  • The developers said that this rift is limited in time and will not be available after the closes. Maybe for the next Halloween event.

  • You are a funny guy

Doc, Leatherface & Pig all average 3 kills as well but they weren't nerfed or changed (since those statistics), so there was obviously something more with Freddy.

Freddy topped the list, he was first. It was obvious and everyone understood why he was being nerfed. He stood out from the other killers the most.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2361688#Comment_2361688

No, they nerfed freddy because he's overperforming, which could mean, he's killing a lot but also doing it quickly etc, I'm sure there are more variable than just "he has the highest kill rate". Of course they don't have to go into everything and every reason they do something.

    image.png

You're wrong, they nerfed him because he had a high kill rate.

I mean, you've just proven that they don't always look at statistics? Nurse also has the lowest kill rate but is the strongest killer, if they -only- looked at statistics, then she would be buffed, no?

In this they contradict themselves. After all, according to them, they nerf Freddy, because he had the highest kill rate. Developers look at statistics only when it suits them. It's simple.

  • The funniest part is that Pig's kill rate is higher than Rin's. And we know that developers only look at statistics. By this logic, they should buff Rin.

  • You said in 2018 that there will be 60 fps on consoles by 2020, but here we are. Console optimization suffered, and now we, console players, can practically not play, because it is impossible due to freezes and lags. Your optimization team, especially on consoles, is very incompetent. You need to add new employees or fire these and hire new ones in their place. Now, after the new chapter, the moment has come when it is simply impossible to play. Optimization on consoles has always, I repeat, have always been terrible and you have never moved in the direction of improving the game on consoles.

  • I am very disappointed with this. Although.. to be honest, I'm not surprised. When they said they would cancel all events because they would be putting more effort into the 2 biggest events, namely Halloween and the anniversary of the game. I thought that nothing will change and will be the same. And you know what? There are no events, and the anniversary is just a ctrl c ctrl v of last year's event, while the launch also happened with a bunch of bugs and so on. I have no words how hypocritical this is. But you guys don't worry, the main thing is to buy our cosmetics and chapters.

    Well.. yeah

  • All the changes that were in the bug fix are also on the ptb. There was no point in inserting these fixes into the ptb, because the next day there was a bug fix, but it happened.

  • For me, nothing has changed. Add some harshness to the game, not fix her hair. It's been almost a year and a half now and no hair fixes for Rin or Oni

  • All killers with a speed of 110% have a power that allows you to either easily catch in loops or move quickly. And to compensate for this, killers are given such a low speed, because their power is high, compared to 115% killers. But. The Trickster has nothing. Almost all structures are high, or it is easy to hide behind them (and I will remind you that compared to Slinger or Anna, his height is average, which makes it even more difficult to hit the knives), and if you can hit with a knife, it does nothing, because it needs to be done 8 times. This is an absolute failure. I also noticed that it is easier for them to play m1 than to use power. Because in some loops you just can't do anything. I will not even say what kind of recoil he has from throwing knives, as if you were shooting from a machine gun and how he oscillates from side to side and it is very difficult to hit, especially for me, playing on the console. 0 pressure on the map 0 chase. I do not know what the developers thought, clearly not with their brain

And let's not talk about his The Main Event either, because if you didn't turn it on, you lost it. Imagine if Oni had the same? There are no words

  • Yeah yeah

  • It seems when they were told how many tickets were bought in the Rift they started thinking lol

  • I think they had an idea to tell us in each tome about 2 characters. Chapters and tomes are published in the same time. That is, the number of tomes and chapters will be published the same number per year. But here's the bad luck. They will never be able to catch up on the missing characters because they don't tell us more than two. And apparently that's why they decided to include 4 characters in each tome now, so that sooner or later they would catch up with the number of characters and go on a par with the chapters. To release 2 characters each again, as planned from the very beginning. These characters are considered non-mainstream, as I understand it, because they always have cosmetics of rare quality, not ultra rare and not many charms. But it looks very silly. Many killers did not receive the doll charms, as did many survivors, and on top of that, there was also lore. It is sad.

  • They never learn from their mistakes. Do you think this is the first time? How many negative feedbacks there were in other PTBs for other changes, but despite this, the update was still released. People have long understood that there is no point in PTB. I'm not even talking about the number of bugs, etc. Bugs that have not been fixed for years, such as injured survivors silent on the ground.

  • The interface design is disastrously thought out.

    1. Icons scattered all over the screen on any platform cannot be convenient for the consumer, since it is difficult to focus on something. (Generators on the top in the center (and then the inscription: find a way out, am I playing training?), Survivors on the top left. Points for the game on the right. Large power icon or item at the bottom left with an action button (training again?) This is not an MMORPG, where the display of the party on the top left is convenient to check debuffs).

    2. Stylistic disharmony. In what year did it become normal to combine sketchiness and detail? Where is the logic behind this decision?

If you draw in detail the character's profile for display, then draw everything already. (And the perk icons are detailed, and the hook, lying survivor, wounded, dead).

It is not beautiful, practical or convenient. Pure violation of basic design rules.

It feels like they wanted to do it cool. Come up with cool. But they did not make it, simply because it became lazy and probably a deadline. Many players who played on PTB wrote negative reviews and were right, but you still released an update. The only question is why then do it. Ever wanted to hear from console players? Enjoy.

After watching the new teaser, I thought about a new chapter. There may be many most interesting assumptions here, but I'm not talking about that. It would be really cool to see a spider killer. I do not mean a huge killer spider, although that would also be cool, but does not in any way spill over into the gameplay, but a spider in the guise of a woman. Or some kind of transformation between these 2 states. Like Shelob of Middle-earth: Shadow of War. She appears there in the form of a spider and in the form of a beautiful woman. There are also videos showing her transformation. A condition between a spider and a woman. I think that would be cool. And its power would be associated with spiders, and instead of hooks, you could make spider cocoons or something like that. As in the Mist, for example. There would be a survivor and he had to be saved, like the cells of the Executioner. And she, like the Executioner, would need to do something to be able to send the survivor to this cocoon. If this is the third time, small spiders would eat it there. And its power would help slow survivors like Clown's bottles. She would set off a flock of small spiders that would slow down the chewer or something like that. And when killed, she would eat the survivor, like the Hag, for example. Or the power, which would be to move from one state to another. For example, turn into a half-spider and be able to sting survivors. Or she would run faster and could use a dash to hit or sting to injure and inflict new status, poisoning, and normal, at a speed of 4.4 to compensate for her speed. Something like Rin or the Hag. There are a lot of ideas with its power and the development team can come up with something interesting. As well as ideas with her appearance. What do you think?

  • They talked on the latest Q&A stream that they want to hear feedback from console players. They probably hope that console players will protect them and therefore have a reason not to change the new HUD. I think that's the way it is. But here's the problem, console players, including myself, will also react negatively and relate to the new HUD.

  • I wrote that I am not the only one with this problem, because I have seen many comments from other people with these problems on different platforms. But there is only one answer: your problem, change the type of nat connection, and so on. Although other online games work great lol

  • 100% agree. You know what's the funniest thing? That I can't even log into the game due to numerous unknown errors. Synchronization error, network connection error, unknown error, etc. PS4, by the way. And you know what they answered me in the technical problems thread? That this is my problem and they will not do anything, literally dumping all the blame on me lol.

  • I mean... It's always been like that, hasn't it? They don't understand anything other than money. As long as their wallets are full, they don't care about the community. People, learn to say what you want with your wallet.

And now people are showing it online, which has dropped 20%. Maybe that's why they decided to give us these shards to get 1 free skin? Give at least something? Because they know they gave a $hit in their pants. It looks like a very pathetic sight.. Like a handout to a dog. Shame, BHVR.

  • Feng, Yui, Felix, Blight, Legion, Ghost Face (set) and the addition of last year's Nurse skin.

    Release date October 23.

  • The developers will not reply to this thread, most likely it will be closed without giving reasons, like many other threads on this forum. We all understand perfectly well that they just do not want to waste time on the skin that they will include in the free pass. As well as the skin with Claudette. It looks very lazy, even the hair is taken from a different skin, but slightly redone. Same color black / red and same curls. Let's just admit that if these skins sold for money, they'd be better made. Although no, Kate's last skin is also broken and looks shabby. There is no single reason why they cannot make different masks. They are just too lazy to make models and draw it. It's all. This is a simple reason. After all, you could make 4 different masks and the player would decide which mask he wants to play with. But no, you have decided to take the simple path. We have an example in the game where the killer changes the model, and there are no restrictions, but the developers think that their audience is very stupid and will not understand anything and so will forgive everything. But you do a graphics update with a bunch of new bugs, freezes, FPS drops. Yes, that's right. You will have disgusting skins and disgusting game that you do not want to heal, improve, develop and expand. In general, what I want to say is shame, BHVR. Shame, @not_Queen . Once again, you crap, in other matters, as always.

As mentioned in a previous thread, I noticed the tome didn't take me so far in the rift. So I decided to compare the previous rifts, where they actually adjusted the economy in a positive manner, with the one we have now. Apparently BHVR have re-adjusted the values and now we have have less challenges than we had in both tome II and III. So far they have removed 2 common and 2 master challenges from each each web. Se the comparison below.

Now, BHVR is obviously free to make their own choices with their business model. But what grinds my gears is the fact that they (to my knowledge at least) didn't communicate this change to their player base. If my previous experience with the rift showed me that I could reach level 70 with X amount of effort, I would probably buy the rift pass again, confident I could make it in time. But because of the fact that BHVR changed the playing field, I may very well find myself not being able to make the rift in time and cash in some extra $ to reach the last few levels. This doesn't sit right with me and I tend to stay away from companies that employ these methods.

I hope that I'm completely off with this so feel free to add insights that may change my mind. Also, if anyone has a print screen of the upcoming levels of tome IV, please send it to me so I can add it to the roster.

    PREVIOUS TOME (III)

    Level 1: 13 common and 11 rare challenges = 94 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 2: 13 common and 11 rare challenges = 89 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 3: 13 common and 11 rare challenges = 89 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 4: 12 common and 12 rare challenges = 96 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Total: 405

    CURRENT TOME (IV)

    Level 1: 11 common and 9 rare challenges = 78 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 2: 11 common and 9 rare challenges = 78 fragments (+10 for completion)

(Level 3 and 4 not confirmed)

    Level 3: 12 common and 8 rare challenges = 76 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 4: 12 common and 8 rare challenges = 76 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Total: 348

    EDIT:

The current tome (including non-official stats) yields a total of 348 fragments. That's only 8 more fragments than Tome I that BHVR stated was too grindy. Now, obviously our queue times has approved somewhat since back then, but they cut 57 fragments since last time, almost 6 levels. You get approximately 0.8 fragments per game played. This means you need to play approx. 70 matches on top of the one you needed to play since the last tome. That's quite a few games.

    Tome I: 340 fragments

    Tome II: 393 fragments

    Tome III: 405 fragments

    Tome IV: 348 fragments

It is also worth mentioning that the number of fragments and challenges has been reduced in this tome.

  • @kamisen said:

Can someone confirm the level 3 challenges for me? It should be 12 normal and 8 rare for 76 fragments.

As I shown earlier, level 3 contains the same challenges.

  • CURRENT TOME (IV)

    Level 3: 12 common and 8 rare challenges = 76 fragments (+10 for completion)

    Level 4: 12 common and 8 rare challenges = 76 fragments (+10 for completion)

Obviously, there are fewer fragments in tome 4. Each level has 20 challenges.

  • Rin's hair is broken with the release of the Demo last year. Many messages have been written about this and the developers are aware of this and will not fix it.

I mean the leakers are still able to data mine stuff it's just that they don't seem to put the actual skin files in ptb anymore.

The names and descriptions of some of the Skins have already been datamined

Yes, this collection Greek Legends should be amazing. Especially the legendary skin Minotaur on Oni.

  • Hag, Wraith, Meg and Ace

  • I completely agree with you, but you understand what the point is - this will not help. People wrote a million posts, a million messages over the years, and that doesn't help. I am sure that none of the BHVR will answer this letter, and will not even read, the maximum is a moderator. And if he does, he will simply ignore it, because the community is not in the first place for them, and this has been proven many times. And this is sad.

  • I played today, this bug has appeared many times. They did not fix it.

  • Another chapter without Rin's hair fix

  • @Frankie said:

As the title says, devs, you need to really, really think through, properly, some of these challenges. Legitimately - you guys tend to feed into, and stoke the fire of toxicity of this community when you create some of your challenges. There's many examples, but the one (or rather, 2) I'll give an example of because it's probably the best example, is that Dwight challenge. Don't get me wrong, I finished it within 2 tries on "The Game", but being within 10m of the killer without being caught for 60 seconds? Are you guys insane creating a challenge like that (it's duplicated with the additional condition of escaping in Level 4 of the tome, btw)? No offense, but that idea COMPLETELY SUCKED.

You may as well call the challenge "Be a useless team mate and go out of your way to do nothing while literally hiding up the killers rectal cavity all round".

Again, think these things through. You guys come up with all kinds of reasons to punish toxicity, but then you keep stoking the fire. Honestly, it seems like you're trolling sometimes.

Yeah, you're right, at level 4 there will be exactly the same challenge, but with one additional condition. You need to escape. The funny thing is that the gate, because the hatch does not count.

  • I did it from the first match when Trapper camped a shack with a survivor inside in the basement and set traps around the shack, and I disarmed it.

  • @Peanits said:

Conspiracies aside, yes, of course we do. There's some in just about every patch; sometimes there's even so many that there's a dedicated "Killer Bug Fixes" section in the patch notes. Even this PTB has some (more to come with the full release): https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/194-4-0-0-ptb

To put it simply, there's a lot more moving parts when it comes to killers, which means that there's a lot more that can go wrong. Every survivor is identical in terms of gameplay, they just have different visuals and voices. Meanwhile every killer not only has shared issues, but also have their own unique power and add-ons that affect them, requiring their own animations. Their perks can also interact with powers differently in unintended ways (Play With Your Food, for example). I know it seems as simple as "two sides" and might come across as favouring one side over the other, but it's really a matter of 21 different things. There's 1 baseline survivor, and then there's 20 killers. If you fix a bug for a survivor, you've fixed it for all survivors. But if you fix a bug for Freddy, that doesn't fix something for Demogorgon.

    On that note:

    1. We are working on this one. This is a high priority. The issue with bugs like these is that there's no consistent way to reproduce it. If you don't know what's causing it, it's way harder to fix it. That said, we're hoping to get this fixed as soon as possible, it's not forgotten.
    2. Please report this when it happens. These are usually caused by specific spots where the killer cannot get to. We fix them when we see them, but we need people to report these sorts of things in order for us to see them.
    3. I can't say I've seen this happen before. There may be some sort of interference on your end, possibly a hardware issue (doesn't have to be the controller itself). Still, I would suggest creating a bug report and give as many details as you can. If anyone else is having the same issue, they'll be able to chime in and give some details.
    4. The bug here is for the most part in the animation; you are not meant to get the grab. The survivor already let go, and teleporting them back so you can grab them would be massively unfair. That said, this is something that's going to be improved upon in the future. We're going to revisit interactions and update them to work better on servers so everything looks like it should.

A quick explanation for the last one: You sent a message saying, "I want to grab this guy." and they sent a message saying, "I let go." Whichever one gets to the server first normally wins. Typically that's whichever message gets to the server first, but it also takes time for the response from the server to get back. With that in mind, you start the grab animation immediately and send your "I'm grabbing him" message, then the server goes, "No, you can't, he already let go." Your client doesn't know that until it gets the message back, and so your grab gets cancelled.

A bug with sound appeared with the Demo in September last year. How much time has passed? More than half a year. Do you understand that killers encounter bugs with sound for a huge amount of time? This bug appeared along with a bug with terrible quality of Rin's hair. Still not fixed. How many more months should pass?

Have all of you checked your controllers? This happened to me a while ago on wraith, even in bloodlust 3 and noed I couldn't catch up on a simple loop. It was because of my controller.

There are no problems with the controller. I checked it out. Everything works. Why am I playing other games normally? Why do I normally play for the survivors, but for the Legion bugs? It's not my problem.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

A Legion build I use and do really well with is...

Discordance: This helps you utilise Legions power more. As you can find a group of survivors easier. It’s rare for every survivor to split up and work on different gens, so this can create some great momentum right off the bat.

Pop Goes the Weasel: This is a great perk on every killer and one I’ll never stop using. But it’s especially effective on slower killers like Legion. It can really help you stop gens from being completed and if the survivors 3-gen they are screwed. As we all know there’s no hiding from Legion.

Thanatophobia: This perk works whist using Frenzy so it can be great on Legion. It gives you another way of slowing down gen and healing progression and gives the survivors an actual incentive to heal. It also has great synergy with Discordance as you’ll find groups of survivors easier and get more stacks.

A Nurse’s Calling: As more survivors will be healing and taking longer to do so. This perk will give you the opportunity to get some surprise downs. I can’t even list how many times I’ve been able to down a survivor because they’re sat inside of a bush healing. The fact that Legion has a pretty small terror radius also allows you to get close enough to close the gap if they try to run.

Lastly, I would just recommend trying out different play styles. As everybody says something different. The perks I listed above are just what I find most effective when I play. I sometimes switch out Thanatophobia for Monitor & Abuse as this helps with sneaking up on survivors more and being able to down them without having to use Frenzy.

The Legion does not have a small terror, it is standard. 32 meters.
