  • Don't you mean the decaying, rotten skeletal remains that used to be a horse? That horse died from blunt force trauma ages ago my friend

  • Ya know thinking on it some more the devs ought to be damn ashamed of themselves making a event for the first time where you can't earn the cosmetics and have to buy them in the midst of a pandemic with all the people who lost jobs or have to stay home for whatever reason right now, me myself I'm an essential worker so it doesn't effect me but thinking about everyone suffering and then BHVR just trying to drain people dry on what's supposed to be an event is absolutely disgusting with everything going on

  • This is honestly getting ridiculous, mobile has more events than the actual game I just got a notification that mobile was having a bloodhunt right now

  • Run Infectious fright on her , survivors will hate you but it feels good to make them play worm simulator with 4-5 gens still up

  • There you have it kids this is why we don't drink and type

  • It's not broken because you're counting on the killer hitting the person who just got up instead of the person using for the people , it solely depends on whether the killer falls for it

  • @OBX said:

Have to hit them where it hurts: new players. That won’t be accomplished on these forums as most new players likely don’t come here. Also this is bhvr forums so they can shut these posts down as they like.

New players? Lmao with the way this game has been running recently I think anyone who did just buy this game is returning it or if they bought it digitally they're flaming the person who told them it was a good game and uninstalling it

I tried the game on ps4 today after reading about all the problems ( pc main) and Holy ######### these people aren't kidding at all, if that was the only way I had to play I would be losing my mind on the devs right now and I'm surprised the ps4 community has handled it so well , hats off to you console guys

No, that´s just wrong. In the last dev stream it was addressed. In terms of balance and perk changes BHVR doesn´t need approval from anyone. All they do is inform the license holders about changes to their respective characters as a form of courtesy. They can do whatever they want with perks/powers if deemed neccessary.

The license holders can deny it if they don't like the way their character is though, sure most of the time something like that is nothing but if they ever didn't like a change or felt like it misrepresents the character in question they definitely could make them change it

Idk if thats true, DS got changed 3 times in the past

They have to get approval from the license holders everytime they make any sort of change to a licensed character , so there's also that

DbD & BHVR who weights around 22 millions has a whole dev team who can take like two weeks to fix a single bug, (hill one for example).

Phasmophobia has patch notes almost daily and there a single indie guy on it.

    Now make your assumptions.

I don't see how this was meant for me but ok? , The devs use the bugs for a reason to communicate is what I'm saying , after four years literally any other development team could get running and pressing an action button right which is essentially all you do in this game , hell can't even open the hatch on some maps because that's bugged too, I just don't understand how in four years there could be this many problems with one game, you know good and well if there was a problem with the cosmetic store it would've been fixed yesterday

  • I know bamboozle is bugged right now , went the entire match and couldn't see it but could hear it as a survivor and it almost got me killed thinking a window was open that in fact was not .

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I'm sorry, but are you seriously trying to defend the devs over the current train wreck the game is becoming? I respect your opinion, I do, but please stop white knighting for them. This game has been out for 4 years. If it was the first few months, and the devs were fairly new at developing the game, then I'd give them a pass for the issues. But no. It's 4 years. If they seriously can't code a single patch to not break everything in the game at this point, theres something seriously wrong. There's supposed to be a QA department, yet they must be sleeping during work hours because the current state of the game shows they tested little. PS4 currently has the most broken FPS right now. Then side this along with the fact sounds are yet again, broken, the game loads in with a killer standing in a weird broken pose. The 'event' is basically another day where we have to spend money. So, yes, mistakes can be made, but 4 years worth? No. I don't think so.

It's because if they got rid of the bugs they would have nothing to talk to the community about and they use that as a way of staying in touch with the community by pretending they care about those type of things when in reality they care about the millions they make off of cosmetics, you can bet your ass if the cosmetic store had a bug that ######### would be fixed real quick!

  • Well he has a add on that allows you to with a pretty big requirement though

  • Summer BBQ was easily my favorite, this event is not only lacking somewhat but it also isn't generating alot of the new items or offerings in bloodwebs , I have everyone maxed out I've probably spent around 600,000 bloodpoints and only got 4 petals about 6 serum add ons for the medkit , one Halloween medkit and one Halloween flashlight, 2 broken bulbs..... For that much in bloodpoints I would've expected more from an event

  • Behaviour will never change unless people actually stop playing the game or stop buying cosmetics and their numbers start to show a decrease , only then will they truly listen to the community and I have a feeling after this event and complaints about optimization from console users that downward trend will come sooner than later

Leaving the fact that they were going down on purpose and that noone wanted to do gens, this is a good example of unbalance between solo and swf,

If I use this build in solo I will never have this result, that's why I don't play with randoms and why I dodge every swf of 3-4ppl

We found a better build than dh ds bt unb apparently

Yea but if they choose to play this way they're all gonna end up dead lol builds like this are why the kill rates are so high because friends will just find ridiculous stuff to try that even if it gets them killed they want to pull it off for the laughs

  • Yes there is , there's one to escape using all aces teachables

You are misreading the MODs post. It's taking statistics from challenges that ONLY require kills on the killer side or escapes on the survivor side to complete the challenge. These games would have players MORE serious about escaping or killing since that's what the challenge requires.

    These are try-hard games.

Ok so if you're running adept ace for the challenge you're calling that try hard? Or what if while you're running ace Im doing a hag challenge to kill all survivors so I bring an ebony Mori , mint rag and make your choice on her, you're going to sit there and try to keep a straight face telling me the ace is try harding ? Or that his normal build is always adept ace? There are so many challenges that force survivors to play different there's no way it can be taken seriously

  • So basically those statistics just show that people die more often when they try to do challenges because it isn't their playstyle, I expect these type of numbers when you're taking stats on everyone playing a different way and using different perks than they're accustomed to, I'm more interested to see the numbers without challenges so that way we have a better understanding of where the K/D ratio really is in a standard game

  • If someone searched a chest or broke a totem Ive been seeing it cause a frame drop and kill other survivors on the hook recently but I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned already

  • One of my favorite perks too, it's a shame

  • If they're all running balanced landing that's probably why they brought it , that map has so many broken loops if you know how to run them right and sometimes the fences spawn so long in areas that you can run them at fences even with no windows or pallets for a few loops before you hit a house window or pallet nearby and go right back to the fence , literally had a four gen run at the blue house window and a fence right outside without using a single pallet or balanced landing today because another survivor brought a strode key

  • Watch this man get bullied all day tomorrow EZ

  • @timbologna said:

Keys are? Had a 3 and 4 escape today with a gen left

You didn't have 4 escape with a gen left that's impossible because that hatch doesn't spawn unless all the gens are done with everyone alive in which case you already lost anyway, for a key to equal a Mori I would be allowed to pop the hatch after completing one objective just like the killer, DC in any case is frowned upon

  • If you're healthy and about to take a hit , just take the hit and either leave shack or loop it from there with the speed boost but don't throw the pallet unless you're about to go down , if a couple gens haven't been done it can hurt for the pallet to be gone because the shack is such a strong loop

  • People aren't always being a try hard sometimes survivors just meme it doesn't take that into account and DC probably count as a death in those scenarios

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Someone watched a certain video from somebody that's obviously playing against newer killers

It works on good killers too because they didn't expect it before with there being no timing but now that they've seen it if you have a map and vault a window someone is gonna double check now , so probably from here on out that only works on newbies who aren't aware but it was a really strong tech

  • I was talking about that tech months ago here on the forums and nobody cared lol

Legion is just doing the only thing they can do from all the things that is left, to win the game.

Would bhvr not so obsessed with the idea that the Legion had to be a mending killer, then there would have been other possibilities.

Also, the idea doesn't really fit to them imo. That would be something for some weird new doctor, or nurse killer imo. Or maybe some creature that "prepears" its victims via wounds to be a later hosts for its eggs, or something like that.

It was a good idea as long as it was just a "side effect", but as dominating effect... Feels for me not right.

Yes that was my point is it's unfun for both sides when the situation does indeed arise in a match , legion needs a rework but not a nerf just something that slightly altered how his power works to prevent 20 minute mending simulator, and to make it fun for the legion player and the survivors both

While I know a lot of people may not care I still want to put out my feelings and opinions on something. After months of stressful and boring gameplay I am officially leaving the game and possibly the forums until some change happens, if it ever does. On the killer side I find games too stressful to try and even play for fun I have to sweat constantly a lot. On survivor I find it too boring with it being a loading screen simulator. If they fix the major issues at some point I will possibly come back, but with how the developers seem to work I don’t see that happening. So after two years this is my goodbye to all of y’all and may things get better for those that remain to play before it becomes too late. Goodbye 🥺🥺

You'll be back... They always find their way back home.

After playing through all the BS this game had when it first started I think I'm in for the long haul

How do you know it was a console player? Microsoft store players have the global icon as well.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Every killers gonna have haters. I see a lot of people here talking about long trials like literally every killer cannot 3-gen-no-chase. My trials agaisnt Legion tend to be pretty short, even agaisnt Forever Legion. It's just how it goes - either the killer gets a rapid snowball thanks to everyone being instadownable or they don't get any pressure at all and gens fly by.

It probably doesn't help that a lot of people think there's pressure to mend yourself. The timer takes ages to run out and you can pause it by running - half of my legion trials involve me unhooking, finishing gens, and sometimes healing others, all while bleeding out. It's so nonthreatening for "you're literally bleeding to death."

Unless that gen is 95 percent there's no way you're completing it without mending , and most legions will employ a three gen strat if a couple pop early and frenzy anyone who goes near the gens just so they have to mend , I'm not saying legion is OP but he's very annoying when it gets to a situation where he's not committing to chases and just dragging the game out , I've had fast games against legion don't get me wrong but it's not too common once they realize they don't have enough time they will just attempt to stall by doing what I stated above and it's just more aggravating from the stalemate scenario

  • The bad thing is it's just as boring to play as legion as it is to play against him, it's constant mending and if he picks three gens and decides to guard them from the beginning, good luck with your thirty minute m1 simulator you just loaded into

The stalemate his power causes is no fun for either side

Can we as the community agree that we should stop having 4Man Bullying Sweat Squads like these?

Like okay I 4Ked them but I had sweat super hard using my Main Killer Blight and had a generally unfun time with 3 OoO and a ton of second chances while Tbagging at every pallet.

Like I'm generally concerned for newer or lower ranks Killers who would be inevitably matched against these guys. With a matchmaking system on the Horizon, I would always face SWFs like these? No, Thank you.

Quit crying you got a 4k , imagine complaining with a high mobility killer that nobody survived to , while running the new meta, and then calling the survivors the sweaty ones

How do you know how much the game makes? Also, how much do licenses cost exactly? You seem to be quite versed on the subject.

Well considering the game in 2017 alone made 202 million SEK which translates to around 25 million and some change US dollars before they even had a real cosmetic store I would say that number is alot higher with the growth rate of the game plus every new skin being 10 dollars a pop, new DLCs , and also new players coming to the game and new platforms etc.. it's not hard to imagine that this game could be averaging at least double that with the rate the game has been growing over the last 3 years and sure they have to pay their employees along with that but even in this time they've grown so much as a company and added employees so they obviously aren't strapped for cash at the time being and even covid probably helped more than hurt with people being home playing the game more

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1683833#Comment_1683833

Yeah. but I regularly see people that seem oblivious to the fact that licenses have to be paid for.

This game makes enough money off of cosmetic purchases alone to handle costs like that not even counting the DLC that cost 8 dollars a pop , if anything the amount of people buying the new content when it drops is enough, if they put someone as iconic as sidney in the game it would immediately sell it's a no brainer , personally I would like to see pinhead in the game as the next licensed killer but saying that licensing costs too much money when they're dropping 10 dollar skins like it's nothing , if only 100,000 people bought a 10 dollar skin when it dropped that's still a million dollars they've gained for a skin that arguably isn't even worth the 10 dollars you paid for it

  • @megswifey said:

Thank you for being considerate even in a competitive game. It means the world to me when I'm doing poorly as killer and have a player stare at me as they get taken by the EGC, or when killers who, even when they lose, still say 'gg' or something nice like that. We don't always have to play fair, and I think everyone falls into that mentality of 'well they can't win if we abuse this,' but whatever, it's a game lol. It's just super cool to meet players that respect each other even when things aren't going well for them. Sorry if this post is dumb, I just wanted to get this off my chest haha :)!

It's better to just spell out good game and add a "well played" to the end of it , GG can also be taken as Git Gud and if someone is salty enough they will try to say that's what you're implying, I just started spelling it out after that because I'm on keyboard anyway and there's no way to misinterpret that unless they played so bad they think I'm being a smart ass

  • @Yords said:

It is because the matchmaking sucks in actually putting survivors with people at their skill level. There could be a really in depth ranking system but would require BVHR to actually do something big. For now, just run kindred every game honestly.

This right here, you almost have to have kindred when running with randoms or they either won't get you or hide the whole match , it's like kindred shows everyone what you're doing and puts you in a position where if you're not helping everyone is gonna know you're useless so they feel pressured to do something productive , it's became one of my favorite perks just because I don't always play swf

  • @redsopine00 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1682917#Comment_1682917

Hence idea for a counter offering making them harder to trigger to use or in the Cyprus case allowing a chance to escape the others just mean if you wanna use them you have to put the effort in

Yes I was just pointing out that at the moment that is the only way to counter one, I just think they need to get rid of the one hook Moris because anytime a killer runs this they immediately tunnel the first person hooked and take them out of the match and the only defense is "DoNt gEt CaUgHT" which is ridiculous because if they play a killer with map pressure they don't even have to camp and can zip immediately back to down the guy fresh off the hook

  • @redsopine00 said:

it's a simple thing but there's already 3 tiers of Mori so why not make 3 tiers of counters like yellow counter would negate cypress Mori if tried to be used it would just let you get up and have limited protection for a few seconds so you can run a green counters the ivory so instead of one hook it have to be 2 hooks on same person to kill or everyone must be hooked once to use it and red counters the ebony where everyone must be hooked 2 times before they can be killed

The only real way to counter a Mori at the moment is to hop in a locker and let someone flashlight save you when they grab you out

  • @batax90 said:

Camping is fine you have perk like BT DS and DH to escape the killer when you get unhook and all those perk are commun in the survivor build

And yet killers are always on here wanting those nerfed and dogging survivors for having these perks but if a survivor complains about camping they're told to run those, so which is it ? Are these people bad for running them? Or do so many killers play such a ######### way that the game needs these perks? I think I'm gonna go with the second one , camping isn't fun for either side though it is a legit strategy in some scenarios but people who are camping from the get go with no real reason to do so are a problem in this game

  • The thing is the public matches can replicate that , if survivors spread out on gens and nobody does a gen together then they will have the match over in a matter of minutes, this is why you see so many slugging killers in high ranks because that's the only true tactic a killer has to stop the tourney style survivor from gen rushing them to oblivion

  • Give Ace a ghostbusters outfit with a little vaccum that makes a noise , I mean he already looks like Bill Murray so why not? Lol

  • @Warcrafter4 said:

Lets also add that the moment anyone brings up changes that would change the stale survivor meta would be harassed by the same survivors complaining the game is stale.

Also the same survivors complain about seeing the same killers every game also complain about less common killers until they are nerfed and are seen even less making their own issue far worse(You can see this currently with Deathslinger an uncommon average/below average killer).

Yea because the people are offering survivor nerfs as a form of meta change which is utter bullshit , if someone offered killer perk nerfs as a form of meta change they would be told to go ######### themselves by everyone on these forums, I've got 9000 hours in this game and probably more hours in killer than survivor to be truthful because I'm old school and didn't do the whole discord thing for voice chat until like 2 years into the game and even I'll say the meta is stale and survivors need new perks that are just as good as the meta now so that way people have a reason to switch up, me personally I'll play with no perks it doesn't bother me but that doesn't make the game fun for other people and you need other people to play the game

  • @azame said:

After playing this game for a long time. I think it's time to take my second break. I'm burnt out again. The game is just so stale for survivors currently. I play the game look at the main menu and get off. I get into a game and im instantly bored.

I get bad map rng or it's some killer that I dont enjoy facing. I never see billy anymore. I have seen alot of Pyramid Heads recently and it just is not fun. Still getting hit through windows. I'm glad the devs are working on it but it's taking so long to finally fix bad hits. The meta is stale because there isnt many good survivor perks.

The game is also just so buggy. The devs are so amatuer they can't even consistently have bug fixes nor did they fix the spaghetti code before it got bad.

I ended up deleting dbd ill be back at some point. I might look at the forums from time to time but maybe not.

The meta feels stale because it's never really changed for survivor

  • @H3xB0rr0w3dT1m3 said:

it would be a massive nerf to survivors and would change the game completely. It would also be a major indirect buff to stealth killers and make indoor maps worse for survivors

But imagine the massive nerf killers would have to get in order to balance that, it would be a bad deal all around unless they added a VR story mode where they could kinda control the situation

If the game was in first person for survivor and you were on a gen a stealth killer could walk up to you for a grab. You wouldn't be able to turn around and look for them and you wouldn't hear a heartbeat because of stealth.

That's why I said they would be overwhelming , you wouldn't have anyway to counter it

  • @OllieHellhunter said:

but the hud and perks are already in your FOV, I dont get this point?

Yes but you also have third person perspective, if you left in on the FIRST person it would block view when you're looking back and forth on a generator unlike third person where you can see alot further out so you don't really have them in the way

  • @GoodLookinCookin said:

Of course the game would have to be balanced for survivor to be first person, but imo horror games aren't as scary if you are third person.

The only way I would want first person is if the game had VR support, other than that it would be ridiculous to have first person because stealth killers would be way too overwhelming and having the HUD and perks in your FOV would be an aggravation I would probably stop playing at that point
