  • There was one time myself and another player kept hopping in lockers with tier 3 infinite Myers that had already mori'd our two teammates.

I had hopped into a locker near the gen I was working on when he first hit tier 3 nearby, he mori'd a teammate who decided to try and loop him instead of hopping in the other locker. He pulled me out to slug me, teammates came over to pop me up. Myself and one other teammate tried working on the gen, hopping into locker when he would come over. At some point after one of the times he slugged me he caught one of my teammates for a mori when they tried looping him nearby, during this time I decided to crawl to the basement which was in the killer shack for better pick up and lockers. Teammate picked me up as Myers showed up and we both hopped into lockers.

It was quite the standoff. He tried pulling teammate out and having them wiggle off in hopes of being able to mori them before a locker but they just hopped into locker above the basement. He ended up going back/forth between basement and upstairs in hopes of catching one of us because we'd hop out whenever he was on opposite floor. Few times he tried having us wiggle off in hopes of us being slower than him for a mori. I managed to get basement chest opened and heal myself during this. He could've easily hooked either of us in the basement but instead ended up bleeding us both out.

I always find the Myers standoffs pretty amusing. Instead of hooking the players and getting bunch of BP to get more add-ons to try again and hope next time they'll get a team that doesn't know the counter they instead do these standoffs and eventually bleed out the survivors if the survivor doesn't give up first.

im just wondering how he found this ancient tomb of a thread

I wonder that every time someone necros a post. 😂

  • People found out he's the reason Maurice is gone so they don't like him.

  • The Dredge because he killed Maurice and I'm sad now. 😭

  • What if Maurice is the "distinct reward" for getting a character p3 before the prestige change? All your p3 characters get Maurice to hang out with in their lobbies. I would p3 all my characters, even the ones with all perks that I never prestiged that I've hoarded a ridiculous amount of event offerings and items, if I could have him all the time in my lobbies.

Holy Hell, that is a big crate (and a big kitty! I know Mainecoon's are one of the biggest domestic breeds you can get) :D

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/REGZEGDPPCTL/pxl-20210820-182203181.jpg

This is her on the way to my house with my Dad's crate. I don't have a picture her in her crate but her crate is slightly smaller (like...maybe an inch lower).

So she's snug in there but she can move and whatnot if she wants to. I also right now have a little bed in there but I might remove the bed and put one of her blankets in there instead. I think the bed is taking up too much space...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VOE7UUR2MWRX/pxl-20220610-151241335.jpg

Your crate looks like the one that's a size down from what my cat had - like I said, it's a hilariously big difference between xsmall and small when it comes to the plastic crates. 😂

Check out your pet shops sales on crates but maybe try crate that is size up. While it will be bigger it may encourage her to go in more often if she can easily walk in/out of it without crouching. Also a bit easier to get the kitty in to the big crate. My brother ended up taking my crate for his cat that is normal cat size because it was easier to get him in and his cat HATES the crate - bolts when he sees it and goes to hide in pool table or inside a couch depending on the day. 😂

That's something I also wonder about (crate size). Like...the crate she has is supposed to be her size. She can't stand in it or anything without brushing the top but it's not completely cramped where she can't move.

Some say that's exactly what you want (kind of like a box, they feel safe and secure when it's "cozy"). Holly has never been into boxes or anything like that, she's definitely more of a Jungle Cat than a Cave Cat (back to my boy JG, a Jungle Cat likes to sit up high and survey the land and see predators so they can run/react accordingly where a Cave Cat likes to burrow and be in tight spaces to stay hidden from predators).

So part of me wonders if getting a bigger crate would help. This one is big enough that it does have a little bed in it and whatnot. I figure I need to do my treats thing for a while and see how it goes. The next vet appointment is now early July so I have a month to get her good with this crate. As you stated, in a moment of emergency, I really don't want to have to worry if I can get Holly into her crate.

I don't need her to be see it as her home (I think she might be too old at this point for that particular habit, even if she did like small cramp spaces) but I really want to feel safe that if we need to go right this instant, she won't fight me. It is nice to now though that at least anecdotally, I know someone who actually did have this success (JG talked about it in his video but it just seemed...kind of unrealistic to me but if you got your kitty cat to do it, no reason to think I can't get Holly to).

My cat was a Mainecoon so he was a big kitty, like nearly the same size as my beagle. Here's old pic of them laying side by side snuggling.

    _20220610_144621.JPG

I didn't like the fabric carriers - way more expensive and I didn't want to deal with zippers getting stuck. I went with the plastic carriers and the ones that are generally for cats (xx-small and x-small) were WAY too small for my cat that was long and 20 lbs. I've seen people use those crates for big kitties and I just feel so bad for them. The size difference generally is pretty big between x-small and small for the crates - I used a small and it was so roomy for him and he was so comfy in there. Here's a pic of him hanging out in his crate. Can see he had pretty decent amount of space.

    _20220610_145527.JPG

With older kitty will definitely take more effort and patience than it does with a kitten but it is definitely doable.

That's kind of what I do but I think I need to up my efforts. It is currently under the table where her heated bed is (so like...it's out but it's not really "out" because there's no reason she'd go there. She doesn't bolt when she immediately sees it though) so I think I'm going to move it out to maybe just the middle of the damn living room so she really gets used to it.

I had been giving her her "Jackpot Treats" as Jackson Galaxy calls them (these GoGurt lookin tubes of meat) in the carrier but I haven't done that in months. I didn't really have any rhyme or reason for giving her those treats so I just kind of stopped giving them to her so I might need to get a pattern of some kind to get her more treats AND put them in the carrier to get her comfortable with going in without me having to force her.

It was actually a different JG video I saw that makes me really want to make sure she sees the crate as not only a good place but a place to actively go to if she's scared or whatever. Today, if we were leaving because everything was on fire and not to bring her to the vet, she'd have been toast. And while I am currently irked at kitty, I do not want a toasted kitty :(

My sister lived in the same town as me when I got my old cat as a kitten so I would bring him with me there when I'd go over her place, which was pretty often. Her cats didn't like him but her ferrets loved him (they were like same size when he was a kitten) so he would have a good time going over there. I think being able to take him somewhere with me when I left the house made him think "if I go in here she won't leave me behind" 😂

He loved his crate, saw it as like his safe space. I used one that was bigger than most use for cats so he had room to stretch out. It helped when one time at my old apartment there were manholes exploding nearby due to an underground gas main fire - they were causing the building to shake and we lost power so we decided we weren't going to stick around to see if it got worse, my cat went straight in his carrier when I called him over and we were able to just take off.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I'm currently mad at Holly because she was SUPPOSED to go to the vet this morning so I could get her shots and finally ask a vet the questions I really want to ask (since Holly is my first time kitty, I have questions about diet and what weight she should be at and what is best to feed her, etc etc etc). She wouldn't go into her crate, bolted, and hid under my bed and I had to cancel the appointment because even her super treat didn't coax her out again.

But I am contractually obligated to provide a Holly pic when codes are posted so here's a picture of her but the least adorable I could make her look

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4SZMHYMOF1QE/pxl-20220610-144857171.jpg

Yeah, I'm talking about you! You lil #########...

She's soooo cute. Keep her carrier out even when you're not taking her places and put treats in her carrier so she gets more comfortable with it. If she only sees it when she goes to vet she's going to bolt moment she sees it. If it's just normally out and gives her tasty treats she'll be like "it's my treat box that sometimes brings me to bad place" 😂

  • I'm so happy they still do. I want to send the Twitter people a cake as thanks for doing their part in removing those types from the community.

  • Take hits blocking after unhooks or whenever killer is carrying someone. At exit if killer comes to hit people out take hits after your teammates are hurt - if they're healthy it won't be a protection hit. Run perks that encourage you to take more hits. Accept if you want to get this challenge done quickly you have to be ok with dying way more often than you escape.

  • Just realized you put having all survivors at tier 3 madness as a difficult challenge. That's one of the easiest, it was one of my first killer achievements. I mostly use Doctor now to farm BP and I get all survivors tier 3 pretty quick every match, it's super easy when they see you're just being a chill killer. Doesn't even take any extra add-ons like Myers achievement.

why should we be the bigger people and ignore someone who is actively spewing hatred towards LGBT+ people? why should we just accept that and rise above it?

Remember that time DBD twitter just blocked anyone that commented negatively to an LGBT+ tweet they made. I really enjoyed that stance by them.

  • Left For Dead is pretty difficult achievement for survivor, made more difficult thanks to hatch closing starting EGC preventing survivor from being able to complete the remaining gens.

  • I remember seeing BHVR say before that they wouldn't do content creator cosmetics anymore after some issues with past content creators they made cosmetics for in game. I don't know if they'd make an exception for Puppers.

  • Nightfall at end game is pretty rough. I had a Dredge get a 3k using it with NOED - he downed/slugged 3 teammates before doors were open, I was only one to escape.

What about the skeleton bird charm? 🤔

  • I'm staying neutral until I get more info. I'm not optimistic because being a console player with promises of optimization I'm tired of being disappointed. I don't have enough information to be pessimistic - all I know is they've said there will be changes to game mechanics and perks. It could be good. It could be bad. It could be a mix.

  • I hope he gets nerfed worse than Billy if they do.

  • I hate it, it's so annoying. It makes me hope Ghostface gets nerfed so people stop playing him and I won't have to hear the printer sounds anymore.

  • I was solo and lucked out by working on gen outside killer shack while Trapper was too focused on chasing my teammate and then at end he was camping to secure a kill so I stayed out of site nearby until the other teammates came over to help rush the hook. I ended up stepping in a trap when I was trying to disarm it while trying to help the other two go for save - helped to distract the killer but I ended up dying. 😂

  • Use map offering for Midwich or the Game and hang out on opposite floor from killer chasing a teammate.

If you have a camping killer go hang out near where they're camping.

    Hope for a farming killer.

The prestige change will not change how the bloodweb works. It will only automatically unlock a survivor's or killer's perks on all other sirvivors or killers whenever a character is prestiged.

As it is now if you want a perk, for example Dead Hard, you have to find it in the bloodweb (3 times if you want it at tier 3) and you have to do this for each character you want it on.

With the rework you will only need to prestige David King once and Dead Hard will be given to every survivor you own at tier 1 (prestige 2 for tier 2 and prestige 3 for tier 3). But you can still unlock it in the bloodweb in exactly the same way you do now if you don't own David or don't want to prestige him.

The rework will significantly reduce the grind and give you more control over unlocking perks overall, but it won't change the current functioning of the bloodweb itself.

They said with the shrine when you buy them they automatically unlock on every character as if you prestiged that character and you'll be able to buy the perk to tier 3. So if you don't own David and you unlock the perk via the shrine you will get it on all characters, you don't have to luck out on getting it in your bloodweb like you do now.

  • That charm is adorable. I wish I could have it as my forum pic. 😍

  • Sure, make escape after hatch closed 0 MMR points for both sides but also have the survivors dying to EGC instead of being hooked for sacrifice or mori'd be 0 MMR points for both sides too since the killer didn't kill them, time just ran out.

  • It's a bug, was acknowledged in the bug report section of the forums.

Well yeah, what do you think he's doing in those lockers?

    Sometimes nature calls...

I'd just hate to be the poor survivors who get dragged into it 😱

It's so dark the Dredge thinks lockers are porto potties. Guess that answers what that sludgy sound is that he makes. 😬

  • @Pepsidot said:

Because he can tp to lockers at exit gates to cut you off? It is difficult, yea.

It took me so long to realize when people write tp with the Dredge they mean teleport. I was so confused what they meant by saying he uses toilet paper. 😂

  • It is getting changed this summer.

Six years, we’ve been in The Fog. It’s surreal to reflect on those early days, where the playable characters totalled to four Survivors and three Killers.

  • I'm not a fan of the "within x meters" challenges because unless you have an indicator telling me exactly how many meters away I am I have no clue. I usually just hang out by camping killer or hope for map with 2nd floor with teammate getting chased nearby on opposite floor.

It let's him blink back to the spot but I've heard it can be finicky.

Ah, OK. I haven't seen any Dredge players use them while being looped. One Dredge was placing them behind him while he chased someone holding W, I ran through it to see what would happen and nothing did so had no idea if it should've done something or not. 😂

  • I've complained about the basement item under hook so many times. They should link pick up item to the drop item button not the interaction button.

Unhook should definitely take priority over a heal.

  • I played as David for the archive challenges, the killers didn't treat me any differently.

  • What does the remnant do? I've only faced a handful of Dredge players and I don't think I've seen any use it.

Mines are definitely weird. I wrapped the base and lower part of the wire in aluminum foil and the vicious booger still chews on it. She isn't even hiding it, she does it while looking at me like, whatchya gonna do about it!? I end up tickling and petting her.

I saw the spray that you're talking about at Walmart, I'll definitely try it, but I know with my luck it wont work. I'm gonna search for metal earbuds or something. I know everyone is on the Bluetooth buds, but I just prefer wired since I never have to worry about charging and the fit for my favorite ones are the best for my ears. I don't think the tape would work, they'd just slobber on it like everything else and make it non-stick plastic paper.

Ear buds will definitely get stolen and then they'll hit them under like a couch 😂 You ever see the pics of someone lifting a couch and all the cat toys underneath that the cat swatted under there over the years? 100% will happen to ear buds if not careful 😂

If they chew on the wire while you're using them you could have the chord go up through your shirt when using them.

While typing realized they're probably teething. At petshop there are toys that help kitties with teething - find the right ones and they'll choose to chew on those instead of your wires. Unfortunately might take some trial/error to find the ones that feel best for their teething.

  • They better bring Maurice back asap. Bad match on Father Campbell's? Maurice was always there to brighten your day. BHVR just can't resist encouraging negativity. 😐 #justiceformaurice🐎

My poopy head landlord sprayed for bugs a week ago, even though the kittens were loose. I immediately grabbed them all, including the mother, and put them in my van so as to not let them get the poison on their fur. They were not happy at first. The mother calmed down after she realized I was going to sit with them but some of her kids were stressed and breathing from their mouthes.

After bribing them with salmon purée treated and giving them lots of pets and squeezing their ears, they calmed down and enjoyed running around everywhere, but I would imagine they’d go crazy if I tried to drive up to you in three days.

You will be my very very last resort. I’ll make sure to tempt you with videos of them biting my toes and pictures of them chewing through my headphone wires(I know which turd does it, went through three in the last month, she’s the first to go!).

That's good they chilled out after a bit. If just sitting in car freaked them out a long drive like that would definitely would be high stress.

Petshops sell stuff called bitter apple spray. Most pets hate the taste and it stops them from chewing on things they shouldn't like wires... Some are weirdos though and like the bitter taste. 😂 May want to try that, will probably need to reapply every so often but hopefully it would help. Other option would be wrapping double sided tape around the wires but that would probably get annoying with a head set.

Well, I wouldn’t keep them in a carrier. I drive a minivan and I’d let them run around as much as they want!

But in all seriousness, yea, it wouldn’t be a good experience for them. A worker at my local pet shop said that they would help if I need it. I’ll go when I’m sure the mother doesn’t want them anymore. I’m just trying to get people I know personally to adopt them in order to know 100% that they’re in good hands.

Still hoping to win the lotto (or get hit by a Budweiser truck at a red light that will result in a nice settlement) so I can buy a house and keep them all! I’ll even pay for you to come visit them (I promise to feed you well).

Letting kitties run around seems fine until you do it. 😂 We learned that when my old cat tried to get under the driver's feet. He REALLY wanted to hang out by the peddles. 😂

It definitely makes sense to try with people you trust will take care of them. Like I said if you were closer I'd definitely be one but that 2-3 day drive would be alot for them so will be better for them if you can do closer.

🤞For a lotto win. That seems the safer option between the two. 😂

  • I don't see a problem adding an indicator to when nightfall will begin. It's not like survivors can avoid it happening. They can't go hide in a locker, Dredge could just show up in it. 😂 It would really just be a time keeper more than anything.
