If they use Billy or Nurse and aren't inexperienced with those 2 characters then yes.
-
Look here's the thing...
The devs insist survivors are dying, despite killers moaning that the game is too hard. The stats show that the game is actually in the killers favour right now. They're going to buff survivors eventually and I can already sense the salt on these forums when that happens.
However we've all seen those games where they wouldn't be a single kill if it wasn't for NOED. If NOED was removed and the stats swung back in the survivors favour then killers could have these buffs they keep asking for.
It's in the killers best interests to not have so much revolve around this one perk.
-
@Eveline I forgot how much green ranks blow. Its harder to pip too ironically because there is less action. At red ranks every game was hectic snd full of unhooks and chases.
@HavelmomDaS1 Glad to see someone gets it. Killers moan about swf but veto any QOL upgrades to solo survivors. They just don't get that they can't have it both ways.

Noed can be negated before it triggers, if survivors refuse to counter it then it's on them.
Yeah, sometimes the killer is good at keeping the map pressure and you are forced to do gens instead of totems, so what?
Pretty much the entire community has been salty about DS and NOED for years now. The entire game can come down to a battle between those 2 perks sometimes it's ridiculous.
Ok I'll do totems and swf then. Oh wait no we cant get a game then because killers lobby dodge knowing their precious totems will be gone!
Is it too much to [BAD WORD] ask for an indication of how many totems are actually cleansed? So that when im running around looking for them I know if im wasting my time or not?
Just because part of the community complain about something doesnt mean they are right. Actually most of them are people who refuse to adapt and instead want the game to be changed according to their will.
Yeah, sometimes the killer is good at keeping the map pressure and you are forced to do gens instead of totems, so what?
Great game balance idea. You should apply for a job on the team. -
@TragicSolitude
Same here. Do 4, can't see the last, assume that surely the other 3 survivors have managed to do 1 totem between them....but nope.
I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall here. Let me explain...
NOED is harsh on solo survivors but it means nothing to 3/4 man SWF.
Want an indication of when a dull totem is cleansed? - killers won't have it.
Want some form of Kindred as a baseline ability? - killers won't have it
Yet they insist SWF is unfair and they want it removed, yet won't allow anything to make solo survivor more enjoyable.
How about you agree to give little quality of life upgrades for solo survivors so that swf crews can hop on solo and feel they aren't at a disadvantage and might play more solo games?
Killer mains just want everything swung in their favour. -
Another issue with it. Go against a good Billy or Nurse whizzing around the map hook after hook, if you play well and get the gens done you can still get boned by NOED.Eveline said:There is one issue tho. Some games are hard that people just try to survive and can't focus on totems at all. Then after all hard work noed pops and people go down instantly. Yet killers cry survivors need more objectives just because some SWF stomped them. -

If I've cleansed 4 totems, do I assume that surely 1 of the othrr 3 survivors has done the last? Or do I keep on looking? Who knows!
Also 1 survivor off gens for a few minutes just to counter 1 perk. Seems balanced...
I'll repeat it again, NOED and DS can affect the entire outcome of a game. 1 perk alone on each sife should not be able to do that. -

You can't nerf NOED. You can never nerf NOED. The devs use NOED as a band-aid to balance the game, also every killer main would go ballistic if you ever touched their precious NOED.

I don't mind Legion when he's sharing out the pain between survivors.
Just had one now though who only chased one at a time and used Noed on top. Lets just say it was a harsh reminder that this is the design team that thought Decisive Strike was a good idea. -
That's the point. They want you to play that way yet they also think it's ok to all run Adrenaline and the killer can't run NOED.DocOctober said:@The_Crusader said:
Besides if you try to 2 hook everyone and go for a different survior each time as survivors want you'll often end up with multiple survivors left at the end. That should be obvious. If by the time there are only 1-2 Generators left to complete and all 4 Survivors are still in the game, it doesn't matter whether they just 1 or 3 Hooks left, their manpower at that point is so strong that it will be nigh impossible to win the game at that point unless they really screw up badly. All it needs is one good looper left and the other 3 working on the last Gen or two and it's ggez.
Those things can't be combined. -
Very well said.Acromio said:@Vietfox said:
Every [BAD WORD] time survivors find a way to work around new changes people come over and complain about how they managed to adapt to those changes. No, it's actually the other way around.
@arecbalrin said:Killers did adapt; survivors simply demanded nerfs every time we did. Every time, they got exactly what they asked for.
Survivors started abusing pallets to grief and farm rather than escape chases, killers complained, got told to 'just adapt' and we did. The devs then buffed pallets to make them foolproof so our adaptation to them no longer worked, because survivors complained about killers being able to adapt to this.
Survivors broke all the hooks, making it impossible for a killer to win if the basement was in a corner of the map. Survivors said 'just adapt', so we did. The devs then gave survivors buffs and killers nerfs to stop slugging at the end of the match where survivors die on the floor because of a situation they created. Eventually we got the regenerating hooks, almost a year after they were needed.
Survivors swarmed hooks for rescues, whilst accusing killers of 'camping' when we never had a chance to even leave the damn thing and as no survivors were doing gens, had no reason to. 'Just adapt' they said again, so we combined the perks Unrelenting and Save The Best For Last to speed-up melee cooldown and prevent hook-swarms. The survivors screamed so much about this, how dare we prevent them from getting away with constant in-game trolling, farming and abusiveness, the devs over-nerfed both perks beyond what survivors even asked for. No explanation was ever given for why the devs made the changes they did here.
Even survivors thought what they did was too much, but shrugged their shoulders and said 'good killer will just adapt' and we did: seeing as survivors were refusing to do gens anyway and always swarming the hook, we blocked the space for unhooking with 'face-camping'. They went ballistic; how dare killers keep adapting after we dismiss their complaints every time by telling them to J U S T A D A P T !
The devs buffed them: Trapper had the ability to put traps under hooks taken away(and this was disingenously listed as a bug-fix) and survivors are now able to unhook from multiple angles.
When is it survivors turn to 'just adapt'? Because it seems to me that whenever they encounter the slightest resistance in-game, their meta is to demand changes from the devs and almost the absolute majority of the time, they get what they ask for.
The ptb self-care which the devs insist they want to bring back despite the negativd reaction is proof of this.
After the healing nerf and most killers taking sloppy, as survivor I...
- Used Pharmacy, Botany and Bond (good self-heal speed, item effiency, and heal others faster)
Then after ending up with 30 green medkits in my inventory I...
- Took a green med kit, self-care and We'll make it (self-care for item effiency, we'll make it for lightning fast heals)
And after using that for a while I now take...
- self-care and botany (heal myself in 21 seconds, faster than the old self-care, and I heal others 33% faster too)
All of this is adapting to healing nerfs and killers running sloppy to slow down healing.
However some survivors just cry and cry for self-care to be the only perk they need again just like in the old days where you get unlimted self-heals and at a good speed. With the ptb it seems the devs wanted to cater to them rather than forcing them to adapt. -

The killer at that point has 20 seconds before the gates are opened in which to catch up to, outplay and then down the survivor. Really shafts lower tier killers if they don't have NOED.
That's why everyone says if NOED went Adrenaline would need to go too.
I don't have any single problem with noed either, they both can stay.

Cosmetics for licensed killers are hard because the IP holders are protective of their property.
However when it comes to running them into the ground with rehashed quick cash-grab sequels, then it's ok.

It was good. A lot of survivors heal each other now whereas before everyone just ran away and went to self-care. It feels more like a teamgame now and there is more interactions between survivors.
That's why the ptb self-care was so bad. Rather than interacting with survivors, generators and killer, you were only interacting with generators and killer.
SWF rushing gens with Adrenaline is just an SWF issue and the unholy trio of perks issue (DS/NOED/Adrenaline). -
I'm pretty sure I reported the getting stuck in a tree bug on here before the October update.
Record it/screenshot and report it in the bug section. The more people do it the more of a priority it will become.
Not sure how many models of trees the game has if its more than 1 or what but it's the trees on sheltered woods and Springwood. -
I can't think of a reason not to.
What do we have?
Coulrophobia
Overwhelming Prescence
Unnerving prescence
Is that all of them? You never really see any of those perks, with Unnerving only being seen on rare occasions with a meme doctor build or low rank trappers who don't have anything else. It would give them extra viability.
If someone wanted to combine distressing them them, well distressing puts the killer at a disadvantage anyway giving survivors more time to stealth so it balances out. -
Yeah I've thought about this before. It would help shake up the meta.
Right now Rank 1 is like..
P3 Claudette: Sprint burst, dead hard, self-care, decisive strike, urban evasion, adrenaline, borrowed time
Hillbilly: Enduring, spirit fury, Ruin, noed, BBQ, Bamboozle
It would be nice to see the lesser perks get more use. Although personally I think it may hurt killers more than survivors, unless they got more perk points to spend.
-
I dunno man, Rancor still has that effect on me.
I don't even use any obsession perks but the game just loves to pick me. -
Yeah it sucks when they d/c nust because they went down. However sometimes they DC because they get farmed, or because there's a Wraith just standing next to the hook waiting for the tunnel. Can't say I blame them for that. It would be nice if we had a solution for all of this.Kim said:I see where some people come from because, we all have stuff to do or something happenes and we gotta go. I don't get how they changed Tinkerer so radically, from an add-on perk to a gen perk.....yet can't adjust a certain other perk because no matter what it "needs to result in the survivor getting off the killers shoulder".
On the topic of Tinkerer maybe a change would be nice. Right now it's good on Billy and I see people use it on Nurse but most other killers just don't have the speed to take advantage of it. -
I hate the idea of DS but that sounds much better than what we have now. Although sometimes surviors rush unhooks, it also sucks when killers tunnel.Peanits said:@TheHourMan said:
My only conclusion is that there is no way to fix DS without making it unbalanced in some other aspect. I think the best solution is to just leave it as is and add a couple more counters to it over time.Edit: Actually making it so the killer still has collision when DS stuns them would be nice. That way you could at least block a doorway or something.
I think it's salvageable. The issue I see with it is that there's not really any condition to using it. Even if you're not the obsession as long as you make sure you don't go down directly under a hook you'll have enough time to use it. If it was conditional, as in it only works once you do something else, it would allow some counterplay and it would feel a lot more fair.
I threw out a suggestion a while back that would probably fix that. By default, the perk is not active. Upon being unhooked, the perk activates for 30/60/90 seconds. While the perk is active, upon being picked up, you get the skill check as you normally would and wiggle out if you succeed. Hit or miss, it gets disabled for the rest of the match.
This would make it so it's not just an easy chase extender that halts the killer's momentum and instead turns it into an "anti-tunneling" perk. You could completely avoid it by going for the unhooker or by slugging the first survivor until the timer is up.
I do feel that 90 seconds is a bit too long though. You could easily heal by then and sometimes the survivor just walks into the killer accidentally ya know?
What about 10/20/30 seconds? Bearing in mind Borrowed Time only gives you 15 seconds. Or 20/30/40?
With 30-40 seconds you could easily be unhooked and healed by that point and if a killer is going to tunnel they're gonna do it before the survivor is healed. -
Yes. The rule is if 1 quits then 1 is given hatch. Also as long as they aren't toxic I try to 2 hook them all.
If one of then is a Claudette however then they need to be eliminated before the others cus they sure as hell ain't having the hatch. -

@The_Crusader Then they would just lose pressure at a later stage. It still allows all survivors on generators to stay on generators. Yes, but for 1 if-statement added to the perk, you'd only have to avoid getting DS'ed 1 single time. If you managed to get anyone dead without getting DS'ed, further DS's will be significantly less impactful when there's only 3 people alive. Yeah but that's a bif "IF". It would still be possible to use it with 4 survivors alive. I think if non-obsessions can use an obsession perk, then obsession perks like Dying light and rancor should apply to the non-obsession too if they are using an obsession perk. Dying light - 25% if the obsession dies, 10-15% if a non-obsession dies. Rancor - exposed + kill on the obsession, exposed only on non-obsession. Sure it would cripple STBFL but these 2 perks get massive buffs so it's worth it.
It's only fair..
Rancor = NOED+ now
Only on people using obsession perks.
Exposed on non-obsesion = NOED
The location reveal and Obsesion Mori make it +
It sounds OP, well so is all 4 players having access to DS. Non-obsessions shouldn't be able to use it, and if they can then killers obsession perks should work against them too. -

Just out of curiosity. When they all swarmed did you abandon the downed obsession with ds and injure the incoming would be rescuers? That is the play. 1 is down with DS, 1 you are about to beat on till he drops, and another 1 or 2 are trying to pickup the injured survivor. That means a minimum of 3 are not doing generators.
Yeah I did, slugged 3 at one point in fact. It just wasn't as entertaining for me as chasing survivors across the map is. The game doesn't feel like its normal self with altrustic swf.

Stop ganging up on him.
A fix for tbagging is long overdue.

In regards to the idea of increasing gen regression speed for brutal strength, after considering it I don't think the devs would add it.
I think if such a feature was going to be added to a perk they would add it to Overcharge which itself is in need of a buff. The idea of giving survivors a "hard" skillcheck is dead. Anyone with a bit of experience can hit it 9 times out of 10, OC is only good for stopping gen tapping.
I could see this perk being buffed though, like for example overcharge causes the generator to regress at 20% extra speed and you need to complete a skillcheck to unlock it.
I think that feature would go on a generator perk rather than a perk made for smashing stuff.
-
and it really sucks I bet when toxic players rub it in post game. That's why it needs to change.
