I'm sure DC's arent counted, but how would they know to throw out giving up on the hook or someone just dying on hook? And what about how those affect the rest of the game? Dwight wastes shack pallet and DC's, ok his death isn't counted. What about the other three of us who have to deal with Pinhead in a 3v1? Do ours count?

No, a game where anyone DC's, that entire game is null and void for stats

  • @GannTM said:

Idk how much worse they can make that perk.

It just always takes a flat 2 minutes, no buffs included to make it better, lol

Not if the killer 1-hooked both of those people, which is entirely possible. The hook counter may give a fake indication that you got "6/12 hooks", but you saw that you didn't get that many. Another thing that would be made more clear if killers had access to individual hook counters.

But if you one hooked them both, they're still alive right? So they're not killed

I did that challenge with Blast Mine/Head On/Quick n Quiet/Parential Guidance. In the end I got it with two head on's, one blast mine and one wriggling off the shoulder, of all things.

    Wait... wiggling off counts? Wow

  • @danielmaster87 said:

It only goes to show that the stats are still analyzing the wrong thing. The average kill rate tells us nothing about how the game plays out at high level, let alone tells the story of the match. A killer who got 2 kills could either have had 2 hooks or 10 hooks.

I mean, if the killer got 2 kills, the game would consider that 6 hooks minimum

His power is making survivors kill themselves. I'm just kidding of course, but it feels like whenever I verse a Freddy invariably someone suicides, I don't even understand.

    That's nurse's job

After Ghostface and Legion, these are my wishes:

    1. Which killers should receive buffs:

    - Sadako (no Antiloop, bad Mori-Ability, TV-Cooldown far too big)

    - Freddy (worst addons in the game, bad Antiloop, which only works while survs are asleep, Immunity from Alarm-Clocks should get removed, maybe Snares + Pallets Basekit like Clowns Bottles)

    - Trapper (Trapper-Sack Basekit, no easy escape from Beartraps... at least u need 3 tries at minimum)

    - Twins (already in the making if i remember last Q&A right)

    2. Which killers should receive nerfs

    - Nurse (dont cares about the rules of the game like Walls, Pallets, Windows... - the best killer in the game)

    - Artist (huge Map-Pressure, loops are useless against her)

    - Spirit (Addons a bit weaker, especially Mothers Dwelling)

    - Blight (Alchemist Ring too powerful)

What are YOUR killers u would like to see changes soon and why.

Oh my gosh, Myers PLEASE, the man needs something else rather than "slightly faster M1 with insta down"

inb4 "but dead hard" i dont use dead hard and never have :)

Just because you didn't use DH doesn't mean it wasn't the most popular perk since release

  • Bruh, you're getting rid of a totem, and getting healing when you can't find your teammates, not to mention even after the cleansing, travel time, and the actual 8 seconds, it's STILL faster than self care

I hope in the future that SWFs can be matched more fairly. They get so many extra game advantages when they use voice communication, but it feels like they are getting matched up as if there were all solo survivors.

Maybe SWFs should have a higher MMR soft cap, and their MMR can be adjusted higher for purposes of matchmaking.

SWFs can be just as garbage as solo... just thinking of my 2 friends, lol

How do you know you're being DDOS'd? Being honest all this shows is an end game screen in which the Killer and one Survivor d/c'd before any other survivors broke 1k points. It's not really proof of anything one way or the other since it's exactly the same kind of screen you'd get if the Killer disconnected that early.

I mean, if they DC right away, the 3 survivors would all have something like 2500 for compensation, at least that always happens for me when the killer DC'S right away

number #1 or #2 most used survivor perks according to some stats

at least one or two dead hards in every lobby same with a lot of streamer lobbies.

this perk is slowly becoming as frustrating to deal with as old dh, and getting robbed out of hits when using powers that don't allow you to wait it out like wesker's bound , trickster's knives or when survivors force a lunge by going to a pallet feels awful.

if we want to improve the killer experience second chance perks and items/addons should not exist outside of dealing with camping/tunneling.

if dead hard is back to being a very popular perk it should be further nerfed imo it's not as bad as its pre nerf version but it isn't exactly balanced.

Bruh... just play trapper, they can't DH over his traps anymore and it actually takes skill (or a script, from what I heard lately) to DH properly now

  • @emetSdidnothingwrong said:

So plenty of people complain about killers doing this and BHVR has added a few mechanics as well as perks to help combat it, which are good imo. However, I think in addition to the "negative" things BHVR has added for killers doing this they should also add something positive to give people a more selfish reason to chase someone else.

My idea is very simple and it's also a two birds one stone thing too: Currently you get 700 points perk hook, my idea is keep this but add an extra 500 if you hook someone different from the last. This would do two things, the first is making it actually possible to hit the new 10k cap, the second is it gives killers a positive reason to not tunnel and not camp. If you camp you get an extra 200 points for the new hook state, however if you let them get unhooked and hook someone new the next time you come back to that first person you now get 1200 points for hooking instead of 200 for camping them to the next state.

TLDR: Make hooking a different person give you an extra 500 points vs tunneling the same one. Hook Survivor1 get 1200 points, hook Survivor1 again get 700 points *VS* Hook Survivor1 get 1200 points, hook Survivor2 get 1200 points, hook Survivor1 again get another 1200 points, etc, etc.

Of course this won't "eliminate" camping but nothing ever will and wanting it totally eliminated is short sighted and shows you don't play killer vs strong teams. Carrot and Stick. Carrot and Stick.

You people just don't get it, killers who tunnel and camp don't care about BP

Because not all experiences of the game are meant to be pleasant to all players. A dedicated player can become a master of particular role or killer simply because they enjoy them while others enjoy a break from that role every once in a while. Not everyone enjoys the pressure that comes with playing killer or the downtime that comes with survivor. Heck, not every killer player enjoy playing all killers, hag for example is quite unpopular in the roster.

I mean sure, but like games like Overwatch or something, you're telling me someone's carrer profile is like 9000+ hours for one hero and not once do they think "Oh, there's someone I got killed by" or something like that

Idk, again it's just really foreign to me personally, like I'm not trying to say you NEED to play other roles or heroes, I just can't fathom sticking to one character, and never exploring what more that game has to offer

  • @lagosta said:

Besides the nature of PvP, we also have people playing 2 different games: Killer, and Survivor. IMO, the chronic lack of empathy rises from the fact that one can play thousands of hours without experiencing the benefits and frustrations that come with the other side.

I still don't get that, like how can you play a game for like 4+ years and never touch half of the game?

I've been playing DBD for 5 years and for the first 2 years played mostly killer. For the last 3 years I've played survivor maybe 90/95% of the time and pretty much only played killer when a new chapter released to test them out or the odd challenge here and there.

The reason I mention this is because I have all killers unlocked and have almost every perk for every killer.

With that being said, I want to get back into killer and would love to try out some builds. They don't need to be meta or OP builds, I just want some variety so I can start getting better.

  • @predalienman1 said:

I am tired of people telling me this game is killer-sided after the recent patch, I really am. Solo-survivors playing casually crying about killers being too strong after losing to (I KID YOU NOT) a goddamn Wraith of all things is so cringe I have no words.

People complain about STBFL, Devour, Make Your Choice, Starstruck and the list goes on. What I do not understand is that, why are people complaining if all of these (and many more perks) have counterplay. Hexes can be cleansed and therefore gone forever(unlike a certain surv perk that can be placed at the edge of a map AND replaced at will), STBFL can be countered with correct bodyblocking (I guess that requires teamwork and knowledge of the game, oh no) and as soon as people know about Starstruck they can just split up and never come within a kilometer of eachother. (Needless to say all of that is 10 times easier while in SWF).

I do not think killers are THAT weak, but there a things survivors can do that have 0 counterplay if you are not running top 3 killers and sweating out of your mind.

I am gonna go over some points which are brought up often to make clear how I feel about things.

-Godpallets. Yeah, Blight and Nurse can ignore them (the first one only to an extent), but you know who cannot? Every other killer in the game. You just have to loop around the shack\rpd hall\main buildings in general. And it is gonna take you a good 3 to 4 loops around the structure to get the pallet out. (While 3 people are hammering on gens, most likely). And there are maps there these pallets can be back-toback-to-back, like Eyrie of Crows or RPD.

-DH. Yeah, you thought that was a nerf? I agree only 50% on that. DH is still the same second chance perk it always was. Yeah, it does not give distance now and does not let you dodge doctor's shock\slinger's shot (Imagine playing around something). People are still using in exactly same situations to avoid hits and make 50-50s into unwinnable situations. Oh and speaking of that, people can now take one-shot hits with DH to cover their team. Remember the times when people lined up to protect someone at the endgame? They can now do it while injured with enough practice, so you gotta eat through 3 people with 3 deadhards, so the kill-denial game is stronger than ever.

-Genrushing. But OP, the gens are now 90 seconds!!!!How can people genrush?????? In the current patch there are games with the first gen being doing within a minute. If you don't believe me-go believe YouTube. Prove Thyself still exists, BNPs still exist, toolboxes still exist, and while overall regression perks have gotten better since they are percentage-based, so did BNPs, which are also percentage-based. I personally won games with people having 4 bnps, but it was pure dumb luck on my part (finding the first person quickly and snowballing from there). If that does not happen-the game is pretty much going downhill, especially on larger maps.

-99% exit gates..should not be a thing in my opinion. I don't think it's powerful(aside from denying BloodWarden and purple nemesis addon), it just makes the game very lame in my opinion, making situations where you are held in the game for far longer than you should be is tedious.

As a bit of a side note, I'd like to address complaints about Overcharge\Call of Brine\Eruption. This one is just funny IMO. A killer needs to have these perks in the first place, get to a gen in time and kick it to activate them(Eruption takes kicking several gens on top of needing a down to activated effectively). Even so, against people with 1 brain cell it will proc only once (or maybe never, since it's effect is felt immediately and if you are hit with it once you will just let go of any gen you are working on so you don't get incapacitated. And you know what survivors can do to stop overcharge\call of brine combo? Touch a gen for exactly a millisecond. Hell, people are doing this during chases ffs. I will not get into the new survivor meta, since people already figured it out. I do love me some people healing in my face at the speed of sound, while being on an entirely safe loop.

Before you start typing these very smart and original comments of yours, I have been playing this for almost 500 hours, so do not come at me with that "you have not seeing anything yet" type speech, I have outplayed and killed people with 7k+ hours and recieved #########-talk for doing so (while running a non-meta build, mind you). For most of the time when I was not burnt-out I got to Iridescent rank 1 and I have purchased and played every killer, so I am not entirely clueless as to what I am talking about.

    SWF>Killer>SoloQ

If you are sure that hitting the same Survivor twice counts, then I must be off by a second or so. Guess next time I will just record it and look at the time afterwards.

Yeah, unfortunately, every second really does count, I was doing an easier challenge, I think getting chased for 180 seconds and after the trial I went in, I was 179/180 afterwards

whats...whats the history here. ill gladly listen to this but what happened here

    Don't even get me started

    ...ok, I'm started, lol

So me and my friend were in a trial, as you could've guessed already, I was Kate he was Ace, and we were facing trapper

The trapper was doing fine, pretty normal stuff but at some point me and my friend were both injured and we found each other and started to heal. I was happy because I was gonna get my challenge done (heal X survivors) and I foolishly said to my friend "don't cancel it" and so he clicked L1 (PlayStation) and started healing me, but I wanted the healing challenge, so I cancelled and started healing him, and then he cancelled... well you get the point

And this went on for a solid 3 minutes, and finally the trapper came by, killed me, and my friend was so happy he got away with it I texted the trapper and said "kill Ace please" and the trapper didn't even hesitate to smack my friend and hook him

And now any chance I get to sabo my friend, granted it won't effect the trial because it'll be just the 2 of us

I try everything to get the killer to go and kill Ace

    ...The End

Ik it doesn't really have much to do with pointing, but this was the story I needed to get off my chest, lol

  • @tippy2k2 said:

As a killer, I always make sure the snitch is the one who dies. Snitches end up in Ditches bro.

Ideally I also am able to allow the non-snitches to survive. It doesn't always happen as sometimes it looks like they're snitching on each other so I'm not sure who is the bad guy and who is the good guy, in which case I'll likely just kill them both and let God sort it out.

If a Kate and an Ace are pointing at each other, please kill the Ace, you'd be doing me a solid, lol

Eh, I would say there are much better solo Q perks such as the following

Off the record - dont have to worry about a teammate unhooking you infront of the killer and them waiting out the base BT, also helps with tunneling if you can lead on a chase

Windows - this allows you to see where all pallets are so you dont run into dead zones, it also let's you see where people are getting chased within a certain range (if you see a pallet aura drop someone is being chased there)

Adrenaline - if you're hooked just before the endgame this will heal you so you arent an easy endgame tunnel and dont need to rely on your team body blocking for you

Kindred- just so your team can be more efficient including you. But honestly even with this multiple people may still come for the save lol

Exhaustion, just a great set of perks that you should use.

I'd also add inner healing, medkit etc. A way to heal as a solo Q is huge, plus if you mix a medkit with resilience you get a wonderful combo

About windows: we can't rule out that your teammates just an idiot and drops a pallet because they want to

  • @jesterkind said:

Depends on how it's done. Knowing where a dull is and cleansing it between either being in a chase or repairing a generator - IE, the actual direct contributions to the trial - is perfectly fine even without any perks that proc off cleansing dulls.

If you've got those perks, though, you're obviously doing fine. Getting value from your perks between chases and generators is actively good in most cases.

It's so annoying sometimes because my teammates never cleanse totems, but as soon as I equip Small game and inner healing, EVERYONE wants the totems now, lol

It already does. If the killer DCs, that match is over.

Giving them the possibility of opening the games after 5 minutes would give them a stimulus to stay in the match and fight to turn the game around before giving it up as a whole.

So if a survivor DC's, it's completely fine and the survivors should just learn to have fun?

  • @lagosta said:

That could easily be avoided by allowing the killer to open the gates after 4-5 minutes into the match regardless of the gen state.
