If you're on pc, go into settings and at the bottom make sure that cross play is enabled. Then restart your client.
I don't see anything that says crossplay. I know what you mean, but it's not appearing for me.

It doesn't make sense as the overheat mechanic already made them really bad, as longer charge time makes you overheat faster. This nerf ( if it's true ) it's overkill and makes the add-ons completely unusable.
I'm taking it at face value, not everything else along with it. I agree the Overheat mechanic in it's current state is way to punishing for just playing a killer.

No, why did you wait 3 hours??
To be honest. I have done everything I needed to do today, and I have nothing else to do, and I still want 2 more crowns before the event ends.

Yes. I think my game is glitched. It does not seem right.

Why does it need to affect gameplay? Lol
Actually, you're right. I forgot that the devs treat it less like a game and more of a virtual fashion simulator. I'm such a fool for thinking that.
-
And this affects the gameplay...How?
-
I don't know, but it makes sense if they did, because they did increase the base chainsaw movement speed.

The only issue I have with him is Quickscoping. It gives you pretty much no time at all to react so being caught out in the open is a big no no.
Also pre-throw pallets, especially when you are injured.
It's a projectile, not a hitscan. Also, it's as fast as a fully charged hatchet throw, but has a minuscule hitbox. Huntress can land a hit almost 1 meter away, while Deathslinger Can shoot at their finger and still miss. Don't move in a complete straight line and most of the time, you'll be fine.

No its still nurse. With her stun and now cooldown. If she didnt have the cooldown shed be number 2 but now that she has to wait to blink and is at 100% or 105 cant remember. anyways nurse is slower with everything in consideration
what about multiple floors?

I have been waiting almost 2 hours now to get into a killer match, right after rank reset, worse than ever before. (my guess is because killers are waiting last second to get their crowns.)
-
He's pretty alright, they just need to calm down with the slowdowns on this killer (if you take that into consideration, he is by far, the slowest killer in the game. Technically nurse is, but she can blink, Deathslinger's power slows him down more than his already slow movement speed.)

Hatch closing was tested yonks before EGC came into existence for one
Yes, but it was intended not to go live yet. They have yet to add a mechanic to the PTB intended to go live, then scrapped due to complaints. I'd like to be optimistic, but this does not look like it's going away.

@JHondo said:
As a hybrid player I think they should keep the overheat but make it less punishing. There is absolutely no reason that a full charge to get to sprint gets up almost 1/3 of his overheat. And why does it cool down faster once full overheated? It should cool down faster when the bar is still red, not after it's turned white. Just reduce some numbers greatly and I think the overheat will be okay. Billy shouldn't be able to feather infinitely but he also shouldn't be gutted for playing efficiently.
I think that the overheat charges should be 150-200 instead of 10, and the cooldown period should be adjusted along side it, so It could be used as intended, to punish misuse of the power.

@LazyPayday said:
I know this topic has been done to death but I don't want the devs to think it was just an outcry at first, Billy still has been done extremely dirty. It's likely the devs are still being made fun of for saying that they'll only be making "minimal" changes to Billy's base kit, before nerfing him into the ground.
As a personal Billy main of 3 years, I can say for sure that I'm completely fine with them getting rid of crack-head billy, insta-saw billy, and drift-king billy, the add-ons just buffed him too much, but touching his base kit is incredibly dumb, even compared to the dev's past decisions. Any killer main or survivor main with half a brain could tell you that Billy's base kit was perfectly balanced, to the point where it should be the golden standard in a perfect dbd world, but his add-ons where the problem.
So the problem being, why nerf him? If everyone was only complaining about his add-ons and you were happy with how he was right now then why add the overheat mechanic? There was the talk of punishing players for not using his chainsaw efficiently but any Billy main will rev their chainsaw for quite some time to get the perfect curve, they're being the most efficient yet the overheat mechanic punishes them for it.
The one last thread of hope was that it's possible for an idea in the PTB to be completely scrapped, it's been done before so why can't it happen now. Some Billy's new add-ons are complete jokes but if they just tossed the overheat mechanic, I wouldn't complain about them.
However it's incredibly likely that some of you disagree, so that's why I wanna ask form all perspectives, fellow killer mains, fellow billy mains, survivor mains, and the dumbasses who think Billy was overpowered, do you think the devs should completely scrap the overheat mechanic or instead edit so that it doesn't actually drop him a tier and keep his performance where it usually was?
what was scrapped before?

Currently as it is, NOED is too powerful and game-changing on it's own and literally takes an entire team to look for dull totems instead of doing objectives or alternatively taking perks such as Small Game. Changing it to a Hex Totem or reworking NOED to function in a different manner would be beneficial. I play Killer and Survivor equally and I believe it's bs.
Please suggest ideas ITT how to change or balance NOED.

It was not nerfed due to overuse. Overuse was a clue that we should investigate. Upon investigation, we found several issues with it. These were explained in the design notes posted about it.
so what about the other perks?
-
they have a problem of "if something is buffed, something else gets nerfed". Plus they rather have the penalties be more extreme than advantages (because they don't want to face the wrath of survivors). It's a flawed system. I guarantee that other than fixing some bugs, nothing will change. it's less of the devs asking if the upcoming update needs changes, and more of devs showing off what WILL go into the game.

So Franklin's chanhe is too strong. I have personally ran a killer around all game, my friend azame is the BEST console player I know as a survivor and constantly runs killers while injured for longer than 90 seconds now I have not stocked up my items to lose it to a trash killer who cant end chases and I understand if its pallet lodge or whatever but if I actually do GOOD I deserve to keep my item so if we lose any help we get as survivors killers need to lose their help. That simple killers can mindgame and vault and break pallets we can drop pallets mindgame and vault so we have items and add-ons and we lose addons but keep our item if we escape killers get to keep their powers regardless and lose add ons so items are basically survs powers and to rid us of that by tunneling or us being good at the game or getting lucky is not fair and needs balance and if you disagree PLEASE give me actual good points to explain how this is fair
You're just butthurt that you actually have to do things yourself, instead of your teammates doing everything for you, and you refuse to learn.
(I saw your post on Franklins Demise too, you have to learn sometimes friend)

How come most Discussion i read, I see most people agree in most cases, but most of my post, I get White knighted up the ass?
(it's almost like i'm the killer that can't do anything, and everyone else are survivors that does everything they can to remove my agency)

i'm more concerned that a rank 20 is facing a rank 2.

In DBD, there are less players in a match than most/all of the games people say in this thread, so toxicity tends to be more impactful, especially killer, which is more common and likely to gang up on than shooters that has 4v4 or 6v6. (also, I don't know about you guys, but I think some mechanics of DBD are more complecated than "shoot people" or "defuse bombs"

What so you mean? Have you played other multiplayer games that have chat or a mic system? I used to play on minecraft serves quite a bit when I was younger and the amount of kids that'll write crap to you is insane. CoD is full of people screaming at each other and every other PvP shooter game I've played has been pretty much the same but to a lesser degree. Hell even games like Destiny which I played for a while, you can do raids together and people get really pissed off at you if you don't know the steps, have bad gear or it's your first time. I actually quit Destiny because the raid system was so crap (mainly) and people would freak out over the least little thing (secondary).
If you're looking for actual pictures or videos or something I have none. I don't know about you but I don't actively keep videos or screenshots of people getting mad in video games. Heck even in DBD where I enjoy salty messages I'll delete them after a couple days.
Actual stats

@ohheyitsbobcat said:
While the other person is certainly in the wrong here, if your friend quit after one toxic message then I think they should stick to single player games or just be sure to mute everyone and close any kind of chat games have. Every multiplayer game has it's share of people screaming at you if you do even the tiniest thing wrong or people just looking to troll or mess around with others.
In all honesty DBD is pretty normal, tame even when it comes to toxicity. There are certainly a lot worse games out there when it comes to toxic stuff like Minecraft, PvP shooters, sports games, fighter games the list goes on and on. DBD toxicity is kind of on the lower end of the spectrum when compared to stuff like that. Of course you'll have people that go above and beyond but so does every game out there.
I hope your friend finds some games they can enjoy and maybe even give DBD another shot and simply turn off messages/notifications. ^_^

Why would you want children playing a game like this???
Your acting like a baby by telling the devs not to do something that they may or may not want. They made the game, you didn't.
An adult would be able to accept it with open arms, and not whine about it.
-
No perks. Honestly more fun than having perks, because you can't just do anything with little consequences. It makes the game more intense, and in turn, more fun.

ok imagine.. you get chased by the killer get the first hit -> item drops. from now on you have 90 seconds to pick it up back. a chase is in average lets say 30 seconds.
now the killer needs to pick you up, get to a hook and hook you. lets say 10 seconds.
now survivor need to get you from the other side of the map that will probably take again around 20-30 seconds.
now we have around 70 seconds in the worst case. the survivor has now 20 seconds to run to the item and pick it up, depending now where the chase began if is in the other side of the map well.. say goodbye to your item.
the only way to get your item somehow back is someone is hook bombing with borrowed time and you run immideately to the item IF the killers isnt following you. otherwise goodybe item.
its just to much.
the only item i bring in games are medkits now devs pretty much say : f you, go and use selfcare for 40 seconds? that cant be real. i really dont understand what devs trying to do?
a lot of maps got changed, with these changes maps are full with deadzones. now they want people to lose their items. what next? obviously you want to make the game easier for killers, sure thing. but you just nerf everything to hell and killers are again wondering why so many people play in a group.
Devs.. do you try to kill Solo players? i mean.. slowly i really have that feeling you just wanna punish people for playing solo.. and enough is enough i guess? if you keep doing this i will stop playing both sides and just become a killer main.
I love you people who only look at one side and say the other has no problems.

DBD community don't act childish?
I don't care who they add, if their gameplay is good, then i'm fine.

I've read about the changes coming to Hillbilly. From what I heard from people freaking out here, they completely ruined the poor guy. However...
You guys are overreacting, it's just a dang overheat mechanic. It doesn't overheat fast, it doesn't kick you out of a sprint, it cools down faster if it overheats completely.
Please, tell me why this is a huge nerf. I'd love to hear it.
I agree with you.
I think it's because they can't feather for 30+ seconds (If you need that much time to make a move, you're not a good BIlly player), lockdown gates, and m2 the entire match.
It's the same as nurse, it punishes the misuse of the power, forcing you to manage your meter (trust me, this change will make you a better Billy player). In fact, I think this will make more better Billys than worse Billys. You will need a few matches/days to get used to it, but you will be much better than before the update.

No, nobody does. But I win a very large majority of the games I play. Losses are pretty rare for me. Like I said, if you genuinely understand what you're doing you'll do just fine.
In order to understand what i'm doing, I have to pretend 85% of the killers I can chose from don't exist?

Correction: You LOSE points from a survivor who you saved gets downed immediately which is around 150% of the unhook points.
Also you lose points for survivor's giving up or DCing on hook(Which is dumb).
Thank you

Thisl game is infuriatingly killer centric! I got 2 hook saves, 2 gens and escaped against huntress with mori and insta down hatchets! I escaped 3 chases as well, maxing me on chase. 1 teammate gave up on hook in first min of match , and I depip cause I got 0 emblems in altruism??? Honestly, this game is pissing me off. From quiter teammates, to ridiculous killer hit boxes, hook camping and tunnelling. The balance for killers is too much.
you do not gain the emblem points if the survivor unhooked gets downed shortly after hook.

The best billies chainsaw almost 24/7. Ofc at god loops they m1 because its the only thing possible, But what makes billy, billy is the versatility of the chainsaw among these 1% and aspiring 1%, doing this guts them and makes the learning curve a straight upward line.
think it's fair for survivors to be denied of opening exit gates?

What people are complaining about is the developers going above and beyond in the wrong way. Ultimately they wanted to look at his addons, which in some cases are a bit too much. Instead now they did something unneeded. Who asked for yet another powerbar?
We won't know how it will play out until live, but I'd assume it would have more of an effect than we realize currently.
So every killer with a powerbar is god awful? Chainsawing 24/7 is not a good strategy, not even the best Hillbillies can do that.
