How is it exploiting? They get no points for standing around invisible.
it's not exploit, maybe. but making survivors wait for a lobby, burn some offerings, enter a game, do some gens and escape with zero killer interactions isn't the nicest thing one can do
-
normal, I always report them as exploiters for farming xp
-
not worse than jane
-
LOL
-
just like the oni, clown is poorly designed, his moves look a lot faster than it should. but they have the same base speed.
-
if you can't fix gens speed, make stupid challenges that force survivors to play suicidal

Pros and cons of Deathslinger.
Pros:
Has a ranged weapon
Has a 24m TR
Can Pull survivors out of advantageous spots and loops
Has add-ons to help him secure a hit via lowering his TR, Reloading faster
Quick draw and firing of his weapon
Cons:
Towering height comparable to Plague
4.4ms (110%) Movement Speed
Limited 18m range for weapon
Weapon cannot down with ranged attack, Survivors must be reeled in first for the strike
Weapon inflicts Deep Wound Status Effect and Timer upon Chain breaking
Chain break stuns Deathslinger for 4 seconds
Loud Foot Stomps
Loud Weapon giving global noise notification, and Scares crows within his TR giving survivors visible confirmation of his whereabouts
Conclusion:
The reason his TR is small, and his music is subtle is that, Unlike Huntress, His weapon has a lot of drawbacks in damage and especially in its limited range. Add in the Fact that he's crazy tall, Moves at the same speed as Huntress, and has global Audio notifications for when he's using his weapon, and what you get is a killer that clearly wouldn't be able to get close enough to survivors at all if his TR and Music were at the standard size of 32m, or loudness of Demogorgon's, Oni's or Doctor's. An example of another killer with a Limited ranged attack that benefits more when their TR is lowered to 24m by M&A: Plague. Like Plague, he moves slower while charging/aiming down the sights, Unlike Plague however, Deathslinger is still limited by his slower than average movement speed, and only gets one precision shot before he has to spend even more time slowing down to reel in and strike a survivor, or reload. His Semi-Stealth approach is necessary for his power to be useful, otherwise every time survivors heard him coming, they'd locate him immediately due to his size, and stealth or run away. As it stands currently, Large and open maps like Disturbed ward, Blood Lodge, Ironworks of misery, and the Red forest are his bane as they allow survivors ample viewing distance of him with little to no LoS blockers, and he can't traverse them fast enough to apply adequate gen pressure.
His TR and Music seem to have been intentionally made smaller and quieter than average so that he can actually get close enough to be a threat, otherwise he literally would be the worst/most easy to avoid killer in the game with a laughably worthless ability.
if they want to make his TR smaller, just make it smaller (20m or something), making a NO SOUND TR is stupid and probably this isn't intended.

Infectious is distance based, not radius
you are wrong.
-
It would be a lot more fun if I didn't get gen rushed most of the time. But, this is probably my fault lol

@Peanits said:
It might not be his terror radius you're noticing. He's got a base 24m radius, and it's fairly normal. It'll have the heartbeat and everything.
It might seem weird for a few reasons:
- If they're using Monitor & Abuse, that'll bring them down to 16m. Chases start at 12m, so there's not much room between being in their terror radius and being in chase. It might ramp up really quickly.
- He also has add-ons that change his terror radius when aiming down sights.
Do either of those sound like what's happening?
Not in my case. I screamed because of infectious fright without listening to any terrar radius.

I wish I end up my rift as soon as possible so I can take a break of this game.
-
Didin't they fix the new map problem? If I'm not crazy there was some kind of invisible wall somewhere.
-
OP, a suggestion: X-axis could be divided in 25, 50, 75 and 100% since there are 4 survivors. But still, amazing charts! well done!
-
the game, stupid map
-
I choose one survivor and keep chasing him no matter what. Just to try to improve my 1vs1.
-
you guys are probably right, dbd isn't full of bugs nor performance issue
-
I didn't, I just don't try to reach red ranks anymore.

Not that I am a big fan of the current Corrupt Intervention, but wouldn't blocking the three closest gens just make you have to waste more time patrolling the remaining gens?
I think that blocking the 3 closest gens would make a 3 gen strategy easier for killers like trapper and hag. But yeah, you could be right.....
-
it lightens up when you are far away from a hooked survivor. this way you know if yoy're going to get those tokens to progress in its effects.

I wish it is, it will not be.

Can we please have a mori animation stopped feature?
Like, blinding the killer or dropping a pallet if they're moriing there stuns the killer?
What do you guys think?
And yes killers, give the keys a 10 seconds loading time to open hatch, I'd aprove that too.
And yes survivors, make the mori work only after all survivors have been hooked at least once, I'd aprove that too.
Killer and survivor rank 1, xbox, Trapper and Bill mains
I think I have a better mori counter: avoid being hooked.

I totally agree

Well, if the update is delayed a mere week (which is nothing) - they probably have their reasons. I would rather wait a bit for a better working patch than get something buggy and unfinished early.
we all know we will get something bugy and unfinished late.

Main solo survivor here. Just posted a thread adressing current ridiculous gen speed. I feel your pain. It is absolutelly impossible playing killer agains 2 efficient survivors (yeah, I really meant 2 survivors, it is only neeeded 2 efficient survivors to get a 4 esacape).
-
@WeaponXMetsu said:
I'm in agreement with this. I main killer most of the time, but I've been playing less and less killer (only for rituals and challenges lately). If I'm not doing either then I'm probably not playing the game. I'm a casual player and I feel at this point Dead by Daylight is going to lose more killers. At least... I'm playing the game at a point where it feels really redundant. It's gotten so dull too. For a game that relies on killers to have matches more so than survivors it can easily destroy the game. Sure survivors are needed as well, but if I kill less and survive more I'm adding to the problem as well.
I'd love to play more survivor, but lobbies take too long and I could be playing other games so the question arises... why should I play this game if the majority of the time I'm looking for matches? It can be fun, but waiting forever isn't my kind of fun either.
Of course survivor queues are long, what is the point of playing killer if you know you are not going to have fun? If you know that playing well isn't enough? I don't really care about surviving, all I want is to have fun while playing, but I feel like the killer is going to be gen rushed if I loop him for more than 30 seconds. It is ridiculous! Also, adrenaline, ds and noed are absoluytelly trash! They encourage bad gameplay like camping and gen rushing. Why should I selfcare or get healed if I can genrush and DS the sh1t out of the killer if he dares stop me! Please BHVR, start caring about balance and everybody's fun! I freaking love this game :(

people think a couple of days is enough to judge a killer, like if there were no skill cap involved

I wouldn't necessarily put it that way. If there was no chase music, survivors would never escape a chase from a good killer due to footsteps, grunting, groans of pain, breathing, etc.
I like the new killers' custom music because it's quiet enough to hear survivors, but also loud enough that they can outplay you.
not necessarilly a good killer. but any killer with ears.

Jane - the killer will check every locker in the map

Huntress' hatchets are powerful enough to break them but they can't break them since forever

It wasn't meant to be an insult. More, advice. It's better to actually learn something than ask the devs to stop doing something that is perfectly learnable.
I don't think lerry's locations are learnable. I feel confused even searching for the mid gen! Every place looks the same, you have zero orientation. Did you find the devour hope earlier during a chase? Too bad you have no idea where it was.
Also, there are no loopable structures (jungle gyms, pallet gyms, L wall-T wall) where the killer can mindgame and try to force survivor to make mistakes. All we have are lots of safe pallets, lots of windows and that's it.
I don't know, maybe I have some disorder that makes me unable to locate in these indoor of maps lol but I rather playing the classic maps (even the swamp!) in both roles...
-
@Frankie said:
If you think those maps make survivor "luck", you need to actually get better at the game, because it sounds like you rely on safe loops (Lery's and The Game have a ton of safe pallets btw).
not necessary "git gud". first, this is what I mean when I say playing killer is a breaking pallets simulator. second, I didn't mean there are no safe loops, I mean there are boring loops that don't reward skill (for none of the roles). also, sorry if I'm not a god looper/killer like you. I promise you I'll try to get better.

thank you, entity

work in progress.

her lore is more boring than yui's, impressive.
-
you can minimize it.
-
Don't you understand the patch notes? Survivors were nerfed, they will NO LONGER keep the addons. Only using a perk speciffically meant for finding addons.
-
2 really necessary small buffs for our trappy boy.

I'm here, pressing F5 on patch notes page. Nothing yet.

No, in real life, people can be decent. It's more like "welcome to the internet", but I still refuse to accept that we can't be decent to one another. But if you choose to accept it then as mentioned, you're part of the problem (not accusing you of being bad or anything, I'm just saying accepting it doesn't make a change).
most people act polite irl because they are too afraid of being themselves, not because they do care about somebody else. people are selfish and they act like beasts if they have the opportunity. an online multiplayer game only gives them the opportunity. is it sad? it is. will it change? nope.

if you want to get good into something, you have to focus your effort in that thing. mastering killers is the same, you'll never be master in all of them, you have to prioritize one of them. but of course playing only one may get boring, than it's up to you decide
