Yeah pretty difficult to play on console but I have the basics down.

I've never once been able to turn with Blight like this, not even close. Is there some kind of trick I am missing or what the hell was that?
If you are on pc you need super high dpi but I did something similar on controller heres a clip.
azame san playing Dead by Daylight: Special Edition at XboxClips.coit's near impossible on console but I did do a 180 degree flick to some extent.

I didn't say it wasn't bad. I said you BM'd and you karma kicked in. You're arguing something that I'm not even disagreeing with.
And I have played gears of war. I used to nolife it back when the original first came out. Also played Halo, etc.
But in this community, when you click, like you did, after the killer whiffs (and I don't even know why, you did nothing impressive to warrant being cocky), it is considered a BM.
I'm arguing the fact you think I bm'd and it was just karma. Me personally 1 click isnt bm. Multiple fast clicks are. He nodded his head when he made a good play and and I didnt take it as bm. This was earlier in the match.
Gears is way more toxic . It is a charm to it though and I love it,but I digress.
Since you think it was merely nothing I did let's break it down. the way he was looping the pallet we both had to make a read because when I turned that corner he couldnt see me and I had to make a choice.
I either throw and maybe get hit or read the lunge and get an extra loop. I did the latter. I then clicked because I made a correct read and got rewarded. Except his ######### connection gave him the down :) once again I dont think 1 click is bm I think the community is just soft.
-
He swung early and gets rewarded. Thats bad, you can play like it trash and still outplay people. 1 click is not bm multiple clicks in a row. Man this dbd community thinks everything is bm. Try gears of war.

BMs, then complains they got pimp slapped.

You deserved both of those hits. :P
Welcome back btw :P
I clicked my flashlight once. That's not bm. The fact that you are ok with these hits because I pressed my rt once is weird to me.

Not really, it was back when most survivors didn't know about running behind round loops (and also I came off the back of maining Deathslinger so leading my Lethal Rushes was literally the first thing I tried)
I knew blights counter quickly so if think people would catch on too. Good blights were already flicking from the start I seen a few.

@Terro said:
I dunno with blight. This is from a survivors pov. Part of me still thinks that blight requires a skilled player plus the map rng lining up correctly. Most solo queue survivors haven't seemed to work out how to deal with blight at all. They seem to play the same way with loops and try to gain distance against him. I haven't felt like I've lost to a blight for a while now. It's always been my team never figuring out how to do a gen or last longer than a ten second chase against him. Yet, if the blight chases me they don't feel too difficult to deal with. I guess that's why both sides like him.
Not all blights are this level though being able to achieve 180 flicks is a huge feat. Not many people play.blight despite his strength and his fun factor.

along with that other guy I get so many 4ks on blight due to how far I have moved up the skill ceiling since ive started that its incredible, my only exit gate escapes I can even remember in the history of playing him on live were, 4 from my first 2 games playing him on live and 2 because 2 survivors were too cute to kill, for context I have around 5k lethal rush hits, and only about 6 escapes from all gens powered exit gates, thats probably around 250-300 games with only 3 occasions that all gens got powered and survivors escaped with the rest being 4ks or hatch, which is pretty good for a character thats only been out for 3 months
You gotta give me some tips as a new blight main myself I have been trying to improve. I honestly think he has a higher skill cap than nurse. There is so much to do with his power.
5k lethal rush hits is amazing for a blight. Those are the most satisfying.

Haha yea it's actual hilarous watching older tier lists and seeing clown in A tier as a "better huntress"
Now you are making me want to watch fok r the nostalgia. Now clown gets so much hate. atleast he gets his buff :)

@bjorksnas said:
even in the ptb I was managing 4ks every game after my first few, I saw his potential even then when he was even more buggy, slow and his lunge was way worse
but as soon as they announced fixes and buffs I knew he would be up to snuff to be a main due to his fun factor, power, and skill ceiling
Blight based grown alot on me. When I switch to pc I might even main killer. Bubba is fun for me too but I digress. Blight had potential even in the ptb that insane mobility was the hint.

I still rember everyone talking about how trash and worthless he is, meanwhile I was sitting at a streak of about 17 4k's on day 2.
17 4ks on day 2 that's insane I'm gonna be honest. Even after the buff he has an immense learning curve.
-
@Rivyn said:
He was, in the PTB. Remember, they didn't give us the buffed version until after. Even on release, he was weak till, what, a week or so after when he got another buff?
(Also, welcome back!)
It was the the fact he couldnt go anywhere without bumping. After they fixed that in release he was really good. In my opinion I feel like the pallet breaking built in is bad except on the ultra rare. It's good sometimes as a zone but other than that meh.
Thanks rivyn good to see you :)

im actually managing it at 1600 dpi with 100% ingame mouse sensitivity (maybe on the 2nd one) you don't need to have hyper sensitivity if you are willing to break your wrist, I would say the second clip is even more skill from the first since he capitalized on the injured sounds even while rushing which is hard to do
Ok high dpi yeah I can see how you do it. What really makes it insane is how high dpi can litterally break the turn lock. Hes one of the best blights out there though. Im not even suprised he did it.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Bligh, once he was released, was never trash. People just aren't that good either at Blight or m1 killer, and for some reason a lot of people think there's no value in mobility (which is shocking).
Now you have people giving him the praise he deserves. I main him now and will pick him up on pc. Atleast when I finish building it.
-
@Withered8 said:
I've always believed he has potential to be insane, other ppl take time to see killer's strengths or weaknesses, remember when clown was supposedly top tier and spirit was bad?
Those were the days though. When people thought clown was genuinely good. I remember watching tyres video and if my memory serves right he was saying he liked clowns design.
-
@bjorksnas said:
yea I can do that, he turned sharp before his swing to get a deeper angle and used the fact that you don't get stopped mid attack to slide along the hook into a hit around the corner, something an above average blight could do
If you can do that kudos. Although he did un a bit it was a straight 180 flick. You cant do that on console atleast kinda. He has high dpi. I've never seen any blight pull that off. Heres another.
https://clips.twitch.tv/InterestingKnottyEmuPartyTimeI love that though, the fact you dont get stopped by objects from lethal rush attacks.

He didn't receive his 2nd buff until about a week or two after release which lets blight go for these more aggressive lethal rushes due to not being completely bodied by pallets.
Anyways its pretty telling how bad a killer was on the PTB if they are receiving their THIRD CONSECUTIVE BUFF SOONtm.
Remember first impressions matter a lot to perception and he had a pretty bad first two impressions.
All he needed in the ptb was fixes collision boxes. The third buff is a fix. Even with his messed up fov. Also pallet breaking with your power is meh. It sometimes helps but tis best to just use your fists.
His first impression was bad I'll give you that. To be fair as people learned he is way stronger than they think.
-
@yobuddd said:

@Warcrafter4 said:
Given that was after 2 buffs:
QoL making his power work on most circular objects and if I am remembering correctly more reliable turning when he went from PTB to live.
His lethal rush now breaks pallets
Finally he's receiving his 3rd buff with a PoV buff coming SoonTM...
He was trash on PTB and got buffed repeatedly because of it.
I mean even on the day of release he was still called weak despite buffs. But is say hes number 2 with add ons or 3 without.

I was excited to hear about hit validation returning to live servers.
Unfortunately, it feels as polished as Chapter 18.
Below are a series of clips exemplifying hit validation in action from the killer's perspective. I had no issues with basic attacks the entire match, yet every time I used Demon Dash/Demon Strike I was punished by hit validation.
These are routine plays--nothing fancy. We all had great ms, and yet the survivors reported seeing me genuinely miss all of these attacks. Prior to today, I would hit every single one of these attacks without issue. Even more concerning is that it appears from my perspective to be aim-assist forcing me to miss, rather than hit validation; however, the screams suggest I hit the attacks on my end.
The need for better hit validation cannot be understated, but how can killers trust what they see if their attacks are being stolen even on good ping?
I feel bad but that topknot is gross.

You can see your ping. If you think it's too high, then leave.
For a survivor main you sure dont seem to understand. My ping is green but if I cant see the killers ping it doesnt matter. This hit validation sucks. They register hits off the killers client and high ping makes it worse. Therefore if I can see a high ping killer I can dodge an not deal with it.

It was the same with p2p, but at least you could see how bad the connection was. I could easily play around a 150ms ping or even higher, because I could adapt. I knew I would need to vault or drop the pallet earlier, but now I only know my own ping and can hope that I won't get someone from further away or someone using VPN. To see the Killer's ping in the lobby and during the game when pressing ESC would help a LOT. So I can at least prepare myself again or dodge the lobby.
Years ago 2016 to late 2018 vaults worked. Pallets were ######### ever since the vacuum pallet removal but atleast vaults work. All we need is to see the ping I we can know when to dodge. All this info should be in the lobby.

I got 3.3k hrs in this game and I play for 2 years now, if that answers your question.
I get a lot of players from eastern Europe here in Germany. They often have a bad connection and the hits are just uhhh. And it bothers me to get slapped through a window that is 3m behind me or get hit by hatchets around a corner. But I was never bothered by close calls like in your clip. there will alwys be some latency with servers. I also see DbD as competitive game, but I learned to live with some things. And close calls are some of these.
I understand now what truly bothers me is that it never used to be like this. That's why I am so bothered by getting by that even though it was still close ish.

Why do you use things like insta blind flashlights and infinites as examples? If anything those were removed for the overall health of the game and can hardly be called nerfs.
I guess I can see why players that havent had a significant nerf since late 2018 would struggle to deal with a slight item nerf though
Even if it was a good nerf th ssd t does not make it a nerf. You cant pick and choose what counts as a nerf and what doesnt. Flashlights are significantly weaker now that insta blinds were removed. The best use is locker saves.
Once again there is no need for significant nerfs therefore they arent gonna do them. Cut the us vs them killer bias stuff it's pretty cringe.

@LapisInfernalis said:

Looks normal to me. I have had worse hits around corners, through windows etc. And I usually get 35ms (Frankfurt) or about 50ms (London I guess), so my connection ist not bad.
This situation was a close call anyways.
No offense but do you play this game casually? When I play games I like to be competitive and I find casual players dont really mind bad hits as much. Close call ot not it was not fair.

60-70 ms is definitely on the upper end of "acceptable". You probably live relatively far away from the closest server.
Still good enough to not get all the bs hits that get me as killer.

Ooo even worse. Consoles can't even play this game correctly. Better off waiting till you got the new Xbox or Playsation at this point, or switching to PC (PC would be cheaper and better for you in the long run in terms of gaming anyways).
I am building a pc right now I just need my gpu and motherboard. Also a console can still get good ping graphics once again have no correlation to ping.
-
@TheButcher said:

Based on your terrible graphics. I can pretty much guarentee you that the Killer has a better connection than you. They are going to get priority hit over you.
Graphics has no correlation to ping. Also I'm on console. If 60-70 ping is bad idk what to do. These servers are cheap any other game in getting 9-15.

I think a ping indicator is a good idea, but it wouldn’t prevent all these questionable instances. I’ve had survivors scream at me about having bad internet post-game several times and my ping is very consistent and hovers around 30. My internet is almost certainly better than theirs.
It would at the very least give an opportunity to dodge obvious bad ping.

Feel it sometimes i get ingame a desync the survivor stand there for x seconds i hit them get damage after the hit the surv he is moving far far away from me...my internet is stable and never had this issue since the first hit validation test. And i have this only in DBD.. In other games my internet is working as intended.
That has happened to me and my friend you get a blade wipe and they run away. It's crazy as hell.

Exactly this. Hit Validation prioritises the player with the better connection to the server so it's distinctly possible that the killer had the better connection so prioritised their hit.
Explain the delayed stun then since he clearly had better connection. Bad connection means everything is delayed.

If we assume the hit validation system is working as it should be, then the only thing BHVR could determine from this clip is that the Killer was the one with the stronger connection and so was given priority - on the Killer's screen, you were closer to them.
I was at 60-70 ms that's decent. That's not hitting if the killer has similar ping. There is no way in hell that he had stronger connection even the stun was slightly delayed.
-
Yes crazy isnt it?

There is no plan to revert back to P2P. Dedicated servers was the most requested feature by the Community and it took a lot of work to implement. There will be Server Sided Hit Validation implemented in due course - this has already been tested on the Live build, which will prioritise the person who has the best connection to the server for hopefully fairer play.
Still waiting for that hit validation. Should I pull out my clips of vpners and bad wifi killers? Have the devs thought of showing the killers ping or prioritizing hit validation?
