Matchmaking is probably one of DbD's worst problems by far. How can you ever hope to get better if your a green rank matching up with a full team of red rank survivors every other match? So here's my solution:
Casual and Competitive modes. That simple. Casual ques you up without the ranking system, and awards no pips or depips per match, maybe with slightly less bp. Comp mode MUST be played to maintain your pips and still offers depips but also higher BP gains.
Siege has an unranked and ranked mode too. Both are sweaty and people use the same strats.

The small indie team definitely puts more effort into their character models & I do think BHVR should do the same, but I actually like DBD's version better here. Cheryl on the left looks too pure while Cheryl on the right looks like she's scared sh*tless.
Yeah but tbagging with a scared face doesn't seem right ๐

That would make her +1 box add-on pretty worthless.
She will be getting an addon pass anyways

They did show a lunar event generator during clown rework sneak peek if I recall correctly.
-
Issue with coup de Grace is how frustrating it would be if every stack gets used on a single player and then he gets killed.
I would love to see a QoL change for the perk though so it only consumes a stack after the range exceeds default lunge range

Rainbow six siege

What?

Death - slinger.

Rocket launcher.

I like the building wall idea. I can't come up with any animations that the survivor has to go through that doesn't look goofy for this though.
-
The only issue I have with spirit is with her standstill mindgame. Completely unnecessary.

It def does. They also wanted to buff Open Handed in the last PTB, but i think they canceld that. (Why?)
I'm not sure if they did cancel that but I don't think open handed needed a buff in the first place. 32m with kindred is just too much.
-
Just to maximize your range. You don't have to look up. It's just to make sure you get the maximum range.
-
You got scammed by the entity.
-
I've got tons of use out of repressed alliance but then I've played a lot of games with it. It's not going to be really useful all the time but will come in clutch when it is.
-
Damn dude. That's some serious dedication.
-
Wow they put out the code 15 minutes after I shut my PC down and then get expired before I wake up. Why not make it 24 hours?

The perk name can obviously be changed but it would be cool if it was named "calling of the entity" or "entities calling" but anyways the perk has to be activated first and can only be used once per match. To activate the perk you have to hook one survivor and once the perk activates the next survivor you hook that hasn't been hooked yet will automatically go into the second hook stage. I honestly think its quite a balanced perk doesn't favor either side.
Yeah but wouldn't you feel like ######### if you were the chosen one? You only get 2 lives but the others get 3. And you get moried immediately after unhook.
-
@Volfawott said:
It wouldn't but I'd prefer damage transfer.
If person who was unhooked gets hit within 20 seconds damage is transferred to the rescuer instead.
Stops tunneling but actually punishes stupid and reckless saves as if you're injured and farm you get downed instead if the killer hit the farm victim
Trolls or newer players will make you wonder why you ran this perk in the first place.
-
I'll be really impressed if you manage to master nurse on consoles. If you find it difficult now then wait for MMR to come out. Should have easier games then.

People have been saying the games been dying for years and it will probably last for another 2-3 years but after that last chapter. It's certainly not looking good.
I'm pretty sure they will pull some licensed killer out during their anniversary to bring the game back to life. I hope so atleast.
-
Mindbreaker now works even above 50% progress. It's best used with stealth killers but is also decent enough to hinder survivors from recovering from exhaustion after they used dead hard or sprint burst for example.
-
Photoshopped. Survivors aren't nice.
-
BHVR and quick action never go together
-
#########?
-
This will quickly make franklin's demise meta especially for tunnelers. DS is necessary but the current version we have is overkill and can be weaponized easily.
-
I wouldn't give him a buff. Maybe less PoTD attack cooldown and less ability to zone maybe so I can spam shots. But honestly he is fine the way he is. Only issue is survivors holding W. Rarely gives you chance to use your ability and they usually get downed to a M1 anyway.
-
I'm pretty sure second wind counts individual progression as well. Or did they change that?
-
Pyramid head maybe. He is kinda like doctor but deals damage.
-
If both fuses are inside the basement with a bubba then it's omaewa mou shindeiru
-
It is. The way you play in tournaments as killer is play as nurse, run noed, get a hook and then camp him until he dies. Camaraderie will buy other survivors more time to finish gens.
-
DC
-
Spirit is much like nurse. As a survivor you can only make it harder for her but ultimately hit or no hit depends on the killer. There is a lot of mindgames when it comes to her. I completely disagree that spirit doesnt take skill. It definitely does. You need to make reads, predictions and guesses.
But I would like to see her stand still mindgame go. It is unhealthy for her and she definitely doesn't need it. Its just frustrating.
-
It's a meta tournament perk though so there is that.
-
Devs released MMR previously but it was a broken mess and didn't work as intended so they reverted it. They left this change as is though. But data is still getting collected on the background to prepare for MMR and to make sure the collection is smooth, they implemented it early. They introduced it early the first time they put in MMR matchmaking as well for the same reason. To collect data and make transition smoother.
-
MMR system which is soon to be implemented will have elo which is different for different killers so if you are god tier with blight but play as nurse rarely or if you are not good with her, you get easier opponents. Getting easier opponents and then switching killer to blight while in lobby is abusing the mechanic and its intended to stop this cheese.
-
Blight ๐.
Also it's not my opinion. Please dont bomb me
-
Well, if you move back and pull at the same time you technically will cancel each other out and never reach the survivor.

How would it? The issue is a lack of killers.
When good nurses for example play a different killer they rarely play, they can fill in these holes
-
Key changes will be coming soon too
-
Now imagine if there were 4 keys
-
I would wait to see how MMR plays out before we come to conclusions. People had the same concerns last time and it was a broken mess.
-
MMR should hopefully alleviate this issue.
-
Nurses calling - so you can catch people healing offguard
Sloppy - To make survivors heal longer which means more chance to make use of nurses calling
Mindbreaker - If you are concerned of survivors using sprint burst to run away as you uncloak (probably useless but just giving you the options)
Any gen defense perk
-
Mother daughter ring and yakuyoke amulet for maximum salt output.
-
I would balance for a 1 vs 2.5. If killer is as strong as all 4 survivors together, its highly likely killers always wins because he is immune to coordination and teamwork flaws. Killers are supposed to rely on survivor's miscommunication and weak links to win. That's why tournament SWF always dominate.
-
Controllers might do well with a look back button but I don't think PC needs one.
-
Stealth is the best way to play against killers like nurse though. I don't really mind stealthy players because it's usually a free hit if they get found. It's a thrilling experience for survivors, especially new ones and the killer has no idea where to find them and has to look. That's like playing outlast and hoping no one finds you.
-
MMR is not implemented yet. When it is, you will see more of these because rank wouldn't matter anymore and everyone starts from rank 20.
