Don't let it get to you so much. I know it is frustrating, I don't even lobby dodge so you can imagine. What helps me is punishing them in some way. Sometimes I just focus on their clicky leader no matter how many insta heals and ds'es they got. Someone dies and they wont have their way. Btw if similar comment appears tommorow it is because of the forum don't hate me lol.
I don't always play to win. Sometimes you have to let the steam out. Which killers you play btw?
All of them.
I get punishing them but sometimes you just want to play a normal game ya know? But its hard when so many people only play the game for the enjoyment of being toxic. The problem are the streamers, they promote it and then people buy the game thinking it looks fun running around being a dick.
I have to dodge those lobbies as survivor too because its basically a lost game then as nobody does gens because they're too busy trying to taunt the killer.
I'm not as fussed if I use a strong killer but it sucks when you use a weak killer and you can't punish them as effectively.
I might just throw on Legion, stab wounds and mix tape and ruin the game for them. Oh wait they'll just disconnect then. They'll disconnect because its not fun.....but apparantly it is fun for the killer having people clicking their flashlight and all bringing DS so they can't be hooked.
-
Leatherface is a weird one. Camping does suck....but his defence is his strength. It kind of makes sense to play to that.
-
Toxic swf everywhere. I'd avoid playing the game guys. Not unless you have a fetish for flashlight clicking and teabagging.

You just said it "op #########", why you dont give these items a try and see how unbalanced they are?
Because I like playing the game how it is. Its like a test of skill. See how good you are, see how well a certain build works etc
I dont want to bring a mori or the purple/red add ons because its not a test of skill then. Its just getting a shorter game through OP add ons.

What about this?
Killers have overpowered things too..
I guess I complain because I don't use any of that. I don't use moris, I dont use Noed, i dont use iri heads or 5 blinks, and as survivor I dont use DS, I dont use adrenaline, and I barely ever bring items and if I do its just a medkit.
I could use a mori against these groups but I dont want to. I just want normal gamed with no OP #########.
-
So lobbies take ages now and every one of them is 3-4 man swf.
Yeah this game blows.
-
Has anyone noticed more swf recently?
I check their profiles and they're all friends. 3-4 man is almost every game.
Is this due to how the new system is pulling them in? Its practically every lobby.
I'm not playing against them btw. 2 man I dont mind. 3-4 man just means the most powerful items and toxicity.
-
No.
-
I'll be glad to see the back of this perk.
-
Killer lobbies have taken a while the past few days. Seems the new system is slower than the last. I wouldnt bother becoming a killer main.
-
Well this is a great change. Now you cant prepare for swf.
First game - map offering, multiple luck/mist offerings, purple medkit with best add ons, commodious toolbox with best add ons, purple flashlight with best add ons, multiple DS.
You see why killers kind of need this info? Because when swf get together they bring their best #########. You really need your own good stuff to counter it.

Obviously the percentages would have to be worked out so as not to be oppressive. Hell, maybe it could affect something other than repair speed. I said "a debuff" for a reason, it doesn't necessarily have to be repair speed. Also, in case it wasn't clear, Thanatophobia would no longer apply except when survivors died. So injuries and hooks wouldn't matter.
Does that not turn into dying light then though? where it's optimal to tunnel a survivor out as early as possible?
The thing with thana now is, more survivors alive = more injured/hooked/dying = buys you more time since gens are slowed down.
With this one more survivors dead = buys you more time with debuff, but with more survivors dead you don't need that debuff as much.
Like when it starts to get good with 2 survivors dead, well if you've got only 2 survivors left chances are they aren't going to get very much done anyway.
-
I had that with spirit and I got a new mouse. Seemed to fix it.
Nurse rapid blink though....yeah that still exists for me. She kind of spams her power for no reason but you're not actually blinking.
-
Would be OP and demoralizing to the survivors.
3 vs 1 is hard enough, say someone disconnected at the start of the game, the 3 survivors remaining with 5 gens to go would now have at least 1 debuff applied.
Or
2 survivors left and a gen to go. Or 3 survivors and 2 gens. It's doable. Situations like this though would remain pointless and encourage even more of a hatch camping game. 1-2 perma debuffs for the dead survivors, injure 1 in a chase and the last gen might take so long that survivors dont bother to try. Just go straight to hatch camp mode.
Lastly if you have 2 survivors dead with a few gens to go its likely the last 2 will be hatch camping anyway. So a repair spedd nerf is worthless. Chances are whoever you find then wont be getting away either so a healing speed nerf would be useless to survivors.
Basically having a strong Thana apply to dead survivors would either be useless or demoralizing.

Do some research first before embarrassing yourself yet again. Dwight is modelled after a different BHVR employee.
Just goes to show how little attention you pay to get your facts straight.
Why do you always sound so angry? Smile a little dude :)
Besides the facts don't matter. It's now lore that Dwight and Dwearder are based on Cote and McLean.
Apologies to real Dwight.

Also: Comparing NOED to Adrenaline is...meh.
That meme is damn true for everything.
Killers ask for changes, survivors adapt, then they ask for survivors adaptation to be nerfed.

The issue isn't healing being too slow and causing the gen rush meta. The issue is how powerful survivors are to where they don't NEED to heal and choosing to just work on the gens is even an option.
Healing needs to be that slow. The survivors just need to be weak enough that they feel like they actually need to heal regardless of the speed. The gens are also able to be done too fast which is also why just rushing them and ignoring healing is even an option.
Whats the point in healing if you know you're going to get an instaheal pretty soon anyway? There isnt one. Adrenaline should go, but it wont happen because killer mains would kick and scream if they ever had to lose Noed to balance it out.
-
Revisionist history.
Adrenaline was common before too. 24 seconds self-care made it a little too strong. To the point that it was overused. I mean its still used in games a lot now but at least some survivors play it smart and seek out survivors nearby to be healed.

Does anyone know what their reasoning was behind it not getting the buff? They may come out with new numbers with the next PTB or a reworking of sorts, I dunno.
Nobody knows why they announced such a strong buff in the first place, nobody knows why it was taken away.
Did anyone even try it out in the ptb? Most people used plague and it wasnt a good perk for her.

I'm telling you, after the DS rework they want to nerf a killer perk to avoid another review bomb.
But if they wanted to please survivors everyone knows the one perk they would have to addres to do that is NOED. Its always been the most controversial.
Plus at least ds is anti-tunneling now, and kindred is buffed to be more anti-camped, along with killers losing even more points now for camping.
-
The community has spoken. At least leave Thana as it is with 6/9/12/15. Its better than 4/8 since you will only have 1-2 survivors injured/hooked most of the time.

" its like people forget that the game needs to be enjoyable in both roles as killer AND survivor."
That's the point.
But in literally ALL topics the term "fun" is only used for survivor.
Killer player are human beings too and they play a GAME to have "fun", but any mechanic that is "fun" for killer is getting ripped apart how "unfun" that is for survivor.
Because some of the buff suggestions are crazy
-
4 seconds is too much. Hope that never returns.
Cant they just do 2-2.5 seconds but not have enduring affect it?
-
Glad more and more people are being brave enoigh to say this at the risk of angering the mob.
There is definitely a "killer main" mentality here. Some things I agree with, some things I don't, but in all their requests for buffs its like people forget that the game needs to be enjoyable in both roles as killer AND survivor.

It’s not healthy for gameplay. Healing yourself will take 57 seconds, and will be increasingly harder to pull off due to the healing noise, and moans if you aren’t running iron will.
Some ideas are better on paper than they are in exposition.
But they could at least leave it as it is rather than nerf it even further. Everyone thinks irs weak at the moment anyway.
Besides they would have known how long healing takes so not sure why they announced this buff in the first place.
-
With a 24% speed decrease, and survivors only taken 1 hit to go down so shorter chases, thanataphobia countered the gen rush while injured strategy.
Also the idea of thanat is to make survivors heal in the first place so it doesnt get that far. E.g. if 2 survivors are injured well then you better focus on healing up before anyone else gets injured.
It might have been too strong on some killers though. Legion, Nurse, and Billy. As those 3 can pressure survivors enough that they dont have time to heal.
-
I wish they would explain this further.
It seems it was intentional to not have it work on the ptb. There was obviously something they didn't like so now it's back again.
Why disable it last minute? And what made them add it back?

For my Legion, Thanato is an important role with my perk set up. That's why I don't use ruin on my Legion because its that effective. With that being said, if another Legion uses my set up while using ruin it is going to be a bad time for the survivor team.
And if they buff Thanato it would just make my build even more powerful, but IMO the perk needs to be buffed because it shouldn't only be useful for one killer.
I used thano and sloppy too. I've seen many leguons that take those and ruin as well however.
Not sure if theres a point if its being nerfed. I cant help but feel it is legion related in some way.

I knew this would happen, they didn't even say why they didn't like it or why it was taken out. They said they'll add in a new buff for it along with buffs to other perks, probably in the mid-chapter but still, I was so excited for this.
The problem is it sounds like a lot od things were its a case of "we'd like to do this one day...." But they get so busy with everything else that the day never comes.
Look at DS, its taken forever for that to get changed and that was much more important.
-
NOED nerf or info on dull totems for solo survivors.
Just as DS ruined the game as killer, this perk ruins the game as solo survivor.
-
I'm guessing the disconnect against Legion would go even higher if they did.
-
Gonna be honest, I thought it was pretty good. DS is much better and now Lithe can be depended on. The kindred is a nice buff against camping killers too and BBQ is now worth using at low tiers.
-
Agreed. At the very least leave it as it is. Nobody wants to start off with 4%.
-
Pretty good buff so far.
They should at least just leave it as it is. 6/9/12/15.
I wonder if this is Legion related.

The problem is, in a chase she will get you, you just get a free hit with the power and with the addon that increase the speed while charging the power is impossible
If she gets close yes, but that's true for Billy and Leatherface anyway.

What? They're putting it at 16%, before it was 15%.
1% increase for 4 survivors injured.
2% decrease for 1 survivor injured, 1% decrease for 2 survivors injured.
Most of the time you'll only have 1-2 survivors injured/dying/hooked so yeah it's a nerf.

Something Ninja/kunoichi themed would be amazing. Googled and came across these pics, it's the kind of vibe I'm thinking of but there is a lot of room for experimentation.
The rest are just outfits are I think might be interesting for the characters...
Ace Visconti
That cheesy grin that Ace has. Maybe a traditional greaser outfit? Along with Travolta's hair
David King
edit nevermind, he pretty much has this as that event jacket. Shame it's not for sale.
Claudette Morel
Might as well at this point.

How do you access the survey?

Is this satire? Resilience and ESPECIALLY This Is Not Happening are weak perks. Your logic makes no sense. Than, a weak perk, got a buff, so it was asked that two weak survivor perks also get a buff. Than buff gets reverted so you think it's a good idea to make two already weak perks now completely useless?
Its not "reverted" though, it's nerfed from what it is currently.
So while we're in the habit of nerfing already weak perks...
-
I had good results with sloppy and thana on spirit. Now that its being nerfed though I won't bother.
-

-
No.
Some say she's strong (tru3, Tyde) but I don't think either out her on par with Nurse or Billy.
Others put her at mid to upper-mid tier.
Remember though she needs to be strong because survivors get instaheals in return. So there is a lot less time wasted healing.
-
Would 8/12/16/20 have been better?
-
Its good that killers have a counter for survivors that abuse it...but then it just assists tunneling killers.
Not sure if this is good or bad.
-
Yeah throw in coldwind offerings too
-
So when survivors kept asking for resilience and this is not happening to be buffed to counter the new thana, I guess since Thana is now nerfed those 2 perks need nerfing too.
Resilence - 4/5/6% bonus right?
-
Medkits don't stack with We'll make it.
-
I'd be less fussed if they cancelled the changes but kept it as it is. There's no reason to nerf it even further.
4 and 8%....2 survivors injured and you're still doing less than Resilience. At least before the 9% countered resilience.
-
I've only tried it once and yes it was hard.
There are grass and rocks everywhere. There are often deadzones too. Some parts are made in such a way that you cant directly blink due ti a deadzone, at which point a survivor can find something to hide behind or in and immediately lose line of sight.

Any farm map for any killer for me. I'm severely colorblind, so farm is insane. I have to hunt like a T-Rex, looking for motion. Swamp is not much better, then again, the lower floor of Game is rough too.
Interesting you say that. I'm colourblind too (though not severe) and I'm also cornblind. I wonder if that adds to it.
I feel like sometimes theres no point me even playing on rotten fields. If a survivor gets a bit of a distance and arent wearing bright clothes they can just completely disappear on me.
