It just has to do with the mist offering applying the same effect over and over, nothing else as far as Im aware. But it also works both ways, stuff that removes Mist/Fog also has it's effect applied... Ive never tried running both offerings at once on Eyrie of Crows so Idk what would happen.
Weird, that can be a pain on dark maps that don't need any fog to help hide the survivors, lol
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3168879#Comment_3168879
It's actually a bug, it doesnt matter what rarity of Mist/Fog offering you play, it will apply the effect several times until it hits the cap for the amount of Mist/Fog.
So... you just throw one in and instant profit? Usually you have to do something else to get a bug to work, that needs to be fixed pretty fast if that's the case

Nope, you sure can't.
My buddy likes to run SC because he knows it bugs the absolute ######### out of me when I see him hiding in a corner wrapping away.
You think that's bad? I will literally start healing my friend, and then he will cancel the healing so he can heal me, but I need the healing for a challenge, so I cancel and start healing him, then sooner or later the killer comes around seeing 2 idiots trying to make some kind of progress healing each other
-
@Tsulan said:
Was the SC nerf really that impactful?
Kinda, it went from 32 seconds to like 45 seconds I believe, and that's before applying sloppy
And it's annoying because you have those stubborn survivors who insist on bringing it and wasting a minute to just do one health state
-

What perks were nerfed to where you can't play them anymore? Some were even buffed. Can't say the same with killer perks, so be grateful. For example, Pop doing like 5-15% regression at best, Ruin regressing at 100% speed, being a destroyable hex, and deactivating after a survivor dies, or NOED which literally reveals its aura to the survivors.
I mean, technically pop can do up to 24% if the gen is 99% when you get there and kick the survivor off
-
@RavenzZ said:
Ehh no. It doesn't guarantee a kill, endgame is completely nullified if the exit gates are left at 99%, just don't actually open them until everyone is ready to escape. But even if endgame is activated you can still escape with everyone if a rescue is done properly.
Don't worry, I'm sure they're just salty about a noed build

Yea but that's sorta the thing, it's NOT fair. The flashlight is one of the few tools the Survivors have to "Fight Back", and it isn't very powerful at all. I'm just suggesting, maybe it would be a bit more powerful.
A survivor isn't supposed to "fight back" they're supposed to get out FAST
-
@OrangeBear said:
I defintely wouldn't say Stake Out and Breakdown are useless. Stake Out is a lot better now because Hyperfocus exists. Breakdown is useful in sabo builds because it breaks hooks for 3 minutes which is an effect that is more noticeable than most perks.
True about breakdown, but then again, there is another hook just 5 feet away from the killer, he will still make it there, and if you sabo that one, there is another one not too far away ect ect
That's what I think at least, haven't experimented to much with sabo builds
-
@PaintedDeath said:
I know it's a bit of a touchy subject but I feel Flashlights are just way to niche, and useable in only a few instances. I feel like maybe make it so the Killer looking up or down doesn't negate the whole thing, and maybe make completely blinding something that you really gotta time, such as it is now, but other than that you could more easily harass (I'm not referring to BMing and being a jerk) the killer, such as maybe causing them to lose a chase or something. Maybe a mini-blind that shuts off scratch marks for a few seconds, or maybe makes them harder to read.
I mean tbf, if the killer isn't looking at the flashlight...why should they get the stun?

Anyone else having some really weird hook spawns on indoor maps ? had 4 in a row on smaller maps where I downed someone and couldn’t find a hook on that entire side of map/the floor im on, or worse it would be in a corner of a room with 12 tight ass corners that don’t actually lead to the hook .
Had to drop my first downed surv multiple times and knew the match was theirs (I’m hag and pretty new). Also lag is kicking in heavy today .
Agitation mad grit iron grasp trapper for the win, lol

Because whenever i try a killer i don't usually play i get reminded of why i don't play them. Yesterday i played the pig against 4 Sprint Bursts and it took me until the last gen to get a down and a trap. Desperate for a kill i was following the survivor with the trap but they got out through hatch and preceded to be very disrespectful in endgame chat.
Yeah... why should i bother with that?
Yes, decide everything on one game, don't practice to get better nooooooooo, that requires thinking

I don´t think there are many "Nemesis Mains" out there. At least not anymore. His whole addon set is terrible. Zombies to rng. Horrible time efficiency. People probably just play him for a daily and then go back to their mains.
There even was a Otz challenge, where he tried to only use his power as Nemesis and not use m1. Long story short, he ended up downing survivors with m1.
Pyramid head would like a word about terrible add-ons, lol

You have those same standards for killers too when they Camp/Tunnel or are they just skillfully standing by the hook or coming back to it? Maybe they should have a perk that allows you to Camp or Tunnel.
Yeah didn't think so.

Why is everyone so surprised this happens every update? I swear everytime, and it's like, idk...why did BHVR hype up this killer forever? Money, and because of that, alot of people buy and play the killer they're allowed to play because they bought it

@Johnny_XMan said:
I mean did you really expect killer players to play in any other way when the devs are not making substancial changes to that playstyle?
The devs have to hold their hand afterall.
Uh...20 seconds of haste with an unhook with BT ring a bell? If you can't make that work, you deserve to be camped and tunneled

@Grum said:
I was so hyped for Wesker. His power seemed like so much fun to use and go against ( rarity for a DBD killer).
Instead, he released in a state where he may as well not even have a power. His Bound power is virtually unusable. Sometimes you hit a survivor with it and just harmlessly slide around them. Sometimes you grab a survivor with it and the game just freaks out and has you immediately drop them without doing damage. Sometimes you grab them, hold onto them for about ten seconds, doing nothing, then drop them without doing damage. Sometimes you literally pass straight through survivors with it. These aren't even particularly rare occurrences.
Despite narrowing the hitbox on it to what feels like the width of a pencil, to the point it's virtually nonfunctional for actually hitting survivors, you still get stuck dead in your tracks whenever you barely graze any kind of surface while using it, making it almost unusable at most loops. I'm not sure why it was decided that Wesker shouldn't be able to slide around any collision whatsoever (unless it's a survivor, you'll slide around them), but it really sucks. This is a game with Blight, Demo, and Oni sliding around everything, but I guess Wesker would be too powerful if he could slide along a surface with his power that may just not do anything even if it hits a survivor.
I almost feel bad for most of the Weskers I've gone against. Most of them are forced to play the majority of matches as a pure M1 killer because his power straight up doesn't work 90% of the time.
On top of that, his coat physics are broken so it just looks like he's stomping around the map wearing giant bell bottoms or something.
I debated with whether to post this here or on the bug reporting board, but I decided to post it here because I'm sure most of this has already been reported (and BHVR was aware of most of it prior to release and just decided to let people spend money on it anyway). This is mostly me just venting frustration.
Also, Nemesis still has nonfunctional audio and animations.
Idk what to tell you expect that, it's BHVR, what content release WASN'T a buggy mess
Checkmate, lol

basically, killers get to to take away a mechanic from the game the devs put in. i often times find it super pathetic when they get to eliminate hatch all together. They really need to look into this...or just take hatch out altogether.
Hatch kinda needs to be there because a survivor can just take the game hostage by walking around the map doing nothing, with hatch, if the survivor is doing nothing, and the killer finds hatch, he can close it and wait out the 2 minutes the survivor wants to hide for

This is ridiculous. I just had four games in a row with players DCing and giving up on hook. All players with paid RE cosmetics from today. In all four games the killer didn’t even camp or tunnel. These players just “gave up” because they were either found first or just downed. This really baffles me as to why you would spend $18 bucks on skins then not even play the game properly. It’s so frustrating that so many players are like this, ruining the game. How are you supposed to get better if you don’t even try?
‘At this point, I’m all for making disconnects having harsher penalties/longer timeouts. And maybe players who let themselves go on hook an egregious amount of times (especially consecutively) can get a different type of penalty. Idk, I’m just over it. I want to keep playing but this ######### is deflating. Even going into this update KNOWING there will be a lot of DC’ing, still couldn’t prepare me for this. This is just a blatant buzzkill- more than usual.
‘Anyone else tired of this b.s? To the point where you just turn the game off and play something else, and hope when you return most of the quitters will be off?

Yes players like you, because you are complaining about something that is clearly not strong at all when you consider that you can just wait the 5 seconds. It's like imagine if generators had gotten a huge buff and you could finish them way quicker. How ridiculous would it be for someone to complain about them not being done quick enough, because something doesn't go their way in one instance? Sounds very entitled.
I know what you are complaining about, and what I am telling you is that 5 seconds BT does not make a difference in endgame anymore than it does in early game.
Well now it's wait 10 seconds, imagine in a game like dbd, not doing anything for 10 seconds every like 2 minutes? Just sit there, that's a pretty big gap, sure you can move still, but that 10 seconds is a lot, like a 10 second DS, hypothetically

It should appear in the shrine eventually but we still haven’t seen either Leon or Jill’s perks there. It’s probably going to take at least a year before Reassurance shows up.
It's all luck, and with computer luck, it can be very predictable if you keep track of it

Kill switching is just dumb to me anyways. Instead they should fix whatever the issue is. I haven't played DBD much lately because it doesn't deserve it right now and I'm having much more fun with MultiVersus so I don't know what the problem with Sadako is but they should simply fix it and not kill switch it. It's like in GTA (and wasn't this in DBD's past as well?) Where if you exploit a glitch in the game you could get banned in it. They made the bug. Fix the problem. Shouldn't start punishing players or taking away that content. It's really annoying for people who main that character or just have the feeling that they want to play them. Same thing happened to Clown for me and I just simply didn't play that day.
Ah well, um.... you see, fixing stuff takes time, and if you fix it without kill switching it, the that's 50k something players exploiting the bug for their amusement at others cost, so you first kill switch something TO fix it

I dont understand, if you couldnt kill a survivor during the match doesnt make facecamping at endgame less toxic, its like if behaviour thinks that killers deserve at least one kill even if they couldnt do anything during gen phase otherwhise I dont understand why they would make DS and OTR deactive, its so frustating when you make a tiny mistake during EG and then you get killed because a Bubba or Michael camps you
I mean, what else do they have to do, do you want Bubba or Mickey to go in the corner and count the amount of dandelion seeds a plant has?

Seriously 6 games today where I was blinded by someone with endless flashlight. There were many failed attempts working WELL beyond the 8 seconds they were supposed to have every time being equipped with 2 blind duration add-ons. Had a shirtless David earlier on me every time. Most of the time he just failed spending 3+ seconds trying to blind me as I carried to hook after he failed to get the save but he also managed to do some critical timed ones he should have never had the charges to attempt. I even check for that perk that makes them burn charges slower and nadda. Just infinite juice blind sticks. and it's getting to the point if I see flashlights at all I bring lightborn. I should not have to bring a perk to counter hacked flashlights. they by shear amount of use will get their stuns if I don't and often have multiple survivors running them. Seriously I will run lightborn and they will sit there for many times longer than they should shining me in the face then run off and vanish into the night as I hook (the aura doesn't last long enough to catch up and scratch marks will stop random places with no trace)
Simple fix: lightborn

There's this bizarre need to win at all costs. Bloodpoints aren't real currency but to them it might as well be gold or bitcoin or whatever the currency du jour is. To paraphrase, sh*t in one hand and put the 4k from the game in the other and see which one fills up first.
Or y'know, could be doing a challenge, like sacrifice 4 survivors in a single match

Killers.. from a fellow killer main.. please please please stop slugging and bleeding out the last 2 survivors for the 4k.. it’s really not that serious. 2 games in a row I had to sit through the bleed out timer because the killer couldn’t fathom not getting the 4k.
Just hook the third, and if the 4th gets hatch, they get hatch. It’s still a win. :)
Have fun and see you in the fog.
WOW, because this comes from a killer main, it means that EVERYONE should play the way you suggested? See I never knew not have freedom in how you want to play the game could be fun

It's time to bring out the nerf hammer boys. My suggestions:
- Can't be used within 10 meters of pallets or windows
- Reduce duration to 0.4
- Causes a special deep wounds that takes 50% longer to mend
- Exhausted for 60 seconds after use instead of 40
- Doesn't work against killers special attacks
- Permanent 5% hindered on any user running the perk
- Half the speedboost of a normal hit
- Disabled after 1 gen has been completed
Sounds reasonable, yes?
Bruh, it was 80% usage before, this new DH is perfect
Edit: Ok, I deciphered the irony, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually wanted to nerf this again, people are stupid

The obvious and perhaps callous sounding response to this is that if you feel this way, you should step away from the game for a while.
I'm not saying these situations aren't painfully tedious, because they are, I but I firmly believe that if you queue up, you have some obligation to play the match out.*
Anyone who plays the this game as much as the people on this forum probably do knows what almost all the potential permutations of a match are, and if any of those are just not playable to you, don't play at all.
I for one am sick to death of teammates bailing every other match; it's not acceptable.
*exception of course for Hackers
I literally tell my parents, no matter what online game I'm playing, and if they need me "I'm in a game, and I don't want to ruin it for the other X amount of people"
