My guess: The halloween event will be delayed by one full week and they gonna release it next tuesday. The event will last one week longer tho.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWK7ieKRrYE

Judging by the trailer, patch 3.3.0 is due out in October. If Halloween was postponed until the release of 3.3.0, then for a week they definitely will not postpone the event. Either they then have to postpone patch 3.3.0.

  • A little bit about it

Oh, I'm not salty over console. Hell, I don't even own DBD on a console. I just see the worst of the harassment come from there. That, along with all the different issues like framerates, even more bugs than the PC version, and of course the actual psychopaths holding the controllers, make it clear that people need to jump ship and get on Steam if they want the actual DbD experience

You do not have DBD on consoles, but you are indignant about the gaming experience. It’s ridiculous. I played both on PC and on consoles, and I can say that there are enough salty people on all platforms.

  • You know, your game depends entirely on the survivors. This is the killer that does not depend on you. If survivors will be treated in fountains, you should have one strategy, if they will not be treated, the strategy will be different.

This is a good strategy against playing the Plague - do not wash your face in the fountains, so as not to give her power. But at the same time you are sick and for 1 hit.

Change the bloody cosmetic to be able to be added to any outfit, rather than having the default outfit being the only thing covered in blood.

    Example:

Purchasing a fresh 21k shard outfit from the store, you can add head/shirt/pants blood to any parts of the outfit depending upon how much you've prestiged on that character.

Yes, I thought about that too. But the problem is that for each customization you need to do separate textures. You can’t just apply blood textures from a standard skin. It is because of this that developers will not do this. Given that customization comes out every week.

People need to abandon console. It's not only way worse, you get what are clearly deranged people like this harassing you after lobbies are closed. That's a big fukkin' yikes from the PC crowd

Another salty person. What exactly does it matter to you on which platform a person plays? On any platform, there are people who are rude and do not behave beautifully. There are many such people on the PC and on consoles.

I think most of the people who want to play Dead by Daylight have already bought it. If I had to guess, I'd say that the game's revenue has been steadily declining for some time, and the release of new chapters isn't enough to make up the difference. They seem to be hoping that the Rift and Archives will provide them with a more steady source of income. But even if it works, I doubt that means they'll put more effort into improving upon the game.

"Why waste time and effort trying to create a better game in the hopes that more people will buy, when we can just milk our current playerbase with cosmetics every few months and make loads of money with minimal effort?" Is what I imagine someone would say in the middle of a board meeting.

Yes, this is probably exactly what is happening now. More and more people write on forums that developers are going the wrong way. But the developers do not pay attention to this. I wonder how far they go.. Although what am I talking about? Battle pass in a paid game, this is the edge.

  • Oh yes, you are completely right. There used to be hours-long streams and developers answered questions live. Now we see a record for 20 minutes without any answers to questions. At the forum, developers also avoid answering hot questions, instead they just say this:

    image.png

They say that they want to be closer to their audience and listen to it, but actually not. There is a complete ignore.

  • You don’t get banned for this, you don’t have to worry. I myself met such salty players. Shame.

  • Yes, the big problem with these challenges is that they are designed for luck, and not for your skill in the game. It doesn’t matter how you play if one survivor makes a dc, for example. This is a problem and needs to be addressed.

nothing will change the gameplay lmao unless you expect a full rework of the game mechanics

Last year there were even flowers. This is at least something new in the gameplay. Do you see some kind of rework here? In the past Halloween event? No. What is the problem?

Im talking about tomes. Not rifts.

    Tomes arent time locked

You just said they dont introduce new content, i show you new content.

Game content, I say again. Gameplay. Why do I need notes if the gameplay is the same?

  • @Milo said:

    Someone forgot about Tomes.

You know free lore content for the game

Instead of playing, should I read the lore? You won’t delay people in the game if you add notes and this lore, if the gameplay is the same.

cosmetics and rift is optional your fault if you buy them

Oh my god, do you understand what a person is talking about? It's not that you can pay/not pay. And the fact that the developers do not add anything new, they only suck out money and add a battle pass. Ah, yes, to get 2 full sets for Halloween for free, you will need to grind in the Rift, because there is serum. And what was last year? Flowers. And now you need to grind battle pass.

  • I completely agree with the author of the post. I would like to add something, but you already said everything you need. Developers do not pay attention to their player base, they do not listen to them, they do not respond, and this is not only seen by me alone. Previously, there were live streams lasting an hour, and there they at least answered questions. Now recording for 20 minutes. Shame.

  • I think they have not changed anything. They never listen to their audience.

  • It is difficult to play without Ruin in the first ranks. I myself don’t like to play with it and don’t play, I prefer PGTW. I used to play with Thanatophobia, but the developers killed this perk, giving preference to Ruin. I even left a topic on the forum about this, and not one. But the problem is that the surviving gen rush. 5 minutes and all the generators are wound up. Do you think killers aren’t bored? These are 2 sides of the same coin. Take away the gen rush and no one will use the Ruins.

I won’t say anything bad about the BBQ, it’s a good perk, it gives double bloodpoints and helps to track survivors.

  • Q: With The Nurse's add-ons being tweaked, will you now shift your add-on focus to other characters (Doc, Pig, Legion, etc.)?

Yes. A list of Killers we would like to revisit can be found here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/77678

We cannot give dates on when these changes will happen, but we can share some information on which killers we are looking to update. We will be taking a look at the Nurse and her add-ons (primarily her add-ons) and the Doctor. We would also like to review the chainsaw killers, the Shape, and the Pig, and more. Some may receive smaller changes or add-on passes while other may see more significant changes.

    That says it all

  • Oh my God. Can the BHVR do this? Following a tweet from Kyle? Amazing.

    Anything can be

  • 1. Are you going to do anything with Thanatophobia?

    2. When will the Russian language on the console?

  • @WaffleFalafel said:

@VSLl Yeah I've played the game I can tell you right now that 4% doesn't mean jack #########. If a survivor DCs, then the whole team just lost someone who could hook save or do gens. And you know what? That in of itself slows the game down way more than Thanatophobia.

Let's look at this logically: if the killer is applying pressure, then someone should be on the hook and one person should be in a chase. So, 2 people are involved the hook save (one of which isn't contributing anything to the team), 1 is busy doing gens, and the last person being chased. If a person DCs, then that shifts priorities. One person has to hook save and one other person has to be chased. The last person is on the hook. No one is doing gens or even if that person got saved, there is one less possible person on gens, slowing the game down immensely.

If you're salty a survivor just DCed before they got to a hook, then that survivor just did one of two things. If the survivor was on death hook, then that debuff doesn't matter because it was going to go away soon enough. If they've still got some life in them though, then they just unnaturally sped up the trial in your favor.

So tell me: what are you complaining about? A DC is much more valuable than a simple Thanat. stack.

I'm complaining about a bug in the game that needs to be fixed. Not to mention that again to raise the topic about the minimum value of this perk.

  • @WaffleFalafel said:

It seems unreasonable that survivors should be punished for their teamate doing something selfish. Its nothing in either side's control and only caused by one's own ineptness at playing this game.

There's no reason why killers should stand to benefit more by a disconnect when they already get the benefit of a three man game. Besides that, nothing the survivors do can stop that from happening, which essentially means no counterplay.

Its fair to say that killers certainly are being cheated out of their own reward by disconnects, however more bloodpoints and an emblem adjustment should fix this problem. There's no point in fixing what's not broken and survivors are just going to be punished for something they didn't do, so there's no real point.

    Edit: Grammar.

How is this fair? Did you play the game? Imagine, you carry the survivor to the hook and he must die, and all those who survive must receive a negative state from the perk. But no. This survivor leaves the game and that's it. And what do you think is fair? Funny.

  • I totally agree with you. Play for the killer has become impossible. Try to play for the survivors.

  • As long as there is no serious punishment for DC in the game, such situations will happen.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/55747/developers-you-are-crazy-meta-second-chance-mom-and-thana

So no uses Thana? Hmm, cant verify this. Every third game i run into a killer with Thana. You run into guys 3-4 survs with MOM? Cant verify this. Even DS. Cant very that so many survs use it. Seems like your "arguments" only exist in your dreamworld.

Do you send screenshots from the game or what? I did not come here to prove something to you, but to leave a message to the developers.

  • Having a hell of a time dealing with all the second chances? As a Hag main I only have M1 so MoM is a chore to deal with when it's combined with everything else.

Hi, Space. You have great videos. No, you're not alone. Apparently so was redesigned DS. But it still happens in the game.

  • I’ve played this game since day one.

I totally agree with you. I'm afraid because of the ping I can not play with you.

  • It's just toxic swf over and over again. Many smurfing to face low ranks. We're talking people with 2000+ hours.

I agree, this is a problem. And they need to solve it.

  • Remember when healing speed was nerfed so that it required 30% more of the time? What we had was:

The thing is, perks SHOULD be strong when you double up on them. Thana + SB for example. Maybe the heals were really long. So what? That's the whole point of the build, and killers running it only have 2 other perks. It makes survivor either:

    1. Use botany knowledge and/or medkits to COUNTER it.

    2. Say something along the lines of "ok, this healing will take too long so I probably shouldn't heal. The killer had ruin which we dealt with already. That means he either doesn't have NOED or doesn't have anything to help in the chase."

Why should a double killer perk anti-heal build be balanced around making sure that already slow self care heals remain viable against it?

  • The developers have prioritized Ruin, not Thana. A shame. How silly it was to nerfed Thana, and so she was not strong. Now this perk is just rubbish.

  • That's bullshit. Not only did you not buff Thana, you nerfed it. But at the same time Ruin buff. This is ridiculous. So you prioritize? It was one of my favorite perks, but now it's rubbish.

  • You're right. Developers close eyes to a gen rush. And it is a problem which needs to be solved. It is especially impossible to play on the first ranks when all generators are started in 5 minutes.

  • @iceman2kx said:

This is a PvP game and salt is just the irrational behavior displayed because a player lost. The toxic behavior will never be resolved because of the nature of this game.

It's really something you have to learn to ignore. Play how you want. Camp, tunnel, play fair, play by survivor rules, use DS, flash spam, teabag everyone; it doesn't matter what you do because you'll always be blamed for something.

Yes, play as you want. And I want to play without toxic players.

  • @Poweas said:

I meet them all the time. If there's someone who's obviously toxic in your lobby, run Billy and face camp them with the saw if they be toxic. Beautiful solution.

I proposed to solve the problem globally, and not to cut every survivor. I have nothing to do, play for Billy every time and cut toxic players.

There's a bug on all consoles and pc where you get hit and you don't move your legs when moving. It also occasionally happens when you drop a pallet and get a stun. On PC your legs move like normal until this bug happens.

My favorite is the T Pose when you get unhooked or unhook yourself.

If this is just about UE in general, you're VERY late to the complaint party. IIRC they changed the animation and it just looks stupid. If you're looking for realistic stuff in DBD where you can hit someone with a chainsaw 53 times and they keep getting "healed" back to their feet then you're playing the wrong game man. I'm sorry but if i hit you with a chainsaw, you're going to bleed the hell out, not be able to run to the corner of a map and self-heal yourself with air. cmon now lol

Maybe then do not write anything at all, that would not improve the game?

  • @p1ague said:

What? Your computer is broken. Urban evading people look the same as other crouch-walking people, only faster.. I only see glide walking when lag gets crazy

This is ridiculous. By the way, I play on ps4. How do you think this perk works? How does a survivor overcome more distance in less time? Maybe because he moves his legs faster? Run? Have you heard of physics? How do you think the survivor moves faster? He moves his legs faster and therefore runs a greater distance. Immediately we see exactly the same animation, and flying, when the foot is on the ground. You move your legs in the same way as you do without a perk, but you walk a greater distance. Magic. I send any video on YouTube, if you do not understand what I mean?

They are not even exclusive, like those that were last year. And the meaning of them? For what? Pittance? If you can buy them later. And the quality of them... not at the level of the event, for sure.

  • @Lagoni said:

The ideas on the video are not bad, but here's my take.
I like the event. The only complaints i had about it was, that there wasn't enough envelopes, and the killers got screwed on points because of it.
They made changes to both these matters, so now i think its great.
You can choose to ignore the event, and just play as you would normally, or you can participate. That't great. It doesn't force people who are not interested to partake.

After the start of the event, ALL the killers take the Hex: Ruin. Moreover, they are also campers. When playing for a maniac, everything is gen rush. And how to play then, I ask?

Make 2 different system. In one, players will play for the rank and the developers will make a leaderboard, as promised. And the second system will be free. Something like a "fast game" and "rating game." I do not see a better solution.
