lag/stuttering in general has been a HUGE issue since the crossplay update hit. at the beginning of matches now, i always have to deal with some 2-3 second long freezeups that happen periodically but it stops as the game goes on. connection lag is much more common with console players as well, i never have that issue with pc users

But what perk would you create aside from spine chill that has a good counterplay for stealth killers ? I'm saying that it shouldn't be the only perk option for a survivor against stealth and at the moment it kinda is
Really don't know to be honest. The mechanics of the game don't really permit for anything much better or diverse than what spine chill is, I feel like, because the killer's tracking/hunting in this game is almost exclusively tied to "auras"(see:wallhacks). How do you really counter that in any way besides knowing when the killer is heading your way? The ways that killers can track survivors need to be much more dynamic and thought-out than just "do this thing and get wallhacks for x amount of seconds" in order to create more dynamic ways to go against it. The game's own limitations are the reason the perk is so widely used, tracking needs to be overhauled in order for stealth killers' efficiency and survivors' counter-ability to be more than what it is now
-
Make spine chill only activate while the player is crouched, so it's a sort of "immersed dork vs. immersed dork" type of dynamic. After all, what better way to counter someone trying to be stealthy than just attempting to out-stealth them?

dude crawling is slow. if they killer cant find me when they are the one that downed me then they're blind. seriously its not like you can get far on your belly. This post is about killers doing it deliberately.
nothing you just said changes my point, if you crawl yourself somewhere the killer can't find you, it's your fault, not the game's fault
-
Maybe don't crawl off into a corner where the killer can't find you if you didn't want to spend 2 minutes on the ground. You kind of did that to yourself, nobody forced you to hide. The game is already lost. What was your plan?
-
Some killers are practically guaranteed 0k-1k without noed unless you're a god at mindgaming. Moris show up too often in bloodweb though.
-
I vote for more secret offerings. It's not a "secret" when the only time someone uses a "secret" offering is when it's a mori. Everyone knows
-
that's kind of the idea. he has a meme name and the only posts are absurd over-the-top newbie suggestions. checks out as bait if you ask me
-
the reward is really just a small bit of extra bloodpoints, that's about it, without being a counter to ruin anymore it's pointless to bring now
-
it's just because you're playing nea lmao. killer mains lose their minds completely at the sight of nea and i don't get it. you'll get tunneled and proxied constantly, just part of playing her i guess.
-
Holy moly please format your post so it's more readable. I can totally agree that ebony moris appear way too often in the bloodweb and thus are abused by salty killers who have a vendetta against specific players or survivors.
However I can't really understand how you think killers have "too many abilities" and that it's unfair for them in any way. 7 second long stun on DS? Forreal? Have you seen how unfun it can be to play killer when people abuse DS, adrenaline, medkits and toolboxes, etc. and how fast the game can fly by? Do you know JUST how fast a game can be won by a SWF team, and how often that happens?
Killers have the resources they have so that they can actually do what they're intended to do, which is kill survivors. Offerings that let you auto complete gens??? If we change the game how you want it to be played, then there would be no killer at all and we'd just be running around playing tag with each other, and gens would complete themselves without requiring any survivor interaction. If you're so opposed to the killer being able to kill why not just go play The Sims?
-
Why is this in 'feedback and suggestions'
-
Thing about that is that generally when running the perk you won't have all 4 tokens at your disposal unless you are playing altruism/boldness that game. If you are dedicating to gens then you usually won't ever have more than 2 tokens, and if someone were to exploit it to gen rush they would have to trade off by wasting generator time following the killer around, and putting themselves at risk of getting in a chase. I think the potential for exploit with 4% increase can only be capitalized on with a well coordinated SWF.
-
It used to be that Stake Out was a must have in my loadout as insurance against old Ruin, but since Ruin doesn't really do anything now, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it buffed a little. An additional 2% increase does not seem unreasonable to me.
-
I can see your point that other factors besides skill can affect the DS but really the same can be said for everything else in the game. Like, with the disconnect penalties, sometimes you may get DCed by the game or have an internet problem but that still doesn't mean the penalties aren't necessary. I feel the same about the skillchecks. The skillchecks are necessary to force players to learn how to hit them, especially since now ruin is nonexistent and there are few other things in the game that force you to actually learn with skill checks rather than just hold M1 to win. For how much DS can do to save your skin and give you a second chance it's a balancing measure to make sure that it's not a total get out of jail free card. Even with this being said the skill checks are still relatively easy to hit. Also lag spike does not affect skillchecks as they are clientside, lag will never be the reason you miss one.
-
if anything needs the volume reduced, it's how ear-piercingly loud most of the female survivors scream when they get hooked, swear i'm gonna blow my eardrum one day
-
think this is the wrong section for this thread
-
People gen rush regardless of whether the killer is camping. I find a really hard time sympathizing with your point of view because at this point it's starting to sound like you are just brand new to the game.
-
The real problem are the altruism parasites who will carelessly unhook you right in front of the killer's face, or unhook you and try to force you into a heal when it's obvious that the killer is walking straight back to the hook. Those same people will throw the game by wasting several minutes self-caring in a corner of the map, hiding instead of trying to finish the last gen, taking turns unhooking each other until they die and working on no generators the entire game, etc. Ranking system needs to be better because I am 100% convinced that these people did not earn their ranks, and were just boosted by their friends. I shouldn't have to still be putting up with this at red ranks.
-
Something you need to understand is that you aren't supposed to be able to be guaranteed to get away from the hook even if you get tunneled. That's the point of the game. It's called KILLER for a reason, you are supposed to be at risk at all times when around the killer. If the devs really took things the direction you're wanting then this game would rapidly die because nobody would want to play killer anymore. Survivors already have SO MUCH power and so many resources at their disposal to absolutely humiliate the killer in ways that should never have been possible in a game like this. Survivor could not possibly be more easy than it is now and it's sad to see that people still want it even more spoonfed.

@nea_isnt_a_killer you're using a bugged add-on as a reason for an entire overhaul?
He can make strong routes and loops weak by literally hindering speed/deterring them from being played in the first place. He can also mindgame LOS blocked loops with his audio. He can shut down weak loops very quickly, that guarentees him hits far quicker than any other basic attack killer would do in that loop. He's fine as he is
I used to think exactly what you're saying is true, but go and ACTUALLY play him against survivors who know how the game works. They will drop the pallet early and force you to follow them to the next loop. You can either spend the next minute and a half chasing this person while 3 gens get completed, or hopelessly patrol the gens, where they get done anyway, and end the game with 0k. Seriously, go and play him for a while and tell me he's perfectly fine.
@Bludge23 said:
Personally I think he needs an actual rework than a few buffs but I feel like they just don't care about him
I'm pretty sure he's been mostly forgotten since nobody plays him for how unplayable he is. And apparently people here don't think there's ANYTHING wrong with him. Feels like money wasted tbqh

@Tunnel_Me_Please that's not how add-ons are designed. They have to serve a function, that idea would be useless since it would obscure your own vision/LOS nor hinder or deter possible routing taken by the survivor.
@nea_isnt_a_killer you want to see a killer that can hinder survivor's movement and anti-route be faster than 4.6? That's mad. And to answer your initial post, you're misinformed. Clown is fine at what he does. And he is viable at Red ranks, every killer is. Just learn how to play him efficiently and his unique techs too. I've posted responses on so many 'Buff Clown' posts. It's actually ridiculous at this point how many people struggle with him.
Show me one thing that Clown can do that literally any other killer can't do better. Go on, I'll wait.
-
Oh here's a cool thing too. I just played a game with clown and the Redhead's Pinky Finger addon which is SUPPOSED to cause the exposed effect DOES NOT WORK. So the ONLY addon this idiot has that makes him usable is gutted from him. How can anybody possibly say this doesn't need a rework???
-
@Trollthem said:
If we follow all your points , we should rework killer that is add on reliant . So we should rework Wraith , we should rework trapper, we should rework Hillbilly.
Clown is fine if you play him correctly
Clown is not bad because he is addon reliant. Clown is bad because his power is weak, he is slow, he has zero map pressure, and he is M1 reliant. His addons help ease the pain of playing as him, but it does not fix his core issues. There is a reason clown is regarded as the worst killer amongst killer mains, and "just play him correctly" is a horrible way to excuse such a barebones killer.
-
i get the idea that they may not want to add perks that encourage sabotaging other survivors' game
-
I honestly don't mind his addons very much, I find that the better ones can give enough of an upper hand to be worth taking. I just want to at least see clown's movement speed increased, or give him some sort of tracking ability, i don't know.
