Closing the gap require an ideal balance margarine.
You would have to have a set state that you don't want to bring solo survivors to which has to be as close as possible to survive with friends and then you balance everything around that.
Once you find out margin you can balance Killers around it maps and so on.
As much as I'd love behaviour they tend to not really go for the best amount of fixes. A lot of their fixes tend to be very Band-Aid.
Games are going too quick people ask for secondary objectives so it's not as boring as increasing the generator time and serves the purpose of allowing Killers more time to actually play an allows survivors more interesting things to do.
Instead we got a push to the anti heal meta healing was used as a band Aid secondary objectives. Healing times were increased sloppy butcher was buff however because they didn't fix the core problem the Band-Aid fix became overused so the introduced more more counters to anti-heal
Waste time healing use
Inner strength
Adrenaline
Solidarity
Second Wind
Botany knowledge
Is created a massive problem the strategy they told Killers to do to slow down the game was no longer viable because there was so many different options or people just wouldn't heal and just gens.
Then slow down those that really affected generators became a thing it wasn't fun to go up against and it wasn't fun to run but kill is ran it because it gave them time.
Once again Band-Aid fixes became too prevalent ruin was used everywhere so instead of fixing that issue they fixed the band aid.
The ruin change meant that a lot of slow Killers, Killers who lacked map pressure or setup Killers were more punished for the time that their playstyle wasted.
On the spectrum survivors a lot of things introduced that were heavily in balanced
MoM came out and was a very strong perk however it was very imbalanced when the vast majority of The Killers couldn't counter it and it was so easy to get.
When it was changed it became so ridiculously difficult to get for its benefit and it was pointless.
One problem I often notice when the devs are talking is that they don't seem to pick a place where they want to actually balance they seemed to fluctuate between them.
They want to make the game with very easy for new players so it's a lot more casual and not frustrating for people who aren't skilled.
However when people tend to bring up certain issues whether it be on the survivor and or the killer end it's usually met with insert x streamer could do this very easily so it's not really a problem. However these people tend to be in the top 1%
This issue between switching between balancing for Casuals and keeping the top 1% in mind tends to make the game very awkward of how it works.
Tl;dr if they want any help of balancing the game effectively and making it fair for Killers solo survivors and survival with friends they need to pick a margin they want to balance at and remain at that margin for everybody.

Susie before joining the Gang was your typical nerdy punk loving she paid more attention to her studies then anything else and would really hang around with anybody besides Julie.
Her and Julie being childhood friends who go way back people at school are considered weird they will even hang out with each other considering how different their personalities and interests were.
Julie be a popular pretty girl who would always invite people to parties whose family was relatively rich and influential.
Susie being your nerdy bookworm who dabbled in punk styles that she found interesting for example dying her hair and chokers. Coming from a very poor and neglectful background she always personally despised seeing people being all family friendly when she never had that which is Christmas was one of the worst times for her
Despite this they always remained the best of friends Julie typically dragging Susie to parties so she can be more social and I'm going and Susie usually studying with Julie and kind of being her wake up call to focus on school.

Hillbilly can't turn while dashing. Oni can't turn well. Blinking is a different animal entirely.
Turning really isn't the problem these powers could be used as a much more efficient traversing tool than frenzy however unlike frenzy they can be extremely lethal
Phase walking - moves faster than frenzy allows you to see scratch marks or (blood stains with an add-on) while still having a lot of control and lethality.
Chainsaw sprint- best mobility tool in the game insta down, fast speeds, even without the turning capabilities you could still easily see scratch marks and blood stains then just stop your charge and pursue. No timer or limits
Oni's dash- pretty much the exact same as Billy however has a timer and charge meter.
Blink- extreme lethal can bypass most offences and you could still see scratch marks wherever you go.
Frenzy- slowest of all traversal methods, non-lethal. Has a time limit and recharge time, reduced visibility upon cancellation, no tracking tools whatsoever besides killer instinct.
I don't get how those are meant to compare
Legion has the least deadliest out of all 5.
Also they are never able to down with it. ( even when using a build specifically designed it's incredibly inefficient compared to just normally hitting)
They already received visual hindrance effect when their ability is cancelled out
They have absolutely no tracking capabilities outside killer instinct.
So in the end honestly what's the point.

Oh no you're not going to be able to run out incredibly safe God loop anymore

If both sides deserve an equal opportunity to win, how is slugging for the 4k supporting that?
It's circumventing the odds for the survivor to find the hatch and stacking the deck in the killer's favor
Isn't this all the hypocritical statement you're saying that kills shouldn't feel entitled to getting 4 kills
With slugging they're basically maximizing their chances but instead you want survivors to have an increased chance of surviving even though they essentially lost.
Essentially what you're saying is good job Killers you did well but now you should have a more difficult time and survivors you did bad have a more easier time.
However when the inverse is true and the killers in A losing situation is very little they could do to maximize their chances without there being a three gen strategy

Make her not able to tunnel as hard as leatherface is able to camp.
Maybe rework the boxes or lean away from RNG key/boxes.....
That's all I would ever want from pig changes, beyond that you can buff her all you want.
The boxes really aren't is RNG as people think.
The only amount of rng happens in the beginning of the match after that point. It's just pure probability and Survivor luck.
Also when you say tunnel, please tell me you're not one of the people who automatically consider a pig so much as glancing in someone with a reverse bear traps direction as tunneling.

Well in all honesty it doesn't matter what they are playing killer or survivor. You shouldn't need a perk.
However certain perks just allow you to play a lot more freely as you don't have to go over board and you can actually just have some casual fun.
As much as I dislike people who abuse decisive strike. It does allow them to play a lot more freely and more relaxed for 60 seconds.
I've always thought the whole notion of if you use x perk. (Insert No one escapes death, decisive strike or whatever controversial perk people want a bash With this particular day.) You're automatically a less skilled player is completely stupid.
-
Honestly, I agree with this. I have instances especially in the Cornfield start because apparently the game registered a Claudette pixel in the distance.
I'm sitting here wondering whether hell the game managed to find someone as I can't see any scratch marks or any indication that people are around.
Game: hey, I found a survivor, time to initiate Chase.
Me: Hey game, I'd love to, only downside is I'd love to find this mystical survivor myself because from my point of view all I can see is corn

Feng MinGothic outfit.
Cosplay of her favourite video game character.
Outfit from when she was in school.
Bunny/Kawaii Min
I'd like another Chinese dress for her.
Punk or rebel look. Leather jacket maybe fishnet something like that.
AmandaSaw 1 outfit. Her skirt and fishnet outfit
Outfit based off hoffman's Pig ( so far we have two outfits based off what Amanda has worn and one kind of based on Daniel Rigg)
I know It's unlikely because they have to keep it within the Pig theme but unmask would be great.
LegionProm Susie
Unmasked
School outfits
Animal themed masks
Rabbit Susie/Julie ( something similar to Donnie Darko)
Wolf Frank ( Would fit the whole pack leader thing)
Bird Julie/Susie If anybody would say a raven or crow.
Spider Joey (With Joey would make sense to go something edgy and creepy.)

Why should someone play a game they don't like? Also note: "if", it's a word with actual meaning at times.
Because you can have frustration with a game or certain elements of that game but not hate the game enough to stop playing it.
I find it annoying when people forget that Line of Sight is a thing for healers in overwatch. Doesn't mean I'm not going to play the game but I will still address my grievance with it.
What you're doing literally add nothing to the discussion and is about as useful as the criticism you don't like a game because you're not good at it.

Stealth gameplay is intended, and don't play killer if you don't like hide and seek.
Never said I didn't like stealth gameplay.
If you actually like to jump off that high horse of yours and talk without being condescending maybe I could have explained that to you.
In essence a lot of gameplay styles are intended doesn't mean people cannot find them annoying.
Slugging is an intended feature. However, if somebody found it annoying. Spouting off don't play survivor if you don't like it is probably the most idiotic thing you could ever do.
Hope this message reaches you from your high horse and hope when you eventually fall down from it. It doesn't hurt too much.

whats bad about legitimate stealth lmao
The problem with stealth gameplay on the survivors part is about the same problem as slow down gameplay when it comes to generators.
When a killer is running a hardcore slow down build. It is not fun to sit on a generator for a good solid. 3 minutes to get it to work.
The same way, it's not fun for a killer to spend a good 3 minutes just walking around the map hoping to Dende that they get lucky enough to bump into the blendette
-
@thrawn3054 said:
This is a terrible idea. He literally wants to force survivors to run at the killer. Stealth play is already not rewarded as it is. His idea would actively punish it.
The idea is not intended to have people. Run at the Killer.
He simply mention that as a method to counteract it.
Point of this is mainly to allow a lot of setup Killers to get ready or not have two gens pop out the killers in the process of finding somebody.
That way it's more down to the survivors skill vs. The killer skill on how The game goes because two gens don't get pop before the killer can get any more momentum.
Is it the best system not really? But it's probably the best suggestion I've heard and it's a lot better than the current system we have

His backstory in general is proof.
We know that Jeff was around to at least do the Legion tag in Mount Ormond However after that There are clearly multiple events that happened in his life spanning a few years.
The incident with Frank and the others most likely happened a couple of months after the mural was completed.
Meaning the Legion members are between 16 to 19 when they are taken.
And Jeff was taken. Most likely in his early to mid 30s.

Agree with this statement the amount of times I've seen survivors with reverse bear trap doing generators makes it feel like it's not stalling out the game at all.

Whether the perk is considered a crutch or not is irrelevant use whatever you want to.
In an idealistic world no one would judge you on whatever perks you running but sadly we're not in an idealistic world and people judge you based on anything they can.
It's the main reason why people tend to throw out camping and tunneling in situations where it wasn't there it's easier to blame someone else than yourself.

The fix to noed is to add a totem counter.
You can also notify the exposed status effect when it activates, but that's kinda inconsistent in the way bhvr codes that stuff into the game, despite their purported fixation on consistency. Haunted grounds warns you before anyone's hit, for example. Devour and Noed don't until after. And that's hexes alone, let's not even go over rancor/myc/iron maiden.
I think the point is that no one escapes death/ devour hope I meant to remain hidden and be a surprise. Devour hope is meant to build up and no one escapes death is meant to be a surprise punishment for those who haven't cleansed totems informing the survivors before would be a massive waste
Haunted grounds is meant to be a you messed up by cleansing the totem now everybody go on immersed before you get the downed

You can hear more than her mumbled version you just have to hope she doesn't find somebody for a good 3 minutes so the track doesn't reset
-
@kreeper124 said:
For the most part I like it. But don't you think the exposed effect when breaking haunted ground is enough punishment?
I was cautious about hunting grounds because in itself haunted ground is already a Band-Aid fix resembling this idea so it doesn't really need much added to it so the only thing I really had it was a synergizing bonus.
You break hunting grounds not only do you expose everybody but you also reveal your aura to the Killer for 4 to 5 seconds and then again your order is revealed for another 4 to 5 seconds when the exposure effect of Hunting Ground is halfway done.
Basically meant to mean that you're not able to do the go immersed when haunted grounds procs

Theres no way I can get "3rd year party starter" again that's for sure and some offerings that were removed but I don't mind losing offerings.
If you have a friend that you could trust or you need a reliable person on here you could always just trade them of the items in a trial prestige your character than have them trade the back to you.
White wards are a great way to do this as they don't actually protect the item that you brought into the trial with you but they protect whenever is in your hand currently.
This means if you bring a special event item and have somebody use white wards they can guarantee that they can keep them safe if they die and then when you're ready to receive it back just bringing a white Ward so you don't lose it
-
I guess I'm ok with it we were going to get to this section eventually.
After they finished with the four original and then maybe squeezed in last breath and lullaby which were free chapters as well you would then be only left with paid DLC chapters.
We were essentially going to hit this pitfall sooner or later so I guess it's better that they're just putting in the characters they prefer or currently have Tome and Rift ideas for rather than trying to force things out of their ass to get all the free ones out first which would make the stories sound very terrible and not worth the effort
-
Most people just don't find blink gameplay enjoyable I myself main
1) Pig
2) Legion
3) Demo

Camping hatch like that is a really scumbag move though. It removes all possible escape chances the survivor has. And camping in general is a d**k move. So i will agree that people with your play style do actually ruin the game for others. No one likes camping it's super boring. For killer and survivor.
I didn't camp the Hatch we were both running to it. I frenzied there and stood over it so they couldn't jump in and then closed it.
Camping was never brought up one so I have no clue where you got that from.
Imagine being so one-sided that you literally make a scenario in your head with no proof whatsoever and then get offended by it.

Not counting the Rift which specific survivor theme and Cosmetics are 100% from their backstory so are canon.
I'm not talking about general cosmetics that pop up in the Rift and talking about outfits that are about the tomed centred characters
Default and alternative cosmetics are also considered canon. For example both Min's Laser bear outfit and her day off outfit are both canon.
Event cosmetics for the most part do seem to be cannon things like the lunar New Year the Halloween event is a little bit more debatable due to how not knowing 100-percent how the blight works.
We do know that not counting gameplay reasonings (player choice) in the lore there is only one of each survivor and killer with the exception of the Legion because they are literally four individual people going under gang title ( but even in that case there is only one Joey, Susie, Julie and Frank)
This makes the blight cosmetics very hard to pin down as the outright mutate The Killers but no ways the killers still retain their basics looks. So it's possible that for blight mutations disappeared when the flowers do and come back when the flowers return.
This would explain how both a mutated version can exist whilst The Killers can still retain their base looks.
Store cosmetics are a little harder to pin down.
There seems to be free different types of cosmetics.
Memory-based- visa once directly pulled from the survivors memories and are most likely canon. Feng's tournament outfit and Meg's tennis outfit both definitely seems to be pulled from their past.
Creative liberties- outfits that seem to be relatively pulled from the past but also seem to have some creative liberties by the hand of The Entity or whoever makes the cosmetics. This could be the explanation why there are alternate colour/style variance for the same outfits. All of Feng's geek chic outfits. It's possible one variation could be canon while the others are creative liberties or they can all be canon.
Pure aesthetic- these are outfits that are clearly not canonical but they just look nice or intimidating-for example Sea Monster Trapper or The Candle Wraith
-
Honestly unless the killer is running rancour or remember me you really don't have to worry about being The Obsession
Most of the other perks requires the killer to at least somewhat keep you alive because they either will lose the power they gained or being too aggressive with you will reduce the power they gained.
I guess you can make an argument for Nemesis but outside of a couple select and niche builds I don't really see nemesis as a massive threat.
Outside of that there are about 2 add-ons and actually make an impact if you're The Obsession both of which don't get used very often outside of niche builds.
So in the grand scheme of things in about 96% of your matches being The Obsession literally means nothing
-
Honestly since frenzy is no longer fatal and there is almost no way to cheese deep wounds.
I don't see why they couldn't revert the missed swing changes as you mentioned they probably shouldn't touch the frenzy uses without a full bar until Franks mixtape gets completely reworked.
I mean the whole point of frenzy is that they're meant to be coming at you like wild animals vaulting over anything in their path and swinging like crazy.
What we currently have right now seems a little bit too controlled to be a "feral frenzy"

We don't know that it's kills. According to their lore, they did a lot of minor crimes like vandalism and theft before the whole janitor incident, largely inspired by Frank. Those tallies could simply be for successful crimes pulled off. Perhaps they had some sort of competition going.
Although, that illustration was most likely created before the lore was written, since the names on the wall don't quite match up with their names in the lore and so may have been the names for earlier iterations of the characters.
The name on the board are their nicknames.
Even the lore and item description itself tends to bounce between calling them their actual names and nicknames
Joey and Julie being the ones that get swapped around frequently

Legion’s lore is all messed up to be fair, I really want the tome lll to be about legion. I like their base lore but when you get into the outfits and even the leaser picture it’s just all over the place.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/614/J9WQHUF35DYX.jpeg
If you notice, there’s numbers on the walls which i’m gonna guess is kills. So why did the group act so surprised over Frank if they’ve done this before? You could say “it’s kills after the janitor” but right after they killed the janitor they went to burry him and ended up in the entity. Still an interesting thought though!
The picture is most definitely after the entity's realm.
A lot of people tend to forget that the Legion is not one being they're four individual teenagers.
So it's most likely that they keeping their traditions of tallies but instead of dares like they used to before The Entity it's now kills.
Granted there was a lot of misinterpretation around that picture because as a community we do like jumping to conclusions

Amanda was a KILLER. Kramer wasn't. She created rigged games that would kill people off, and she was way easier to manipulate than Kramer. It's as you said, John NEVER killed anyone. Even his first test subject, Cecil, literally broke the device he was in and went to attack John, so sidestepped and let Cecil fall into a thing of razor wire. It was Cecil's CHOICE to stupidly attack John.
Kramer gave them the tools to escape. Amanda didn't.
There's also licensing, and the fact that the original SAW series was still being made at that time, and Amanda had been killed off......
Hoffman would have technically fit the label of a dead by daylight killer a lot more considering he outright murdered people and enjoyed the brutality of it.
John even though he was a murderer in the common sense he did have his own moral code about about whether he gave people chances or not so him not being it is understandable. Even though I could bring up a lot of points where the people he put in traps had no chance
Amanda is probably the middle ground between Hoffman and John while she did murder people due to unwinnable traps and one mercy killing she didn't enjoy it like Hoffman did and most of it was due to her own mental instability.
.
All in all I'm happy we got Amanda because she was my favourite character in The Saw franchise however I can agree that Hoffman would have fit the bill of a dead by daylight killer better even though I do hate Hoffman with a passion

Keep in mind we basically unhooked each other instantly, healed each other and then worked on gens. All solo survivors too BTW.
So for anyone that says Gen Rushing is a real thing, I ask you the same question. What else should we have done? Also for the record, I think gen speed is too fast, but we can;t fix that so again what should we have done?
When people use the term gen rush it's never used in a negative context towards survivors like tunneling or camping is it's normally just used to state how quickly the objectives are being done.
Of course we don't expect you to do anything else however the time at which the objectives are complete is just a pain

Seriously man, dont take that now personally please but do you really come here to complain about complaining people...?
If people dc on you all the time and it bothers you, change your playstyle?
It almost never happens to me that someone DCs, i try to play fair and that it is fun for everyone. A red mori is not fun for anybody (not even for the killer) so i dont use it.
It is still a game of 5 people and we forget that behind every name there is a person.
Can we please stop using the word fan in an argument when it is a subjective matter.
As a survivor I quite enjoyed seeing Moris now I don't like being morried off my first Hook but if I'm on death hoom and I get morried it's actually more enjoyable than being hooked.
You are not the grand jury on what is fun or not.
Especially when you boil down and problem like disconnecting to change your play style because you're not playing fun enough.
You have no control over why people choose to disconnect and it could range from a number of it valid or stupid reasons.
People can disconnect because they don't like x Killer map or perk.
If you like playing Leatherface for example but some disconnect because they don't like going up against leatherfaces does that mean you're forced to no longer play Leatherface because change your play style if you don't want disconnections
