOED in the end game. Doesn't mean you're necessarily bad at the game, but you are using strong perks that allow you to overcompensate for mistakes you make.
-
I don't think you even get bloodpoints for using it. Makes no sense
-
Lol
-
I love him. He could use some buffs but I don't think he is as weak as many make him out to be. He's got some really fun add ons. I will say he is more add on reliant than many killers
-
Yes, their point is to speed up gen repairs or sabo. Save them for when you have 1/5 to 1/3 of a gen left or so and you need to finish quickly. Whether that's because the killer is headed your way or you need to save someone from the hook or something.
-
You might want to play a different game if you're that bad and you refuse to try to get better
-
I love him personally. I'm reserving full judgment for now with respect to how strong he is but he's a blast to play as and against IMO. I don't think he's either OP or "unviable," though.

If only the ISP's actually improved infrastructure for the last 15 years instead of pocketing the money and providing sub-par service for exorbitant prices, we wouldn't be in this mess.
Darn it.
No arguments here lol. Something's going to have to change. Will it? Idk..

You can, but now you can't destroy the Key. Or any other item.
But you can't use a depleted key to open the hatch I'm assuming? If you can that's ridiculous

They're not shut down, they're working remotely. Also I'm sure if they are going to entirely replace the matchmaking system they want to take the time to get it right.

I noticed that too honestly. Took a hit while running right behind an injured survivor and didn't get the Protection hit for some reason. I hate that challenge anways, because it pretty much forces me to throw the game if I don't want to do this challenge over 50+ games.
Exactly. It's frustrating. I just don't understand why this has been a constant issue for them to get working. Maybe the whole concept needs to be changed. Why base perks and challenges around a mechanic that breaks constantly?

I mean, technically Ash is, and he can have a skin where his right hand is useless (literally made of wood or a literal puppet), but he still uses his right hand due to the limitations of Survivor models.
Lefties are 10% of the population and there are 21 survivors so that means we need one more!
-
I just say back "lol." It's very dismissive and doesn't give them what they want, which is to upset you or make you defend yourself
-
Yes, Ghostface is a blast. Glad you're having fun with him. His upcoming outfit looks badass and I bet we'll see an increase in people playing him
-
@Peanits said:
That's not the case at all. There's 195 countries in the world, and only 21 survivors - there's just no conceivable way to represent every single country with only 21 survivors. It's always possible that survivors of different nationalities could be added down the line, the existing cast is fairly diverse already.
Ok that's cool and all but are any of the survivors left handed??!
-
@FogLurker said:
I would rather the grind be made simpler if you didn't need to unlock multiple ranks of the same perk. Just find it once on the bloodweb and it's already rank 3. There's no point to perk ranks apart from slowing you down and making you take longer to reach the same end result which you already achieved on other characters.
You should at least have the option to buy an upgrade to any perk you own. OR maybe only tier 1 of the perks appear in the bloodweb and once you buy it you own it, then you can select it in your perk inventory and upgrade to tier 2 or 3 for like 4-10k BP.

Lol, 3, 1k hour survivors and one 150 solo. I would dominate that team too. When I open the profile and see nothing but 2.5k-5k hours, that's when I know it's not going to be a fun game.
You realize there's a skill ceiling, right? And also somebody could play this game for 10k hours and still be #########
-
People seem to be missing the point that when Yui was released I saw a ton of her and still do. When Nancy and Steve were released I saw a ton of them and they're still fairly common. Every new survivor has had a big burst of use upon release. So survivors being skins is not really relevant to what I'm talking about. Zarina seems like the least played new survivor as far back as I can remember
-
This isn't strictly a dead by daylight thing. Call of duty takes forever to update too. It's the "copying" portion that is the problem. Seems like it's redownloading the whole game

I could pitch the idea their way, but I can't make any promises.
I believe in you.
-
I love how when people share these videos it's always of killers getting 4ks. They also only ended up finishing 2 gens LOL
-
I also generally see a ton of the new survivors the weeks following a release. Not this time though.. which is why i made the topic
-
I play all sorts of survivors. I have like 3-4 go to's with all or most perks unlocked but it's fun playing all different survivors. Like you said, all survivors are the same so you'd be less likely to main them than killers.

If you already lost, then just die. The entire hatch mechanic was implemented because survivors were taking the game hostage when they lost.
If you lost, you lost. If you failed your goal to keep others alive so that you could achieve your goal to complete all the gens to escape. You. Lost.
You are not entitled to a hatch, and you are certainly not entitled to a gate.
I don't even care about end game perks like NOED, Blood Warden, or Remember Me. They suck against good survivors. Not even a problem for good survivors. I'm just calling you out on the obvious entitlement your writing, and if your ignorant to your own entitlement - then you need to work on that.
You don't understand what the word entitlement means. I think that's pretty clear.
My original comment was an attempt to explain what I thought was Bhvr's reasoning for nerfing Remember Me. If you had actually read my comment, you would understand that. Nowhere in my comment did I gave my personal opinion on the nerf. Unfortunately, you saw something that you considered a survivor sided opinion and that triggered you so you went on an irrelevant rant about entitlement.
Stop and take a breath.

Just because you are the last survivor in the game does not mean you are entitled to escaping. There is no reason why the last of the gens should be automatically completed for you, nor does it mean you should be granted not one but 3 optional escape routes in which 2 you have to simply just wait furthest from the free win mechanic to also get to exploit for free.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1149361#Comment_1149361
You still failed to keep the other alive, the same ones you NEEDED to survivor yourself, and failed to complete your objective. You are not entitled to a free win mechanic when you failed at all of your objectives.
Please quote and highlight for me where I said anyone was entitled to anything.
You made quite a leap from "impossible to escape" to "entitled to escape."
But that's to be expected at this point

And human beings as animals have adapted defenses to deter predators, like peripheral vision. It will alert you by percieving environmental changes and direct your attention towards it allowing you to react to external stimuli.
Unless they affixed skillchecks to the generator itself, you have zero reason not to occasionally look around.
Also Myers has been in the game for a few years, so there's no excuse at this point.
Yeah Myers can't hit you from 18 meters away and reel you in, btw

She wasn't going to be free. The devs issueed a challenge before her release. It was like break a million pallets or something within a week. We did that. Hence why she was free. Otherwise they would have charged us for her.
I mean if the devs set up a challenge like that then they fully intended for her to be free. They weren't like "There's no way those pesky players will be able to beat this!.... Oh darn, it looks like we'll have up give her away for free now.. :("

What's the nerf? I'm at work rn

I believe it was because with the last survivor, if the killer closed the hatch, it made opening an exit gate impossible, basically. Not 100% sure tho
