Oh I get it you have a superiority complex. I'm supposed to respect you because you played video game 1 year earlier than me. Yeah no buddy. You didnt do nothing special other than spend like 20 dollars and enjoy a game. That's really all it is.
I don't have superiority complex that doesn't matter to me , it's true that the game wouldn't be here without the people who grind it from the beginning because they didn't even expect this game to become as big as it did , the people who supported them made it all possible and that was a gift to us for being there , it's BS to just piss it out to people when it was presented to us as a thank you , does that make more sense ?

Didnt you guys get like a double bloodpoints event at the last week for the final push? Also being an og doesnt mean much in the long scheme of things other players could have way more hours than you.
It does matter because without people like me , people like you never get to see this game it possibly doesn't stay alive and ends up like deathgarden , this game almost didn't make it in the early stages alot of people did ditch the game you should have respect for the people who made it possible for you to play it , also it may have never made it to consoles without people grinding and supporting it
-
The perk does have drawback because it's a guessing game in so many places on which direction the killer is coming from, just because spine chill procs doesn't mean the killer is on you either if it's the game, midwich they could be downstairs chasing a survivor to your direction while you are upstairs it's irrelevant to blame a perk for your inability to capitalize in certain situations when it doesnt show your aura or do anything OP and if it's not a stealth killer you know if they're coming anyway because the heartbeat, but with all the undetectable options available spine chill is meta now and it's solely on the killers for forcing a playstyle that people are now adapting to

Legacy isn't special when 90% of it is hacked and most legit players lost it and never got it back.
I have mine and it's 100 percent legit not hacked , it is special because back then it took three damn seconds just to buy one thing from the bloodweb and I'm not even going to get into how much things cost and how long it took to earn it

I think BHVR should give players a way to unlock legacy skins. My idea is to make them unlockable for people who complete 100% of achievements and pay 1 million blood points. These are some of the coolest skins and its a shame they are only available for .001% of the dbd population
No way you guys don't even understand how bad the grind was when we had to get those I would be pissed if they just gave them out after all this time , It shows I was there from the start helping this game thrive and I like that about it, you see who the true originals are that way

Dude she's a bad spirit if she had a ebony Mori and DC LMAO come on now and she's a green rank? How can you say that's not bad ?

Sometimes tunneling can win you the game if you can start a slugfest afterwards and build on the pressure , but notice I'm saying "they come back" a good killer doesn't camp and will be chasing a different survivor after a hook get the down if they can quick enough or waste a few pallets and go back to hook to start slugging when notification procs because you have 3 survivors under pressure that way that aren't on gens , the guy on hook, the guy unhooking and the guy you're chasing before you go back , I'll intentionally down the guy off hook sometimes just for my infectious to proc and tell me where the rest of them are, I'm there to kill not have a sleepover...

I'm asking whether i should feel bad for looping a killer to the point they dc.
No you shouldn't just like she wouldn't have felt bad to immediately tunnel and one hook Mori if she had the opportunity, nobody should feel bad for anything they do in a match people take this game way too seriously and sometimes it's fun to just meme without being a try hard , me and my friends had a killer shack royal rumble with 4 head ons and nobody could leave shack except to go around the outside while being chased but you had to come back into shack, it was a bloodbath, ######### hilarious though and lasted alot longer than we thought it was going to with the killer even becoming a friend afterwards

I'd say this perk has provided me some of the most easy downs on M1 killers I have gotten while playing DBD against competent players. It is very hit or miss.
Maybe it is on cooldown, maybe where you hit the survivors isn't a favorable location, etc. But when it works, it really works. Absolutely effortless downs and it doesn't' matter if the survivor is terrible or amazing. And when you consider that the game can be ended off one hook and one slug done early in the match......
They're definitely not competent if you're getting them while using that perk, no offense but even in that upstairs room you argued earlier:
A) in no world does a good player run to a dead zone upstairs that the killer can mind game so easily like that one
B) any good player will take the hit out in the open just to get the boost to have that distance and make it somewhere else I can hold w after a hit and make it almost clean to the other side of the map before the killer catches up because you also lose bloodlust when you land a hit

Like i think that will be SUPER FUN be abblt to play with all perks more then 1 killer more than 4 survival
For example a game when its 2 survival vs 3 killers But the survival are abble to activate ALL PERKS
and this type of things
I dont think that will be any down side in do this
If they hadn't started giving killers their own chase music I might agree, but this game has so much trouble running as is I couldn't imagine trying to play on that mode I'd be willing to bet it would just crash over and over again

- For a good reason
- The two builds I described negate many of the downsides of hex perks. Indoor maps generally have well-hidden totems, and hag can defend her totems relatively well.
- That depends where you find them. At many generators, there will be no place they can get to in time. This is especially the case on Midwhich, which I think might be the best Blood Favor map.
- It doesn't need to.
The speed boost alone will get them out of range to safety, you're just training the bots to be good survivors and leave unsafe areas for safer tiles while preserving the pallets near generators a place where you arguably need them gone quick
-
Lmao a green rank killer trying to flex?

@Nobsyde said:
I'm a very avid Spine Chills user when I play survivor, together with Iron Will, but I gotta say I think a slight nerf could be a good idea.
The problem right now is that Spine Chills is a hard counter to certain killers and, even against all the other killers, it promotes play styles that make the game infuriating for killers: stealth and hold w (the latter luckily counterable by very high mobility killers, but still..).
It's not that much of a problem against solo survivor and/or a single spine chills user, but when there's a couple of them, or they are in comm, it starts to get a bit tiring - which is not to say it is OP, it's just not fun to go against.
I do like the proposal to make spine chills active only when crouched, but this would promote an even more stealthy play style - survivors won't even work on gens at that point, since they can't hold w anymore.
I'd like Spine Chills to be a perk able to reward players that don't shy away from the killers instead.
One possible solution could be to switch to a token system, for example:
For each 10 seconds you are in a chase, you gain a Token up to a maximum of 5.
Press the Active Ability Button while not running to consume 1 token and enable Spine Chill for 5 seconds.
While Spine Chill is enabled, you activate Spine Chill when the Killer is looking directly in your direction and standing within a range of 36 metres.
While Spine Chill is active, Skill Check trigger odds are increased by 10 % with success zones reduced by 10 %.
While Spine Chill is active, your Repair, Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Exit Gate Opening, and Chest Unlocking speeds are increased by 2/4/6 %.
In bold the only differences I made to the current description. Numbers are just placeholders, the concept is what matters.
EDIT: The "active ability button" may conflict with Diversion or other perks - still, pick a button that you can use :P
Personally I feel like spine chill is in a good place because it's the only perk that can counter stealth , if there were more options available perk wise to counter it we wouldn't be having this discussion about it but you're basically dedicating a slot in your build to have that heads up instead of something else thats considered a crutch perk, I just think the devs need to release another generic perk package ( perks like spine chill, plunderers, resilience are generic perks ) and throw in some small things that aren't really op that can help with gameplay , and the killers need new generic perks also it would be nice to see something like this get tossed in I'd even pay for it

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1646517#Comment_1646517
Premonition is much worse than spine chill. Spine chill tells you that the killer is close and coming to you. All premonition does is let you know what direction the killer is in, and it has a bs cool down too.
But they're complaining that spine chill says the killer is closer but premonition tells you the killer is close and hes over in that direction, sure it has a 30 second cool down but my point was it actually tells you where the stealth killer is and it's honestly hypocritical when these killers can run whispers on a stealth killer and basically have the killer version of spine chill and be stealth. There are so many more things that should be addressed before even worrying about a not so OP perk that is being ran due to the amount of undetectable options available to a killer , it's their own gameplay forcing this shift in meta
-
@arcnkd said:

On the contrary; if Spine Chill wasn't nerfed to make stealth useless against Survivors using it (which I 100% disagree with and do not believe stealth play needs a hard counter; just play more cautiously and watch your back better, imo) - I would instead make a Killer equivalent that is a direct counter to Survivor stealth with roughly the same power - essentially pointing out anyone "stealing" around you.
Did you forget whispers exist? Literally the killer equivalent of spine chill. It's hypocritical to want spine chill nerfed while killers have multiple aura reading add ons and perks that counter survivor stealth while survivors have only one perk they can slap on to counter it
-
@DBD78 said:
Just remove Spine Chills effect on Wraith, GF and crouching Pig. The other killers can handle themselves.
But why? That's ridiculous when that's literally why the perk was made was to counter stealth and it's the only option available in a perk, kinda like how whispers counters survivor stealth. I'm just saying that with all the undetectable effects people are seeing more spine chill because that's the only real counter they have to stealth killers or killers with undetectable
-
@xillucide said:
yeahhh no, spine chill isn't the meta. DS+Unbreakable+Sprint Burst+Adrenaline/Borrowed Time is still the meta. however spine chill is still a very good perk. I wouldn't nerf it at all, it does its job and it does it well. spine chill can easily be countered by just not looking at the person lol. if I could create another perk to counter stealth, I literally wouldn't because stealth is an ability both sides have, and one side has a direct counter to it, the other doesn't. spine chill is fine, stealth is fine, no other stealth-counter perk needs to be added atm.
I don't want to nerf it I'm saying with the amount of complaining it shows that it's the only true perk that offers a counterplay to stealth without requiring you to be in a already bad situation
-
@nea_isnt_a_killer said:
Make spine chill only activate while the player is crouched, so it's a sort of "immersed dork vs. immersed dork" type of dynamic. After all, what better way to counter someone trying to be stealthy than just attempting to out-stealth them?
But what perk would you create aside from spine chill that has a good counterplay for stealth killers ? I'm saying that it shouldn't be the only perk option for a survivor against stealth and at the moment it kinda is

Actually I´d trade DS for SC any day when I play Myers or Ghostface, I basically never get hit by it anyway.
I think we can agree to disagree on the guessing-aspect of it since our experiences seem to be vastly different in that regard.
I agree, it´s obviously an anti stealth tool. It does it´s job too good though imo.
Yep I guess that's where we have our differences but I also want to point out that spine chill is the one of the only real counters to stealth killers in this game that doesn't require you to be in a bad situation already to have use of the perk , and alot of maps are open and by the time you have spine chill you can already see them heading your way anyway , this won't be nerfed due to the amount of things that can make a killer undetectable now and also it's a counter to spirit and nurse not only stealth killers
-

You are right, I hate Object with a passion as it is the single most busted perk in the game when used by SWF.
And no, since premonition has somewhat adequate limitations whereas SC doesn´t.
How can you deny SC isn´t strong when very, very many players in red ranks run it? Do you think they are all trolling or deliberately handycapping themselves?
They are running it because it´s so good. For not-so-great survivors like me it´s a convenient crutch to never get snuck upon and always have ample time to make a stealthy escape.
I agree but it's not a crutch , would you rather have them run DS or something broken? That's what you're asking for by nerfing this perk , it's a information perk thats a guessing game but just says be aware basically , it should be welcomed when people don't abuse crutch perks is my point and it's strong against stealth because that's what it was made for if it were any other killer you would hear them coming a mile away anyway
-
@Grimmy_Bluues said:
Being Undetectable should at the very least, make Spine Chill have an extremely reduced range.
That's not to say it should even work when a killer is Undetectable, i'm just trying to find a middle ground.
But then why even run the perk? It's balanced because you're wasting a perk slot for the information rather than using it on a broken perk combo, so I guess you would all rather have someone run DS, OoO, Unbreakable etc.. when someone wants to use a perk for information rather than a crutch that carries them that should be welcomed not complained on

A not-so-strong perk that is run extremely often. This is why you see so many Killers running fire up, too.
You calling it pathetic that as Killer you don´t want to be forced to never look into the direction you´re going is baffling. As of bad play, I can deal with SC. My main complaint is that the counterplay is riddiculous.

It's one perk that makes obsolete the power of 4 killers. If you don't see any problem there, well...
If you guys are so hell-bent on nerfing spine chill shouldn't premonition go first? It gives more value by actually providing the direction the killer is in rather than telling you the killer is looking your way somewhere in a 36 meter range , both perks aren't strong and don't need a rework OoO is way stronger than both of those perks sure it hides the killer while stealthing but the information it provides is way better than both of those others put together

StEaLtH KiLleRs OP
Stealth killers aren't OP but it's sad some people are so bad at the game they want a already not so strong perk nerfed before the other real problems in this game it just shows some people are so selfish and can't own up to their mistakes they make and have to have a scapegoat to make themselves feel better , I don't run it all the time so I don't care if it's nerfed or not but it's laughable this is even a thread

Like it was hard to tell apart from maybe The Game or Hawkins. When I used SC, in over 2 years not a single Killer managed to get the jump on me, and I´m not exactly a great survivor. 99% of Killers can be avoided by stealthing away when it lights up, it´s just stupid.
It's nowhere near an OP perk and if someone wastes a slot for it they deserve to have the benefit otherwise what would be the point? I've played this game since day 1 and ive seen plenty of survivors get themselves killed by being too cautious with spine chill and run right into where the killer is , it's quite pathetic people want such a weak perk nerfed there's no excuse except poor killer gameplay when there's all kinds of other broken ######### to worry about

You're not listening at all. The evidence for that has NOTHING to do with spine chilled. But keep trying to make it about that. I'm talking about Survivors finishing matches with perk and item loadouts perfectly designed to counter what the killer is using, not like "OH EMMM GEEE THEY USED SPINE CHILLED AND I AM STEALTH ERMAGERD THEY MUST BE HACKKERZ!".
But I doubt you'll even read this you're most likely going to ignore any evidence because "Its impossible for people to hack video games!"
Jesus christ take a Ritalin this thread is about spine chill and I get what you're saying but just because the killer feels like they've been countered perfectly doesn't mean someone is hacking at all , I know it's possible to hack also I'm not dumb

Cover the killers character model with your own on the screen look up slightly higher than you used to and then click, it should work everytime it's a little awkward to get used to but once you do it's not that big of a deal the worst part is when you're close you have to aim way high up so in my recommendation distance is your friend you don't have to be really close to blind the killer flashlights have alot more range than people realize

After i look at them with spine chill theyll start looking around see me and run away. Its kinda like a handhold for something they should know by now.
Spine chill doesn't even tell you the direction they're coming from , you could literally run right into a stealth killer by choosing the wrong way don't blame a perk for your losses

Is that ever going to be looked into or are we all just accepting that dead hard is useless? Is this another "idk i guess that's just how dbd is now" just like we accepted with the weird flashlight angle adjustment thing?
I just wanna know if there's hope for dead hard or if I should just go ######### myself.
Don't get me wrong dead hard is a very good perk but it's way too overrated by some as the best exhaustion perk , I really believe that the best exhaustion perk is different for every person due to the playstyle certain choices may be better than others , my advice I would give is to go back through and play a few matches with each perk and see which one makes you feel good while using it , as long as you're happy and having fun that's all that matters

I'm not sure either, I'm just estimating.
How many blinds can you realistically get from a single flashlight, though?
When you stack a green battery and low amp filament you can get probably around 8-10 blinds if you don't mess up and aim correctly, but I mean if there's also street wise I'm not sure it could be a hell of alot though lol
-
Information perks are very underrated and are very useful even in a SWF because you can see something better than people telling you and you don't take the chance of them miscommunicating in a heated situation, kindred for example everyone will know by your behavior if you have BBQ and you don't have to say a word while giving them the information and showing them where everyone is and what they're doing

For 9k hrs in the game i would expected a different type of play style.
You play your way but watching someone get tunneled to death why you just sit on a gen is boring af and selfish.
Well if I don't have a true way to save them that's what I do, they don't belong in red ranks anyway if they can't stay up for at least a gen, if someone can stay up for a gen or two sure I'll take all the aggro I can when objectives are getting done but if gens aren't getting done everyone dies from being over alturism, if I'm in a swf I'll take aggro as well but I'm not dying for a random who goes down in ten seconds anyway because that person is just a liability more than anything
-
@BillyMain77 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1637892#Comment_1637892
Your right but not all killers are just gonna ignore you. Some killers will change targets or at least spread the dmg and maybe you taking that one hit and body blocking for a few seconds lets the survivor being tunneled break LOS and make it away and now the killer is forced to changed targets or spend time looking for ole buddy again.
You have to take aggro at some point. Just rushing gens and only taking aggro when the killer comes towards you is a pretty selfish way to play.
This is a TEAM based game where you work TOGETHER with other survivors to make it out.
Getting a unhook once or twice a game and doing a gen or 2 by yourself doesnt count as team work.
Small brain plays. This is the different between red ranks and green ranks.
Survivors who know how to recognize when to help out their team and when to sit on gens like real gods.
Dude Ive got 9000 hours in the game I'm not saying you're totally wrong because when I run a flashlight and I have a true way to stop them from focusing on them I will but when a killer tunnels and you have no way to save that survivor other than to take a hit it's way better to stay on gens so you don't have a slugfest because the difference between a red rank and a green rank killer is the green rank killer falls for the bait the red rank smacks you continues to tunnel the other guy and then starts slugging the injured survivors swarming around the bot who can't stay alive

Or you could do the big brain play and take aggro since obv the guy going down in 15 seconds into a chase would be better to the team doing gens that just dieing early on in the game.
Its about just rushing gen if your confident in your looping ability then go take aggro.
It literally helps no one if you just rush gens and let a team mate get tunneled out early on.
It helps no one if I'm chasing the killer who's tunneling a survivor who can't stay up and especially if another survivor thought the same way then that would be 3 survivors not doing ######### because one guy sucks on the team

The ironic part is that you should have to take agro because someone else sucks at the game... keeping more people alive to hold M1 while you're looping is pretty useful
Like I said I focus the gen, but I will go for unhooks and such but I'm not gonna stop gen progress to try and help someone who's already going down fast anyway , the big brain play is to rush gens and not have two survivors chasing the killer who's chasing another survivor just to get him off someone who can't stay up
-
Small brains can't stay up for a generator in this game with all the damn safety offered
-
I focus on gens unless the killer comes my way and I'll gladly take them , but it's not my fault if someone can't stay up in a chase long enough for a gen to get completed I shouldn't have to take aggro because someone else sucks at the game
