    yeah.

    this game's balanced. shocker, right?

think on that for a bit.

    • your favorite least favorite killer main, dgbug.

lmao, in a game when we have killer like ghostface and killer like nurse this should tell you how much "balanced" this game is... not to mention all the broken stuff that should be nerfed and the maps that are awful...

So i've played dbd since 2017 and ive taken a little break every now and then (after legion got released for obvious reasons :p) and now. I dont enjoy the game anymore killers have been so hard buffed that every match is a loss if you play soloQ. Teammates run the killer for 10 max 20 sec and DC or just suicides on hook its unplayable unless ur a 3 or 4 man swf or sometimes on rare occasions when you do get decent teammates. Almost half my matches are DCs or suicides on first hook. + There are also a sh*t ton of camping and tunneling like before but whatever :P

Do you guys find the game more enjoyable now or did you like it more a few years earlier? (both killer and survivor)

LMAO killer hard buffed? are you playing another game perhaps? please, they received a couple of minor buffs, but the maps, items, addons and perks as basekit for survivor says all...

I have played dozen of killer and survivor matches. I keep noticing that people, even if I do tricks that I learned throughout the games or from people who main killers (mostly from streams), I see the same survivors doing it not only once, twice, no, they do it multiple times whenever they got their Dead Hard up and running. It becomes crystal clear that they're using something to enable their Dead Hard just when I am about to hit them. I even did an experiment where I didn't attack for 20 seconds while a survivor was injured, and that survivor never activated Dead Hard even though I was breathing down their neck until I start to attack it and he magically activated his Dead Hard at the right time. Sorry, but I don't believe 1 bit that 1 guy can do this again and again every time his Dead Hard was up. That's frankly impossible unless you have your brain connected to the computer with instant reaction time.

Then I didn't even talk about the other subtle cheats using a slight movement speed boost, mostly it's 0.2m/s extra but I had a match where a Claudette was increasing her movement speed the closer I get. There was no chance for me to hit her despite my efforts.

It seems that PC hackers can't be stopped no matter what BHVR does. Online games on PC has and always will be a problem, no matter how good their anti-cheat is.

yesterday it was full of them: didn't had a single match without those kind of "people" (i would have used other terms to describe them, but i would be probably permabanned for it), even when i was using the nurse people were impossible to hit (literally they deactivate their hitboxes, even going through me despite my hitbox should have block them in a corner)... for me this game become just unplayable right now (a pity cause i enjoyed it a lot), i think that i'll go on evil dead and i won't come back this time

  • you'll get nothing, that's why it's dumb imo putting efforts to reach that level of prestige with a single character when you could have used those bp more wisely on the others characters

Everyone buying a game is free to play it in the way he/she prefers to (in the respect of everyone), and communities keep games alive, but what do you think of the trend that this game is having to become more a sport? With sport I mean that people see killers and run into them to show off their ability to "loop". I am not speaking of very organized teams that play with their resources and menage to escape chases brillantly.

I have an imagination of this game growing and growing. Eventually with better graphics and more and more attentions for details. Eventually physics and sounds. There are so many things that can be done in this unique game, that for me is a 💯 of an videoludic experience. It doesn't have any competition. They can just add a shrunk battleship or primal cave with an alien in it, or a super cool castle with a vampire, infinite scenarios. The base idea of this game is truly magnificent. And for me it should focus on doing what it's best at, a way to enjoy loved horror killers and their scenarios.

I don't want to go into details specifying how strong pallets are and so on. This game can truly dominate the next years if it plays its cards good! I would like to see if anyone is playing the game for this vibe or you are all about bringing killers around pallets and enjoy tbagging at the exit gates xd

lmao, dbd had his time to become something better, but devs after each update released have worsened the situation instead of improving it. i was like you in the earliest days of my games, then after reaching a certain point i realized how much hopeless this game was (is). Sooner or later you'll start to see it too...

  • trapper should have both his red addons as default for being somewhat viable

We can compare eruption to another meta slowdown perk: Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.

Scourge Hook require both a down and then that down to be taken to a scourge hook, this removes 15% of a gen or 13.5 seconds off of a generator, which majority of the time wont have any more regression cos someone is working on the gen.

Eruption require a down but doesn't need the hook, just the fact that you have kicked the gen before hand AND it effects multiple generators. It removes 10% off of each gen so 9 seconds - 64 seconds but usually you'll see about 2-3 gens with 10% progress being effected so 18-27 seconds, so let's says 18 seconds as a lower average. This alone would be enough to make the perk have more value than Pain Res.

    BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...

There's the undodgeable Incapacitation for 25 seconds. This sets the gen to regress at 25% speed. Meaning each gen will lose a further 6.25 seconds.

Therefore each gen effected will usually lose 15.25 seconds of progress. Meaning 2 gens lose 30.5 seconds of progress.

    TL:DR

Scourge Hook: Pain Res = 13.5 seconds

    Eruption = 15.25 seconds/generator

there's a little thing that you didn't put into the equation: the time needed to apply eruption (you literally don't have the time to kick every gen in your way, especially in the beginning when survivors can potentially/easily finish 3 gens even before the 1st chase will end). You can still apply it on a 3 gen situation and if at least one survivor died before reaching that phase, but it's still extremely situational

this is our entire conversation in a nutshell. 5% because official stats were for 5% and that in fact is a good skill group.

But I am done with you. Your "logic" is obviously more then objective data. If I was to insert "logic" from my perspective and disregard things that go my way, I would state the fact that killers now easily can 4k 10x in a row and are buffed beyond belief - because even these things happen. But I don't use personal experience and don't sell it as "logic" like you. I use official stats.

And no - if you knew something about statistics and pre-filtering of data, you would also know that if the game "crashes" way too often against nurse, then a, there might be bug in her that actually indeed crashes the game (but people would complain) b, she actually stomps people so consistently, that people rage quit against her significantly often.

And about Wesker - you clearly did not see good weskers. Like for really good wesker shack (this is example) does less then nothing and is practically trap - same way as you have 0 chance if it's nurse 4m away from you and she has charged blinks. But you are probably not one of those so you can't fathom why he would have such a good score at high MMR

i should have expected it... you are one of those white knights who blindly defend stats without question if those stats were TRUE IN THE 1ST PLACE (and even if those were truthful, you REFUSE to see the main causes that lead to those data) and when out of arguments just says "i'm finished to talk with you"... stats aren't reliable, period. You can think otherwise if you want, but it won't change what i said... You don't have any valid argument to substain your thoughts, at this point it's pointless keep arguing with ya since you know that i'm right.

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260968#Comment_3260968

1, Nurse is by stats ALREADY strong. Just not strongest. I suspect that's because of DC's against her (and dev stating that they don't count games where DC happens). Check recent stats. She is by no means weakest.

Also pig is not the strongest one. So again you are wrong. Check those stats. Specifically those best 5% stats, because community agrees you should not balance around average.

2, so you are talking about old stats. Check new ones. I am talking about those that have wesker as #1 in both pick AND kill rate.

3, So stats about kill rate are way too unreliable even if most people are trying to kill/survive as their base objective, but your statements are 100% accurate and by no means anecdotal or biased. I see.

4, again you provide bullet proof arguments in "it shows" and "when you know" and other nonsense. Maybe you could just admit that you are totally wrong biased killer main that wants to have every game as easy as it gets? Or try to play both sides to see how much "survivor sided" some maps actually are. You will fix your perspective VERY quickly this way.

Or maybe you are the one who play only survivor, who knows? I can play this game too ya know? i don't have interests to take one side or the other since i want a funny game overall for both sides (in the past i already stated that adding ten seconds to generators was a mistake and that survivors should have a 2nd objective to do, more interactive and funny than pressing m1 on a idle object...). Anyway i'll be brief because it seems that you REFUSE to see how much ######### up certain maps can be on a logical plan:

1 and even so, do you really think that she's not the strongest despite your precious stats says otherwise (by logic dc shouldn't indeed be considered for various factors: things like bugs, crashes and the entitlement of the people can boost wrongfully the killrate, not to mention that having to deal with less people will make a lot more easier the killer's job, so definetely dc aren't something that should be considered)? Please, i don't trust those stats at all for the simple fact that they won't tell you the truth about the real state of the game. I know that pig was in the previous stats, it was just an example about how much ridicolous those stats can be and why i don't rely about them in terms of balance. Game balanced around the top 5%? pfffff LMAO, A pity that this game is BALANCED around average survivors/killers, otherwise we wouldn't have seen unnecessary nerfs like the one did to deathslinger or hillbilly (just to name a couple of examples)

2 Wesker in the top... and nothing, this alone is hilarious and enforce what i said before

3 my statements were done based ALSO on my personal experience and using some logic/brain, thing that people doesn't seems to comprehend (also what you said is wrong since most people are playing to do the challenges in the tome rather than pursuing their "vanilla" goals, making those stats even more useless... again, no logic used to analize the situation)

4 those aren't nonsense statements (for example you have mentioned the 5% of the elite players previously didn't you? so for you those players doesn't know how to run tiles and loop correctly if you think that i just said nonsense stuff... you are contradicting yourself)

Seriously, it’s so boring just being camped all game, how is it fun for them?

This play style needs to be addressed, at least tunnelling is interactive and can be countered by perks and good teammates

If you’re being camped by a Bubba there is literally nothing you or your team can do. Even Reassurance or Deliverance/ OTR can’t save you

I get it, I play both sides so I get that sometimes proxy camping or tunnelling is necessary to win, but if you’re camping someone at 5 gens then it’s kind of pathetic, surely just watching someone on a hook for 2 minutes isn’t very fun?

I know it will be tricky balancing Bubba’s chainsaw without nerfing it too much but something needs to be done about him making unhooks literally impossible

leave bubba alone. it's one of the few killers that can actually let you punish people for being toxic (the other is using nurse with the strongest addons).

I provided devs stats that clearly say something is wrong with the map. You provided statementvthat it ain't so. Well. Who proved something with evidence?

Or should I find that image for you? Btw that one is from before patch 6.1 so it is 100% above those 60% (but sure enough. I have no other prove for this one, other then general kill rate went from 49% to 61% AND midwitch didn't change)

1st of all stats aren't a proof, just a data to put into the equation (for those data then nurse should be BUFFED and pig NERFED if you wanna look at it for example, this alone is quite hilarious imo). 2nd those stats were done without a real reference point (levels of mmr) but they were related about the ENTIRE playerbase (meaning that this will consider matches with people too much busy to hide in bushes and doing nothing (or just trolling/throwing the match for a challenge in the tomes) rather than doing generators or looping the killer (there are A LOT of those people btw). 3rd stats are too much flawed to be considered a valid data regarding the game balance overall (example i can do a 0/4 with 8 hooks but based on those kind of data this is a complete failure, or the opposite, where i can do a 4/4 with just 1 hook in the end thanks to blood warden, or the survivors are self suiciding on the hook on purpose cause they don't want to go aganist a specific killer). Those are the reasons why i don't consider those kind of information reliable. In the meantime my example despite wasn't stated by the devs, it shows how much broken certain maps can be if you are smart enough to chain loops (in that case midwitch), to put that knowledge on practice could be hard in the beginning, but once you have an idea about how to loop (and based on the killer that you are facing of course), keeping busy the killer become much more easier, and this is a undeniable fact.

yea maybe tunneling that one troublesome survivor at the start is a good strat

    ty for that advice

Or maybe not because they WANT to be chased since they'll know each loop of the map pretty much well and eventually they'll play safe in order to avoid being downed (unless you are a nurse, Don't even waste time chasing those subjects)... Problem is that if all the survivors in the team are like that guy, there's not much you can do except camp the 1st guy that you have caught

The saddest part is: Badham was the first map to be reworked and still has a really problematic design.

yep, that was the main reason why i was upset when i saw it the rework the 1st time... to "fix" the problems of infinites in that map they just added a couple of breakable doors: 2 in the main building, the school (while doing so they added a couple of pallets INTO the building just to make it even more safer than before, add the fact that hooks are all situated out from the building and you NEED to destroy those doors in order to reach a hook, opening again this "FIXED" infinite and you got a mess), 1 in the building with the "fake basement" and 2 in the building with the generator situated in the 2nd level of that building. it was funny when in those times people kept defending that rework when i said from the beginning that they actually worsened that map overall, just to APPARENTLY get rid of those infinites...

  • i hope (VERY probably it won't happen) that bhvr will gave us some free shards/bp for those issues...

same for your takes i guess... only a blind (or a fool) would still deny what i stated, proved with evidence unlike your claim... pointless to reason with people who don't wanna hear anything but their truth

Devs don't count matches with DC - hence nurse.

Anyway midwitch is terrible AND 100% killer sided. You saying otherwise just shows how much "high MMR" you are. The only people that bring this offering are killers. Speaks of itself. Tiny map (especially for nurse and area-effect killers like otherwise poor sadako), no really strong structures a lot of "you will die here" "loops" and multitude of places that once 1 or 2 pallets are gone, there is litterally nothing you can do in that area, but get hit.

Very survivor sided things indeed. You "high MMR" 😂

because you constantly see my matches uh? As i said i don't think that you are playing in high mmr because good survivors in that map are extremely difficult to catch (i won't even consider nurse cause she literally play another kind of game... like SWF)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay2Mv-UNJmc just an example how this map is "killer" side /s

  • @Meako said:

I'm a survivor main, who currently plays killer, at least a few times a day. I don't have any problem playing killer in regards to experience/skill, and this isn't some rant about which side needs buffs or nerfs.

I play survivor so much that it can often feel boring, and i ponder the thought of playing some killer.  I love many killers and how they're designed, and i'd love to invest the same, if not, more time into playing as killer. However, when i play killer, the mindset is completely different. You can't use a fun or experimental build like you can in survivor, without the real expectation that you're probably gonna get pwned. Sometimes it feels like the system is against you, and you have to play aggressively to come close to winning. It feels like all hell is going to break loose, if you don't kill at least one survivor in the trial, or you've failed completely. This is regardless of how many hooks you got.

When i play as survivor, winning means almost nothing to me. I can take the fat L consecutively. As killer, it genuinely sucks. I've gone so far as to play Nurse with a sweaty build and secure the 4k at 3gens. Then i'll feel empty, like i didn't really enjoy playing so sweaty, like i didn't really deserve the win too. However, i'll play a killer whose playstyle i genuinely enjoy. A killer that isn't considered as strong at high MMR. Then i'll get served by a sabo squad or something like that. Before you know it, the only real move left when you've completely lost pressure, is to start camping and tunnelling. Which i don't think anyone enjoys.

I asked a popular twitch streamer who plays killer almost always, "What's the secret to becoming a killer main" The response i got was "You have to secretly enjoy pain" . I don't really know what to do with that so my question goes out to other killer mains i guess. How do you do it? How do you take the L and move on so religiously. How do you shake off the competitive mindset, and play for fun. No matter the build, no matter the killer you've picked, and regardless of the outcome. Do i just need anger management? Do i have an inflated ego, or are you guys just built different.

    Thanks

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6KF1XX6CQWT8/giphy-286-29456.gif

before (2019) it was just playing the game without being too much worried about the outcome, then after all the nerfs done to gen regression perks (especially the old version of ruin that allowed me to play completely chill without being a prick) i was slowly changing my gameplay, being a prick aganist tryharders and playing more harsh/rough generally speaking. now well, the only thing that i still consider it enjoyable (but it gets old fast) is to troll people with bubba (it's also the only way to gave toxic SWF what they seek... an unfun match) since the implementation of the new MMR, putting me aganist toxic scumbags all the time...

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3258227#Comment_3258227

You clearly have 0 idea what you talk about. Midwitch has highest kill rate out of all maps in game. Stats from devs. So sure - not killer sided at all xD. Shelter woods is huge, contains 1 strong structure (shack) and has 6-11 pallets in whole map. Very survivor sided again.

Please don't speak if you don't play the game

i've more knowledge than you can think about this game and i can safely say that you are the one that you aren't playing this game at highest mmr if you think that midwitch is killer side (stats prove absolutely nothing, especially the ones that those devs release: i can do A LOT of examples, but i'll limit myself to 1... pig killrate and nurse killrate, nuff said)

  • @Nun_So_Vile said:

Yes. There would be no risk for killers since they'd just have infinite hooks with no worry of making deadzones. That would take away a piece of what little strategy and resource management goes into killer gameplay.

Then they should have done this also regarding basekit bt (it promotes bad gameplay since you should be punished and not rewarded for doing a save while the killer is still near) or with the upcoming patch (if your entire team is slugged, the fault is only yours for staying in the same point all together... little exception when the killer is a god player nurse with her best addons and infectious fright). I see only double standard here tbh

  • @legacycolt said:

This only proves how overpowered the nurse is.

OR how much bad those survivors were... doing so few points with 3 brand new parts is almost impossible to do unless you are a complete potato

  • @Gandor said:

So another survivor-favoring map should be completely reworked, because this one favors survivors. God forbid to touch shelter woods or midwitch or any other map that favors killers.

Anyway - badham basement is not that bad once you break both doors. You are guaranteed at least 2 hooks within carry distance no matter where you down the survivor. Possibly 4 (each side of main can have 1 hook. But sure - if this creates such a problem, main could have 1 additional hook in bottom part of main.

midwitch and shelter woods killer side? LOL

midwitch is so much killer side that you can easily kept busy the killer for 5 gen just by pressing w+shift the entire game and using the windows (what i did to a poor spirit the last time i played in that map as survivor, kept her busy for 3 gen only in a single part of the map)

shelter woods has only 1 major issue for the survivors, the lack of pallets in the centre of the map, aside that the borders are safe and the map itself is too much big to defend, without mentioning that sometimes jungle gym will spawn near each other, giving you a easy time for dealing with the killer (unless nurse obviously)

regarding the doors in badham, if you break them you'll bring back the old infinite of that map, so that's not a valid option and as i said before, there's a good possibility that hooks won't spawn threre (especially if you put the oak offerings), put also toolboxes into the equation and you know why this is painful to deal with it

  • @The_Krapper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3247099#Comment_3247099

I'm sorry but if they're literally throwing in your face with sabo builds and everyone there taking hits for each other there's no reason why you can't get the slug unless you're playing a bottom tier killer and even then it begs the question why would you do that to yourself if you're at a level where your survivors are coordinating like that? Why not play a better killer? PH literally counters that entire strategy with his power alone, and that math is incorrect because there is no way to run in a straight line for that long inside the school, youre quoting what tru3 said in his experiment which is hogwash anyway because he sets it up with survivors far enough ahead from the start that no killer with half a brain will commit to a chase where the survivor has half a map length in distance already on you, in fact he makes them restart a few times in his "hold w" video because he was about to prove himself wrong

You forgot a couple of things to put into the equation:

1 I can't know what survivors will bring, so I can't counter them properly already from the beginning (plus sacrifical wards are really rare to find in the bloodweb and honestly I prefer using bp bonus offerings rather than choosing where to play since randomness should be the main rule regarding the maps)

2 I shouldn't be forced to use a certain killer to counter this kind of unfair plays (for that logic i should always play nurse for countering the few SWF swat squads out there for example)

3 maybe not running in a straight line, but you forgot also that windows and pallets exist, and windows alone are usually enough to kept you busy for the time needed

  • @The_Krapper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/352712/badhams-school-area-should-be-completely-reworked

If they just put one hook in the preschool basement it would fix the problem, and if a whole squad is doing that once unbreakable goes live you can easily slug for the finishing Mori because they're more than likely all gonna be in the same area to take hits and sabo

i doubt that people will stay idle to get slugged, not to mention that the survivors will literally recover faster than the killer slugging. Even running in a straight line the killer will need more than 22,5 seconds (if we put also bt into the equation or an exhaustion perk) in order to down someone, add also the fact that this building has 3/4 pallets and the window under the school and you'll get the idea why this isn't a good premise at all... as i said this imo will only worsened the situation. that building alone is already too much safe.

Nurse according to people to the best killer in the game earning the S tier rank for the fact she's balanced...then why do people camp with her if she's powerful there isn't a reason to camp then.

because you can still easily loose if you play with "honor". Sometimes situations force you to do unfun but effective things in order to have chances of winning. This is valid for both sides btw

I mean, yeah, that just proves why they get small changes, can you imagine a nurse with a permanent STBFL 8 stack?

in that case it would be perfectly balanced since nurse relies on her blinks to catch people (after blinking no matter what, you'll have the SAME cooldown since fatigue isn't affected by STBFL). if you are caught by a walking nurse then you deserved to being downed

    #makebillygreatagain

I NEVER USE BROKEN STUFF, and this is for both sides... If i should found someone with that addon you will be sure that i'll tunnel to death said guy, no matter what will happen... i DESPISE broken stuff and if you bring it against me it's like a declaration of war (same matter when people bring map offerings and toolboxes)

How many people can honestly say they have never used DH or DS? I'll go first me. I am terrible at hard skill checks so I won't use DS. And DH well I'm terrible with timing so won't use it. Be honest. This is a fun thread not a mean thread as I am really curious who don't.

never used would be a blatant lie since dead hard was also present in the tomes... usually those perks won't ever see the light of the day (maybe a little exception for DS because i could have the goal to stun the killer or if i'm constantly putted aganist "tunneling" killers)

It's beyond me as I don't have any interest in her what so ever.

    Is it her cosmetics?

People who main her why do you liker her and what makes her so popular.

i DESPISE her. There isn't a single thing that i like about her... Her screamings? annoying. Her skins? Too much bright. Not to mention that most of the cheaters that i found in the game were using that character... i've a particular hatred for the (in)famous bunny feng skin (you'll probably be tunneled to death)...

Anonymous Mode's main goal is to mitigate harassment and targeting, I'm not sure what this has to do with Killers thinking they were facing a SWF.

it did it poorly honestly... to find informations about players that you faced it's sufficient go on steam... there's a area where it will show you the last players that you faced (yes, even the ones in anonymous mode)

I will name some and u guys can continue the list, name what it is, explain why it's stupid and propose a change to it:

Medkits: pressure killer, makes some strategies completely unviable, BY MILES the best item in the game. Either they should allow 1 self heal, nerf the speed to something like 24-32 seconds or just allow you to heal other teammates at a much hier speed something like 6 seconds.

    Nurse: nurse

Eruption: being unable to do ######### for 25 seconds because the killer kicked a gen before is big bs, the perk need a big chance to be close to the other slow downs after the 6.1.0 update.

    Keep going :)

1 map offering, hooks and fog offerings

2 iri and purple addons/items (boost too much)

3 dead hard (maps are already too much safe and adding in practice a 3rd health state was an AWFUL decision imo)

    4 adrenaline (healing part)

5 all those pallets and windows near each other in certain maps (the game, lery, garden of joy are some examples) or deadzones without a single pallet/window (shelter woods)

  • i wonder why people are giving importance to this thread... everyone with a modicum of experience as killer know for sure that's a blatant lie... even a nurse can be beaten if the survivors are good... aganist other killers instead it's more than enough playing safe most of the times in order to win...

Or, since many PC players will have an NVIDIA graphics card, it's also possible that NVIDIA rolled out a bad driver. It wouldn't be the first time.

All I'm saying is, when the game crashes, it's likely the game itself. But when the whole machine is freezing and gets unresponsive, so it has to be restarted, that usually points to some driver / os / hardware issue.

technically it shouldn't be the same for other games too then? yet with the other games everything is going smoothly, without problems

    @Ghoste said:

I play on a crappy laptop and I haven’t crashed once during this event. Perhaps your PC is the issue.

a lot of people complained about those crashes and my pc isn't exactly a weak one... i strongly doubt it that's a issue of my pc if most of the people out there have a similar experience...

  • @CoDismylife said:

If these stats didn't meaning nothing, why did bhvr make basekit changes according to "low Killrate" (joke in itself btw) so they can get higher kill rate stats? Make sense out of this.

Yall trying to downplay the meaning of these stats just so you can keep your comfy basekit buffs.

Reality is, these stats say a lot and it clearly shows that on average AT EVERY MMR killers are winning more than they lose.

If YOU LOSE a lot of your games it just shows you aren't that good, simple.

Remember that they also nerfed the twins best addons because for their statistics they were "overused" in the HIGH mmr... You heard me: Not in low mmr but in high mmr... Like the twins weren't already weak... Yep, I agree "stats means nothing" is a lie, it's a useful thing used by the devs to do senseless nerfs...

And where is YOUR Proof that it's the game that froze your pc? A graphics driver bug could do the same, which the game would only use!

I for my part NEVER have experienced DBD freezing my whole PC. Game crashes sure, there were plenty, but never had to restart my machine. So which anectotal evidience counts more, yours or mine?

All the problems that people are experiencing aren't already a solid proof? Nuff said...

  • @Opossum_Supremacy said:

I've recently begun playing DBD again after a year long hiatus. One of the first new killers I jumped on was Dredge, who I've been playing nonstop and have been enjoying a ton.

During my hiatus, I kept up with content creators such as Otzdarva who have said Dredge is pretty upper mid/B tier. However, I've been seeing comments in my games lately from survivors saying Dredge is overpowered or just incredibly strong (Yes I know a lot of it is probably just salt but none the less it's made me curious enough to start this thread.)

I was particularly surprised to see that his killrate is higher than both Nurse and Blight even at top MMR. The recent kill data released only seems to confirm that he's stronger than what I've heard previously.

I'm curious what others thoughts are. Is he in a good spot? I need of buffs or nerfs? I'm particularly interested in the opinions of long time and high MMR players.

Noob stomper. That's all. Decent survivors will beat him quite easily. The only thing that can actually be annoying for the survivors is the nightfall (and even then you can partially counter it with WoO), aside that mechanic his basekit is underwhelming (remenant placed? w+shift for countering it. Teleport? slow af except when in nightfall and the lockers can be locked)

Yes, I have 26 years of computer experience, that's my proof.

then i wonder how you could consider those problems just normal administration... seriously, after all those years and they still have a game that seems a new game under development (aka a beta version)

  • @Unimatrix00 said:

I don't think the bugs in the game are going to ruin your computer, even if you have to hard reset it. It isn't really how computers work. Now, if you wanted to screw up your computer hard reset it or shut it down when it's installing updates while it's either starting up or restarting.

did you have proofs of what you said? it isn't normal what's happening right now, and in the doubt i prefer don't play at all 1 game than keep playing this game with the risk to have my computer ruined by it... you are free to do whatever you want, but personally i want a stable game without risks

And what about a killer that did nothing but facecamp a hook surv during the EGC? This is widely accepted in this forum.

i'll ask you something simple... what is supposed to do a killer once all the gens are done? there aren't gens to defend anymore, there are only survivors to hook/sacrifice on the map... with that in mind, why the killer should leave the hook once all the gens are done? At this point the killer is securing 1/4 of thier goal

  • @UMCorian said:

Eh, if they're gloating about an escape hatch survive, they're probably a big reason why the other 3 souls are the Entity's caviar. I'd just thank them and say: "Hope you're in my next game too."

Killers response to Solo Queue players "Get a SWF and get good"

    Survivor gets in a SWF

    Killer complains about SWF.

    Never ending cycle.

i don't remember something like that... as for me my reponse would be to do a petition to relegate SWF in custom matches, so you can finally balance the game around solo survivors...

  • @Rizzo said:

If you are referring to this, well a bug fix is not a "shadow nerf":

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GCY9H7V4DXID/image.png

Besides the fact that if something is explicitly posted in the patch notes cannot really be defined as shadow nerf.

honestly i didn't read the patchnotes, but i considered this as a feature... if you stay in that zone without escaping despite having that possibility, it's fair that you should pay for the mistake

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/350681/differences-between-killers-and-survivors

The Survivor-100% BP is just giving 100% of the inmatch-BP, means you just get double points for doing gens, but the bp are still capped at 10k. So basicly, you get to the 10k limit faster, but cant exceed it,while bbq and wglf used to give you 100% for the match-bp, outside the category-limit.

Also, a lot of killers have addons that give bonus-bp in certain categories, which survivors dont have.

wrong, before the "prestige" rework both killers and survivors have a specific perk for gaining more bp (we're gonna live forever and barbecue and chili), now both sides have this nice feature removed from those perks. Both parties have perks that can only improve the efficiency to gain the maximun points in certain categories (for example distressing and beast of prey will improve the points made in the brutality and deviousness category, same for prove thyself and no one left behind). Regarding the addons that will improve the bp gained usually they aren't worth it because the nerfs that involve your power are too much heavy (you'll do more points addonless than using those addons). you know, it's funny that survivors don't have a similar concept regarding certain items/addons (ESPECIALLY for the red ones)...

  • @i_dont_care223 said:

tell me…why aren’t u guys reworking her already shes been a problem for years every game against nurse people dc or suicide on hook shes ruining the fun that should be a top 5 priority i‘ll gladly have a delayed chapter if it means nurse is getting reworked

as a killer main i would gladly agreed for giving nurse a proper rework BUT if this should ever happen then SWF should be relegated ONLY in custom matches... both are the " press the *i win* button" and are annoying to face to say the least...
