Please, for the love of god don't keep the soon-to-be non-exclusives given out in Ch. 14 as ultra-rare. May not seem like a big deal to some but if they are being distributed to EVERYONE who owns the game at ANY time it makes no sense for them to keep any form of rarity. They will be, unarguably, the most common cosmetics in the entire game next to the year 1 anniversary ones given out under similar pretenses.

Please change the status to common, or at very least, uncommon. These cosmetics will be dirt-common holding no rarity or value whatsoever.

Just let people have an ultra rare and move on.

Also assuming they are going to go into their own categories the event cosmetics will be considered event.

And the other exclusives will go on the ultra rare.

In their defense, most of the Survivors are intentionally one-dimensional, in line with the various Final Girls they're all (and yes, I mean the men too) based on.

    Lore wise

Min, Jane and Meg are the only ones who really go through hardships that affect their personality

Nea is just your rebellious bad girl

Kate is the good wholesome girl

    Claudette is the shy one

Outside of these they don't really change in their original backstories hopefully the archives fix this like it's been doing for Claudette

Not too long ago, I let the last survivor crawl to the hatch, only to close it in their face... My reward... An adrenaline, followed by a key escape, lol

    I had a similar situation.

A downed a Nea relatively close to the Hatch she was really overzealous about completing the last generator in my face so I assumed that she had adrenaline

so I shook my head at her and picked her up even the hatch open no adrenaline key escape for her then proceeded to start nodding as I was taking her to a hook however in my stupidity and because I was nodding so much I didn't know that I was stepping right on my trap.

Unsurprisingly the Nea ran to hatch stood on top of it and made sure I got the full butt dance experience.

I literally had to hit her down so she would jump through it.

It's safe to say that I complete leave deserved it.

Or the time I was butt dancing a Freddy at exit Gate who got completely gen rushed and in my stupidity I didn't realise that he had taken the time to to sandwich himself between me and the actual exit I got hooked and repeatedly for it.

  • The reason why you're allowed to see what they survive or has it so you could somewhat adept your build around it.

Four flashlights you might run lightborn or Franklin's demise same thing if you notice a bunch of medkits or various items.

As a killer lightborn is so meh and situational literally there's not much point in running it as a general part of your perk build. Hell I wouldn't equip the Perk unless I actively know that there is more than 2 people with flashlights

  • @Fibijean said:

It's not extremely clear. The developers have said in the past that they disapprove of farming but won't ban for it. On the other hand, working with the killer as a survivor is a bannable offence, but I'm pretty sure that just means intentionally leading the killer to your teammates to get them killed.

My view would be that it is your prerogative as a killer to have mercy, or not, on whichever survivors you please. It's up to you who, if anyone, you want to kill or let go.

But since the official position on the topic is somewhat unclear, if a dev comes along and disagrees with me, go with whatever they say instead.

As somebody who has given mercy to survivors I have definitely gotten a couple of people accuse me of doing something bannable.

As I've always told them as long as I'm not teaming with this survivor to actively kill the team I'm going up against I'm not doing anything that's ban worthy.

Typically I'll even give them hatch or let them get the Left for Dead achievement if they haven't already got it because that achievements a pain in the ass.

Hell if the match went by quickly enough and it was complete domination I might just farm up some points with them because I definitely know they didn't make many points and I didn't make many points because the match ended so quickly.

  • Honestly though I agree he needs to slow down his pace you can take a second or two break at a full stop it's not going to destroy our immersion.

I just wish it wouldn't automatically select the story the second you go to the section as @Spooky13 said being greeted with

    "Hemovesthroughthedeathanddecayofthevoid"

Every single time I go to that section is getting annoying. Hell and he always manages to get out of that exact line because I'm nowhere near fast enough to hit pause before he says it

  • Honestly I don't mind the occasional BM I just feel like a lot of people need to realise that it might be ok to push buttons but if you're going to push someone's buttons and you end up annoying them to your detriment you really have no one to blame other than yourself.

Basically survivors if you're going to be bm the killer and they end up getting irritated so camp or tunnel you for it yeah it's probably your own fault.

Killers if you choose to be cocky and decide to BM a survivor and that ends up getting you screwed over because of a flashlight save, pallets stun or decisive strike you deserve a full hearty butt dance

But no matter what happens in a game as long as you don't personally attack a person that's all good.

  • Honestly they really need to establish a minimum and maximum spawn distance for the exit gates.

That way very close enough that they could still be reasonably patrolled but it allows a lot more mind games on the survivors part.

For example a survivor could use the lights to their advantage and bait the killer into searching one gate because they see two lights there whilst the survivor quickly moves to the other gate and has more than enough time to open it.

As it works now it's way too easy to Patrol as I kill her making it next to impossible to survive or they are so far apart that as long as the survivor basically went to the right Gate the killer has no no chance of getting them.

Both of which gives w very annoying experiences for the other party and come across there's free wins rather than a skillful escape or kill

  • While you can try to bridge the gap as close as possible you'll never going to be able to get survive with friends and solo survivors on the same level and that's simply because of effective communication.

For the most part Killers rely on mistakes that survivors make.

Now they mistakes I don't just mean they mess up at loop. I mean any sort of misplay that can buy the killer extra time.

For example leaving your generator to run half way across the map to get a save only to have someone else get the save when you're about halfway there it might not seem like a lot but that wasted time that you're not working on that generator could mean the difference between a generator getting completed or not it also means that you're now out of position and might not be in a safe area.

Survive with friends typically don't fall into these misplays. They'll will call out whether they're going for a save or not meaning of other people can effectively do gens or stay in their safe positions.

Coming from experience when I'm playing with my friends if I have Deliverance active I'll typically tell my friends to work on generators and not to waste time coming for me I'll save myself at the last second.

Top tier Killers can essentially get downs so quickly they usually don't have to rely on mistakes meaning of effective communication is a lot less vital.

You can't really change Killers like Legion or Amanda to have the same potential as nurses because you would have to increase their chase lethality but with high chase lethality along with their other advantages it will just make them oppressive

  • Doctor and Amanda or legion and Amanda

Amanda put the reverse bear traps on they get activated her partner whether it be Doctor or the legion basically wastes their time so they are unable to do boxes.

Doctor: gets you into Madness 3 literally meaning you cannot take off the trap until you snap out of it. As long as he keeps the pressure up he could force you into a situation where you be unable to snap out of it.

Legion: they literally just have to keep you mending you're forced to have two decisions if you don't mind mhen you're going down them you're just going to be picked up and hooked however if you do mend and then you're wasting time that you could use to get that RTB off.

Honorable mention for Hag as she could literally just put her traps at jigsaw boxes and smack you away if you ever try to touch it and then just block the box if you go to a different one she teleports to that one and just repeats the process

  • Slow down builds are literally just a symptom of the ridiculous speeds that games go nowadays.

Fixing the symptom but leaving the problem doesn't really help anything you just going to get a new symptom that arises.

Unless the ridiculous speed at which generators get completed is taking care of people are always going to run slow down builds

It's just that lame way of forcing people to buy the bundle for one good piece in it. What's fine about it?

If you want one piece buy one piece.

It's fine because it's how most sales and discounts work.

As I previously said I really want them to add a mix match feature with that could be discounted as well.

Until the day that gets added the concept of buying a full outfit for a discount is fine is.

It's not excellent it's not perfect it's fine

  • I have no problem with challenges that are meant to be spread over a couple matches like complete 25 gens.

I have no problem with challenges that requires you to use a specific perk like opening a certain amount of chests with plunderers instinct

I have no problem with challenges that require you to do a decent amount of things in one game for example heal people up four health states

However I have problems with challenges that require you to hope that a certain situation happens for you to even be able to attempt it.

Save two people during endgame collapse is ridiculous:

you would have to have at least three people survive until the gates are open including yourself you could do this with just one other person but it's harder.

Then you would have to hope those people go down.

Then you would have to hope that the killer doesn't defend their kills and allows you to get the save that's a safe rescue.

If it's not a safe rescue you're out of luck if someone beat you to it you're out of luck.

Any challenges that require you to hope something specific happens in the game is bad design.

Hell even with the four basement sacrifices you would have to hope that the survivors don't catch on to what you're doing and run away to the other side of the map or that they don't disconnect

Any challenges like the two I mentioned above or more that follow the same theme are just terrible

  • Bunny Min obviously

But if I want to list some other than the generic one.

    1) Beach Feng

    2) Saw 1 Amanda her skirt her fishnet stockings All That Jazz

    3) Prom Susie/ Dapper Joey

    4) cosplay Feng. Cosplaying something from her favourite video game would be great.

    5) winter coat Amanda. Basically based off hoffman's version when he's wearing a pig head but on Amanda

    6) Gothic Feng

Dbd is about customization... As in piecing together new combinations from different outfits so you dont look like everyone else

I don't have a problem with piecing together different cosmetics that's what I always do.

However from a standpoint of the consumer and seller. Selling the whole outfit with a discount is beneficial for both parties

The only quality of life I would say to the store needs is the ability for you to see how a mix-and-match outfit would look before you purchase anything.

For example let you lock the head and place without actually buying in see if it looks good with other pieces and then if you want you could just buy the whole custom set you made whether that's at a discount or not up in the air

  • @DwightOP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/875357#Comment_875357

Huh? What exactly is fine about it again? I'm kinda missing the good part for the customer.

You get the outfit at a discounted price which is better than what you would have gotten if you got all the pieces individually

  • @CashelP14 said:

I'm disappointed that you need to buy the whole outfit in order to get the discount. I personally like buying pieces of outfits and putting them together

I'm fine with the buying the whole outfit gives you a discount it's incentive to actually buy the outfit.

  • Well the most recent thing I got was the new pig outfit.

As for outfits coming up I really like the new huntress mask and sweaters for Susie and Joey.

Nothing for Min so I'm kind of sad about that but I might get some stuff for Yui

  • The game can be incredibly easy for both sides depending on the situation there's no need to have a US vs them mentality in this.

Agreed. If they fix the bugs of the stalk break mechanic I bet it would be a dramatic improvement for both sides.

I can explicitly remember a recent game where I was flat out hiding behind a short wall while injured, glanced in his direction for a second and broke his stalk, revealing my position. It was a serious ######### moment as not only was I not trying to do it, but I was behind a flipping wall.

And other times I will be standing there staring right into his sad little face and nothing happens. I don't get it.

And as GF I've had my stalk broken from like 40m away by a survivor behind a full Macmil jungle gym wall.

Like really the whole mechanic is so janky, just fix it please BHVR.

The funny thing about ghostface when you try to reveal his position the game is like nope.

When you don't want to reveal his position or you literally don't even know he's there suddenly the game is like oh you want to reveal him

oh that's what I meant I probably should have been a little bit clear I just haven't claimed the dailies yet so far the dailies have been completed once I use my on the new chapter I'll claim them

This tome's challenges promotes so many bad build, strategies, and just ways of playing this game that are unfun

Bubba insidious camping with monster shrine

trapper camping basements with 1000 traps

BT unhook in the face of the killer

    tunneling obsession for mori

    use of keys

    use of Noed

and other things such as just general tunneling and camping or even farming (I don't mind farmers but I do know that some people do)

Please BHVR remove/rework some of these challenges and rework others to be more REALISTIC

How is the use of no one escapes death unhealthy

  • I had a million bloodpoints and 3 dailies saved up even before the new archive's level got released.

However with level 3 it gives me a nice amount of time to just spend some of those bloodpoints on add-ons because I could easily make them back again in no time

  • This on another area but I'll say it again people refers to as pallet wasters Can Be The Killers best friend or the worst enemy

That solely depends on just how efficiently the others are doing generators in essence you can waste a lot of the pallets on the map but if there's one or no more generators left then escape is pretty insured.

As a killer you can't really mind game a 'pallet waster" they drop the pallet and move on when you're dealing with these people as killer you have three choices

    1) Break all the pallets and continue the chase. Whether this is effective or not is solely dependent on the other survivors on gens. However you can have perks that will cut down a lot of the work like brutal strength and the enduring Fury combo

    2) Leave the survivor be and go find different people.

    3) ignore the pallets and continue The Chase. This tends to leave you with a crap ton of pallets and you'll either have to waste time clearing them out or the other survivors can use them to their advantage

When a horror game is more sensitive then call of duty

Dude I would say the exact same thing to anybody who plays Call of Duty, Dark Souls or whatever game this happens in.

I'm not expecting anyone to be overly nice or constantly generous at least expecting people to act like decent ######### human beings.

It doesn't take any effort to be a decent human being just don't say ######### things it takes effort to be be a douche.

If you want to call someone trash or say their gameplay is shite fine but if you want to shoot out slurs you're an awful person There's a reason the toxicity of the Call of Duty fanbase became such a prominent joke.

Also if you're going to try to justify people using derogatory slurs as people need to stop being sensitive then you literally need to get a taste of reality mate.

  • My stance on this game is always that no matter how annoyed you get you should never personally attack your opponent or your teammates.

I don't care what happened to you in the game if you use a derogatory slur you basically lost all sympathy when it comes to me

  • @Oshi said:

As killer never use NOED. NOED rewards bad players You should prevent completion of five gens. People who use NOED deserved to be insulted after game.

DS same thing, but in my games DS worked only one time maximum, if i killer. All fine with DS, they just waste perk slot on it.

Or you could not insult somebody for their perk choice and actually be a decent human being

  • 1) Amanda (Pig) I'm a massive soften and she was the first killer I ever got to prestige 3 and got all the perks on. Also I'm a massive so fan and Amanda is my favourite character in saw franchise

    2) Legion: I love the theme of edgy teenagers and even though they probably one of the worst Killers it's still fun to go play then I'm not exactly a meta hooper

    3) Demi Logorgon: it's an adorable creature with adorable mouth Weebles also every time I hit a survivor it "Reeeeeee" at them

As for Survivor Feng Min all the way and then possibly considering Yui my secondary Survivor ( it used to be Claudette but she'll probably get replaced)

Feeling cute might bm that Nea later

  • This 1000 x over

Find it really annoying lining up a really nice ambush on Nea only for auto aim to decide that Amanda really hates the tree ( one can only assume it's because paper comes from trees, letters come from paper so it just reminded her of hoffman's blackmail letter) now instead of getting the butt dancing flashlight clicking Nea, Amanda decides to punish a tree for existing

  • Don't worry there's only like two Quentin mains out there so no one is going to really care

  • Feng Min is definitely my favourite survivor one.

I also really love the look of Joey and Susie's so I'm definitely going to get them

  • This has been a very common problem but as for now just wait until the next chapter hits all the exclusives are going to be released for everybody.

So you'll get your pro-pain hammer back and a lot more

  • @Ramxenoc445 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/864951#Comment_864951

Yeah so either way depending on the map the legion is winning this.

It depends pallet wasters as I like to call them. ( this ranges from people who camp the pallet and don't loop or people who dropped every single pallet they come across early)

These types of people can typically be a Killers best friend or worst enemy.

It all depends on how quickly their team are working on gens one thing people tend to forget is that you can't really mind game a pallet waster. So if their teammates are powering through gen effectively you always waste a lot of time just breaking pallets.

And yes there are less pallets later on but that doesn't really matter when the exit gates are powered

  • I feel like a better give away that someone has no one escapes death he said they're not too concerned with generators.

They'll usually not kick generators even if they are close to completion and they have the time.

Another thing they will often do is not really patrol generators. Basically if somebody gets unhooked they'll usually go straight back to the hook rather than focusing on people doing gens.

Most people who use no one escapes death (I mean actually use it not just have it to cover up a bad play) tend to want the generators to be completed especially if they're running an endgame build because if the it doesn't hit endgame the whole setup kind of a waste

  • I really want the mask for trapper I don't play meg I don't think we care about that but definitely want the Trapper mask

  • @Lmronby said:

Hypothetically, if the killers had a favorite song, soundtrack, melody, or tune; what would belong to each?

Legion obviously some scraping Metal, Clown Maybe something with large air-instruments? I honestly picture the Trapper liking something soft or classical, but with distortions

Surprisingly enough each member of the Legion seems to like slightly different music.

Julie - depressing mix tape made out from mainly power ballads and gloomy melodies. Emotional rock songs

Susie- A fast and thrilling mix tape with energising songs with break-neck beats. Most likely hip hop pop Punk

Joey- A mix of bangin' tracks and slammin' beats. this is most likely your metal hip hop

Frank- massive distortions and loud percussion - probably screamo or metal

Fuming mixtape- most likely a product of The Entity so I wouldn't know it's most likely not a product that the Legion members would listen to regularly

Edit: considering the language in the description of Joey's mixtape it's most likely that Joey listens to hip hop and Suzie most likely it's pop punk

  • The only one we know at least has any validity towards it is nurse and wraith who seems to be vaguely an item.

I would assume that Legion probably wouldn't get along with anyone besides each other. I can probably see them getting along vaguely with Rin or Amanda

Myers is Myers. I feel like if they were to interact he would more tolerate the other Killer's existences not really enjoy it. Also considering his rap history with teenagers I doubt he'll be very fond of the any members of the Legion.

Demi Logorgon literally wouldn't care about the other Killer's it just probably has strict instructions from the Entity just not to attack them.

Amanda considering how she treated Daniel even if it was part of her job being there yeah I feel like she did be rather friendly towards the legion. Not so much anyone else.

Ghostface probably get along the best with Freddy ( considering it's the remake not the wacky Robert England version they may not be as close as they would be)

Spirit might get along with the Legion considering all of them are the youngest of all The Killers. The Legion begin their mid to late teens and Rin most likely being in her late teens and early 20s. Oni would probably get along well with Rin purely on the basis of family.

Nurse I have already mentioned but I probably could see her getting on with most of the other Killers. But due to her experience in the asylum I doubt she'd like people like Herman, Clown or ghostface essentially overly sadistic people

Huntress honestly the only ones I could see her liking is Julie and Susie them being young girls in her mind.

Oni besides Rin he would probably see everyone else's beneath him and not true Killers especially the like of the Legion and overly playful styles of ghostface

Hag seems to be very neutral with everybody I can't find something that she hate with other people or people hate with her. May be due to the cannibalistic nature she might be uncomfortable around Bubba that's it

Wraith and Trapper I can't judge these two without thinking of the Samination versions so I'll leave that to someone else

Hillbilly and Bubba would probably get along pretty well both disfigured both with very terrible families even though Bubba does like his family unlike Billy with his

Freddy as I said him being the remake version kind of limits things. His more playful in campy older version would have been friends with a lot more people especially ghostface and Legion but I could still see some common interests with ghostface however

Herman the only person I could see him getting along with is clown even though he's sadistic I feel like he'd find ghostface's mannerisms annoying

Clown he would probably get along with the sadistic crowd so doctor, ghostface and Freddy. Due to her brief bit of compassion I feel like you'd find the nurse annoying

  • @Ramxenoc445 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/864384#Comment_864384

thats true but i can easily just let myself get stunned if the payout is that huge and if they dont drop the pallet i get a hit or down and if they drop it early its just wasting a pallet to get a little distance but it'll really depend on the part of the map and the situation. Though right now seems like its not going to be good for survivors

Dropping a pallet early pretty much waste about 5 seconds or so of potential looping time while it can add up it's not exactly game breaking

  • The meta is very do gens heavy which means totems tend to get ignored.

Also it's a lot easier to hate on a perk or the person using a perk than to admit that you made a mistake in not cleansing totems

  • @DuckApproved said:

    Freddy-

Freddy has no counter-play for any of his powers. You cannot interact with any of his powers in order to give Survivors a way to counter his abilities. When Freddy uses his dream snares he has no cool down or slowdown when putting them down. This almost always guarantees a free hit or down when trying to loop him. Also if you choose o disable the snares he gets a notification and can put them down again immediately. Then with his Dream Pallets, survivors can put them down, although similar to his snares he can put them back up almost immediately. While as a survivor you can remember where real pallets are, this is a unrealistic expectation for an entire team to do. Ways to provide counter play for survivors would be to give a cool down on his abilities for 20 seconds for each use. Also for his teleport make to so he has to commit to teleporting it and can't cancel it, giving survivors more options for counter-play. Another option for counter-play would be taking out the timer for the dream state and make Freddy have to manually put survivors into it. This would give survivors ways to counter his Swing Chains add-ons. Also a small quality of life change would be when survivors are put into the dream state and miss skill checks to wake themselves up, Freddy doesn't gain a notification, this would give survivor play styles more options for counter-play while still punishing them for failing.

    Ghostface-

Ghostface and his Night Shroud ability is one of the best stealth abilities in the game, with no down sides. He has power creeped almost every other stealth killer in the game. He also has no down side when being broken out of his ability. Also with the broken reveal mechanic with his power when he leans around a corner makes him uncounterable. Ways to give survivors a counter to his power would be to make the reveal mechanic actually work when a survivor looks at him. Also since he has no warning before he strikes unlike Wraith they should either give Ghostface a warning sound or something before he attacks or give him 110% movement speed. Also another quality of life change would to give his addons that give his power a faster recharge rate a slight nerf.

Survivors do have a counter to swing chains it's called waking up

  • @Atrushan88 said:

I don't, but at the same time it's pretty much a death sentence with the EGC + a bear trap on your head anyways. One or the other is gonna get you unless the other survivors get the hell out and let you get hatch.

Speaking of hiding in lockers vs Legion. I actually had someone do this while the Legion had FF and hit a survivor, I had Head On and was gonna stun him, so I tried to open a locker before he got close enough and a Meg was in the locker, lol. She bitched me out when she got found and said that I intentionally tried to sell her out. Because I somehow knew she was in the locker I was gonna try to Head On stun the Legion with in an area where all the generators were completed without Bond.

Unless the pig is super Patrol jigsaw boxes and nobody else is down or hooked you roughly have about 2 minutes to get the trap off.

I typically play solo survivor with a lone wolf playstyle but for the most part I won't open an exit gate if someone has an active trap on.

  • Decisive strike can be very easily abused even if the killer in question isn't tunneling.

The survivor could use the fact that for a minute essentially safe from being picked up to do a lot of things complete generators, do hex totems or hook saves.

If you've ever played killer I think you've run into a least one instance where a healthy Survivor is working on a close to complete a generator they take a hit when you lunge at them and they go back and tap the generator to complete it.

I know most people will panic upon seeing a generator at 98 and we'll just immediately swing to stop the survivor from working on it hence the tapping.

Some Killers will take the risk to get a little bit closer and grab the survivor however if they survivor had 20 seconds left on decisive strike you can basically eat a steaming load because you're going to get hit with that and they're going to pop the gen. Basically same thing goes with breaking totem

As for hook saves you see someone rushing in for the save you down the saviour either before or after they get the save only to get decisive strike when you literally didn't tunnel the person who just got off the hook.

Compare this to head on due to the perk requiring a locker and a three second activation limit, it is nowhere near as abusable as decisive strike.

You won't usually see a very coordinated effort when it comes to do using the perk unless it's to survive with friends group. (I'm talking about those annoying instances where survivor A will lead you to survivor B's locker so you can get head on stunned and this process will repeat for survivor C and D) very aggravating so it's often something you won't have to worry about.

The perk can be used as a solo survivor but it essentially requires you to have a lot of planning and luck on your side.

Tl;dr you can't abuse head on as reliably as decisive strike

the cosmetic was originaly suposed to be a backer only item, but then they changed it for some stupid reason. If they make it free for everyone now.. i waisted $40.

If it got changed anyway why does it matter

Yeah but staying injured allows him to build up his power as well as track you easier. Glowing blood orb auras and such

Well tracking is a problem with the power game he gets from sucking up blood is nowhere near as prevalent hitting healthy people.

It's kind of like plague in a way being at Max sickness allows her to have some extra tracking tools but in the long run it's a lot better than giving her corrupt Purge
