Sure I don't do it alot. But when I get matched with solo q mates who are self-caring, crouching in the corner, or otherwise not doing gens (especially when I've had killer in chase for at least 2-3 to pop), then yeah I'm out. Killer can have the 4k, they deserve it. 🤣😭
This is exactly why for the hate, doesn't matter what happens in the game, play it out, don't be such a wuss

This game is way too easy for killers it’s insane. I’m a killer main and if I play 10 games 9/10 of those I win fairly easy. I don’t think killers should be able to see the survivors aura at all because that just defeats the sole purpose of what the survivors are supposed to do which is to hide and be stealthy. I also think the hooks are way to close to each other and need to have a cool down after someone gets unhooked from one. It’s ridiculous how I can just throw another person on the same hook without any penalties right after someone gets unhooked. The game has started to get boring with just how easy it is for killers. Also the killers range needs to be nerfed. Too many times I find my self downing someone with hits that shouldn’t have connected. Tell me how I can down someone when they just vaulted through a window or pallet despite me not being close to them at all.
Yeah, I stopped reading after "I don't think killers should be able to see the survivors aura at all"

Then why doesn't anyone LOOOOOVE going into a 20 minute match against Legion with nothing but slowdown? Why? That's because its boring as hell and no one wants to spend that long in a match. This post is for those who try to defend a nerf by saying people will take the person hostage. Dude, no one, including me, wants to be in a match for over 20 minutes just because the killer is camping. No one is gonna troll someone on live servers. That excuse is used as a justifiable nerf is just stupid. The perk is fine. Just cancel it once the last gen is done and either rescue or leave. Someone said someone else took a killer hostage for like 30 minutes or something XD Like come on XD No one wants to be in a match with nothing but twiddling your thumbs for 30 minutes to spite a killer XD
you will ABSOLUTELY, within like the first hour have someone doing that to you, the same dopamine rush as camping, but with a survivor

Overcharge was buffed...
But again they should have buffed base Gen regression... instead of adding 10 charges to Gens
I agree with you on one hand but on the other I don't see Survivors wanting the change to last any longer then it needs to
I mean, was overcharge every considered a "slowdown" I personally never looked at it like that, I just saw it as an added bonus
But I guess yeah, I could consider the new one a slowdown, cause it actually does it's job well, lol

I wouldn't be surprised if a killer thought I was solo q with my goofballs of friends that just meme around all the time, lol

Also add in regression perks and yea... and pressure
You mean all of the other regression perks that got nerfed? Literally close to all of them
-
@RaSavage42 said:
It was a overbuff... 10 more seconds on each Gen then add in the slowdown of Thana (and Dying Light) and you get "forever" builds
If they just buffed the base Gen regression... they could've left Thana where it was
Yes, cause that 2% they added when they made it 22%, that extra 2% was SOOOO game changing, about 0.2 seconds of a game changer
-

It was a very good perk not just on Plague and Legion but overall and synergized great with particular builds so i dont understand why they would nerf it after it received a buff.
Can anyone tell me or speculate why?
Not just nerfed, absolutely obliterated and demolished into the ground

@MommyHunktress said:
I am an advocate for this perk. but it should be basekit tbh. and limited uses. lets be real... this perk is gonna be abused for sure and then there is the if you give survivors a chance rto unhook they will because if youre not camping then there isnt any point. But sometimes camping and tunneling are needed. like if you have 3 gens around the area you shouldnt leave, although i doubt that can even be coded.
but endgame deactivation, seriously some matches are out of your control, most of us cant handle a tourney squa who wnats to win and yes death squads are rare but i faced superaaronnova 2 times within like a week or 2 back when crossplay came out. so good teams arent impossible and sometimes they are just average players good on gens ya know and sometimes you have a god cowshed. everyone knows some rng can cause easy wins.
so why not limit its uses to where it guarantees all gens are done? if a bubba has lethal and downs someone instantly he is guaranteed a 2k, unless he somehow downed a member of a tourney squad fast enough and you guys are just gods at looping by the time the gens are done and that guy is dead he has 2 kills, yes it isnt the same for every killer, but still camping is almost guaranteed 2k for everyone depending on circumstance and teammates and rng.
Now lets say we made it to where reassurance is basekit and can be used once. thats a whole 2 minutes which is what it takes for 1 death on hook. and if you use 2 activations on the first guy its another minute, so 3 minutes on 90 second gens and if everyone splits up they can get the win if the set up is right, and if they use all of them its guaranteed 3 man out. it punishes bad plays and also requires more timing and precision to use.
but on the case that the killer leaves that survivor knowing the plan, he cant camp anymore because he has wasted time and the only way he can win is by going for hooks and making people use their perk and the killer could just camp for 20 seconds and when you activate the perk he can leave and bait out the perk and camp when needed towards the end.
Maybe i missed a few scenarios because i havent played the ptb, but this perk 100 percent is necessary but perhaps a bit too powerful and some situations camping is totally fine and justified
Heck, if they're gonna troll their teammates, leaving the hook is just more beneficial for the killer, one survivor wastes their time trolling their teammate, you get to deal with just 2 survivors, lol

Nurse is the only killer I refuse to play against. I don't care about anything else in the game, camping tunneling whatever. Don't care. Doesn't bother me. Everyone else is already screwed by default vs her, I'm just helping us all get into a winnable match.
Almost like you could escape if you had 4 people trying to live...oh wait, that's right, you just give up
-
@Norhc said:
They'll just disconnect instead. And you'll get to use that perk once in a blue moon anyway. Not so chad of a perk in my opinion.
Yeah, they eat a DC penalty because they want to give up, and if they quit as often as they can, they'll eat a 72 hour penalty, sounds good to me
-
@Ghoste said:
Lol this was exactly what I was thinking when I saw Reassurance. The perfect tool for punishing quitters.
I wish they’d extend the range a bit though. Getting within 6m of a camping Leatherface is kind of a death sentence. It will definitely be a staple in my solo queue build, for sure.
I think that's the whole point of the perk y'know? Risk vs reward?
-
@SuzuKR said:
Immature teammates trying to suicide on hook? Nope, not today bucko.
To suicide on hook, they have to ignore two struggle skillchecks in a row. Guess what Reassurance prevents from appearing?
Also, 1 person can add up to 180 seconds for them on struggle phase alone due to this: Once at the start of struggle to make it 90s, then at 50 to make it 80, then at 40 to make it 70, then at 30 to make it 60, then at 20 to make it 50, then at 10 to make it 40. If you have a second teammate, then you have no time efficiency loss, and can thus sustain them forever (as long as the killer doesn't manage to prevent people from getting in range and activating it).
I mean... that's also just 3 survivors doing nothing, and one survivor bored to tears working on all 5 gens, lol
Also, does that 6 meters work through floors? So if you were right above a hook say on midwich, would you still be able to stop the timer?

Hey, you should ignore the other commenter. Sadly, even here on the forums people will be rude and Vile.
Also for the Endgame if you lost horribly or just want a match to be over. Walk to the exit gate Switch and just hug it and stare at the wall then go on your phone or do somethingelse. Survivors will typically just wait the full 3 mins to leave. I do wish there was more I could tell you but thats it. Also, if people are being rude or hateful or your feeling down I highly recommend taking a break from the game or switching your mindset.
The other guy is just being realistic, rude? Sure, but they're not wrong

@JakeCannon said:
I hope that someday there will be an option for the killer to leave the game after the exit gates are powered to where it's not a DC, and everyone still gets the same points they normally would. This is why ..
(Example) map offering for The Game it has a million pallets (duh cause it's game), I get 0k but a couple hooks(no tunneling or camping). They do all the gens and there's 2 people who know how to loop this entire map. I decide to just open the gates for them but no they all sprint away towards the other gate even tho the best of the surv saw me , I nodded twice & backed up(to show they can just leave) but they all waited to the last second to leave at the end . Who knows maybe they all had a chase challenge but man it's annoying let me take my L and move on already
Force them out, hit them once or twice and they'll leave

Ok, now when you read the title you must’ve been completely flabbergasted that anyone would say such a thing but I feel it is true. If you couldn’t tell, I main clown. And I get a 4K almost every game. His bottles can end a chase almost instantly, and his appearance is just creepy. I mostly run generator perks on him, Pop, Eruption, and Thrilling Tremors. I feel like people don’t give him enough credit. When he has no addons, perks, or offering I feel he could be trash but still powerful. Let me know what you think.
S tier means a killer that basically denies all of the survivors resources (nurse), anything else is a tier, and I'm sorry, but Clown is nowhere near A, I'd put him at like low-mid B, his yellow can affect survivors, and he has to be a bit too accurate to launch his bottles
-
@amazing_grace said:
Dead hard might be stronger in some situations, but now it isn't as easy to get value out of. The main problem about dead hard before was it being used to get to a pallet or window for distance. Now the survivor must tank a hit with it to actually get value and then be forced to mend.
I agree that dead hard has some situations where it was stronger than the prior dead hard, but overall, it has become a more balanced perk and is definitely weaker than before.
BT hits and OTR hits both invalidate dead hard, while before, you were still able to use it. You also forgot to mention that dead hard is now useless against Deathslinger and Legion. The killers you mentioned would have had the same problems as before with old dead hard.
Wait, I haven't read the full description, can you not use DH when needing to mend?
-
@Breadn said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3124430#Comment_3124430
Timing is not hard at all. I played half a dozen survivor games with it and only missed like twice.
It's .5 seconds, the survivor would kinda have to stand still to focus on getting it
-
@Breadn said:
Picture this;
-You hit an insane curve as Hillbilly.
-You hit a sharp flick as Blight around a tight loop.
-You throw a perfect hatchet as Huntress.
-You perfectly guess the survivor's pathing as Hag.
In all of these situations, your mechanical and/or decision making skill is invalidated by the survivor pressing a button. No longer do you just get a cooldown, the survivor also gets a speed boost.
If you're playing Billy, it's like you're always running speed limiter. If you're playing Huntress, you're almost guaranteed to have to hit them three times. If you're playing Blight, you can't do anything flashy and have to waste more bumps to get a hit. As Hag, you can no longer rely on instantly hitting survivors after teleporting.
This isn't healthy for the game. It isn't healthy for a player's skill to be invalidated by "good timing" on a survivor's part.
I've used DH as survivor aswell, and every time I use it against a killer like this, I don't feel like I outplayed them. I feel like I got carried by a poorly designed mechanic that rewards sloppy play.
I'm perfectly fine with this, it requires the survivor to time it perfectly, then they have to go and mend, so you can drop the chase after that if you really want, this is such a healthy improvement and I love it

Every new change has made perks solve the issues instead.
And this surprises you because...? It's BHVR

So the ptb patch notes just released, and sadly we are not getting any nerfs to camping or tunneling, yet again. These cheap and skillless strategies will continue to be way to effective for the little effort required, and survivors continue to be at the mercy of killers to not camp and tunnel.
I wonder how long BHVR is going to not address this issue. Killer queue times will continue to be problematic most likely, and understandibly so. Who wants to go against such cheap and unfun strategies?
Please, BHVR, do something against these strategies. Killers were buffed in numerous ways, and are more viable now in general. Now it's the survivors time to get something in return. You have to nerf camping and tunneling properly, so they aren't the go to easy way out strategies for killers anymore, now that killers have been buffed. It's ridiculous.
I do not know any other online game that has such cheap, unfun, and skillless strategies be so effective. Can't even think of anything that comes close to this. It's ridiculous.
I am really hyped about this new chapter, and can not wait to play Wesker. But the prospect of 10 minute killer queue times just to play Wesker really dampens my excitement to an extent.

Out of curiosity:
You mentioned that you were giving the hatch 7 times and were not sure exactly how many times another member of the survivor team was given the hatch, but there were enough for you to remember it happening several times.
At any point in these hundred games, did ANY survivor intentionally give themselves up to the killer in the end game, so that the other side could get one single kill? Can you recall even a single instance where that was the case?
Since WHEN does something like that happen?
-
@Alcuin said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3121469#Comment_3121469
Deathslinger's the killer I play the most right now. His nerfs would be a little more meaningful if survivors didn't move as if they were stuck in mud. If you can aim, you can play Deathslinger. He's never going to be in four places at one time, so he won't have map presence but he's always going to dominate the chase. STBFL needs a nerf, though, I agree with you there.
...i meant with the 7% haste status effect you were giving ranged killers, to be "balanced"
On another note, does that mean doc would also have to go against +7% haste status effect? It's a ranged power
-
@Alcuin said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3121253#Comment_3121253
It's not just latency. I just gave the example of getting wiped by a Huntress that couldn't aim. Doesn't mean she's not fun to play as and she can be fun to play against when she's not zoning. As far as they've already tried to make her hatchets more realistic and failed: learn from the past and try again.
As far as a balance idea for ranged killers that will never get implemented: if a ranged killer is being played, survivors get a permanent 7% haste buff for the trial. This would give survivors more dynamic movement and increase the need to have good aim on the killer side.
Wow, imagine nerfing slinger even more into the ground, poor fella

How it's supposed to work is that blast mine takes 3 seconds to activate, and repressed takes 1 second. When you wait 3 seconds, blast mine is supposed to take priority and activate it for the killer to kick, after the killer is stunned by it, then you you go up and used repressed to block the gen. But it's bugged where it's working together when it's not supposed to. So it ends up blocking the gen and using blast mine at the same time I think.
... wow, freaky, lol

I think the combo was to blast mine it, let the killer kick it, and while killer is blinded, block it.
It's a bit of a cheeky play, but it works well.
But if it activates together, you never get the blast mine off because the killer can't kick it, right?

You cannot force someone to keep playing a game they don't want to. It sucks, but you won't stop it. In fact you may make it worse because it makes them madder and they just ragequit faster

Bruh, the only prestige that matters is the killers, because that shows if they are new with the killer or not (theoretically) survivors are just reskins, a prestige 1 Dwight can be just as good as a prestige 100 Claudette

You can't complain about killers being toxic if you do this every time you survive. This is the type of behaviour that makes killers camp and tunnel...this is where toxicity is born.

Nurse has a low skill FLOOR. Her skill ceiling is nearly infinite. Same for Blight and Huntress. You never stop getting better when playing those killers. Survivor is the same way. You can ALWAYS improve.
Survivors die to Nurse because of one or both of two things:
1- They don't know how to play against Nurse because the majority are bad and don't give any practice
2- They're worse than the Nurse player
3. They "*cough DC against her cough*"

it's just a match, the guy didn't want to play a game with a huntress that could hit axes across the map, is that so hard to understand? He has the right to do so, he got a 5 minute ban for that and I'm sure he did something better with his time other than stress about a sweaty killer with buggy hit boxes.
I get why he dc'd and I get how it ruined your match, but when that happens you can always find the huntress, get killed by her and move on to another match that, hopefully, no one dc. No need to let it get to you.
And yet, the person who DC'd is letting a 10 second down get to him and you're defending that...
