It would but cry more
It would make it impossible for ghostface to avoid being forced out he power.
That's like your abilities drop pallets and vault being blocked for no reason also no way to stop it.
Whether you like it or not realise that revealing ghostface forcing him out of his power and forcing it on cooldown is something that should be balanced. ( the warning indicator is the balance)
The indicators are mainly so that ghostface knows where he needs to hide to avoid being forced out .
If you're going to do what you suggested then you need to extremely reduced the cooldown of night shroud so he can use it a lot more frequently but then you will probably end up whining that he keeps going back in it and revealing him is useless.

It'd be better if it would highlight you for 6 seconds after you've exposed him. Instead of telling you where you're trying to expose him from
No it wouldn't
-
People usually have their favourite killer or killers and don't really take consensus of what other people use into account.
My three main are
1) Amanda
2) Legion
3) Demi Logorgon
In that order
However I have very little to no care if the survivors I'm against have faced 15 pigs before facing me. In the same way the Claudette probably doesn't care that she's the 29th Claudette I've gone up against.
People want to play what they want to play, outside of that everything else is kind of irrelevant.
-
Oh no a toxic player what a shock that clearly means that the devs don't care about the survivor community.
Well done Nancy Drew you cracked this case.
Listen there is a little to nothing that any developer can ever do to stop toxicity completely.
Why because people always find loopholes or ways to be toxic and unless you slap on a bunch of extremely restrictive rules which would make the game completely unfun, you're never going to be able to stop it.

Extending the grind doesn't impact gameplay? 🤔
Ok, cool, how about they cut BP generation by 100 then? Max per game BP is now 3,200, and it's fine because it's so minor it has no actual impact on the gameplay.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1244403#Comment_1244403
So don't? Go break pallets, close the hatch, use your power I that generate BP like some do.
That's perfectly fine but if I want to move on to my next match and don't care about breaking pallets or closing hatch it is very irritating to have the watch you.
Especially if I'm a killer who can very easily max out bloodpoints meaning breaking pallets using my power and closing hatch is literally nothing other than annoying busy work as it doesn't give me anything
-
Just restart your game again you should be able to get it you might have to do it a couple times worse case scenario
-
Well I get you want your blood points I don't feel like sitting down for 60 seconds watching you struggle

First off I think it's pretty dumb how his exposure thing works. I stare at this guy and yet It just doesn't work, but I still exposed some how as soon as he turns around.
Not to mention it tells you where you're trying to expose him from. I think it shouldn't even tell him unti you fully expose him.
It tells him where you're trying to expose him from so he could try to hide.
It would be a massive pain if someone can continuously reveal you and had no way of preventing it
-
Min is her first name and Feng is her Surname.
From what I've heard from friends it's either pronounced Fung or Foong people from different dialects of giving me different answers but it's usually around those two. No I have no idea why most of the community refers her Surname as Fang
Yes her name is written in the Asian way as for Yui they wrote her name the same way in the trailer but for some reason decided to change it for the actual game.
Maybe they thought it was easier to avoid the confusion between that.
Maybe the archives will fix it but honestly I'm not holding out too much hope

I would be fine with recolours of other cosmetics but they literally gave us a recolour of default outfits both on feng and spirit lol. Feng and spirit also got brand new outfits in the previous rift, why them? Spirit is getting another new outfit as well, give some to other characters at least.
Honestly it kind of bugged me that they chose to do that default outfit for feng min as a recolor.
I was expecting a recolor for something like her LAN party outfit maybe in black or white or something I don't know

-
I think you're better before it would be to allow teams within a certain range to see the things that you see.
So if you're running alert and you are close enough to another survivor they will also see the alert go off

Whilst they at it could be also give back her gold painted nails when she's wearing her Phoenix outfit or her victory Polo

unique identity compared to other exhaustion perks.Actually it would remove it's identity even more. And would be in a weird clash with Head On.
I think giving it like Balanced Landing passive wouldn't hurt tho - x% for vaulting when your Lithe is ready or something about that.
You could possibly make head on take priority the head on was going to initiate head on will activates first.
If head on misses or you weren't in a locker long enough you would get lithe.
I can see some decent synergy players being made with it. Especially against Killers who tend to be afraid of head on and try to bait it as you could use that to your advantage to get a speed Boost with lithe

Tired of seeing a killer using a BROWN addon being able to completely take away my ability to use a perk at all for an entire chase, generally for every chase, the entire game. They're insanely broken as is, especially Huntress', with how powerful she already is otherwise. Consider allowing exhaustion to tick down while running when exhaustion is triggered by a killer add-on - otherwise, I don't understand how a killer being able to completely remove your ability to use a perk for an entire game can be considered balanced, there's no comparable sort of perk for killers, let alone the several that a killer can remove for a game with these addons.
So me hitting you with my power to negate your perk for this chase is bad but you having ability to completely take away my perk for the entire game by destroying my totem is perfectly fine

Because he can quickscope, he needs only see a survivor to catch them. It's way too easy to secure a down with him.
Compare with the huntress who has to wind up, has slower projectile speed, has an arc, for example.
However huntress actually does damage with her hatchets and the hatchets are all more useful.
As it can down survivors over pallets.
Depending on your positioning you could very easily make almost all the death slingers shots on you whether they are successful or not pointless as he'll never be able to down you.
If you want to remove his ability to quickscope and give him a charged up then you're going to have to give him more bullets and make the shots lethal so it actually matters if he hits you obstacle or no
-
Yeah this is not going to fly survival so just going to loop the killer by the hook.
Especially when they know they could not only screw The Killers bloodpoints over but they get bonus bloodpoints at that
-
I think the reason for the comparison is because they both can end the game prematurely for the other party denying a possibility of winning.
I can't tell you how many times I've had situations where two or even three survivors managed to escape whilst I was defending a decent lockdown area. It feels cheap and like you've been robbed
However I also can't tell you how many times I've the killer for a long time and I can reliably handle another Hook only to be immediately mori off after first Hook. Like with the thing above it just feel like you've been robbed.

I don't care about knowing where they are, just knowing that they're near. Right now, you simply don't know unless you're already on top of them.
It's not fun when you consider how annoying the Doctor is, or how broken the Deathslinger is in chase.
How is Deathslinger broken in chases
-
A 16 seconds heal is perfectly fine especially when anything then boost healing speed will also reduce the time.
If you're going to keep the heal boost 10 seconds is way too short hell it's even shorter than the add-on's initial number of 12 seconds and that was increased for a reason making it even smaller than that number is plain ridiculous.
-
I agree with everything on this except the immunity to something like iron grasp if you're going to give a decent buff to boil over then things like iron grasp or agitation should be able to counter it in the same way that strider can negate iron will

just make it larger, ure competing with a killer who can down you and moves faster for it, you brought it to find hatch a single perk that would only come into play maybe once every 10 games? if ure lucky
It does that job already you're not meant to be able to see the hatch from a large distance away.
It's meant give you that indicator so you can shave off a couple of seconds to get into it rather than walking around till you hit audio range.
On top of that it will still show the Hatch even when it's been closed which could make it very easy for you to just use a key it really doesn't need a buff
You're still meant to be at extreme risk having the Perk coming clutch and shaving off a couple of seconds is nice however being able to strut around the map like you don't care because you can see hatch from half the map away is the exact opposite of what you're meant to be feeling in a 1 v 1 situation

Everyone is saying how Spirit is the most powerful. I disagree. All killers can dream except Demogorgon, so Freddy can easily manipulate them into potentially killing themselves.
In terms of sheer willpower? Michael Myers and Spirit are the most powerful. The entity cannot fully control either of them, so if there ever is, a "final chapter" of DBD, I believe the catalysts for the end would be Myers and Rin.
It's very much implied or even stated That The Entity messed with Freddy's power so he's not as strong as he used to be before he got trapped

She doesn't get annoyed, she actually gets happier as she remembers it's the lullaby her mother sang to her before she died. She gets happier singing it until it loops and she goes back to singing in a sad way.
Definitely fits into her theme as she get so invested and overtaken in her hunts.
It would make a lot of sense that if she doesn't encounter a survivor or something to distract her from the humming she begins to just enjoy it remembering her mum more hence going from humming to singing.

Thats not how it works for me, whenever i myself play as the killer it immediately activates upon the 5th gen being completed regardless if i had hit a survivor at the same time or not
It does it the same way whether you're killer or survivor it just doesn't notify the survivors that you have insta Downs until you hit somebody.
Most survivors have learnt to tell that a killer has no one escapes death before they get hit simply because the killer moves faster.

It's been something that happened since release.
It was somewhat understandable (not really) when frenzy could down survivors but currently with how Legion works now there is absolutely no reason why it should still be a thing.

I know im not only one that believes it take WAY TO LONG to wiggle out of a killers grasp. By the time im actually able to wiggle out, the killer is pretty much able to walk past 2-3 different hooks, all of which he can put you on. Wiggling out takes 15-20 seconds give or take, and the i strongly believe that both the distance between hooks, and the amount of hooks on every map doesn't justify how long it takes to wiggle out. Its completely unfair and pretty much defeats the purpose of the wiggle out mechanic
Main purpose of the wiggle mechanic is not for you to get off The killer's shoulder it's to stop the killer from being able to take you wherever the heck they want. For example taking you all the way to basement or bringing you to a perfect 3 gen strat
You're not meant to get off the killer shoulder without a save (Pallet,Flashlight,Locker) or a lot of intervention.

be glad atleast some achievements in this game are actual achievments...
The problem people are bringing up it's not the fact that its hard to get but the fact that it's ridiculous that the requirement for Killers is much greater than requirement for survivors.
As a survivor you can legitimately do absolutely nothing all game I mean literally stay in the basement spamming emotes to stop crows from spawning and then escape through a hatch or exit gate once your team has basically carried you to Victory and you will get the achievement.
However as a killer you could literally go all out at rank 1 and literally be denied the achievement because Claudette decided to kill herself on hook. How you could be denied the achievement because you were just too good and wrecked the survivors.
When an achievement ignores skill and it's just put down to dumb luck you can't really proclaim it as an achievement. It's a chore.

Survivors retain their memories of past trials, even after death or sacrifice. Benedict Baker confirms this after waking up at the campfire.
I think a character wearing different cosmetics is a character from a different universe/timeline. That is why it’s possible to have more than one of the same Survivor in a trial, and why the same Killer can be encountered wearing different cosmetics.
I like to imagine that changing your cosmetics literally changes your character to a different version of them with different memories and experiences.
With so many different cosmetic combinations that one can make, this implies that The Entity has collected a near endless amount of Survivors and Killers based on different versions of them alone. Not to mention all the characters we’ll never even see like Benedict Baker and The Smasher.
The same survivor multiple times in a trial thing has been explained as in game mechanic.
So you don't restrict people to what survivors they can use you probably shouldn't try to use it to explain lore.
Lore wise there is only one Feng Min and only one Amanda Young. There is never a trial when there is 4 Mins running around in the same way Amanda can't be in more than one trial at once.
The only killer that breaks this rule and it's with a technicality is Legion. But that is because Frank Julie Susie and Joey are all the Legion meaning they can be four separate trials where the Legion partake

Part of me hopes that, if the Alchemist really is Vigo (as is theorized) and he is released later on, that Benedict is the Survivor that comes with him. Both are background characters that play a major role in the game's story, so seeing them come out together would be thematically wonderful.
Another part of me wants to believe that he is the Observer (though I'm pretty sure this was confirmed false). It would give him a bigger role that makes perfect sense for him.
The final part of me believes that he is in the Void, and we'll never see him again. He gave a description (well, a description in a similar style to Baker's existed, anyway) about Clown, and Spirit was when he truly disappeared, and I believe that was when we learned about the Void, so it would make sense.
I like to think I'm Benedict is more likely to become the killer it would give some explanation as to why the killers have been more lenient with him.
Amanda ignored him despite knowing that he's in the locker only giving him a warning glance and clown despite outright seeing him chooses chooses to give him a fake smile and nod before leaving.
It's quite possible that The Entity has been telling the killers that Benedict is off limits.
Unbeknownst the Benedict he's just misinterpreting these actions as a second chance or the clown not being interested in people who are aware of his danger

I'd say this is pretty well done. Min's probably the only original Survivor that we have actual dates for, so it's actually possible to do this.
Another thing... congratulations on using her name correctly (except for one line, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to everyone else).
You also have two 2)s in the conclusion, but that's just me nitpicking on a well done analysis at this point.
Note: This was made before the changes that were done. It is now perfect.
Late response thanks for the feedback. I made the edits based on them.
Min is my favourite character so I hope I did her justice. Hopefully we get a nice Juicy archives for her.
Hopefully Tome 4

Hook changes occurred some time ago. You are not dreaming. This is now standard. You will not wiggle off unless there is some divine intervention from your teammates.
I mean that's how it's supposed to be you're not meant to get off The Killers shoulder every time.
Getting off-the-shoulder requires a lot of luck on your side or poor play on the killer side it shouldn't be something that you get frequently
-
Is there any hope that you can cut down on the clutter charms in the archives and add more unique ones instead?
The killer and survival memorabilia charms are nice.
The doll charms are amazing. If not lacking remember Legion Jane doctor and Dwight need one
However the five repeated identical charms that only change the colour are very irritating it does nothing but clutter up the Rift and your charm loadout. Which is worse considering it's for both killer and survivor meaning it takes up 10 slots of the Rift.
So my question is would you please cut down on these identical charms (2 per side instead of 5) and add something like more dolls, Perk, emblem or memorabilia charms.

Mori of the first hook is completely unfair to play against and super unfun. Suggestion would be to make it only able to Mori when survivor is on the death hook.
keys are super unfun to play against, Honestly just remove them.
and N.O.E.D rewards bad players. Only fix I can think of it to reveal location or H.E.X totem to obsession if obsession is dead N.O.E.D will not activate.
It's either a hex or an obsession perk you can't have both.
You're literally asking for its mechanics to be tied to Totems and The Obsession mechanic
Meaning if it still follows its old dull totem rule and a dull totem is present but the obsession is dead you don't get your perk
Or
Your obsession can be alive but you're not going to get your perk because there's no dull left.
Unless you're going to give it a massive power hike for being that conditional that is a major no

I dont agree, if a match really goes that fast, then something is just wrong, something makes no sense, it should be disqualified tbh.
I hate to put it this way but taking an arbitrary checklist isn't fun.
As a killer I shouldn't be punished because the survivors were potatoes or because I completely wrecked them.
As a survivor I shouldn't be punished because the killer wasn't competent enough to get a down.
That way you're not rewarding efficient or good gameplay your rewarding how much somebody can fit a bell curve and punishing them if they dare to colour outside the lines.

-
How much is it is a meme the one thing I hate about survivor when it comes to Dead by daylight.
I can't stand when I get absolutely potato teammates when I play solo.
David who is apparently allergic to gens literally only goes for saves. Altruism is great and all but it's pretty pointless how many people you have saved off hook when everyone is dead or on death hook and we've only done two gens (correction I've only done two gens)
Meg who I'm convinced that looking at her sprint burst indicator lit up is preventing her from having a heart attack and combusting into flames. Why because it's the only explanation I can think of to why this girl decides to crouch and walk everywhere.
Claudette who has watched way too many ochido videos and tries to be incredibly toxic only for none of that to work resulting her to get downed pretty quickly at which stage she'll disconnect or try again with the same as stupid results. Honestly I don't know which one to worst.
Only made worse by when I play Killer apparently everybody is on the pulse and knows exactly what they're doing.
Min looping is absolutely on point and she's top here when it comes to the 360 so I have to keep leaving her.
Kate is apparently a generator goddess and is cranking them out like nobody's business. Often coming equipped with prove thyself and is hitting every great with skill checks.
Nea who has the luck of the gods on her side and apparently always manages to run to a really safe brain dead loop.
Dwight who I have somehow managed to not see all game besides butt dancing at the gates but has been doing everything behind the scenes and is top of the leaderboard on points
