I'm not even mad I thought it was hilarious how this guy was so tilted he wasted the last generator just hitting me repeatedly.
He should have taken my advice rather than act too proud and get insulting.

I understand how you feel but that's how things are, if a killer wants you dead, you're going to be killed. Think of it as a compliment, the killer thought you was so good that you must be taken out first, ya know? Furthermore I do agree, killers often blame others for their mistakes, it's human nature to do so but at the same time, it isn't healthy for themselves. That's why I look at my mistakes during and after a match because it makes me a better killer.
It's the fact that he spent minutes hitting me on the hook then insulted me post game, all because he made mistakes. I mean moonwalking in clear line of sight?
He was red rank too so should have known better. It's normally new players who act like this.

@The_Crusader you know we can start a survivor movement for when he tries to start this snowball with the slugs and downing everyone we could just leave each other down and force him to one hook us all forcing them(busted Billy players) to depip. Maybe they’ll stop with the bs. Literally leave each other down and don’t go for the saves. If we can’t play , they can’t either.
I just feel if they gave him a recharge on that saw so he can't whizz the map back to back like he does now, and maybe slowed him down a little when charging so he can't walk around objects like LF can't then he would be fine. Still strong but more balanced.
I'm in the "nerf nurse and billy then buff killers" camp.
-
I think the problem is Billy just feels a little cheap sometimes. You unhook someone and he zooms down the map in seconds for the tunnel. He camps with his instadowns. He doesn't have a timer on his instadown like Myers, nor does he suffer the cooldown or penalty that Leatherface does if he misses, and he isn't even slowed down like LF when using his chainsaw.
When Myers hits tier 3 you get a notification and he has a time limit. If LF wants to instadown you he has to piggyback you, which is what makes it fair because survivors have time to get to another pallet, unless LF catches them in the open.
Billy just flies onto survivors within the first 10 seconds of the game and gets to swing his chainsaw again and again and again.
Compare this to Spirit. She's strong but doens't feel as cheap. Why? because she can't instadown without a perk, she has to hit you twice. Secondly she can't just fly around the map wherever she wants because there is a cooldown and a limit to her power.
Billy's snowball potential is too big. It can be hard for survivors to come back from it. He's a very all or nothing killer. Throw on a few anti-loop perks too and you cover his weaknesses.
He needs reigning in a bit in my opinion.

For me survivor games are less stressful, because we are 4 people, but as killer I am alone. Even if I am more powerful as killer, all responsbilities lie on me, and only me. But as survivor you are only doing one forth of the work (ideally). You dont need to do all gens, you dont need to do all unhooks, you dont need to do all chases. Your performance, whether be it good or bad, wont matter as much as survivor. As killer you are the centre of the game. You are constantly planning as killer. You need to take the inititive. As survivor, you are mostly just waiting for something to happen. If nothing happens, you just sit on your gen.
Exactly this. The workload is shared in survivor but in killer it's all on you. Not to mention the survivors objective is holding M1 on a gen for a good part of the game, by the nature of the game it's always going to be more intense for killers.
-
And the funny thing is when you play killer they touch the ground, run half a mile down the road, you hit them and somehow it still doesn't count!
-
Too many to count
-
Clown is still better at loops than Plague unless she has Corrupted Purge.
-
It's almost as if a large number of people have an issue with this perk, just like they did DS.

Survivors aren't getting nerds they are getting buffs in my opinion. Killers are getting nerfed imo.
And there we have it...

Because rather than try to figure out what they're doing wrong, survivors come to the forum to complain. This isn't like current DS that has no counter. Every single killer and killer perk has counters that survivors either refuse to learn or refuse to use.
lol the irony. Look at all the insane buffs killers cry for because they can't learn how to deal with whatever issues they're having or learn how to play certain killers properly.
Also you could say "just loop them" about any killer. Therefore any killer shouldn't be able to get any hits in on survivors. Yet that's not the case, not for expert players anyway. You see my point?
-
@Bravo0413 said:
@The_Crusader or the survivors can just learn how too loop Billy since it's the hard counter to him... rather then making one of the more popular killers in the game complete garbage
Again, if it were that simple then he wouldn't be regarded as one of the strongest killers in the game and nobody would be using him at top ranks.
If he's so easy to beat then why is he so commonly picked in red ranks?
-
@Orion said:

It is that simple, but survivors don't do it. If survivors don't do it, the perk doesn't get countered. If the perk doesn't get countered, then it's useful.
Solo survivors find it hard to co-ordinate, some just leave them entirely On top of that killers like Billy can pressure the map well enough that they don't have time to cleanse all totems as well.
It's easy to say "just cleanse totems" but sometimes it's easier said than done. Like again people say "just loop billy" yet he's constantly picked because he's strong, or when they say "just get good with skillchecks" for ruin, yet everyone picks Ruin because it slows the game down.
Again it's like when survivors say "just eat the DS" but it's not always that simple because sometimes you simply don't have the time to be messing about with DS when they're rushing gens.
What I'm saying is the fact that people say "billy is easily loopable" yet at the same time everyone recognizes him as one of the strongest killers in the game. There's a lot more going on.
Like when they say "just use stealth" against the nurse, yet nurse is seem as hands down the strongest killer in the game and many would argue OP.
All these tactics work up to a point but in the context of a full game over 10 minutes or so "######### happens".
If all these counters were as simple and easy to consistently pull off for an entire game then none of these things mentioned would be meta, no nurse, no billy, no noed, no ruin, no ds etc
People pick them because they are strong - fact.
-
I'm sure I've seen other posts edited, not deleted entirely.
That said it's a very bad look having behaviour staff constantly talking about disconnecting being against the rules while someone officially endorsed by them does so anyway. I hope they're discussing it with the person in question and not sweeping it under the rug, You can't expect the community to take disconnecting seriously if officially endorsed people don't.
-
Once everything clicks with her it makes sense for the quick instaheals. Being honest.
-
@GrootDude said:
@The_Crusader I doubt up against good survivors that perk will be all that.
They have to do closer gens though, it should help build some early game momentum. It also has them running about a bit more. No longer can they spawn on the far side of the map and have half a gen done before you can even get to them.
It will make maps like Azarov's bearable.
-
What do you mean?
This new perk corrupt intervention looks immense. Suddenly all the killers with poor map pressure have it because now they don't have to piss about on a full map anymore.
-
@Carpemortum said:

Look for totems. Noed is not only nerfed but removed from play.
But again if it were that simple then no killer would take it because they would never get to use it, but the it seems like the majority do and that's because everyone knows it's an incredibly strong perk.
It's like when people use to say "Just eat the Decisive" but it wasn't so simple in reality.
-
@Swiftblade131 said:
Or learn to dodge
I don't get this "git gud" attitude. Killer mains do it if someone complains about NOED or Ruin too. Sure you can make things sound simple but it doesn't pan out that way in game.
If it was just a case of "just dodge" then Billy wouldn't be used so commonly at red ranks, nor would he always be in the top 2 when it comes to tier lists. Pretty sure he has the most killers per killer in the stats too.
Same for Ruin and NOED. If they weren't strong then they wouldn't be meta.
-
That would be amazing.

@malloymk said:
I don't know what the solution is. But he is boring AF to play against. Instadown, hook, bbq and sprint, instadown, sprint back to the guy who was hooked first. Yawn.
I don't know what the answer is. I get why killers don't want him nerfed. But man is he boring to go up against.
Yeah having him on top of a survivor 10 seconds into the game swinging one instadown attempt after another with barely any punishment is just boring. Especially when he's so common once you reach higher ranks.

And Im talking about all the BS that killers have to face until this game is balanced.
BNP = Half a gen done, equip 4 of those and your are done in less than 4 min.
Adrenaline is definitely not the same as NOED, NOED can be stopped from happening. Adrenaline cant be stopped unless you know a survivor is using it and you tunnel him until he is dead.
Some exhaustion perks like SB, Dead Hard pretty much demolish some killer's powers so I dont see how that's balanced.
Busted Billy is the only way to counter all that BS and I love him for that. How about we buff all killers to his level instead of nerfing the only viable killer that can bury SWF groups?
If all killers would be at his Tier Level we wouldnt see so many people running the same perks and stealth would become meta as it once was. Those people who have a problem with Billy or any other killer besides Nurse dont know how to play the game. Let me tell you that I also play as survivor and I know what survivors are capable of because I play SWF and I know how broken they can be. If you are playing solo survivor you should already know that the killer is not the problem, rank system is.
BNP is 15%, not half a gen.
25% if you manage to get both skillchecks.
-
He just needs a recharge on his chainsaw to stop him whizzing around and tunneling, and maybe have his chainsaw charge slow him down a bit like LF so that he can't just casually walk behind a survivor and instadown them.
-
@MhhBurgers said:
Noch Billy and Nurse need needs so that we can finally start working on general changes
You mean NOED, billy and nurse?
If so I agree. Nerf these 3 things and it becomes much easier to justify buffs to all other killers. The problem they have right now is that all these killer buffs just results in noed billy and nurses becoming more OP. Especially at rank 1 where people know how to play these killers.
-
He is a pretty good player. I don't know why people try to argue he's not. Far better than the average killer player I see when I play survivor.
Having said that he doesn't always play perfect and he does make questionable decisions. That's fine nobody will play perfect. Sometimes he gets irritated and blames it on the killer or other situations rather than analyzing that he messed up.
Like that recent Huntress basement video. Granted it was DS that absolutely shafted him but I think looking back even he could admit that he wasted far too much time in that first chase around the shack. He knows better than to do thst but sometimes when you play you think you've almost got them and it can be hard to just let go.
-
It would be good but when raised before the downside was always "the killer can camp the totem".
If you had something like this you'd need like 5 totems lit with the survivors needing to take out a random 3, which wouldn't work with how totems are currently.
-
I absolutely can not stand playing against Freddy so I seriously hope the rework comes soon.
When they reveal it I'm guessing there will be a number of people who rush to use old Freddy while he's still there. I'll be avoiding playing survivor during this time.
-
🤢.
-
I've honestly never had this. His d/c rates dont seem much different to others for me. I cheese chases too (I'm sorry but I cba otherwise).
-
That's because most people are idiots.
I heal everyone I see. Helps them last longer in a chase which buys the team more time and it's easy points for me.
However these days I'll try to get them to follow me after an unhook since I know the direction the killer went in and I want them to run the other way. Some insist on running straight towards the killer though. Those people are on their own.
-
I would have put her low yesterday but high today.
She's gonna need more testing before I can give a definite answer though.
-
Claudette
-
Well like everyone else I thoughr she was ######### yesterday.
I've gone in today trying new strategies, the one tru3talent has been showing off. I've also switched out some perks.
You know what? I did extremely well. We're talking 1 gen done well. She's much stronger than you woukd think. Granted I didn't get the most tryhard of tryhard survivors today, no wall hugging p3 claudettes but it was still good.
I feel that the puke can be a bit random though. Sometimes you get them with a full stream or a stream and a bit and they quickly become broken. Sometimes it looks like you're hitting them with 3 streams and they still aren't broken.
Having said all that in some games it can be scary how quickly she is downing survivors. It's really quick.
On a side note I really underrated that Fright perk. I thought it was mostly for noobs who get flashlight stunned but no it's a damn useful perk. Especially on Plague as you can spit on a survivor so they run off to a fountain then you come back to hook the slugged one.
-
How come the Babylonian temple was put into red forest?
For the past 2 chapters each killer had their own realm, I'm just curious why Plague didn't get one.
-
I do. I've got all perks unlocked anyway so don't need them. On the odd occasion I want a cosmetic I'll just buy it with auric cells.
The shrine for me is a way to reduce the grind. I might have all the perks unlocked but I still need to get them on all the killers.
-
I found it got better in purple and red ranks, and that it was just ranks 10-15 where every game was a camp/tunnel fest.
The ptb has proved otherwise though.
Who would have guessed that Decisive, nay Defensive Strike would have been our beacon of hope?
-
Haha yeah the power is good.

New Killer: THE DIRECTOR
Movenent speed 115%
Weapon: The Ban Hammer
Power: "Mathieu's Magic"
While holding the right mouse button (or the console equivalent) Mathieu can channel "Mathieu's Magic" which makes all survivors more likely to encounter bugs long thought dead while also increasing the frequency and difficulty of skillchecks for a duration.
Additionally, if a survivor is sacrificed or mori'd by THE DIRECTOR their Dead by Daylight account receives a temporary ban of 1 year. If they DC in a match against THE DIRECTOR they are permanently banned.
The killer's unique perks are:
Play Something Else:
Each successful attack decreases survivor movement by 0.5%, 1%, 2%. This effect cannot stack past 5 successful attacks on any given survivor.
Civilization:
Each generator repaired increases the total number of charges required to repair other generators by 10%/15%/20%
HEX: Pretty Good Job So Far
For each generator repaired the hook sacrifice timer is reduced by 1/5/10 seconds.
I would have given him...
Hex: Nerf
Every time a survivor is hooked a token is received.
At 2 tokens survivors take an extra 4 seconds to heal
At 3 tokens survivors suffer from the exhaustion effect
At 5 tokens half of the pallets remaining are removed from the map
Pretty good job so far
When a survivor vaults a window a simulated lag effect occurs and the survivor is pulled back onto the other side of the vault. PGJSF has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
Go play civilization: (Obsession perk)
Once per game, when the final generator is completed the killer can perform a special attack on the obsession which closes the DBD game and launches Civilization from the users steam library. If no copy of Civilzation is found then a random game is launched in its place.
All in all I think he could be upper mid tier.

I've played with salty 4 man swf before, just random people from steam, no voice comms. You get killers with noed who make it so obvious they also have bloodwarden.
You should see the salt you get if you do the smart thing and escape while half your team is slugged. They actually expect you to give the killer the 4k and die with them even though the chances of saving them were very slim.
-
Damn, he must have got hit by DS in his first game.
-
This is Legion all over again
- Just make him 115% speed
- Let his Frenzy instadown injured survivors
Basically ridiculous ideas that really seem to prove that killers just want easy 4ks and killers that are so OP they seem like a fan creation.
It's extremely easy to puke on a survivor, even if only a small amount. They will become broken eventually. Having the action speed debuff or removing the instaheal would seem unfair and OP.
Maybe the speed of the fountain could be reduced a little but it does need to instaheal. Other survivors cant heal infected people without becoming infected themselves, so everyone would need self-care or a med-kit which isnt fair,.
The corrupt purge could perhaps use some tweaking as yes it does seem hard to make use of it sometimes.

Lmao same, I will buy her 2 new outfits right away.
My money, my choice guys, I am so sorry. Despite the game's flaws, I have 1373 hours as of now. If the game dies tomorrow, I honestly don't know what I am gonna do with my computer since there is no other game I play as much as I play DbD.
They are improving the game day by day. Cosmetic store came with the clown update and with that update and the following updates, we've gotten pallet vacuum removal, double pallet removal, nerf to exhaustion perks, main building changes, removal of some very safe pallets, nerf and buff to some killer and survivor perks, buff to some killers etc. We are looking at DS nerf and a couple of upcoming changes.
They are improving the game and I have faith in them, I don't see my money being wasted right now. Community is too negative towards BHVR and their good will.
IMO, the true cost of cosmetics was entirely positive, and helped them a lot to improve the game and still helps them to continue to improve it.
And that's another thing.
You can spend $60 on a game, enjoy it for 10-20 hours and then never touch it again.
DBD is $20 now? And that's not counting the fact that it's often 50% off.
When you spend $20 and get 1373 hours I think it's easy to say you've got more than your moneys worth and then justify buying a few cosmetics. That's what I do. I've definitely got my value out of this.
-
^Oh seems the full thing is censored too but not in game
Why cant we just have "BAD WORD" in the game chat?

The 3 letter abbreviation for "#########" is censored on the forums but not in game. Imagine that.

He is not cherry picking, I watched his stream yesterday and he uploaded all games he played on yt.
I don't get how he has all these 4head survivors though.
Like he will get 1 down and then there are 2 more just standing about nearby.
With me I down 1 and the next are all spread about the map doing a gen each. Even with corrupt intervention they're nevee grouped up or just chilling nearby like they are in his videos.
-
I'm sorry but if the survivors haven't readied up then I'm lobby dodging.
Far, far, far too many games with toxic idiots who do the last second switch to claudette or nea with the purple flashlights.
I'm not even fussed about a flashlight, it's just that I know these are going to be the toxic clicky-clicky people and I don't want to play with people like that.
I do the same as survivor too. I don't want these idiots on my team because they don't contribute anything. They don't do gens all they do is follow the killer around trying to be an ass. Most of the time they can't even get the flashlight saves because they're so useless. Then post game they cry about how everyone else was bad because god forbid these people accept that they cost the team the game by contributing nothing towards it.

the "solid" survivors that he gets are a joke. So far on the PTB most survivors that I got know how to play against the plague already by staying near loops till the first health-state kicks in. He gets ppl that run straight out in the open in a straight line and would get ######### by leatherface or billy just as hard.
Maybe they wanna be seen on his stream or sth?
This is what I mean. At first I thought he was cherry-picking videos but he has a fair few now so perhaps not.
Still the survivors I get are nowhere near like what he gets. They're either immediately on strong loops or they're the most immersed Claudettes you've ever (not) seen.
-
No because as soon as she approached you in TR range she could then just walk away while you need to go cleanse.
This would only be balanced if the infection decreased outside of TR like the Doctor's madness.
