    Noone. It's freakin dumb.

Survivors hardly know each other. Not to mention, they trying to survive, not to ######### each other, unlike horror movie teens from 90s.

Like, seriously. Imagine you barely escaped psycho with chainsaw and arrived to campfire. Your hands are shaking, blood pulses inside your head, but you still alive. The only thing you want - or, better say, capable of - just sit and watch campfire. The same campfire, which you hate the most, as it's a symbolic reminder that you can't escape for real. You know exactly, that this campfire is fake, just like all your hopes, since you tried to burn your hand with it.

But, still, you can't stop watching it. You aren't bold enough to look away. If you look away, you might catch eyecontact with someone, who wasn't as lucky as you and couldn't escape chainsaw psycho. You can't help but wonder, is it your fault. Maybe you were able to save them?

You trying your best to help others. Not because you like them, or they like you. Simply because you want to remember that there is something human left in you. Because it's right thing to do, even if you never see them in the fog again. Like it usually happens.

But last time... You couldn't help. And this thought haunts you. Thought, that partially because of you someone was chainsawed in half.

    *Laughs in Feng Min*

The journal entry about Feng Min

"A young woman surprised me the other day. She is another guest in this nightmare I can not seem to wake up from. She came running, passed by a wounded girl and didn’t stop. Just a glance behind her, and she was off again. With a determined look on her face, like she had something important to do. A lone wolf maybe? I am not sure what I should call this new person."

I love Min (favourite character and main) but just from this lore extract she doesn't seem to have any really care to help out her fellow survivors.

This lore extract also implies that there would be nothing detrimental for saving and helping this person it really wouldn't put Min at risk in the slightest she just considers what she's doing more important than helping others.

If you want a gameplay comparison she's the type of survivor will immediately open the exit gate and leave rather than helping the people who just got down.

I like a lot of the changes, but I sort of disagree with the trap status effect add-ons. Those need to straight up be removed. They encourage tunnelling and Pig players already do enough of that. We don't need any more of them. I'd also want an add-on that completely changes the game. I had an idea where survivors start with a trap on their heads, but they couldn't remove it and everytime a gen gets completed the trap would keep reactivating. There would only be 3 boxes on the map, but each of them are guaranteed, BUT THEN (there's a lot of conditions here I know) as a trade-off survivors wouldn't be able to see the auras of the boxes.

I personally don't think you should remove a whole category of items because of you Pig players decide to tunnel. Especially when you consider the pig players who tunnel don't use the status condition add-ons

At the same token, I want more selfish perks for survivors in the mix. In the lore, they don't all trust each other as you see in game, so they should be able to show that in game. Right now there is no risk to working together.

Feng is so far the most selfish survivor lore wise.

Technician being a perk that only affects her and actively discourages you from work on a gen with another person.

Alert is basically a perk that her keep herself safe whilst the killer is preoccupied with another person so she could avoid that area.

Lithe is an exhaustion perk which are all self serving with the only non-selfish one debatably being head on

She is a lone wolf for a reason.

There is also the lore about her abandoning injured people to do her own thing despite helping them not putting her at risk.

Either your PC needs to be fixed, Survivor queues must be even worse in your part of the world! Are you a low rank killer?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1184887#Comment_1184887

Hmmm... I believe BHVR are balancing on solo survivors which is fair but not for killers when they face SWFs, perhaps keep a solo game for the original immersion feeling and offer a SWF option when the killers are buffed up to match the SWFs?

It's fine to buff solo players

The main problem is that they will never come close to survive with friends because they just don't have the same communication capabilities.

Without the ability to relay vital and accurate information solo survivors will not be able to hit that benchmark.

It's sad to say but it's baseline perks will not do this. It will give solo survivors information but aside from that not much else it would pretty much be like the solo survivor is just running those perks.

A group of survive with friends on the other hand will have their communication increased which will widen the gap between solo and Swfs even more. Swf will have a reduction in miscommunication because everyone can visually confirm certain details and they can reaffirm other details.

As for what this will do to to the matter it will just cause it to stagnate even more what's the point of using these other perks when you have them in your base kit already. Kindred for example if you make that bass kit without the killer detection what's the point of running the actual kindred just run the oversaturated meta perks.

I'm not saying an attempt to shouldn't be made however I'm saying is it's going to be a lot more difficult then just add x perk to basekit

  • All I read is give us a gothic Feng Min skin

Well I would argue that most of our survivors don't know how to repair a generator lol.

I think I saw somewhere that a dev had mentioned that the entity gives the survivors the power to repair them as well as being responsible for giving them their aura reading abilities.

So I think we could interprete that it gives the older survivors the knowledge to know that "okay these things are how I can escape". If that makes sense.

I always thought they learnt through trial and error considering they're in this endless game for how long now they probably would have just figured out how to fix a generator.

  • The problem is that survive with friends has an advantage that you will just never be able to get for solo players and that's communication.

You can never give effective communication with perks, won't be able to relay information like where hex totems are, where the killer is and what they're doing among other things.

Adding perks like kindred and bonds to the base kit won't help the way you think It will. Sadly it would do nothing to actually shorten the gap why because it will make communication among survive with friends a lot easier essentially you would be strengthening survive with friends main advantage over solo players and solo players will not get a big enough boost to close the gap. It's most likely going to stay the same if not widen

Honestly very. Though I wouldn't personally mind a 15% toolbox efficiency buff using it. Paired with streetwise to make for gen builds. I mean it would be two perk slots for faster gens, possibly 3 with prove thyself. Seems fair.

Personally I think technician should reduce the sounds of the actual generator as well as give you stackable 2% increase to generator repair speed every time you get a great. Capping at 8%

This will still keep its benefit of being a noob friendly perk but also give it some stealth and progression advantages for more skilled players to use.

( maybe balanced to 1% if it's too overpowered with stake out)

  • @Tarvesh said:

Technician - Increases toolbox efficiency by 50% and increases repair speed by 1% for each other survivor repairing a generator.

Considering technician doesn't affect other survivors on generator because it's a lone wolf perk wouldn't that be counterintuitive

Right. He worked really hard. People never have potato teammates and do most of the work in the match as the last survivor. Killers ALWAYS play super sportsmanlike. LUL And the killer definitely doesn't have an advantage in finding AND closing the hatch already. 🙄

The idea that a good player should have to take a "L" because their team wasn't as strong and everything about end-game as a solo is stacked against you, is bullshit. The LEAST the devs could do is space the doors out. Especially since Killers insist on making maps smaller and easier to traverse.

I get that Killers want to be able to catch survivors like people who fish with dynamite, but you keep tuning the game that way and your 15 minute lobby wait will be a 2 hour lobby wait because survivors just won't play.

This stuff about having bad teammates is incredibly hypocritical because if you have teammates that carry you people usually still take the win instead of being like well I didn't do anything I might as well give the killer a kill.

It's a bit entitled when you can pick and choose whether the disregard the team or not. If they're bad you disregard them state that they shouldn't bring you down if they're better than you and basically carry you you for some reason now they're acceptable and you get a share in the Victory.

Before you say anything when I play survivor it's usually solo survivor so I know how it is to have potato teammates but I don't act like that entitles me to a win.

  • @White_Owl said:

The "gen rush" problem people these days keep complaining about is the result of years of stripping away from survivors tools to fight back. When survivors were at their absolute peak (insta-everything, double pallets etc) nobody complained about gen rush because survivors wanted to interact with the killer and generators were kind of a secondary objective. Now survivors are much weaker on their own, and their best tool is generators to get out asap.

Also, the Hag needs an overhaul. She's awful to play against and most people suck at/hate playing her.

The reason it wasn't being complained about it because they were more problems to complain about.

Survivors literally just had so much in the way of Defence that they could not only have one person rush through gens whilst the others bullied the killer into submission. Hell it's why gen jockeys were thing.

The problem literally went from being able to bully the killer into submission whilst one or two people rushed gens.

To not being able to be the killer as badly so you just rush gens.

Ironically enough the gen rush problem was still a thing it's just that survivors preferred bullying the Killers and they could have done the both now they can't it's just a gen rush.

If you looked up some videos it won't take long for you to find videos of 4 generators popping within 60 seconds

  • Genuine camping and tunneling doesn't happen as much as you think it does I get that it's annoying but sometimes use some common and perspective.

Maybe the Trapper isn't camping you maybe you should be more annoyed at the Meg head who keeps looping around the hook.

You do know the hillbilly has eyes he can see your teammates crouching all around the hook maybe it's the reason why he sticks around not to specifically camp you.

When you get pulled off the hook maybe it's not the smartest idea to get on the gen super close to the hook. 90% or not whether you were recently unhooked or not the killer is it going to take kindly to you doing a gen. ( this also goes for doing totems or healing close to the hook)

Keep your eyes sharp when you get pulled off hook if you notice that the person who saved you has dipped and is nowhere in sight. Then the killer comes back and you're the only person they could see maybe that's the reason they chase you instead psychically trying to find the other Survivor.

When all the generators have been completed honestly the killer has nothing else to patrol don't be surprised if they just decide to guard the last Hook.

This is just me saying this is a Pig main. no your trap does not make you immune to being chased know if I chase you when you have a reverse bear trap because you're running around like a headless chicken does not mean I'm tunneling you.

Legion is my secondary main so let me put this out too. Stop wasting your dead hard on frenzy nine times out of ten and usually just hitting you for information and I'm going to leave if you dodge it or use dead hard essentially forcing me out of frenzy guess who I'm going to just go after whether you've been recently unhooked or not

Now I'm not saying genuine camping and tunneling doesn't happen what I'm saying is maybe it doesn't happen as much as people claim it does.

Well, kinda, being able to dodge a hit by jumping in a locker and then having a Head On ready would be similar to dodging a hit by vaulting and having Lithe ready. The only real annoyance is the lack of movement, which I agree with, but time-wise it would have the same gap increase as using lithe through a window or having sprintburst ready at 99% in a chase. The whole lack of usability in a chase makes it a very weird addition to exhaustion perks, and as a support perk it only works if you manage to be unseen. Personally, I'd even be up for a mere 1 second stun if it gives the user a speedboost afterwards.

Yes but it doesn't take any skill.

Over exhaustion perks take a decent amount of skill and planning to use them effectively with this you could literally jump into a locker made Chase and have a killer not fall for it and miss a swing instead get ready to pull you out only to be stunned.

Then you're punishing the killer for playing well with no way to counter it.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

If your referencing the teaser image that was the community jumping to conclusions and acting like their headcanon was gospel.

  • God forbid someone use a strategy that no one could do anything about to try to get an advantage over the other player.

    Both parties do it

99% exit Gates you literally can't do anything about it as a killer as there's no way to regress it and they'll always just be one tap.

Working on the generators totems or going for hook saves once you have decisive strike activated because you know the killer can't grab you or pick you up.

How dare a killer try to use slugging as a strategy to get the best results.

  • I like the idea it would be nice if I'm using something like alert and someone can see where the killer is if they're close to me.

However my one problem with this idea is as a lot of people have pointed out object of obsession it would essentially give people around me free view of the killer without them being spotted.

I main pig and their a lot of instances wherre a dash had gotten me hits where i couldnt m1

It's useful at Loops but it often relies on the survivor making a mistake.

The fact it only works out small to some medium loops already makes it situational

Something I learnt from playing against high rank survivors as Pig and play against pig myself is that you have a little bit of time to force the pig to commit in one direction.

The mistake most survivors make is immediately running the opposite direction of her ambush so by the time she turns around you have no time to react.

Due to the fact that she has a slight ramp up speed you have time to wait and see which direction she's fully going to commit to before running.

As for hitting The Obsession if you're a pig main you should know that trying to force out an ambush is never a smart idea. ( it's why Demi Logorgon's shred just does the job better. Shred is more meant for the offensive chases rather than mind game at loops)

Does this mean her ambush is bad no it's just it can be situational. If I have to rank it I would say it falls between the middle of good and situational.

Honestly all Crouch and ambush really need is just some quality of life tweaks and it's fine.

Grabbing from Crouch ( I can elaborate on this later)

Slightly increase the Crouch movement speed.

Reduce the charge time of the actual ambush

  • In my context it's pretty much a new player basically between 20 to 15 who usually just have about 1 or 2 perks

if you use it against anyone else who's not just a new player then you're just using it as a spiteful insult.

Believe it or not some days people just have a off day. You end up playing like a potato as a survivor you will know you're normally not same thing with killer.

I usually wouldn't consider these people baby killers.

If you're talking about the sadly most use definition of baby killer.

It's typically anyone who plays in a way somebody mildly dislikes.

    1) used x killer because they are overpowered

    2) used x perk because it's for "noobs" ( usually aimed towards noed but I've seen others)

    3) used x add-ons because they are overpowered or for "noobs" you could see a trend

    4) camping ( regardless if the killer actually camped or had a reason to camp if they did)

    5) tunneling ( regardless of the of the killer actually tunneled or had a reason if they did)

    6) use Moris ( even if you wait until death hook to use it.

    7) you manage to escape ( not as rare as you think some people would just be toxic regardless of what happened in the match)

    8) if you died (read above probably even more baffling considering if you managed to lose to a baby killer what does that make you)

  • @Aneurysm said:

All she needs is the rng of her traps toned down and her mostly useless addons reworked.

-her dash attack is situational but extremely useful at certain loops.

-forcing survivors' heads to explode by blocking boxes, crouching to stay not in a chase etc is a massive waste of time. It's much quicker to kill them normally.

I'd have them give back her 28 metre terror radius too. I know they want consistency with 115/32 and 110/24 but also nurse, huntress, myers

In fact it's a lot more efficient to just camp somebody than to follow them around with a reverse bear trap to ensure that there

Well, are those their actual names? For the most part, probably not. They all have codedenames but I don't think the majority of them actually have in-universe names; Benedict may call Evan "the Trapper", but even though we all know that name is significant as players, in-universe there's not much actual communication going on between anyone. The names are for our convenience but don't seem to have in-universe significance.

I think for the most part survival is just reference them as beasts or Monsters.

The only person we know who references them by name is the Observer. As he called hillbilly Max

  • How dare they not let people ruin everybody else's fun.

If this disconnection didn't ruin the game for everybody else in the match there wouldn't be a problem but it does.

However if you're someone who disconnects frequently enough for it to be active problem to you maybe you should reevaluate why you play the game.

Side note yes I know there are people who are actually innocent people subject to trolling Bugs or disconnected by servers even though it's wrong I hope those individual cases can be sorted out.

However if you disconnect because you didn't like a match or some other nonsense like that you shouldn't get any leniency because there's a quarantine.

What's your essentially saying is you want behaviour to stop punishing you for ruining other people's fun. Why should the other players have to deal with that when they are also under quarantine.

  • From my experience they never usually let me hit them out they just want me to see them leaving up close.

Like those specifically wait until I'm just about in hitting range before running out.

For the most part I just want you to leave whenever you want to give me the Hit or not

Survivors can to forget the killer is always the last person to leave the match please don't drag out my time more than it already has to be

  • @Science_Guy said:

Benedict Baker seems to have named all the killers up to the Clown.

Maybe he named the ones after that too, but it's hard to say considering we still have no official in-game or real-life answer for why we stopped getting descriptions of the new characters from Benedict at that point.

If that's the case then how were the he know about certain names.

Looking at the base design of Herman Carter doctor isn't the first thing that pops into your head hell dentist or scientist is more likely than doctor. However Herman was referenced as the doctor outside of the entity's realm so how would that name be established to him inside it.

If you consider he also named them after the Clown then this fact definitely goes before Legion.

How would he have any idea what their gang was called considering the killer code name is the name of the Gang.

  • The only thing that fixated needs is to remove the uninjured requirement

  • Meg- Alpha b*tch- This tends to be the female version of the rival archetype. They are usually incredibly antagonistic to the main characters and are often considered the secondary antagonist after the Killer. Whether or not they make up with the main characters they often die near the end with some exceptions. Example Melissa Paur: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.

(Jake,Dwight,Jane) Meat Sacks- these guys are usually just there today and pad out the body count you'll often get names and vague hints of a trait but ultimately they die throughout the film to pad out the count. No example needed

Nea -Opening Kill- Usually the first kill to establish the threat. Whether their death triggers much motion in the plot tends to fluctuate but usually them in purposes to show the killer is a threat. Example Shelley: Valentine

Zarnia/Ace- non-believer or doubters- These people are usually characters that the victims go to for help they usually don't believe them and in an effort to prove that there's nothing to worry about usually in the getting themselves killed. Example Elsa Shivers: I Know What You Did Last Summer

David- Jock/Douche- usually the male equivalent of the rival. They are often very aggressive and usually deal with their problems with violence typically they tried to take on the killer more because of ego than sacrifice and end up dying as a result.( if there's no main slasher killer they are usually killed through arrogance or the main characters turning on them) Carter: Final Destination

Adam- Nerd/ common sense- These characters are usually the smartest and the one's with common sense. They often die early because you can't usually have someone of common sense live. (be careful when making this type of character they can very easily transition from being the one with common sense to the one that gets very annoying with how much they poke out the horror meta yet still fall for it).

Jeff- red herring - usually a person with something off-putting about them everyone usually thinks that they're the suspicious one they often get proven innocent after they are murdered or found dead. Eve: black Christmas

Yui- Sacrifice - usually the strong character often end up sacrificing themselves for the main character or other people if it's other people they usually ask the main character to keep them safe. Betty: Resident Evil

Feng Min- Unlikely Friend- this character is usually someone who is either on neutral terms or not good terms with the main characters throughout the course of the movie they often become close of the main character usually among the two or three survivors if it's not a solo survivor movie. Gale: Scream

Claudette- best friend- usually super close to the main character the survival rating is very hard to predict either they will be revenge fuel for the main character to win against the Killer they managed to live alongside the Unlikely friend. Beth: The descent

Kate- Final girl/ Hero- strong knows how to fight back and can inspire hope within her friends. Yui is probably the only person I say could contest this role but she does fit the sacrifice role better. Sally Hardesty: Texas chainsaw

  • The Saw chapter was the chapter where there was an actual alternative outfit

  • I love the Legion but Darkness Among Us was the worst chapter.

    The concept of the legion.

Even though I personally think this is stupid and the community jumping to conclusions. Lots of people were annoyed at the theme of the Killer instead of being a killer with split personality or people fused into one.

It's literally just four random separate teenage friends with an edge complex.

    Legion gameplay.

Initial Legion was very weak but incredibly broken at the same time.

Not broken in terms of being strong of a broken in terms of having absolutely no counterplay.

If Legion was chasing you, you were going to go down no matter what your skill level you can probably distract them for 5 minutes but ya still were going down just because of how the power work.

Essentially they managed to do the impossible of having an incredibly underpowered and weak killer be absolutely broken at the same time.

    Map

Mount Ormond I don't have to even begin to explain how much of a travesty this map is. I love it based on design I like snow Maps but gameplay wise it's awful.

    Jeff.

With the exception of Adam the most forgettable survivor in the game.

    His perks are very meh

    His design is meh

    Backstory.

Both legion and Jeff had pretty standard backstories with some interesting elements here and there but nothing special.

Legion have an interesting dynamic and their backstory but besides Frank the others aren't really fleshed out that much debatably Susie is probably the next most fleshed out. (I can't really blame them too much they had to flesh out four different characters so I am curious on how they will handle their archives)

Jeff is pretty standard nothing honestly too special

    Fated Encounter.

I get it this is the first time it happened that the killer and the survivor have a genuine confirmed connection.

( It's not location-based like Nea and Nurse, inspiration based like Feng Min and doctor)

But Jeff and most likely just Frank having one encounter is not all that special are positive but not enough to bring the backstory to top tier levels.

It wouldn't be long like huntress, half a second would be enough to give survivors some time react.

The ability to quickfire is extremely useful for getting survivors who were out of position. As deathSlinger needs this for him to be able to use his power effectively.

You give survivors too much of a chance to react they have a chance to reposition themselves so even if he does get a hit it's basically useless

  • You would have to be careful with giving him wind up.

Unlike Huntress he cannot down a survivor without hitting them so even if you do get spared you still have a chance to break it and not get downed.

Now with a wind-up this could lead to people very easily getting behind cover or an object

  • I feel like people tend to forget that despite being shy and naive Susie is kind of a bit of an edgy b**ch.

She clearly is a kleptomaniac and she hates the idea of anyone being joyful especially on Christmas.

Also while she was opposed to killing people like the janitor it seems that she had no problem attacking or injuring people like she stabbed that random guy with the money wad

  • Not really the way you counter blindness when it comes to the killer hooking survivors is literally just to look where hook bubble is then all you have to do is just walk around in that General area you'll find the survivor in question.

Blindness in itself is an already incredibly niche and situational status effect I love all the status effects it probably is the worst.

Nerfing it any further is not a smart idea.

This is coming from somebody who used to run third seal Legion before frenzy hits what are restricted as special not basic.

As long as the survivors are being competent and vigilant they shouldn't have any trouble saving their teammates.

  • Pig:

    1) Just make ruleset number 2 base kit I have not heard any valid reason not to do this.

If you say it could be detrimental to have it base then let me post this why is something that is detrimental an ultra rare.

    2) make the new ruleset number two anytime a generator is completed whilst a bear trap is on a survivors head that trap will lose x amount of time.

It will match up with theme of Saw. Pop generators and potentially increase your own chance of survival but at the same time you're severely decreased the survival of anyone who has a bear trap.( ultimately if you're too selfish you put yourself in a dangerous position cause your other teammates are dead or on the brink of death now you have the 1v1 Pig)

    3) Amanda's secret has got to go the add-on is the worst add-on in the game and it is literally shooting yourself in the Foot for no reason. Hell at least the other shoot yourself in the foot add-ons give you a bloodpoint bonus Amanda's secret doesn't have the common decency to do that

    4) Buff the range of Amanda's letter even if you have to completely take away her bare traps to do so.

With one trap and two jigsaw boxes it's not even efficient time waster and since traps in endgame no longer do anything you can't even use it to keep someone in the game longer whilst you deal with other people.

    5) Allow Amanda to grab survivors from crouch mode. But Volfa that's too overpowered how survivor cope.... the same way you deal with Michael and ghostface use your eyes. Pig will literally be moving slower than the both of them when she's crouched.

This also gives her an option on whether an ambush or a grab would be more viable. For example they have a clear enough visibility to notice you going up for a grab use the ambush instead.

    Legion.

    1) give a benefit for double stabbing. There is literally no reason why a double stab should be punished.

The only benefit that double stabbing head after their we work was the ability to get extra stacks of things like remember me or Save The Best For Last and since Legion got hit with the basic vs power split that one benefit is gone.

    2) Pins linking back to the statement your changed to the pins was amazing however it would be nice to add if you smack someone again it would apply the status condition.

This will make it a lot more helpful if you don't get killer instinct to proc as no one is close enough you could just smack the person again to give them the status condition.

    3) Reduce the stun time for Legion so far is the only killer who can be extremely punished for successfully using their power.

Nurse blink miss stun is perfectly fine you messed up.

Deathslinger can use a basic attack to cancel out this chain breaking if he thinks he's going to get stunned unnecessarily so even if he does miss up he has a way out.

Legion has nothing hey you successfully chain all four people too bad you're still eating that 4 second stun or maybe you cancel the power out of your own volition to avoid a miss, double tap or before the power ...... too bad eat that four second stun.

    4) Missed swings should cancel out the power with whatever progression it had left rather than completely resetting it. If that's too much then have it cancel it out but only take away 25% of the current bar

  • Body count doesn't matter to the Entity.

Legion. Only killed one person in the heat of the moment and even then every member except Frank hesitated to varying degrees with Susie having to be outright forced. All four of them still got taken and all four of them became Killers as of now they all work to kill survivors in their own separate individual trials.

Spirit: Literally killed no one but was taken because of her inherited rage and and desire for Vengeance against her father and even then The Entity didn't hold to its bargain.

Plauge: Literally the most selfless killer in the entire roster didn't hurt anybody and even sacrificed her own body parts to try to help people. The Entity literally just happened and to answer a prayer from someone who had nothing left and was willing to take any god to save her.

  • There's a lot of pieces of early lore that contradicts what we currently have.

This typically happens when a lot bigger of a lore focus is put on a game that's not exactly lor heavy.

Most of the stuff in early Dead by daylight used to just be flavour text something to enhance the immersion but was never really hardcore lore.

Now the lore and the backstory of becoming a lot bigger and taking more of a focus some of the flavour text lore might be changedretconed because when trying to establish a big picture the little flavour text fragments don't really align well.

    Couple of examples.

Survivors who completely give up hope where hinted to become something different in the early stages of the game. This is where the concept of survivors becoming Killers came from ( this would be flavour text)

Later the concept of the Void was introduced essentially retconning that idea and suggesting now that anybody who does lose hope or Killers who will refuse to follow no matter what are just tossed aside into the void to fade away ( this is the updated lore)

Another example would be Killers interacting.

Initially it was established that they never encountered each other and were kept completely separated. ( flavour text)

Later it was then established that killers have encountered each other however very rarely with varying interactions.

Positive: Nurse and Wraith ( Currently the only positive interaction we know of the exception of the technicality of the Legion)

However some have definitely been confirmed to be extremely negative or violent towards each other. ( we don't which Killers were involved in this(

Then you have the concept of the legion who are literally four individual teenagers who literally hang out with each other most of the time they're not in a trials. (they aren't fused into one body or any variation of that idea. They are literally 4 separate people, it is even stated that they do their own separate trials)

  • Feng Min x Kate Densen.

I already have a headcanon that Min is a Lesbian but I do like the idea of Kate being the person who's supportive no matter how how much she might make mistakes or mess up.

Especially considering the idea of being a failure and disappointment was probably drilled into Feng's it's so much by her parents and family which explains her constant need to prove herself to her fans who probably don't care whether she loses or not and her parents who don't even care about her pursuits in gaming. ( Resulting in a self-deprecation and depression spiral when she did lose and fail).

Kate has already been described as someone who's upbeat and practically instills positive Energy into people so i feel like she would be a good fit for Min who really need somebody to be that light in her life.

  • I really don't like object of obsession I'll might take some leniency if I see a Laurie running it because she might be doing it for her adept.

But if you're running perk and you're not Laurie. I'm going to tunnel you if you want to run a perk that basically Screams Come get me don't be surprised if the killer decides to devote their attention to you.

The amount of times of survivors that get annoyed at me for tunneling them when they had that perk for my only response to be don't run a perk that lets me see you from across map

On the dbd wiki it says; "The Shape's in-game name is a reference to the original 1978 Movie. During the credits, the role of 'Michael Myers' is instead credited as 'The Shape'." Hope that helped.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Michael_Myers#Trivia

I'm aware of where each name comes from and the concept of it I'm wondering if the entity is the one that assigned to them these codenames and if so so how did it derive these codenames.

  • @LifeQuestions said:

Well, seeing as though the Entity doesn't speak, I'd say the survivors made up the names based on how they saw them as.

For example: Amanda has a pig mask -> The Pig

None of the survivors know their actual names, so it would be fitting if they just made them up.

Then how does that explain things like the Legion.

It's reasonable Jeff could have probably recognise them.

However that's rather unlikely considering Jeff probably only met with Frank and not when Frank was wearing his mask.

Same could be said for the doctor considering nothing immediately indicates he's a doctor.

As well as the DeathSlinger as they would have no way of knowing what his Bounty Hunter name was

  • The main reason this problem arises is because they haven't fixed the court issue with how fast games are done.

The survivors aren't at fault in the situation they're doing their objectives like they're meant to do.

The problem is everything it's done so quickly that it infuriating.

We first had a Band-Aid fix in the form of Ruin however when the people realised that the Band-Aid fix became so prevalent instead of fixing the problem they decided to get rid of the band aid without addressing the core issues.

They also try to use healing as a secondary objective but kept adding different heal purks which made damaging survivors pointless. To the point where we are at a stage where unless you're going up against Oni it's more viable to just stay injured and gen rush rather than waste time healing.

  • Honestly the piping system is a royal mess for both parties.

Sometimes you could literally play your heart out as a killer or a survivor and do really well and you don't pip.

Literally no one pronounces her name right, not even the devs.

Paulie Esther would like a word with you

  • You can get a 4K or a 2K with a no blink nurse doesn't mean it's a good build or strategy or even a good way to play her
