Yeah, people always exaggerate that solo queue is hell. I will admit that it kind of is, but it is not as bad as you think. I have mainly played solo queue since my beginnings as both killer and survivor and I must say that solo queue is bad, but not always hopeless. I had a really intense, fun, and coordinated team (because of kindred) against a deathslinger camping shack basement during endgame collapse next to an open gate (only to get at least one kill, he wasn't a trash player). I was injured so I signaled a teammate over to me by pointing my flashlight in the sky, she then healed me and we inched very close to the shack. I immediately used SB to run down making the deathslinger miss an m1 and saved the girl on hook with BT. I then ran out of basement along with everyone else taking perfect hits. I asked them if they were all solo and they were. That was one amazing game I had in solo queue in recent times.
But yes, the mmr system needs to be fixed.

It happens so often and some ttvs also accused me of streamsniping when I just saw their big fat heads popping out from a tree or something
lol exactly, I don't think most people know what a killer sees vs what they see. It seems to be if they can't see you, then you can't see them.
-
Well, a jumpscare isn't really scary, it is just startling. We need another killer that makes you panic like an Oni dashing towards you at full speed in the open. That is terrifying to me lol.
-
Recently, got accused of playing pp head with walls. I told him I used my shockwave perfectly on him because of undying. He then said I had auto-aim because my shockwaves were literally impossible to get since apparently there are no good killers. Made my brain flood with that dopeameen and on top of the salt he let out :)

What if trapper could trap a gen? like dragons grip but when they stick their hand in they get trapped.
Not sure how that would work in-game, and it is probably not the best change. He needs just a little more than just traps or for them to actually be very threatening along with the trapper himself.
-
Well I think it will happen at the same time we have good developers who actually do good things with the game... so a very long time or never
-
I kind of hope they don't release any new cosmetics for a while on both sides. Not after this chapter going through, the last thing they need is more money.
-
= loop, m1 on a gen, loop, m1 on a gen, loop...
-
@ukenicky said:
I think it has insane potential when you spell it out this way because the regression on said gen is in fact halted.
It's a very good counter to Pop as well because the Killer will just not be able to kick the gen with their Pop proc unless they wait it out lol.
If they stay around that generator just to pop it, you could literally get as much progress as they take away from that generator on another or even more if everyone is on a gen.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
It's ok,but having to repair 60 seconds to get the effect for 30 seconds on 1 gen is pretty underwhelming.
Small game, detectives hunch and maps are waaay better against the ruin + undying meta.
Maybe, but you would only want to use this when either the killer comes to push you away from the generator or you need to save somebody off the hook. Otherwise, just keep on holding the m1 button.
I know there are other perks that help or even a rainbow map with a glass bead, but this is just one solution for people who don't have either.
-
It will happen tomorrow, unfortunately. You might wanna bring kindred for a week.
-
@BlackRabies said:
It can be really good vs ruin and very good vs Pop if you know the killer has it. If by some chance they don't have Ruin or Pop then it's pretty much a dead perk you can't really get any value.
As survivor I never seen anyone else use it and only seen it maybe once as killer had neither Pop or Ruin so it can be a waste. IDK no one uses it.
I have seen a few people use it. But they blocked survivors from doing it and not the killer lol. I agree that it is a dead perk if you don't have a killer with ruin or pop, but at the high ranks that is not really the case. I still think the perk is weak, but really strong against a now-common killer perk build.
-
Yeah, Trapper is a pretty weak killer. Some buffs should be to have the trapper sack base kit, disable the dead hard through trap BS, make it take much longer to help someone escape from a trap, give the trapped survivor the deep wound effect after escaping only by themselves, and disable maps to let survivors see the traps. I got these ideas from not otzdarva's video on how to buff the trapper, but even with these buffs that is still not enough to make him better than a c tier. Remember that survivors can just disable your traps. When playing solo queue, I personally take over being the designated trap disabler. It is pretty effective.
Oh yes and OoO needs a nerf, it is BS. The devs' excuse for not touching it is that it is "very thematic" and fitting with the Halloween lore. Ridiculous, also they completely ignore DS.
-
I feel like ruin + surveillance even without undying gives you better and more information than oppression.
-
BBQ or thrilling tremors
brutal strength
pop
devour hope (can be replaced with sloppy)
-
Clearly, you are still new and just got unlucky with the trash "mmr" system we currently have. It becomes more manageable with experience, don't give up on this game just yet.
-
Because you can immediately get rid of 20 seconds worth of progress on a generator and then some if survivors take their time to come back for it. Ruin could work in place of it, but you can cleanse and lose ruin. I am assuming you are talking about the best one that is by itself.
I would say CI is the best, but survivors can wait it out. Even then, this perk is also amazing.
-
Yea, I think it would be more fun.
-
Nurse, blight, hag, spirit, oni, freddy, a good huntress, bubba, billy, deathslinger, pyramid head.
The better ones without addons are hag, spirit, nurse, oni, and freddy.
The top 3(in terms of using no addons): Nurse, spirit, freddy.
Nurse because her power is literally OP. Not complaining though.
Spirit because her power is super strong and addons push her closer to the top.
Freddy because he just has a lot in his base kit.

They usually say things like "KILLER OP" or "TUNNELING OP" orr "FLASHLigHTs OP" then proceed to tell you how you are part of the problem when you say something like "Why are you making such a big deal out of it, just leave."

This is a classic mistake by survivors. They think you haven't seen them because killer's POV is much smaller.
Best thing you can do is approach them from a weird angle while looking in a slightly different direction so they don't know you've noticed. If you beeline straight for them it tips them off that the jig is up.
Not even running straight at them works sometimes, the megs with SB away...but the jakes, clauds, and dweets just sit there... lmao it is just really funny to see

You remember that one time you laughed because you clearly saw someone just crouching there
But you never realise the 100 of times they laughed as you missed them standing still in the open
Our eyes are adept at seeing movement. Sitting perfectly still when the killer is doing other stuff more often then not works
Not when I can see the top of their head lol

I imagine it's because sometimes you didn't see them
With the rise of TTV Names with crossplay being implemented (so I play a lot more PC players who put that stuff in their name), it's amazing how many games I'll watch from their viewpoint and realize that I walked right by them.
Sure, when you see them, they look like idiots as you walk up to them and give them a smack but I imagine they think you look like an idiot every time you walk so close to them that they could have goosed you with their flashlight :D
But it is very obvious when I do. I am literally staring at them behind the tree and they just sit there lol. I know for a fact that they can see me.

He already has an addon for it. Besides, I never use it because Exhaustion debuff is pretty niche. It pretty much only counters Dead Hard (which 50% of tryhard survivors use), Lithe (no one except babies use), and Balanced Landing (no one except rank 20 Neas use). Sprint Burst is the only truly threatening Exhaustion perk, and it does nothing against good players who use it.
BL is pretty bad when they all bring it after using a Haddonfield offering.
-
This is literally me when I get destroyed by a SWF team who is carried by their perks.
I wish they would do the same, but no all I get are death threats and salt with a side of salt mixed with salt for that salty taste of salt.

Does he actually need a buff? personally i think its enough with his actual bottles, they slow you down and with that is a ez hit, but idk what you think?

Well, not to be rude but he is literally the worst killer in the game. All you do is pre-throw pallets that are semi-safe and you have just completely countered him. He has no lethality at bases like billy or huntress, or anyone else for that matter. Any decent killer can wreck low-rank potato survivors but will win very few times at the higher ranks. Unless you use the meta ruin + undying, but he is still the worst killer in a game.
-
Buffing him it seems, no one knows just yet.
-
Rank means little to me. All it does is let me know how long someone has played this game, so I know that they have a decent amount of experience. However, you'd say otherwise if you saw how they play sometimes...
-
He forgot to uncloak it

This is a whine too

As I said before, SWF already gets that perk for free lol. So how is it fair for them to have it as a free 5th perk slot but not solo queue players? Yes, you might think it is a lazy fix, I might think that as well, however, I think it is a necessary fix to the problem. I might not think base kit Kindred should reveal the survivor's aura, just the killer's aura if they are close to the hook.
At least right now, I agree that it should not show the killer's aura to survivors since there are one too many weaker killers for the most part. This way everyone gets still gets a good amount of information without making it a little harder for the killer. This I would be fine with, but I would be fine with both honestly. There should still be some sort of creative fix though. But yes, I would be fine with this if it means there is a slightly higher chance of the Claudette in a corner coming to help me.

More fun then just standing there and waiting till some survivor actualy does try to play the game and go for an unhook I say.
Would be good if bots get introduced to the game and campers can just play with those.
"Camping and tunneling is a way to win this game."
You are not winning, you are not even playing the game, you are just taking candy from a baby and accomplishing nothing in the progress.
I have to wonder about the mindset of a person who is willing to do that all day....like....what is the point even? might as well watch paint dry.
"Playing the way that survivors have fun means losing the game if you aren't a few times better than them at performing in your role"
And you will never get better by camping/tunneling, properly learn to play.......
Sorry for even trying to tunnel or camp just a little bit to get the hand over the opposing team especially in a game where the odds are against you?
I am not saying I tunnel the hell out of every survivor, or really hardcore camp them either. But the reason killers do it is (and no, not because they are bad most of the time at high ranks) because it is one of the few ways they can actually get kills sometimes. They are playing the game to win, same as you. That is like saying looping and gen rushing is "...not even playing the game...". For example, tunneling and gen rushing is working on your only objective so they are very similar. For survivors, they just hold m1, easy. For killers, they chase down the same survivor (i.e tunneling; working on their only objective) to get a kill early or only a little bit in the whole game to slug them and get some pressure.
-
I feel like making kindred base kit is a lazy fix, or not the best one. I honestly feel like having kindred base kit is a bit too strong. I say this because kindred not only lets you see everyone, but it also lets you see the killer and can be increased in range with open handed. Now, I know that a coordinated SWF team on comms can pretty much have the same effect, but just immediately having the ability to have everyone see everyone (except for the killer unless they have BBQ) is incredibly powerful in solo queue. It would mean that every save would be coordinated or a good save, can you imagine this as a killer? I have experienced this as killer and it makes me feel like I am going against a SWF, but this could be good since most people don't play as well as normal without kindred. With kindred, it really does make a difference and I can see why people want it to be base kit. However, I still feel like the game needs to be more favorable to the killer before we consider giving survivors a fifth perk slot for free.
I wouldn't be aggravated if this was added into the game, but I just feel like there is a better fix to this. Maybe this could be another test for BHVR to do? Pfft, what am I saying, they would never do that.

Because it is a big thing, moris are a huge part of unbalanced things in the game.

Plot twist: the other survivors were actually all red ranks slumming it on alts to "apply what they'd learned" or whatever too
😋
Hmmm, well the Feng I gave the key I found with plunderers to so that I could save someone from a cage of atonement just left us both. So I don't think they were red ranks lol. (I still got the hatch tho)
-
So because certain killers are chosen more often than others means survivors should have the same kind of thing? I think there is too much work and things will need to be rebalanced if this is the case.
-
Steve, all of his perks are too situational and have a very meh reward or just a bad effect in general.
-
Sorry for going for the 4k? Usually, I only do it if I have whispers or know where the other person is. I will admit that doing it when you don't know where the last guy is at is lame.
-
*Most killers are bad on Haddonfield
-
I kinda agree. I have gotten wrecked a few times by even solo survivors as Freddy since they like to wake up a lot, mitigating my powers. People usually argue that he is too easy to play; it still takes skill though to learn what to do as the killer, just not really Freddy himself. He is definitely not OP, Nurse is the only OP killer besides Spirit I guess. Usually, I get salt saying "trash killer has to play Freddy to win" or something along the lines of that when the survivors made a few bad plays such as SAVING IN FRONT OF ME WHILE ASLEEP.

Could have sworn midwich and grim pantry were survivor sided.
-
They are pretty busted. Especially against good survivors who purposely rank down to bully newer killers and get 4 man escapes in front of them. They need a nerf, and they need it soon.
-
Didn't happen to me at all when I was playing on someone else's account. Gens were actually being done. 3 were done in about 6 minutes which is good for low ranking survivors.
