This could actually be good for the game because just maybe, people will play killer just a lil' bit more. It is a start at the least.
-
It is not just for high quality camping, but it is also good to create pressure if you are lacking. If you can manage to hook 2 people in the basement, then you should consider staying near the basement guarding a 3 gen in you are lucky.
-
Yeah, she doesn't need nerfs, she deserves a full on rework.

It should at least be 16 meters, anything above that wouldn't do much for him other than not see him all the way across the map. If it was 16 meters he could reasonably get close to survivors in the open without it being a free hit but also not be a waste by the survivors running too soon.
This is something i always thought wraith should have ever since reworked freddy got something similar, Like it's a cloak it should be harder or next to impossible to see him from a far distance.
Yeah I could see this working out for him. I just really hope the devs implement this change. But looks like we will have to wait and see.
-
An aggressive build for Wraith would look like this:
Brutal strength, enduring, STBFL, and whispers. I would suggest using either the lvl 2 and 3 windstorm addons or the lvl 3 windstorm addon with the addon that lets you apply mangled to survivors you hit after uncloacking.
-
Yeah, his addons are mostly garbage now. Try using the lopro chains, apex muffler, or iri brick instead.

I know this isn't related to the thread topic at all, but how is it fair for Spine Chill users to detect a killer with the Undetectable status effect when they are looking at the survivor from 36 meters?
I have said this before but the post didn't get anywhere. However yes, it is kind of dumb how this can help counter a stealth killer. People usually just argue that you can just look away when moving to where you see someone. The fact that you can do this at all is just dumb. But it is not a huge issue.

Yeah that wasn't my proudest post. I did not really think that one through. Didn't mean for it to get a little out of hand.

Wow I can't wait to buy 3 laurel bag satchels for an extra 50% BP in the objectives category with the 10,000 BP.

I suggest just using iri shards for now. Unless it is a licensed killer, don't give BHVR money. Especially after this chapter.

I hear you, and I appreciate you trying to defend those people. Why do you say this game in particular has a lot of unstable people in it though? Genuinely curious.
I say this game in particular because unlike COD where things are more on an equal playing field, dead by daylight is not. So something like a tbagging person who just stunned you with only 1/15th of the pallets they have left to work with on a map is greatly amplified because you can do nothing about it. Stuff like this exists on both sides, feeling helpless is just so infuriating in this game because there is nothing you can do sometimes and the other side knows it while purposefully trying to make you upset over it by simply pressing crouch a few times on their keyboard, or smacking you on hook.
-
These maps are bad and unbalanced.
btw what happened to the reworking of the swamp? I mean, I remember seeing pictures of a reworked version of the swamps with like a big ol' tree.

Unfortunately, there are many like that.

Do we really need a PSA on why you shouldn't play online games when you're in a bad mental place? For real, I know what its like, and if I feel like playing DBD is going to stress me out more than bring me relief, I don't play it. You need to come mentally prepared or do something else, there's no third option.
I've never played an online game where people didn't complain about the report system not working. Its because in any game that's even semi-popular and has messaging/chat and a report system? There is going to be an abundant amount of reports, more than any reasonably sized staff could go through. Its there to make you feel good. "I reported that guy, he'll get his comeuppance!"
Toughen up or leave. It sounds horrible but anybody saying anything else is blowing smoke up your rear end. Don't fool yourself into thinking things like this have a solution. People are going to be jerks.
You know what? I completely agree with you, the fact that there are mentally unstable people playing a game (especially this game in particular) is quite irresponsible on their part. But that won't stop a lot of those people. So at the least, we could update the report system. Besides, this is only one reason updating the report system needs to happen. Even if it doesn't happen to someone not doing so great, it still drives people away from the game. Besides, it really is just a game after all.

What I've determined in my short time here is, if your perk loadout and general play strategy (as Killer) beats mine (as Survivor), then it's illegal and you should change how you play, lol. I (as survivor) should be able to run whatever my preferred perks are, and play the way I want to play, and always escape. I shouldn't HAVE to run a specific perk to counter a playstyle I don't like.
That's the entitled mindset I have seen lol.
It really is. Survivors have so much more than killers, but they complain when the killer gets something good. I don't want to go into detail about this on this post, but it is definitely a thing. A good survivor team (of randoms) could probably still win (escape with everyone) without perks. Honestly, the perks I choose don't always take part in a chase (adrenawin, DS, etc) but I can still run the killer around for 5 gens worth. The fact that this is a thing you can do against a decent killer proves how much survivors have on top of perks.

I've only been playing just over a month now and received plenty of hate-mail myself - one message was warranted, actually (I facecamped in a few early games because my inexperience made me feel like that was my only option at the time to get a kill), but most of it is just plain mean for no good reason. Not exactly the nicest welcome to the game but, it is what it is lol.
lol, I actually didn't start to get hate until I started to play killer more and more. Apparently, it is illegal to kill survivors any way you can in this game.
-
I expect windstorm to be base kit, preferably the purple one and the wraith to be invisible to survivors beyond 16 meters from the wraith.
Bone clapper could debatably be base kit for him.

Differing of age, maturity, emotional intelligence, reasons for playing, etc...all play a role in how "toxic" someone will be. Anyone who is prone to taking things too seriously in life is likely going to have a hard time truly enjoying anything in that life. Sadly, most everyone goes through these stages of caring too much about a given thing before eventually realizing it's a huge waste of energy to get so tilted over a game and doesn't provide any benefit to them. The quicker one can learn to enjoy the little successes of the game vs letting the little annoyances totally ruin your night, the better off you'll be in-game and in life. This doesn't mean letting all negative stuff just float over you without response, it just means learning when it's appropriate (and beneficial) to respond, and when it's not appropriate or beneficial.
I know I can't really do anything, but I wanted to know what people think of this. The toxicity in this game is pretty ridiculous.

It reduces your phase movement speed by 15%, unless there is a bug which doesn't reduce her movement speed in phase. Try one game with the amulet and one without I suppose.
Make sure not to use any other addons though.
It is actually a 26% reduction in phase-walking speed. Not otzdarva explains this in a video where he talks about all killer addons literally all day.
-
You can cancel out the "slight" movement speed reduction by using the green addon that increases phase speed if you would like. It is probably just a grammar error.

When I try doing stuff like that I accidentally hold the blink too far. But not only that nurse just isn't my thing.
I can understand that and there is an addon that shows you where you will teleport though. It is actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it. But why play nurse when you can play the chad Oni who is the best killer in the game according to this tier list??

I was bad at nurse before they changed her. I just can't get blinks down and I'm bad at predicting where survivors will go.
You don't have to predict survivors all of the time btw. What you should be doing is use the first blink to close a big gap between you and the survivor, and then use the second one to get close enough for a hit.

How high were you when making this?
(lmao plz it is just a joke)

Wow, hopefully you took it like a champ and ignored it.
-
Doctor with anyone would be the best because he could just make everyone incapable of doing anything.
-
There should not even be new DLC next chapter. The game is in a bad shape right now. It NEEDS a huge health patch soon. These login bonuses are just to keep us logging in to make the game seem more popular than it is which is a lame tactic.
-
Yeah I like this, it actually adds something to all killer's base kit as a means of regression. And regression is part of the killer meta right now considering ruin and undying are in most killer games now.
-
Yes, I don't understand why the devs would release a literal broken chapter. It is harming them more than helping them and makes BHVR as a company look like a joke. But hey, if you want to go ahead and vote them for the labor of love like they so kindly hoped for I can't stop you.
-
Just don't lose your cool and if you can, for the other killer's sake kill the douchey players lol.
-
I see what you mean but I feel like most of them are a still bit lackluster in performance. Like hangman's trick, that perk could be a great if it had at least a 4 meter increase buff. 6 meters is just way too short and they were way too quick on that nerf it got.

One thing is obvious now: You're aware now that you are upsetting others for no logical gain when you attempt/successfully yeet in front of the would-be rescuer's face. You can no longer use personal incredulity or ignorance as an excuse to continue doing this guilt-free. If somebody is coming to save you, don't yeet in their face. It hurts them and you. Just accept that, it'll make the game a nicer place.
I usually don't talk like this, so sorry for being more flustered than usual. I was tired yesterday and I feel like I sort of jumped the gun on this whole kobe thing. Didn't really think things through.
But yes, I can see why people are upset by kobeing in the face of others. I have done this many times and had it happen to me many times as well. I may personally don't care about this, but others feel differently. I was confused yesterday because I was reading one too many posts about how toxic kobeing is because they were becoming a bit more popular of a topic so I immediately made a post asking why people are getting upset over it. I will be more conservative when it comes to the kobe mechanic and more thoughtful of others when I attempt to do it.

Really? Fron what I have seen, good players barely ever need to care about the overheat mechanic. His addons surely were nerfed, but many people agreed that he needed that.
And that‘s just one single killer, who is arguably still a top tier killer.
True true. But good survivors know that they can completely deprive the billy of chainsaw hits and make him an m1 killer with good mobility. Remember that his chainsaw can only punish survivors if they make a mistake. Unless the survivor is decent, curves are one of the few ways you can get a good chainsaw in, but even then the survivors will expect these. I don't think he is top tier, but like high middle tiered.

well that's the beauty of diversity and making choices :D
BPs reduction I agree is not the best constraint to balance but some additional ideas can be added up such as:
- countdown timer of 5 minutes for usage of the 5th perk slot
- it can be used only when there are X gens done
- it can be used only when doors are powered
- etc etc etc creative restrictions to balance
A count down sounds interesting.
Of course I don't think this would work well in normal games, but this could be a fun little gamemode in KYF.
The count down is probably the best suggestion or limitation to the usage of the 5th perk.

How are killers being continuously nerfed? what killers have received substantial nerfs this year?
I am not playing this game a lot, the main reason being the sound that has been bugged for a year now. And I think the devs do deserve criticism, especialy right now. But exaggerating beyond belief and in such a ridiculous way, and making certain Problems up won‘t help your case at all.
Billy was nerfed pretty badly :(
-
Well with this try to remember that certain survivor perks are better than others. So if someone runs DS with laurie, then they practically have DS as base kit if they choose it, or unbreakable on bill. Good survivors are strong without good perks, with perks they are really tough to catch. With this they would become almost impossible to catch. lol can you imagine a survivor with DS, Unbreakable, adrenawin, BT, AND iron will? It would be overwhelming for killers. Even a 5th perk slot for a killer would only do so much, remember that the reason survivor perks are stronger than killers is because there is no direct counter to them. With killer, there is plenty of counter play with things like BBQ or hex totems in general. For survivors, they not only have strong perks, but they have perks that stack 4 times since there are four survivors. Same thing goes for if they had 5 perks.
The bloodpoint reduction seems kind of redundant to this, it isn't going to stop people from using the offering.

Thanks. Are there any common jukes I should watch for?
You're welcome. A common one I would watch out for is when you phase and the survivor just gets into a loop. Sometimes if they are very uh "jukey" or sporadic, they usually fast vault a window and then slow vault back out (imagine this on shack). With a perk like iron will, they usually try to stand still away from grass, but remember that even with iron will a survivor can only make it so far if you phase close enough to them.
At a tight area they might try to run back as you are in phasing and they predict that you are right behind them. So find a good distance to un-phase from when at a pallet or tight corridor.

I'm mostly worried about the tracking and when to use her ability.
It can be a bit had sometimes. You have to be really acute and quick when it comes to phasing with spirit. Look at grass, listen for footsteps, predict only if you need to (like if you're on a strong tile). Again, I did mention I made a guide on this if you are interested.
-
Agreed, it is the least they could do right now.

I have good earbuds but that's about it. I have bbq and chili on pretty much all my killers. I usually get pretty lucky when it comes to getting bbq and chili early in the bloodweb. I played nurse way back when before the infamous progress reset happened to me (twice). I'm honestly just worried about spirit because I DO have her p1. But that was before she was changed.
Well what are you worried about for spirit?
-
For nurse, the best advice anyone could give you on console or PC is to use the first blink to get closer to the survivor and the second one to get really close, close enough to get a hit.
For spirit, use good headphones (seriously). I am not sure if you can enable surround sound on console, but that is an option on a windows 10 PC. I actually made a guide on this, I don't mean to advertise but you can go to the guide I made a while ago on the spirit. It has tips and tricks, good addon combinations, and stats on the spirit. (I did my best on this plz be nice)
For Blight, you should learn the kind of places to use your power at. When using it for lethality, you want to use it when the survivor attempts to run to a different tile or is in the open and you can use your rush to quickly hit them. Of course, you should mainly be using this for mobility.
Before you p3 everyone though, make sure you have one or two killers you are good with and keep them at lvl 50 with BBQ and chili, in fact BBQ and chili is a necessity if you are going to p3 everyone.

Lol, its kinda obvious.
Posts, relative to upvotes, relative to game changes.
The only significant positive survivor posts you get here is from new survivors who everyone laughs at. Survivor mains don't bother posting here anymore, there's no point.
Occasionally I'll post, but even then its just to laugh at the killers in their bubble. They don't like it when you point out the trajectory of the game. You literally see their brain implode, because that can't deal with the fact that killer is easier and survivor is now harder since release.
Survivor mains don't post here anymore? I doubt that.
Are you saying that killer is easier than from release, or that killer is easier than survivor now?
