The mobile game is being made by a separate team. So it really has little effect on the console/PC versions.

Not sure. Its the craziest community ive ever seen. Maybe they hate themselves and project that out, maybe the game brings the worst out in people. Not sure.
Survivors have the easy role but have the audacity to cry about trivial bs like HOW the Killer Killed them. Survivors have the tiniest egos I've seen in my whole life, they can not except loss or defeat in any form and usually , almost 99% of the time lash out on the killer.
And inb4 someone says the stupid, and very generic "dur there are toxic killers 2" . Yes you may meet a toxic killer, but you'll meet 100x more toxic survivors then killers. Killers are generally more humble and respectful. Ive got hundreds of after game ps4 messages from salty players , and i can confidently say out of the hundreds, maybe ten at most are from a toxic killer, the rest being survivors.
The sad thing is like I said, thats just how survivors are. But if you think you like this game enough. Just try to ignore them. Turn chat off, if youre on ps4 turn random messaging off and just have fun.
Toxic survivors behavior, constant harassment, incessant whining and nonstop craptalk have ruined the game for a lot of killers like myself and a few others ive seen here talk about it. Dont let it get to you like that. Good luck
It's fragile ego, not tiny ego. Tiny ego would almost be a compliment.

I don't think it does. I started using Spine Chill in all my Survivor games an month or so ago and have never noticed a difference.
You're not going to realistically be able to notice a 6% increase in something that takes a second.

You shouldn't dodge my team of 3 toolboxes and a key, but f you and your omega blink/prayer bead/iridescent hatches/iridescent king/instant saw/tombstones and bring a Mori, I'm gonna DC the moment I know you use the red add-on.
You dodge lobby because you are weak and don't welcome challenge , but I DC because you use OP add-on and it is not fair. I DC to send out a message and teach you a lesson about using strong add-on, but you definitely a wimp for dodging my lobby.
Is there any evidence that these are the same people? Or are you overgeneralizing a large, unique group of people into a stereotype?
-
@MegaWaffle said:
I've had far more survivors leave a lobby than killers and yet everyone cries bloody murder when dodged in a lobby. Sure it can suck because the wait times are sometimes horrible but I'm not playing a match that won't be fun (ping/4 man toolbox). As a survivor I'm also not staying in a lobby if I get a message to join another game, get a survivor I know did nothing last match or decide I can't actually hold my pee like I thought.
I would rather someone leaves during the lobby instead of screwing an entire match by DCing.
Who cries bloody murder? All I've seen expressed is frustration of being dodged when it can sometimes take 10 minutes to find a lobby. Pretty reasonable, I'd say.

Please reread the original comments, and read carefully this time.
The tables have, in fact, been turned.
Nah. You're reading what you want to.

They're saying that when killers with big egod use very strong add ons or offerings and do well with them, they act as if they are good at the game. They are not saying simply using those things = big ego.
So no, the tables haven't turned.

Try playing survivor for a while. Plenty of toxic killers to go around.

That actually would make more sense, as the benefit to being healed activates the perk. Perhaps they're focusing on people relying on healing builds with said perk?
That's kind of an oddly specific... thing though...
Yeah but it is kind of Bhvr's MO at this point. Create a perk to try to help alleviate a problem.

@FireHazard said:

That isn't my logic, its the logic i'm trying to figure out to why it was made this way, please don't insinuate things...
My point is, if they made it this way it must be because of the blood trails yes? It kind of makes sense I guess because you'll leave trails of blood across a long stretch of path you walked I guess???
If this was the case, Urban evasion works while in both states, so I also don't really follow the concept either. I'm just trying to piece together why it was thought about in the first place I suppose.
Your premise that it "must" be because of blood trails is false. The idea that it's because they want to encourage healing makes much more sense.
-
@FireHazard said:

Everything is about sneaking and getting away from the Killer, that's kinda a GOOD IDEA to do against a Killer.
Regardless, leaving blood trails that can be seen fairly well in the open kinda makes Fixated pointless if you're leaving a long trail to the Player... Plus you make noise, which makes it worse. Tbh, if they changed it, it wouldn't really matter anyways.
So change it or don't, not like it matters tbh... I'm just giving my reason to why they made it that way.
There's no reason why moving faster while injured would not be more beneficial.
Which is better?
- Blood trails
- Groans of pain
- Walking normal speed
Or
- Blood trails
- Groans of pain
- Walking 20% faster
Not to mention that Iron Will exists. And blood trails disappear. And tall grass is a thing.
Your logic just doesn't make sense. Just because walking faster while not injured is better doesn't mean walking faster while injured is pointless.
-
@FireHazard said:
The perk says it won't work unless you're not injured. I'm guessing this is the case because walking faster while you're leaving trails of blood doesn't really help in anyway...
If the goal is to get across the map faster without leaving marks that can be spotted a mile away then it clearly helps. Not everything is about escaping the killer in a chase.
-
Yes and it'll likely remain that way until dedicated servers arrive
-
Haha ok lol
-
If it's an exploit then it's one that the devs don't care about since it's been in the game since Ruin's release and they haven't fixed it or made it punishable.
Gen tapping takes longer. It would be faster to power through the skill checks or just find Ruin.

Small game is a training wheels perk.
I've always been a totem hunter, long before Inner Strength. I know all the spawns on all the maps. I don't need Small Game to find totems, and on some maps its even counterproductive (like in The Game).
Let's not pretend small game is a good perk. Its not. Its best use frankly is to warn you of devious Trappers that are creative in their trap placements. Anyone can learn totem spawns if they put the time into it.
Use small game as your training wheels, but you should graduate from it as soon as possible. There are better perks to take up the slot.
Nah, I'll continue using a perk I find a lot of benefit out of. Even if you know totem spawns you still have to take the time to go around trees or corners or bushes to check if they are there. Small Game eliminates most of them and that means you have more time to focus on more important things.

Buggy, annoying for solo players and most SWF are toxic and don't actually like one another. Now they are forced into lobbies together making them feel the toxicity around them and forcing them to face the fact that THEY are the real monsters....all this physiological trauma causes them intense mental agony as they curl up in the corner of their rooms, huddled under a blanket crying endlessly for someone to save them from the torment they feel inside...
Oh did I say its buggy yet?
🤔 ... 🤔 ... 🤔
I got nothing. 😅

I think a 2 kill average just means that there are enough 0-1k games to balance the 3-4k games, giving an overall average of 2 kills. Not necessarily that they want games with exactly 2 kills to be the most common. I've never been good with statistics, though lol.

@Dr_Loomis said:
Small Game certainly got a buff. Now survivors with Inner Strength equip Small Game in order to find them precious totems. People are fighting over those totes!
On the flip-side, it could be said NOED got a nerf: this week, very rarely have I not seen all the totems cleansed at the end of the game. Just today I was playing killer, thought "Here I go, time to NOED some toxic swines"...but all my totems were nice and clean. No NOED for me.
No offense intended but possibly the most satisfying feeling as a survivor is going out of your way to cleanse 3, 4, or hell all 5 totems and on the results screen seeing the killer had NOED equipped. I'm not sure anything can top that moment of pure bliss.
It's payback for all the times I ran the killer around all match only to get downed with NOED at end game and then camped.
-
@FireHazard said:
The perk is niche, so any buff just makes it more worth it to use finally...
Exactly. I like to avoid the meta and try fun builds that synergize well. 8 second locker heals + eradicating perks like Ruin, NOED and Devour Hope = my dream come true.

If you have me on your team then I’d likely already cleansed them so Detectives Hunch won’t work well.
True 😉
-
@Carpemortum said:
Detectives hunch would be better. It shows you the aura of where they are, not just a chime for multiple potential objects.
Plus it gets you to do gen work.
I think DH has a neat premise but it is too situational as is. You must complete a gen and you only have 5 seconds of aura reading. In my experience that's enough time to remember one or maybe two things. But even then, by the time I get over to the first totem I usually forget where the second one was. And I still need to look in every corner for it if I get the general area right. Small Game usually eliminates 90% of searching and its only condition is that you need to walk around the map and spin your camera around, which you already need to do to have good situational awareness.
If DH was buffed to trigger on every gen completion, plus had a time increase to 7-10 seconds (and maybe a range reduction to make it fairer) then I'd probably carry it over SG.

@Elk said:
I personally get all perks anyway so in the future, by the off chance i do want to use it. I don't have to get it later.
Same. Plus when they eventually get buffed I can try them out!

@Frosty said:
I some what agree, but it's hard to give any praise with such a broken match making system that overshadows all the other aspects of this game.
If at work I weld out a beautiful joint, but the equipment I've prepared it for is garbage, saying "at least the weld is nice" is just a statement, and doesn't mean the vessel becomes acceptable or praise worthy.
But the matchmaking has nothing to do with the chapter. You can say what you like about the chapter and criticize matchmaking. It's not one or the other.
-
This type of DC is treated the way every type is. Do it enough and you'll be suspended or banned.
Once dedicated servers are out they'll be able to make use of more ways to make DCs a bad choice for anyone. Like maybe increasing cooldown from searching for lobbies.
-
No, they only need to fix overly strong loops. They buffed BL to where it's at now. It wasn't worth carrying before.

It's something 99% of multiplayer games have day one.
It's awesome the devs could finally add it but its not anything super crazy.
Lots of the best changes aren't super crazy, IMO. The more QoL improvements the better.
-
I've been in situations where if you move you get seen no matter what, so I agree. It really should only trigger if someone if seriously AFK. They could make it shorter for the last survivor but even then with the EGC it's not really all that necessary.

I think it could be an underrated perk like Poised (fight me, people who think it sucks) but the requirement where you personally must finish a generator is very limiting for a number of circumstances.
I like Poised generally. It's not a great perk but it can definitely be very useful when it triggers at the right time. Plus after every gen is done you get 10 seconds to get where you need to go fast and stealthily.
-
Yeah it's a very underwhelming perk that people never talk about.
-
OP calling people idiots or their opinions dumb is a quick way to get yourself banned.
-
I mean, you know how to get it. You just have to keep trying. It's not like you can prevent DCs. And if a survivor starts to jump into a hatch you can close it on them if you're close enough.
I got it on my second attempt. Guess I lucked out.

I think one sort of issue is that all of the rooms have similar entrances and exits. There are times where I will be in a chase trying to find a specific room, and I go through like 20 rooms trying to find that one because everything looks the same.
Yeah I do that too. The Game and Lery's used to be confusing to me so maybe I'll learn Hawkins as well.
Though they improved navigation in The Game a lot since release. Maybe Lery's too?

I got my first down from a gen that 2 people were working on, so I pushed 1 away and got the other. But it still wasn't enough. Every time I took a MF-ing breath, discordance popped. 80% of the game there were 2 survivors on a gen. There was also 1 toolbox and 1 styptic agent.
So you have multiple survivors working on gens together as opposed to alone and every time you put a portal down they cleanse it? They aren't playing optimally at all so it sounds like you just had a bad game.
-
I also gotta learn hatch spawns!
-
@GrootDude said:
As someone who uses small game a lot, detecting totems on different levels of a map is actually a good thing.
I waste time trying to check every nook and cranny on one floor only to find out it's on another. It's really only a problem on like 2 maps, though.
-
@oxygen said:
I feel it's more about getting used to the map than the totems themselves being hidden super well. I've seen some pretty nice spots, but others are just ... there in a particular room.
Run a map capable of tracking totems and go totem hunting if you want to learn the spots quicker. Pretty good BP gains as well. If you're willing to spend them Rainbow Maps with double stamps (range) addons will make it super easy to scout the whole map, you even scout upstairs from the main floor.
True. Good idea. I'm taking Detective's Hunch, a map and Small Game just to learn them all 😅
Jk but that would be fun

How could another killer ever be better when pallets and windows are meaningless to Nurse?
