If you enjoy it then why are you posting on here like it bothers you? You collect it and yet at the same time you say it's sad and makes you not want to be nice in the game.

Sounds contradictory. Almost like one of those two sentiments isn't sincere.

First off calm down Nancy Drew.

Secondly just because I collect them doesn't mean I enjoy receiving them. Some are quite annoying or disincentivizing like this one for example because the specific person in question was very hypocritical and some are so overboard that it becomes hilarious

Throughout my entirety of playing killer and I just tend to receive them after a while deleting them just becomes pointless so I kind of just save them and show them to people.

If you want a tl;dr just because I collect evidence of a situation doesn't mean I enjoy the situation happening. Showing toxicity is more evident than saying it exists with no proof.

Do me a favour and get off your high horse and stop trying to analyse me like I'm some evil guy twirling a moustache.

You act like other tracking options don't exist.

No one complains that Calm Spirit completely guts Doctor. But God forbid the perk also counter a killer like Legion 🙄. Not to mention, Legion isn't the only one with Killer Instinct.

Also worse than Freddy what? He's already worse than Freddy. Freddy is top 5 bro.

Because in their current state Legion is nowhere near strong enough to need a hard counter.

As for doctor all calm spirit does is remove the tracking capabilities.

    Madness skill checks still remain

Teir 3 will still stop you from doing most channel actions.

Illusion doctors will still show up for doctor when the survivors are in tier 3 or Tier 2 add-ons which can be used as a substitute tracker

Being shocked will prevent you from doing actions

Not to mention all the status infections will still remain on you with or without calm spirit.

Doctor wasn't and still isn't completely gutted going up against calm spirit he's hindered.

Legion however is a different case killer instinct is equal part of their power in fact besides the Deep wound status effect frenzy isn't really useful for anything else.

Legion has no tracking capabilities in frenzy.

Legion only has a limited time to be in frenzy until it goes on cooldown

Legion has a really long 4 second fatigue time if they cancel, forced out of or deplete frenzy.

Long story short frenzy is not a strong enough ability to require a counter. Hell calm spirit doesn't even hard counter doctor.

As for the other killers with killer instinct they at least still have something vital to their kits without it.

Ghostface still has stealth and the ability to instadown. Mild tracking from killer instinct isn't a massive loss.

Demi Logorgon can still teleport and use its power for map control and it also has shred for lunges.

However deep wounds is just not strong enough to be worth it. Killer instinct is literally what makes frenzy what it is.

You can find value in any perk if you look hard enough. =p

I like use Distressing for Spirit, so that they don't hear my whoosh as often, for example. You basically have Prayer Beads, and you get more BP for it, lol.

The reason I bring Furtive Chase is because it guarantees I find my obsession again. Sometimes you just don't find your obsession after hooking them and you only get 2 stacks. In addition sometimes they don't heal, making stacking Remember Me harder. If I want max stacks, Furtive Chase makes it where I get 4 stacks every game without fail. It's helped me a lot when I bring Remember Me. It also allows you to not be forced to tunnel your obsession into oblivion. I don't like playing like that.

    Fair.

In my opinion it's still a terrible perk but if you find value in it then at least that's something good

This is the game in a nutshell. If you aren't playing exactly how someone wants you to play then you're getting insulted. Never could figure that out.

Yep sadly, considering I've given this person the hatch twice before this it really just makes me not want to be nice in this game.

You're nice you get false praise and thanks you play normally you get insulted and mocked.

  • @StarMoral said:

Even his insults are weak, #########

Sad part was I gave them the Hatch twice in previous matches.

Because I was recording for this for YouTube video I basically went for the 4k

However the survivors were with super altruistic so I ended up slugging and you saw how that worked out

  • For the most part play how you want a play you shouldn't let anybody dictate when you shouldn't or should drop a pallet.

If you're asking what's the most effective use of it I would typically say don't use it unless.

    1) You're getting a pallet save

    2) if a hit will down you

    3) possible Hatch escape if it's in killer shack

There are more scenarios but that's the three of the top of my head.

As I said for the most part if you feel like you need to drop it just drop it. Following an arbitrary set of rules for the most part lessens your enjoyment as long as you're not actively sandbagging a fellow survivor by dropping it on them you're all good.

But you seem to forget that a while back the hook smacking was still possible even with dedicated servers activated. I think it was during the beggining of the 2nd test phase

Considering it's not in the patch notes as a change then it's a bug as a result of dedicated servers and my point still stands especially if it started during the second phase of testing

  • @Atrushan88 said:

Well before Freddy was reworked Monto managed to get 0 TR both inside and outside of a chase meaning he could see their auras from any distance. I'd imagine you could do close to the same with Myers, in tier 2 anyways.

As for the other thing. changing the obsession nearly guarantees the perk will not be gone until you've killed at least 2 people in most situations. I don't think that's too bad.

But that's old Freddy whether the perk worked well with him is kind of irrelevant now.

Once again changing the obsession is still a side effect of the perk so the unnecessary restriction doesn't make the perk completely irrelevant. It's not meant to be the main effect of the perk.

Also considering remember me is not a hard perk to stack having the obsessive switch doesn't really do anything. The maximum stacks you can get it's for that is literally two chases.

If the obsession had time to heal you have practically guaranteed to have your four Stacks whilst they're on second hook. While with furtive chase you could potentially get your stacks quicker.

Stacks aren't relevant until endgame meaning even if you do get them quicker then they're just sitting there until the gates are powered.

You are aware that pc is running on dedicated servers unlike Xbox? Educate yourself first before trying to act like a smartass, otherwise you might look like fool

That's a problem with dedicated servers not removing the hitbox.

Just like dedicated servers have caused a lot of issues for Killers powers not working properly.

So it kind of makes your post pointless because they didn't remove anything if that's the case.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/843782#Comment_843782

Why don't you just try it and see? Just because you have a problem with the perk does not mean it has no uses.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/843609#Comment_843609

It's probably the most effective Myers build for using Tombstone or Fragrant Tuft of Hair. You get 15% faster stalk rate from stalking your obsession than J. Myers Memorial, on everyone who unhooks your obsession. 99% your obsession, hook them, pop EW3 on the other person, kill them, if you manage to kill someone else, cool, if not, then let them unhook your obsession, 99% new obsession, repeat. That's with Tombstone. Funny thing is, you only need one, maybe one and a half obsessions to get 200% stalk with Judith's Journal, and both Tombstone and Fragrant Tuft of Hair increase stalk to 200%. you can get this quite easily if you want to. Stalk almost goes normal speed on your obsession.

As for Furtive Chase, we've seen multiple killers find good uses for it, and I enjoy using it for easy 4 stacks of Remember Me on Freddy, when I run Remember Me. The obsession changing is the best use of the perk imo. Unless you're using it on Dark Devotion Legion, but even then, the obsession changing helps keep DD in effect longer.

But again that highlights a major problem with the Perk people aren't actually using it for it's intended use.

Mainly because for the most part its intended use is crippled by its restrictions.

    1) Requiring you to be in a chase

    2) Having a token limit of 4

    3) Losing everything if your obsession dies

That's three restrictions for one benefit

It's the side effects of the perk that's actually making it relatively useful.

  • Normally if I see a survivor hop into a locker I'll leave them be. If I'm Trapper I'll leave them a little present then go however if you don't choose to spam vault out of that Locker repeatedly to get the decisive strike off I'll pick you up take the decisive strike and after that I'm tunneling you to death.

Because at that stage you not even using decisive strike to prevent being tunneled you're using it to be an active nuisance

  • @PolarBear said:

if not distortion really should get a token buff to be more effective

I would agree if it didn't cripple the powers of 3 individual Killers.

Legion being the one that gets hit the hardest. At this stage Legion is already dead you don't need to continue kicking them.

I'm honestly interested to see how they would take Dwight's story as even with the mild hence we have about lore referring to him it's not exactly ripe with potential for stories.

Origin stories are easy enough for The Killers but a story with an introverted child like Claudette is filled with possibilities however Dwight is pretty much a doormat I don't think there's much interesting storylines could do with that

Yet it becomes overbearing for newer players and almost a guaranteed win with a 4k. You dont seem to understand RSN2 does the exact opposite of what a RBT is supposed to do even if it was useful. Even if people dont care and do the gen regardless. The option is wat helps.

How would it be overbearing for new players literally search for the box and don't do a gen.

If a generator is completed whilst you are on hook literally nothing changes.

One of the main problems I've always had problems with Dead by daylight people tend to treat survivors like they're brain dead goldfish.

If you can't see the boxes go look for them rather than get on a gen.

If you choose to power through with the objectives and work on a Jen you run the risk that the pig might have a build that stole the game so now you have even less time to get the trap off that's your own mistake.

Literally the only thing that this would change about the pig is that it would give her the potential to punish people who actually do gens whilst they have a trap on.

As multiple people have told you currently for pig players traps don't usually work as intended against higher tier players because they just ignore it until it activates.

Hell I know some survivors whose search one or two boxes and if the trap doesn't activate yet they'll go on gens because they'll have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to search two boxes.

Let me give you an example if it becomes part of the base kit I can run tampered timer and jigsaw sketch.

Now if your trap activates while you're on hook or down this means nothing to you because it just works like normal this is already a very good pressure combo

If your trap hasn't activated you have two choices search boxes or do a gen make the trap activate.

If you pick the former it stalls out to generators but you run a very low risk of death.

If you pick the latter you run through the objective quicker however you put yourself at a higher risk of dying to the reverse bear trap.

You literally make your choice depending on your actions survival can be easier or harder you know the entire theme of the saw franchise.

I mean, if I have Judith's Journal and Furtive Chase on, I can mori 2 or even people fairly easily, or get tier 3 in a very reasonable time frame with either addon. That said, I don't know if I'd consider it OP or not. It does negate the time frame for both a lot though.

That said, this isn't a bug report.

However it is a gimmick build

Hell it's pretty much the only build where furtive chase actually useful and it's not even because of the actual effects of the perk it's more of the side effects than anything else

  • Smacking on the hook is still a thing the survivor literally just doesn't scream anymore so if you got hit with the chainsaw it's because your bait wasn't as good as you think it was

  • Don't feed the Myers.

If survivors actually play smart and aware of their surroundings you can pretty much keep Myers stuck in t 1 for a decent bit.

However what I've noticed from playing Michael even at red rank is that stupid survivors will feed him to no end.

Camp a pallet trying to get an easy stun whilst Myers stalks you this is the most common thing I've seen.

Not trying to move towards cover where they can hide their player model but running out in the open even though cover is easily available.

    Bm at pallet or vaults.

Last second exhaustion perk users. You people who let the killer basically come next to you before you sprint burst or use balanced landing. Most of the time a Michael wiill just stalk you while you're doing that.

The amount of times I've seen survivors get down that exit games because they didn't watch the distancing and they fed Myers only to get downed or they fed the Meyers left but basically screwed over anyone else who is trying to get through the gate

  • Because the pallets there aren't designed to be looped into infinity.

You're meant to get one or two loops out of it drop it and then move on to get distance.

A lot of people are so used to having most Maps have a bunch of safe pallets that they couldn't look at least four or five times that the second that they can't do that assumed the pallet is completely useless

  • @Viceus said:

for newest killer yes like freddy , myers , ghostface, and demogorgon... but for old killer ? like cannibal , pig ... or maybe old survivor like david...

As u know collecting 9k Iridescent Shard is not easy .. People must have a lot level up to get 9k shard...

    I only suggest this BTW...

Both Freddy and Michael are older than the Pig in terms of DLC Killers.

Michael is literally the first licensed killer that came to the game.

Sorry to be this guy but whether they're older DLC or not isn't how this works licence holders still want to be paid for their content. There's no sorry your DLC has been out for 2 years now you get no money clause.

  • Not really for the most part survivors don't actually care when reverse bear trap are in play.

He will complete a generator whilst that survivors on the hook, being carried or just searching for their the key.

As an add-on rule set no 2, 90% of the time literally does nothing. Because most of the time the second the survivor has control of their character again their trap is already activated. Keep in mind this is an ultra rare.

I with that I haven't seen survivors 99 or stop themselves from doing gens since the first month of Piggy's release.

Literally the risks that people talk about when it comes to making RSNO2 base are things that happens to pig players frequently regardless of whether they are running the add-on or not

  • So far from we been getting in the archives I would say Claudette

Not including the archives I would say Feng Min and Spirit

But even with the archives inclusion when more tomes come out this will probably be subject to change I'm really hoping my main girl Min has a really interesting backstory. I'd also want a really good one for Legion

  • It would be sick we be really weird to have of the same beings in the same place.

As stated before by the dev's the only reason multiple versions of the same survivor can be in one trial is gameplay reasons.

Actual lore wise there is only one Min, Kate or Claudette

There is only one Trapper, Amanda or Wraith.

The only character to break this trend is Legion however that simply because Legion is a gang of multiple people that just all carry the same code name or

However even with them there is only one Frank, one Julie, one Susie and one Joey.

It would makes no sense to suddenly changed that for two Rins (killer and survivor)

But however I could be wrong they could decide to change down the line but from what we know it's likely going to be a no

  • 51 hype

I'm glad I'm pretty much guaranteed to complete it

  • @BenZ0 said:

    @Volfawott

Well it is just a opinion vs opinion. I used to main legion and obviously played alot the nerfed version of Legion. And since you have no power at all you have no way to shorten any chases, even though pig, clown and doc cant do that that great compared to other killers. Atleast they CAN and Legion cant do it. I got alot of times looped by all 4 survivors really long without any chance, no mindgames etc would help since 80% of the loops in dbd are still open and not mindgamable.

As clown you can atleast catch a survivor really fast open field and end only window loops such as T walls etc really fast. You can shorten loops and force pallet dropps early. Doctor can negate all infinits with his shocks and such as clown you can force early pallet dropps aswell, plus survivors waste the same amount of time with snap out as mending.

Thats why in my view and it is a pretty good reason is that Legion is the worst killer, maybe leatherface is worse idk but both suck.

While Amanda may be my primary main Legion is definitely my secondary.

Honestly the main problem with Legion's power is that it just has way too many downsides to it mainly because of just how much backlash Legion got I think they kinda just took the sledgehammer to them and didn't really think their changes through.

In fact the legion rework and the endgame collapse update was an absolute mess.

Lots of things went into it that I didn't actually think were thought out all too thoroughly.

Amanda's changes were a major ######### and were a clear example of didn't really think through the things you implemented.

Trap timer is paused when in the Terror radius on a killer who can hide their terror radius. #########.

I get it was meant to stop people from cheaping out the Trap timer but the people who would normally do that just crouched so the only people who were actually affected were pigs who played normally

On top of that it basically turned a bear trap into a portable whispers making trap tunnelling even easier.

The endgame nerf was absolutely pointless and the reasons they gave for it were weak as hell.

    1) wasn't the intention of traps to use in the endgame. This reason would be believable if they didn't encourage diversifying with The Killers power and doing things that work unintended.

Also if this so unintended why did it take you almost a year to stop it. The dead hard exit gate bug was fixed within 2-days you didn't think to fix the end game traps as well

    2) survivors would have a difficult time dealing with two timers. This was just a massive insult to the survivor community because I assume that most of them don't have the brain of goldfish. Especially considering you don't have to look at the timer on your icon to get it rough estimate of the bear trap time because it blinks more intensely

    3) it was an unfair way to cheap a kill and there was nothing that the survivors could do about it. *Laughs in endgame collapse blood warden*

yes because possibly getting a kill on one person by sticking them with an unreliable kill source.

Is far more concerning than easily being able to get a 4K for free unless a survivor whip out a key.

Legion had so much restrictions added onto their power it was even funny. Lots of them overlapping each other.

    1) Multiples to restrictions on the spamility which became redundant. The fact frenzy couldn't down was prevalent enough. Missed swings cancelling frenzy and needing a full bar to use it was overkill.

    2) Tracking capabilities: why in the hell you can't see blood stains baffles me.

I've heard people say it's to encourage you to hit other survivors. Which I find it incredibly stupid solution mainly because blood or no if somebody wants to just tunnel one person they're going to do it. It's not hard for me to hit a person with frenzy and then just follow them.

I've also heard it's to reduce the amount of information you get whilst traversing map. So why can Billy see blood stains and scratch marks when his power is lethal, why can nurse or Wraith all of these guys can use their power to traverse the map yet they could still see survivor indications.

    Add-ons

    1) why does Frank's mixtape exist in its current state

    2) why does stab wounds study exist in its current state

    3) why does fuming mixtape give me the ability to see generators on a limited power especially considering if I deep wounds a survivor I lose aura reading. All-seeing spirit works on because you had no limits on your cloak so you can gather as much information as you wanted to. Frenzy doesn't have that luxury.

    4) why do I actively have to hinder myself by hitting a survivor twice to get off status effects that really aren't worth it in the long run. The status effects I gain from it could literally be outclassed by just cancelling out frenzy then hitting them the survivor and downing them

Sorry about the Rant but I kind of just blew off steam I love the devs buts sometimes they could really make stupid decisions

  • @BenZ0 said:

    @Volfawott

Clown and Doc both has a power in chase, Legion not, easy as that.

Honestly clowns tape power tends to be overestimated you could still very easily loop the gas.

As for doctor without range add-ons his shock stops becoming useful most medium and all large loops. The only thing that doctor's shock in a chase really has going for it is that it has a higher drop-off tier than Amanda's ambush.

Basically meaning Amanda can really only ambush effectively at all small and some medium Loops whilst Doctor can do it at all small and most the medium loops.

Overall Legion's power is just more useful also Legion power at least has quite a bit of synergy with some perks whilst Dr the only thing you could really do is a impossible skill check build and high ranks aren't really bothered by that.

As I said I'm not calling Legion good I'm saying they're not as bad as people think in my mind they're still the third worst killer. They're just not the worst killer

well .. thats the idea that you actually have to do something to earn your cosmetic even if its mean to get all the way 13 to your favorite skin.

Alright let's run through this first the Skins were never earnable besides the event based skins. code skins were always given away for free at least on behaviours part I don't count outside sources

Secondly there's not a problem with earning it the problem is what dictates what skin should be on what level.

If you actually read what I said instead of just automatically assuming it was complaining about earning you would know but I was talking about why should someone just who plays Claudette have to go above and beyond to get the skin voice level 13 when she could possibly get it at devotion level 6.

If you suggested something like the devotion levels give you token to purchase the skins then I'd be down for it but if you lock them to a specific devotion level why are you forcing some people to go above and beyond and others to get an easier task.

Especially for skins in the first place that one never earned. They were giving away from free on behaviours part and if you got it from an outside source you paid for it. Unless you are one of the few who won it from a tournament or a competition you didn't earn it.

Do you want something easier that you could read why should a Claudette main have to do more work than someone who mains Meg for cosmetics that whenever about earning in the first place.

If you want to specifically link a cosmetic to the devotion level make new ones don't tag these ones on to it

  • Never said they were great or even good just said they weren't as bad as people tend to claim they are.

Most people assume that they're the worst killer in the game however I see the Clown and debatably doctor to be worse than they are

  • Underrated

    Amanda and Legion:

Now I'm not going to act like these two don't have their flaws because oh boy they do and they can be crippling however people tend to gloss over their advantages a lot.

When used correctly they can be very efficient granted I feel like it is ok to bring up the flaws because they are definitely things that need to be addressed however people need to realise that there are some really good things about these two and it would be nice to see people focus on them more because they could win matches.

    Myers and Huntress:

These two things again the major suckage from the community like literally some people will suck these guys dry with praise.

However they have very big problems that people tend to forget the opposite of how Amanda or Legion work people focus on the positives weigh more than the negatives.

Huntress is very map dependent at certain Maps could basically screwed her and her hatchets are very inconsistent either they'll miss when they should have hit making your skill irrelevant or they'll hit when they shouldn't have making your skill irrelevant.

With such a map dependency and power inconsistency I don't get why people Places so high on the list of tiers she's definitely one of the most balanced killers in the game but not as good as people make it out to be.

Myers: Myers is also pretty map dependent however unlike the huntress if survivors are good enough they could lock you into T1 for a pretty decent amount of time. Without the advantages of scratched mirror of this means you're losing a lot of map pressure while the survivors are cracking out gens.

Honestly a lot of his potential comes from survivors having very poor spatial awareness and essentially feeding him the second your survivors are aware of their surroundings Michael becomes infinitely less useful

  • That would be very annoying for people who want the exclusive for a specific character.

For example why do I have to get all the way to 13 to get golden Feng

I don't really play any other survivors the other cosmetics are absolutely useless to me.

So you make Claudette cosmetics the level 13 reward if someone only plays Claudette they're going to be very irritated that they have to get to level 13 to get their cosmetic.

  • I mean they can implement that but for the first couple of days of the archives levels coming out good luck finding a match

  • No I don't have any pixels that will make me feel special. Devs give me more pixels to make me feel special.

Then actually respect the fact people aren't going to be ripped off anymore and console players who never got the opportunity to even obtain these are now going to get them. Hell the fact that they are free very respectable considering if the dev's really wanted to they could put them on the store for auric cells and make bank considering now people already are willing enough to spend nearly 1000 dollars for the skins

There are still cosmetics out there like the bloodletting or the streamer ones that will remain exclusive so for the love of God will you get off your entitled high horse.

So maybe some other people can enjoy something good in the game.

  • For starters you didn't buy the any of these cosmetics from behaviour so they really shouldn't have to compensate you for anything.

If you want them in a contest, giveaway or tournament yes it could be a little frustrating but you're not owed anything

If you bought it from an outside source then you one definitely not entitled to anything

I thought Amanda did like killing? Or was it just ungrateful people?

If we're going on her movie logic.

She felt like if she couldn't change due to the fact that she went from drug addiction to self harm that no one could change hence why she didn't actually test them she just killed them.

The only person she remotely enjoyed or felt like they deserved it was Eric Matthews and she didn't even kill him she just left him for dead
