A lot of survivors complain, currently, about killers only running 1 of about 6-7 different perks.
While I don't agree with Otz on everything (only basically everything killer relate ^_^ ), he is one of the best killers out there, and he plays basically every killer and tries basically every perk combination.
The vast, vast majority of killer perks are either 'mediocre' or 'terrible'. This is usually either a result of them being so niche you may never see them actually activate, or so weak that the survivors might not even realize that it did.
There are 10 or so others that are decent, but situational/have a huge trade-off/have a massively long cooldown, and perhaps 6 that are 'good' or 'excellent' for the majority of killers and games.
Could it be that maybe the problem isn't a handful of perks being too strong - but the vast majority simply not being good enough?
I think for a perk to be usable by the killer they need to enter one of 2 categorie.
The first one can this perk slowdown the gen if yes can i replace it with one of the slowdown i already use most of the time its no.
2 can i track survivor with this perk and can that perk replace my tracking perk most of the time its a no but at least this perk have more chance to see play it only depend on the drawback the perk will have.
All the other perk they make most of the time get try but they are rapidly going in the categorie if i want to meme i will use those perk

There is a lot of power creep happening on the killer side, they shouldn't be any shame in making new strong perks for survivors too. You can't possibly nerf survivor meta because they are so situational and already weak, especially compared to killer meta that is so oppressive.
Killer happen to find new perk because their meta is only about gen slowdown and their meta is weak compare to the survivor.
You may think survivor meta are situational but their perk are more consistent in what they do because you have no risk running them compare to killer.
You can believe whatever you want i know you have kind off a reputation to be a troll on the forum it was my bad to comment

@Sluzzy said:
There was nothing OP about these perks at all. So now their usefulness was heavily reduced to a tiny radius so the killer can easily hear it and instantly remove it. Wow.
So now survivor has to spend a lot of precious time and spend even more time blessing it before it activates when you can practically work on a gen instead. These perks were already a buff to killer because survivor did a secondary objective to get any benefit from the perk. 24 seconds to bless a perk and killer can easily turn it off in 1 sec. What happens if killer uses new buffed killer perk that causes the totem blessing to take twice as long? I’m sure this didn’t get nerfed did it? Why is it fair he can still remove it in only 1 sec? Just bring self-care instead of this if you want to heal.
Survivor meta remains unchanged.
Boon were op on the ptb that why they got nerf. The 24 second blessing time is only on a hex perk its still going to be the regular time on a dull totem.
If you cant see how good boon are i think its because you are so hung up on your 6 survivor meta perk that you cant see how strong they are.
Ofc survivor meta will not change for that to change they will need to do a perk that can beat the survivor meta and that really hard to do because they are op. So the only other option is to nerf them to the level of the other strong perk for more variation.

You can watch the VOD on their Twitch I believe
Overall it wasn't terrible, but the lack of response about cheaters + Patrick's explanation of the MMR system overshadows everything else. It's incredibly disheartening.
Boons were nerfed, if you were curious.
Ty i will check the Q&A during my break. Im curious about the boon change too.

I did not know they did the Q&A. I check on youtube and i vould not find it does anyone know where i can find it im curious about how much of a dissapointment the Q&A is

That's it. Why are you nerfing his basekit. Why can't you just nerf his addons that were problematic and not touch his basekit? Such ridiculous balancing.
Because survivor dictate who get nerf. Survivor hate wraith being a good option for killer that why they ask for the nerf.
Dont worry trapper and plague are next on their nerf list if their little upgrade upset the survivor

Even since the nerf? Literally count to 12 (assuming it’s tier 3). Lots of situations 12 seconds isn’t nearly enough to get somewhere safe. Yes it can still make or break it for some saves but I almost never use it after the change. Practically a waste of a perk slot.
BT did not get nerf the perk got a massive buff and the only trade off is 3 sec. Before you could bypass the perk with a stealth killer not anymore

You find the survivors spawn most certainly there’s at least two. You hit the on with your tentacle then find the other infect them and no need for Marvin’s Blood. For some killers like Hag, Oni, and Nemesis a weak early game is part of the kit but you’re able to make it up not every killer will perform the same at every stage of the game. And if you can’t find the spawns then run Lethal or Discordance. Nemesis’s tentacle having a quick pull up will ensure a first hit.
You still dont answer the problem if the survivor see nemesis and immediatly start running in the oposite direction you wont be in range for your power. A lot of survivor play like that because its the best strat against m1 killer with no mocement ability. So what are you doing against those type of survivor. I say that because im that type of survivor and i know if its not a nurse or blight im in the power role meaning i dictate the chase.

I have just realized I am missing several rare cosmetics, but I only remember a few of the names of them since I never really used them much so I can't even figure out if this issue has taken more of my rare cosmetics, like is there some way you can figure out what else you lost besides doing detective work?
Has anyone else lost special cosmetics for your characters, and what are the chances they will be able to figure out which other cosmetics I have lost. Like I have already logged a support ticket, I am just a bit worried that it's a lose or lose situation and it will be sad if I only bloodpoints because I kind of actually liked them a lot. :c
Your chance to get them back are really low a lot of player lost their legacy cosmetic and some of them never got them back

Nemesis completely eliminates one of the reasons hold w is effective pre dropping the pallet and Nemesis once you get to tier two will shred them. That’s why he is strong in the Mid-Game and naturally has a weak early game and why it’s better to get to tier two instead of normal hits.
You cant get into tier 2 if the survivor dont interact with you. Ofc you can still chase 6 zombie to get tier 2 but during that time survivor will slam those gen.
Unless you found a miracle way for the survivor to interect with you in that case plz say it to me so i can start playing killer again.
-
Freddy
Addon would be brown and take 2 slot
Name go have fun
Description: give you the ability to play as the pre rework freddy.
-
Im sorry but its better to injure or down the survivor over an infection. The pressure you apply is better this way. Anyway nemesis is kinda bad he cant do anything against the hold W survivor and if the loop is mid to high wall his power is less then ideal.
-
Depend the killer i play but most of the time i will go ruin/pop/corrupt/thrilling tremor only because you need something to slow the game and whitout any slowdown the game is over to fast unless you 1hook everyone in the first 2 minute of the match.
I would use bbq but i already have all the perk i want on my main killer and she dont have many good addon so i dont really care about them

Noed actually replace Boon totems in the PTB ! The description of the perk says that, but I didnt tried it.
Noed dont replace boon totem. If you had noed activate in the ptb its because survivor did not have every totem blessed.

Dont afk survivor will take more time to finish the game. Just let them win by playing badly like that they wont know what happen and be proud they loop you all game

Actually in my experience the amount of tunneling and camping increased by a large margin. Especially to try and get people out at 5 gens.
Nothing is wrong by getting people out at 5 gen.
Honestly i dont know why a killer would camp with ruin and undying up old and new because you lose value out of your perk. Those perk are good if you apply pressure no pressure just smash those gens.
-
He is garbage right now i think we should have old freddy back.
The reason i say that is because he is weak in loop and if the survivor hold the w key the killer lose 100%. He rely to much on the survivor being bad and that not great.
-
A t bagging survivor with a clicky clicky flashlight and a killer who hit you non stop on hook.
To be prescise its not the camping i find toxic but the action to hit a hook survivor non stop

So what should this game be balanced around?
Do you think the game should be balanced around 4 survivors escaping, or the killer getting 4 sacrifices each round?
He said it the game should be balence around 9hook or 3 kill. The reasonning is simple killer should be the power role not the other way around

Hopefully they go the Mettle of Man route and nerf it after they realize how broken it is.
We can only hope but i dont believe they are going to nerf it because of the range restriction on the totem. If they nerf it i expect them to remove 4 meter on the totem or something ######### like that

@Rey_512 said:
Remember the nerf to Hex Undying? This was the statement released by the developers:
”Transferring the same Hex multiple times can get out of hand: Hexes are meant to be strong perks that can be destroyed, and having to destroy the same Hex four times can be a bit much.”
In the September developer update, the devs describe Boon Totems as “much like Killers Hex Totems” in that they “are tied to Survivor Perks”. I know some people love to be technical and claim that by saying “much like” it shouldn’t be taken as a direct comparison. Well that’s wrong. Keep reading.
So obviously they are trying to create the survivor equivalent of Hex Perks here. We have a couple of perks to start, but more will come with the potential of game breaking effects (unlimited Unbreakable for the whole team within the aura?). However, we all know that even if a killer snuffs out a Boon Perk it can be relit indefinitely by the survivors. So where’s the consistency?
If you (BHVR) thought it was “a bit much” that FOUR survivors, who already have access to totem-finding perks and Maps, have to cleanse 4 totems then why is it not “a bit much” for ONE killer player to have to scour a map to snuff out a totem that can just be relit?
If BHVR wants to introduce new mechanics (Boon Totems) with strong effects that shake up the meta that’s great! But it would be nice if the survivor bias and hypocrisy wasn’t so apparent.
Its simple because they want player to buy the new survivor so her perk need to be strong

Because as for me, I think I will.
Not because he will be nerfed (aka weaker killer), but because he will be clunky and unfun to play as.
If they would give him back at least his quick-scope, then he could still be playable (aka less fun, but still not feel super clunky).
And you guys?
I will stop playing him because the only reason i pick him up over huntress is because of the quickscope with that away i should just learn huntress or shitster.

That's one scenario, yes.
You can tell me any scenario and i will tell you why its the survivor fault.
-
If someone get tunnel its because the unhooker did an unsafe unhook so that completly the fault of the other survivor and not the killer because he capitalise on your team mistake

What is more fair in you're guys eyes
Boon Totems or old Undying
I can't really say much cause I've not played the PTB but, I've seen the footage of the Boon Totems and I'm just curios on what the player base thinks is stronger?
With what i have seen undying is more fair true you can have good rng but most of the time everytime you do a totem it was a 50/50 so by average survivor needed to cleanse 3 hex.
Boon on the other hand are op you can use your boon 99 times if you want that really strong.
If i think boon will replace the survivor meta im not sure because their meta is too good for any other perk to shine but if they can get nerf boon totem will be played for sure

As in you have to bleed out in order to die. Bleeding out would have to be adjusted. Unbreakable would be run by everybody. ######### ton of perks would have to be changed. Killers wouldnt have to worry about hooking people. Flashlights would be more or less gutted.
But other than completely reworking the game would it be good change?
This happen when blight got release. Killer had a bug where they could not hook
-
@Jejune said:
Few months ago people were outraged/meme'd about how it worked like 1% of the time.
Now somehow its the most broken perk in the game without any changes to it.
Sprint burst is waaaaaaaaaaaay better, majority of the time.
That the thing dead hard is use for distance most of the time getting a window, a pallet or just when you got outplay by the killer just press e to reach one of your rescourse for an extended chase.
What make SB worst compare to that is the second you use SB the killer drop the chase. You talk about keeping SB 99 but if you do that you can never stop running because the second you stop running the next time you run SB will active so its kinda out of your control.
At the end its a matter of preference you like the chase take DH you prefer the killer to never chase you take SB

It's hard to find a title but what i mean is let's say the killer chases you for about 3 gens and body blocks you would you count that as a win because you made the killer that mad and what else counts as win without escaping as a survivor.
Its not because you get chase by the killer for 3 gen that he is mad. Some people specially when they see a survivor being good in chase the like to trow the game so they can get better.

It doesn't have many upvotes, which is probably why you had trouble finding it. I just went into your post history and got it that way.
Sad i find that to be a good question and a nice quality of life for killer. Instead we have a bunch of question about the grind and camping and they always say the same answer
-
I know i think the Q&A is kinda shite. I believe i ask a good question but i could not evem find it and the only thing i wanted was to know if they have some plan to give killer multiple loadout instand of having to swich all your perk every time

Old window was already good the new one is just an amazing perk.
Imagine having the ability to know which survivor is getting chase whit or just knowing wich loop are available for you to loop

@EntitySpawn said:
My hex has spawned right next to a gen, easily visible. Sometimes they're even spawned on.
This should not ever be a thing, no totem should be spawned on, or next to a main objective especially in sight from the gen.
No point having hex perks in the game if such things happen, especially on such a regular basis.
Thats the goal of hex. You equip it and 15 sec later the totem is gone. Dont worry survivor can relight their totem. Maybe killer will be able to hex again. Anyway its not like having your totem relight many time in the trial is op.
-
Its mostly because the best offering are for the survivor. What i mean by that are the map offering because a huge majority of the mao are survivor side killer dont use them very much unless its a myers.
After that the offering that can help you the most are the one that reduce the number of hook for survivor and the one that reduce the distance between each hook for killer.
Then we have the offering that are not on the good side the one that play with spawn at the same time i am happy those are not on the same side because i would hate to face 4 survivor on different gen every match

Killer main here. Most of the matches I've had recently I've had survivors run nothing but Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, and Iron Will. Honestly it gets boring because I'm always expecting those perks and just work my playstyle around them.
Its simple its because those perk are op. True survivor got a lot of good perk but those perk outclasse all of them by a miles.
If you want to face a better variable of perk on the survivor you need to trow a lot of match so your mmr drop

I'm sure I'm not the first to say and I won't be the last. Hooking someone and just standing there is just bad sportsmanship. You get points for making ppl bleed and chasing them. Why just stand there and barely get 10 to 20k points per match when you can get nearly 35k points per match even with one kill. That's my view on it.
If you say that you get camp and the killer got a 32k bp game im sorry to say this but the killer did not camp and your vision of camping is wrong

Why should i let the unhook survivor escape for free when the survivor did a horrible play. They need to get tunnel if not they will always think they can do whatever they want

Kinda easy i would make it so killer dont need to run 2 or 3 gen oriented perk. Just like that all hex are better

Especially when issues are not obnoxious or uncountable. There is a a reason spirit and deathslinger were changed: it's because they were overturned.
Deathsling is so overtuned that he get retk by the majority of survivor and most people can agree he is a nerf version of huntress.
The only reason i played him was because of the quickshot whitout that its better to just play huntress

I love how his tentacle can hit over or through many loops, and I love his ability to "drag" the hitbox of his tentacle when he attacks with it. Off the top of my head this is the only killer who has this mechanic and I really enjoy the depth and skill that this brings to chases.
I just wish the zombies didn't get stuck as much, but the killer himself is really fun!
Who else is having a great time with this killer?
I loved nemesis but i stop playing him because of the hold w survivor i could not do much exept farming the zombie

She is still invisible and moves at 176% movement speed compared to survivors’ 100%. Survivors just have counterplay now and it feels like an interactive battle between the killer and survivor, even though the killer has most of the control as they should.
The only thing that was gutted about Spirit was the stand still stupid ######### which I’m glad is getting removed. It absolutely needed to go. It was a cute little thing the first time you witness it but there’s just nothing good about it.
Good Spirit players like myself will be just fine after this nerf and she’s going to be even more fun than before because of the counterplay she has been given.
Also, one last thing I would like to say is I know that this is my 100th time mentioning Spirit since the nerf announcement but I’m just very excited for what’s about to come for Rin.
Maybe at the start you will be fine but when bhvr add the dust to spirit you are going to get ######### by survivor because they will have more info on you compare to you on them.

Yeah its easy in most of the map survivor have an amazing LoS so when you see spirit you run in the oposite direction. At this point she have 2 option leave you alone or try to run after you whitout her power and lose a lot of time or use her power to get close to you but at this point you already bought a lot of time and she is a 110 m1 killer until she get her power back.
Ofc looking around when you play survivor is a nerf to the player because they cant watch netflix at the same time
