Interesting mindbreaker buff (Closed)

  • When a generator is being repaired while under 50%, a survivor will convert twice the amount of time they were on the generator into exhaustion.
  • Exhaustion, in general, is paused when on a generator regardless if a survivor is repairing one with under 50% progress. This was apparently already done in its last buff which I didn't even know about.

Mindbreaker buff: It keeps the part where it pauses the recovery for the exhausted status effect when a generator is under 50%. But...

  • Every second of progress added to a generator that is under 50% is added to their already paused exhaustion.

For example, if a single survivor does half the gen by themselves and gets off, they will have 80 seconds of exhaustion. However, if this is too "powerful" it can be reduced to just normal conversion (1:1 ratio conversion of seconds into exhaustion duration).

It is not too strong and will make survivors weaker when approaching them off of a generator which is what the perk is intended to do.

Ok I didn't even read the mind breaker buff fully, I guess it is meh now lol

Sounds too complicated. Especially if a survivor jumps on a gen while they already still have a 40 second exhaustion timer. 120 seconds of exhaustion will cause uproars.

  • After Mindbreaker got its buff awhile back it's been relatively strong. Mostly for stealth Killers to screw over people that use Sprint Burst. Same idea as people who run Stridor Spirit to counter Iron Will.

I thought it was pretty simple, for as long as a survivor is on a generator under 50%, they get the exhaustion status effect for as long as they are on the generator doubled (but I can see that it should not be doubled).

It could have a limit though, maybe up to 60 seconds while keeping their exhaustion timers paused.

I actually had no idea it was buffed, and even then it seems weak. I think it should work like a build up over time kind of perk.

  • Mindbreaker now works even above 50% progress. It's best used with stealth killers but is also decent enough to hinder survivors from recovering from exhaustion after they used dead hard or sprint burst for example.
