I think some people may run this when oni drops. Healing against him is going to be a must I think. So games may go slower and last longer? Possibly?
Actually healing against the only is probably worse than staying injured.
Hitting a healthy survivor allows him to basically get nearly half his power

I mean it goes for both parties it's better to be safe then sorry.
Most of the time I don't know if a killer has no one escapes death but I typically cleanse every time I come across just because if they do and I didn't cleanse totems it's my own fault.
When it comes to decisive strike are typically just take the DS so it doesn't appear later but if there are other survivors buzzing around then it's more effective for me just leave that person on the ground and avoid decisive strike

For Ghost Face, it's canonical that Ghost Face is not a singular person, but anyone who wears the mask taking on the persona of the Ghost Face. Similar to the Legion, except anybody can pick up the mask and become a new Ghost Face. As for Halloween and other horror licenses, it's apparent that the Entity can take people from multiple universes. It's easier to believe than to think that the events of all these movies (and Stranger Things) all happened in the DBD universe.
Will there be a very weird scenario because in Stranger things, the Halloween movies are definitely a thing. Max even goes trick or treating is Michael Myers.
So did Steven and Nancy just start fangirling when they saw Michael you know before he started attacking them.
Did Steven and Nancy feed the Myers

Lorewise, we only know that the Entity is unaffected by time, so it takes Killers (and possibly survivors, even though they all seem to come from a not too distant past or future) from any point in time.
There's no info or proof that the Entity can take Killers or Survivors from alternate realities (I don't have the link, but in an interview Devs have said that Ghostface and Myers are from the same reality/timeline, clarifying Ghostface's love of horror movies and him recognizing the iconic Myers). So unless we assume the Entity can do this, the only way to allow this would be if the Entity took a younger Rin as a survivor, then escaped only to be butchered by her father and become a Killer.
Devil's advocate though, it makes sense as to why the Entity focused on the Yamaoka family after Rin's escape- it could even have been interested in not just her father for revenge on Rin, but her ancestor (The Oni) as another potential Killer.
Are The Entity is unaffected by time it doesn't seem to be able to pull two of the same beings into it.
That is why besides Legion there is only one instance of each character there is only ever one Yui or Min.
The only reason Legion breaks this trend is because they're made up of four individual people so it is possible to have each of the Legion members doing separate trials or possibly being in the same trial.

From what I understand, dbd mobile's deaf thingy is 100% visual
Alright if you want to use bad example you would have to balance a whole system around that.
Dead by daylight mobile already has that as their core system Dead by daylight on other platforms does not.
This would mean that you would either have to make it ubiquitous with the other platforms or you would have to make a separate version that can be enabled and disabled.
Then you would have to balance around that feature and some of the features would be next to impossible to convey with visual effects.
For example Michael and Amanda's breathing are both very loud distinct and reverberating this is a clear way to tell if they're around you when they're in stealth mode.
How would you be able to communicate visually without completely ruining the Stealth of those characters.

I don't see how that applies to deaf mode.
Let me give you an example say a mobile game uses Vibrations to notify the player on something deaf people could typically use this to play the game but you really can't use vibrations to notify somebody about something on PC especially if they're using mouse and keyboard
-
Uncontrollable rages of very easy emotion to use to your advantage.
For the most part The Entity won't have to waste time with torture. Like trapper
Incentives to to sweeten the deal for the Killers. Clown
It's not as easy as people who are just outright willing to be Killers like Michael and ghostface.
But it's a lot easier in comparison to the other methods to point their anger at a specific target aka the survivors and let them go wild
-
It's pretty hard to pinpoint exactly the year of her auction mainly because the name of the race is practically meaningless.
In real life we have something called the formula 3000 international championships and it doesn't take place in the Year 3000 if you haven't guessed.
If you're trying to look at the Aesthetics of her bike that's also pretty ubiquitous right now we have loads of car and motorbike designs with neon functions on them.
Pinpointing the exact date of is pretty difficult if you're looking on a current time frame the latest year in the entity's abduction fest has been (2016 to 2017) and this was Feng Min.
Due to the prevalence of bike races and the bikes aesthetic I would probably put Yui abduction roughly about 2015 to 2018 if I'm giving it my best bet

I never heard of that being a thing
Some of the features that mobile games used is typically because they don't have the resources that other platforms do these features typically are used to compensate for that.
However when playing on those platforms if you were to add these features in they would feel incredibly out of place. Mainly because you're compensating for something that doesn't need compensation.
-
Autodidact is a very interesting perk when you get all your stacks it can be incredibly strong but even then it's still very reliant on skill checks.
It falls under the bubble of RNG can damn you hard even with its old ptb version which was a lot stronger.
There could be many solutions to this like giving an increased chance of skill checks but then you run into the issue of the perk then becoming incredibly easy to stack and incredibly easy to benefit from.
So honestly I don't know what to really say about it.
-
Features that are typically on a mobile version don't exactly translate well to different platforms
-
Isn't ghostface also better than Myers
-
Well comparing something that comes with a clear down side with something that doesn't.
Fragrant tuft of hair has a downside it means that the survivors are able to keep themselves hidden they could pretty much lock you out of tier 3 for a while.
It's why gimmick builds like furtive chase +Judith journal and soon-to-be nemesis and Judith journal are paired up with it because it helps sidestep the down sides.
There was literally no downside to using prayer beads or yakuoke amulet

You know exhaustion perks are basically kinda placeholders for survivors having an actual ability though? Killers have powers which survivors have exhaustion perks... the devs could have gave all survivors a kind of individual exhaustion perk like deathgarden gives vambraces but is what it is.
Which is why most survivors don't have one and Meg has two.
Whatever your views on exhaustion perks are, I don't really know how mentioning this has anything to do with the point I made

I never cared about Adrenaline as it rewards the team for doing well or gives u a chance at EGC when hatch is shut, but I personally feel NoeD is a good perk used by bad players who haven't really got a handle on the game. It literally rewards failure like Rancor, Bitter Murmur, Tinker, and Fire Up does. Anything that rewards you for playing badly imho is a bad perk even with a good concept.
When it comes to rewarding failure it often depends on how you play it.
I know there are a lot of people who are fans of running in game builds like rancour blood warden, Noed and remember me.
They don't typically run it because it covers their failures they run it because they tend to find endgame the most entertaining part of the match.
There are lots of perk that in hindsight reward failure unbreakable, dead hard, most of the endgame perks you've mentioned.
In general I don't think none of these are bad perks

They said: “whoever gets to the hatch first wins”
Killers: “Must slug for the 4K”
Yep, whoever gets there first, yet hatch spawns literally next to the hooked survivor and killers slugs to not have to deal with last survivor getting “lucky”. 🙄
But keys are broken and hatch stand offs were bad... now but we just have slug offs.
Old hatch standoff was legitimately two people being too stubborn to just let the other one win.
There was no party more at fault when it came to old hatch stand off. Both sides feel like they are entitled to winning the Hatch stand off so none of them gave up.
In my opinion keys and slugging for a 4K are perfectly fine if you have a key and you want to use it to escape that's your choice You don't do it with personally spite the killer you do it because it's a safer option than doing the gens.
Same thing with slugging you don't do it to personally spite the survivor you do it because it's a safer option than risking them getting the hatch or opening a gate

You win... I didn’t take a crutch therefore yours should activate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can we please break this whole crutch perk and condescension for people's builds.
If someone wants to run adrenaline or no one escapes death they have all the right to you shouldn't judge them based on what build they run.
If you don't like a perk that's fine but you should never actively try to go out of your way to make people feel bad for running it

I only really use it if I'm playing wraith pig or trapper.

It also helps me sneak up on people as wraith or Amanda a lot easier

-
To be careful of the hate you give him it would make it very easy for survivors to to cancel out your mind games if they could just see you over the top of loops.
That's why short Killers who can break line of sight tend to have the best advantage when it comes to mind gaming survivors at a loop
-
Honestly it needs a grant reduction and maybe cancelling out the injured music. But if those can't be done definitely a blood point bonus
Aside from that it's probably the best thing to run if you're doing an injured build as you don't have to go out of your way to get injured.
-
I can't take both Amanda and Legion but they need an add-on pass.
Amanda I'd like to have more than 4 add-ons the actually worth using. The rest are extremely conditional or outright useless. She could also use some tweaks with her base kit
Legion just like Amanda there are about 3 to 4 add-ons that are actually worth running.
Franks mixtape and stab wounds study need to be reworked.
Fuming mixtape needs a rework as Legions own power can basically cancel its effectiveness.
Besides iridescent button, the duration add-ons and the new pins coming with the next chapter all the add-ons need to be reworked or adjusted
-
That creates three issues.
1) That would mean that you would have to balance for two different versions of a Killer.
It's one of the reasons why they said they wouldn't give two separate versions of Freddy old Freddy and new Freddy.
2) it would be really annoying for people who want to play specific Legion members if you want to play Susie now she's locked behind a power and if you want to play a Frank he might not have a power you're interested in.
3) if you keep Julie has the same Legion you're not changing the problems of legion you're basically offering a altered version with Frank but that's it. That won't address the current problems with Legion.
Honestly the ability to chain hits and vault pallets is great it just need something that makes it more of a benefit and less of a hindrance

So, you're gonna punish ME for being randomly assigned potatoes? Wow.
I work for my place in this game. I do generators, I go for unhooks. I do everything I can for the team. If the other 3 idiots don't know how to work a generator for once, that's not MY fault and I shouldn't be punished for it because "buh, muh fer keh"
I have literally always hate this argument because it reeks of entitlement.
Even as a solo survival or someone playing The Lone Wolf play Style you're still in a 1 v 4 game your success is dictated based on your teammates whether you work with them or not.
A lot of people are very quick to devalue or disown teammates who they consider bad but if a team carries you I have never seen a survivor say well I technically don't deserve the win so killer kill me.
So if a team carries then you're allowed to take that Victory but if you get let down by potatoes you shouldn't be punished for that
-
Slugging for the 4K is not a new thing it has literally always been there.
The only reason you might see an increasing it is because before situations where no gens or only one generator has been completed used to be game over for the survivor so as a killer there was never any need to slug.
Now hatch spawns no matter what for the last survivor a lot of Killers don't want to risk it so not only do you get the killers who slug and anyway but killers who dominate will still probably slug just in case.
-
That pretty much goes for almost every character just look at how Min looks in the spark of Madness trailer or How David looks in the darkness Among Us trailer.
Trailer animation rendering and in game animation rendering are two very different things

This meme I saw on reddit and last comment fits emotions when trying to get the the healing challenges
-
Lockers exist to avoid BBQ
If you're running spine chill and it activates don't heal if you're not running that just don't heal in the terror radius. That's how you handle nurses
Discordance if you think the killer has this perk then the answer is very simple don't work on a gen with another Survivor.

Well if we are going down that road, then what about a survivors emblem? The one for escaping?
You are slugging number 3 to stop number 4. It's spiteful but does that mean you can't do it? No.
I never tried to say you can't do it, for whatever reason you want to. What I did do is point out it's spiteful gameplay. I stand by that. :)
Which is why I brought up the key scenario it's not spiteful to use a key.
If I want to escape I typically have no care on whether my method of escape makes the killer feel happy or not I don't do it to actively spite them but if I want my emblem I have to escape whether that's with a key so be it
-
@Thrrun said:

It is spiteful gameplay. If you slug number 3 to stop number 4 getting a chance at the hatch.
It does not matter the reason you do it, it's a spiteful thing todo. You yourself know you are doing it to stop them getting the hatch.
Again I will repeat, play the game how you want. But the fact remains the same it's spiteful gameplay.
Again I will say, both sides can be spiteful. Spiteful gameplay is not limited to only killers.
Implying it spiteful it means that you did it specifically to go against the survivor however my emblem system doesn't give two craps about a 50/50 percent chance for the survivor.
If the 4th survivor is not dead I don't get my iridescent I don't gain bonus points because I gave the last survivor a chance.
-
@Thrrun said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/857106#Comment_857106
Yes, it is spiteful gameplay, very much so.
The only reason you do it would be to stop the last guy getting the hatch. That's called being spiteful. You are not giving someone a chance to find the hatch and get out, because you want to spite them of that so you can guarantee your kill.
If a killer is ashamed of being called spiteful then they should not act in a spiteful way.
It is in no way spiteful.
As a killer if I want to secure emblems maybe for an achievement maybe for the challenges I'm going to play the most efficient way to get there betting on a 50/50 percent chance is not efficient.
Even though I find it annoying if a survivor uses a key I don't consider it spiteful. Using a key gives them the highest probability to escape rather than trying to risk gens it's a 2-man situation for example.
-
If the killer is bloodlusting and you're not at a god loop were you could force them to break the pallet like killer shack.
My main suggestion would be to find somewhere you could break line of sight if the chase ends so does the blood lust

No ######### someone isn't gonna enjoy stuff that's not fun. It's how the human mind works. Killers always act like survivors are test dummies that are supposed to act the way they are supposed to.
Both sides do this the amount of times I've heard a survivor order me to play a certain way because it's fun for them is ridiculous.
As I've always stated as long as you're not doing something bannable play the way you want to play.

3 kills is a win though.
By that same logic isn't a three man escape still a win.
If the killer decides to defend the last hook to guarantee at least one kill why don't the survivors just leave instead of 99 and the gates and trying to desperately get the save
-
That's a problem with furtive chase being badly designed more than anything else
-

You could also simply not kick gens, or run ruin, or slug a ds player. You could simply not play the game if we're getting to the brass tacks. "Just don't do it" isn't a valid response. It's part of the game and needs to be taken into account every time. Sorry. You're wrong.
Sorry to burst your false equivalence even kicking a generator is something that happens naturally you don't have to run ruin and you don't have to slug for decisive strike.
Nice job trying to compare those two to kicking generators to make your false equivalency seem more valid.
That's like someone camping and then getting surprised when I get gen rushed just don't camp. The ability to campers in the game just because it is doesn't mean you have to do it especially if it's obvious that it's detrimental
Actually read what I'm writing this time BLINDING the killer and HEAD ON stun are things you have to go out of your way to do do you can survive just as well without doing it.
You hinder yourself by not kicking a generator you don't hinder yourself by not blinding the Killer.
I never once said that the survivor has stop looping.
However blinding the killer requires you to bring an item in use the item and aim it at the killer's face for a couple of seconds this breaks the flow of gameplay it's something you have to go out of your way to do.
Head on you have to go into a locker for 3 seconds and wait for the killer to go within Range and then fast whole out of it once again something you are going out of your way to do.
Considering you have to go out of your way to do both of these things yes don't do it is a valid statement.

The moment you "test it" and he does have it though all he has to do is activate his power and hit you real fast and you are going down in the next seconds no matter what while he just laugh at you. If he has DW reduction addons it will be even faster. It can be abused in so many ways - injured or not it always work, for example it also disable the use of flashlights too. And this is just one perk doing all this ... THe obsession change by itself can be broken in so many ways that needs to be balanced that the Oblivous effect is just an overkill for just a pallet stun/flashlight blind/Head on stun that happens all the time and it is needed to play the game normally. I understand people want something to change for Legion but this is not the answer ..
And as somene else mentioned the Oblivious effect is really problematic and devs have to be really careful. They can't just put it on random perks like that because it creates a lot of problems. Giving it to one killer is one thing. Giving it to all the killers is another story that I don't really like
No it is bloody not needed all the time.
As I've stated in previous posts you have to go out of your way to blind or head on a killer you could simply just not do it.
Contrary to popular belief you don't need to bring a flashlight into a game and for the most part unless you have a plan on or you're trying to do a coordinated save wasting time staying in a locker just for a head on stun isn't beneficial to anybody.
Also it is not impossible to just drop the pallet early.
-
@indieeden7 said:
They're probably going to change DW so that it no longer goes down in chase either or within a certain radius of the killer. The perk won't be completely useless on Legion but it just won't have any unwanted effects.
Then the Legion will just moonwalk.
By the way I'm not advocating for Nemesis or deep wounds to be nerfed because of this interaction I'm literally part of the people who are saying just dropped the pallet early.
However it wouldn't be too hard for a Legion who gets blinded or stun to literally just moonwalk if it's a choice that will make the timer go down.
Beast of prey needs to change that's an outright fact and and I'd also say stab wounds study and Franks mixtape need to change because in general they're bad add-ons.
If an add-on is only good whilst you're cheesing it then it's not a good add on period
-
So basically the exact same function as disconnecting but you get to keep your points

If it's that much of a concern to you don't run object of obsession. Complaining about that is like complaining about getting tunnelled when you're using a perk

Neither are fine. They changed legion for a reason, anything that brings old legion back is not fine
While I don't agree your people who do cheese out the Deep wound timer
Beast of prey is something the survivors are unable to counter to counter or avoid as it's attached to the bloodlust mechanic.
Nemesis has the same counter as spirit Fury and enduring Drop The pallet early.
Also don't blind or head on the Legion if you think they have the perk.
While the cheese aspect is still scummy if you nemesis is easily avoidable beast of prey is not
-
Beast of prey is actual problem because there's no way to counter it.
With nemesis literally you've dealt with the enduring spirit fury combo for the longest time just do the exact same thing drop the pallet early.
If you don't stun the Legion they don't get the perk but if you notice that the obsession is switching without someone being saved off hook yet you still actively try to stun Legion then that's your problem and you kinda lose the right to complain.
As for for locker stuns and blinding you have to actively go out of your way to do that so just don't do that.
