Oh it gets better. Seems there's more than just one nerf...
Currently testing to confirm.

Is that the loud glass crackling sound I've been hearing in today's matches as Spirit?
That's the one.

I didn't play with her and against her, what happened, can someone explain it to me without falling into emotions?
When she starts phasing within terror radius she now omits a sound so survivors know she's phasing.
-
Came across one in a game. Heard a distinct sound when she started phasing.
-
Yup.

It is an obsession perk so you will know they have it.
so was DS, didn't stop it from being a broken P.O.S

There's no reason to grab a pitchfork regardless of what happens.
Honestly, if you're so far gone that you think everything the devs do shows their shameful favoritism for one side or the other, you should take a break.
It's not favourtism, it's people with many hours on the game realizing this is a busted, OP and unfair perk in much the same way DS was. On top of that it's open to being exploited by the most toxic of players.
-
where's my boy @Wolf74 he's going to have a field day with this perk description.

Lets be honest. Game is balanced around bullying the killer.
Exactly what I've been saying. I think this perk proves it. This is where the money is.
You know it's true when you just look at some of the fog whisperers they have picked who promote this playstyle, no names mentioned.

Clown has DRASTICALLY reduced movement while refilling. Next?
Cant win loops bc of her power? A slight ms change isnt going to change that. If that's really the concern, get better at chasing people, without the crutch of a power....
Have to let them leave to get corrupt power? Really? This farfetched scenario to try and prove her power needs a Ms buff? Why would you ever let then run, just to get corrupt fountain. You wouldnt. Youd either chase someone else, or put them down with m1.
Next ridiculous attempt at changing the point of this discussion?
She shouldn't have full Ms while charging.
but she's easily looped, hence why everyone who was doing good with her an example being tru3 were using the tactic of leaving survivors if they got to loops so they would create a corrupt fountain.
If you play her like a normal killer then she's #########. Might as well just stick to someone who isn't crippled by pallets.
-
I don't think it's meant to be balanced in all honesty. I think it's designed so that clicky clicky Meg can loop you, dead hard, loop some more, take a free hit, loop again, get away and heal possibly then tbag you from the exit gates at the other side of the map.

We've have six straight Survivors in a row where the best perks among them top out as 'decent' or 'niche' and maybe just 'good' if you really stretch the definition of 'good'. And now we get the first sniff of one that could be meta? Threads like this, wew.
By meta you mean "brokenly overpowered to the point it's overused and can change the game" like DS?
There are 4 survivors. Hence why their perks should be weaker. When DS stacked 4 times it broke the game. Same for instaheals, same for everything survivors have.
-
you seem to be alone in that, many people don't consider her that strong and even tru3 who was a big supporter says she feels much weaker now.
I don't think anybody has ever put her in nurse tier. Nor even billy tier.

Coming at me in other threads now? Hon, I play both, if you actually paid attention to anything I say. Also, clown has to, get this, REFILL after 5 uses, and his drastically slows the survivors movement speed, never doing damage. Its not an attack power, it's a chase helper.
Nice attempt though.
Clown can refill on the spot. Plague needs to infect a survivor, wait for that survivor to use a fountain, plod over to the fountain, drink from it, then has a time limit in which to find survivors to hit with corrupt purge.
Clown's bottles can get him hits on loops, purge's vile purge can not. She's easily looped without her corrupt purge.
-
typical how another licensed survivor brings the most busted perk.
-
They got the important stuff though, they managed to nerf a killer who many people thought was mid-tier, and even the people who thought she was strong still put her below Nurse and Billy.

The devs won't be talking about this perk until Chapter 12's PTB releases 2-3 months from now. They sure as hell ain't going to be taking balancing suggestions on a perk that officially does not exist yet.
Perhaps they should be taking balance suggestions because anyone that has played the game can see how busted this one perk is.
Of course, gotta chase that toxic survivor money!
-
I'm not fussed about respectable buffs here and there but MoM is basically a free pallet to a survivor with no counter play. It's DS all over again.
-
@Carpemortum said:
I'm seeing a lot of "shes ruined, because I cant walk around with my power ready to blast the entire time."
GOOD. Huntress cant, LF cant.
Almost nobody can use their power 100% of the game and not get a movement speed reduction.
But I dont see anyone mad that huntress isnt at full speed with hatchets wound up.
Clown can.
If vile purge was anywhere near as good as a Huntress hatchet then I would agree with you.
your survivor main is showing btw

@brokedownpalace said:
It'll be great combined with an instaheal. Get hit, heal, get hit twice more and downed and then when you are unhooked you're invincible.
Throw in a dead hard too and that's 2 hits you avoid, basically a free chase.
Any killer who can't anti-loop will be completely worthless.
Oh and god help you if it's a SWF with Borrowed Time

They need 4 of them as opposed to only 1 killer, finally.
And that's what new killers are for. Luring people into playing them. They get fed up of all the 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances, they leave or turn into survivors, and the cycle repeats over and over.
This pretty much sums up the Plague

@Delfador said:
That perk will never see the sunlight.
As a survivor main, I can easily say it. EXTREMELY UNBALANCED. It is not even gonna get nerfed, they are going to rework it before it hits live.
Dude it's in the game right now. They obviously had the idea that this was a good perk.
The designers there don't think like you or I. I don't wanna say they don't play the game.....but with this perk I think we can safely say that they indeed do not play their own game.

You mean Grants you one shot to not be put down, and reveals you when you heal?
16m hon, is not that far. And it gives you away if you heal....
You REALLY want that killer bias to show dont you...
It's grants you immunity from the third hit. It's everything people hated about DS and OoO rolled into one.
Wait until you get the toxic p3 claudette looping around pallet after pallet, dodges first hit with dead hard, next hit doesn't count, gets to a mega loop, you break chase, then see them tbagging from the other side of the map.
It's the PERFECT perk for toxic players.
Guessing you're really missing the old DS though huh? oh well here's your replacement, now you can be twice as toxic.
-
So a perk that grants you a free health state and lets you tbag the killer from the other side of the map.
Really proves my point about how in the pursuit of money BHVR is now just catering towards the toxic swf playerbase.
-
@Eveline said:
Most likely.
well then no plague for me since I'll stop playing once that update comes out.
-
She was easy to loop with corrupt purge in the ptb anyway. All you needed was a jungle gym wall, due to the constantly changing angles and the slow movement speed of the projectile survivors could dodge hits anyway.
It might help some areas being less slow than charging but I think she's going to be even easier to loop now since you still slow down when charging, slow down when charged, you have to get right next to them just to charge up a vomit.
-
Footstep audio still isn't what it used to be before the legion engine update. They said they were going to do a survey but it never came?
-
@Eveline said:
Crusader let Legion heal you. Embrace them.
Legion is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Even Freddy is 100 times better.
-
I'm exactly the same. By far the most unfair and unfun thing I've ever seen in a game.
-
Its a free hit ffs. Combine this and dead hard and you essentially avoid 2 hits, then immediately follow with a pallet slam and tbag.
Imagine using those perks on a pallet haven map against killers like pig, freddy, wraith, LF, doctor etc
-
@Hoodied said:
@The_Crusader It will, but its gonna get reworked
How do you know? Its only just leaked and its currently in the game already as that form. The fact that someone on the salary these guys are on coukd even think to implement such a broken perk is scary and really makes me lose all confidenxe for the future of this game.
-
Lol no. I'm done if mettle of man makes it in.
Must be from the same guy who created DS.

And to think that perk could be used 4 times in a match...
Could you imagine if it was the other way around and it was a free insta down to the next healthy survivor you hit after hitting 3 others? There would be riots.
If it's not an April Fool's joke then this will be the final straw for me and I'll uninstall. Actually sounds worse than DS. At least with DS you could leave them slugged.
-
@Bongbingbing said:

Exactly, It's another free escape, probably with the speed burst of being hit too.
I imagine this is how the brainstorming went..
Dev 1: What do killers think ruins the game the most?
Dev2: Toxic survivors, especially those who use DS as a free escape or OoO to taunt the killer from afar
Dev1: hmm, I have a perfect idea for a perk! One that grants a survivor a free escape AND lets them tbag from afar! I'm a genius.
Yeah if this ######### goes in the game I'm done. I thought they learned after DS.
-
@Bongbingbing said:
Get ready, Mettle of Man will be the new DS. 😑
I just read that perk. #########? It's instaheal in perk form.
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:
It’s only really affecting solo players. On the other hand, SWF are getting more benefit out of some of these such as Prove Thyself buff, Jane’s new survivor healing perk, etc.
Killers are seeing more balance on their end too. But like I said, it’s really solo players who are getting screwed the most.
Pretty much this. Its almost as if 3-4 man sef unbalances the game...
-
But this is really going to cramp my toxic playstyle! Now when i tbag the killer I'll have to take a hook for it??
THAT IS SO UNFAIR!!!
-
Good to see this OP perk finally being nerfed. It was game breakingly strong for far too long.
-
What are the full list of buffs and nerfs? And how slow is she when charged?
Also lmfao at how she needed to be slowed down when charging but Billy is apparantly just fine the way he is.
-
The era of DS is over. Burn in hell you piece of ****
We will look back on that era and wonder why the hell we ever put up with such a perk.
-
Once it gets to the final 12 hours the shrine should say "Soon™"

The killer idea is that the official PlayStation Japan announced on Twitter that it was coming on the 20th now with time differences that means that there's a strong chance it will come on the 19th as Japan is a whole 13 hours ahead of time... However nothing's guaranteed as theirs been no official statement from BHVR. If it is today expect it to be late in the day.
I'm pretty sure they were bang on with Legion. Either today or tomorrow then.

Not bait. Why do you call everything you disagree with "bait"? If you don't like the 110% bit, then ignore it and just focus on the "anti-looping" bit.
Because you've played the game long enough to know that most of the 110% speed killers aren't meant to be played in that way.
Anti-looping builds are more for the killers who can't do anything at loops.
-
The good thing about Legion is that they hate him. Want to be toxic? Ok I'll throw on mixtape and ruin the game for you too.
-
Bait post?
I'm sure you know that you're not meant to go that route with 110% speed killers. Huntress doesn't play like that, Hag doesn't play like that, Spirit is all about fooling the survivors to get the hit in, only you-know-who is 110% speed and might benefit from an anti-loop playstyle.
But you knew this already, so now I'm curious why you're posting this lol
-
@Eveline said:
When someone goes to a good loop you don't chase them in the early game unless you want to get rid of some pallets. No pallets? If you chase enjoy being gen rushed to death.
Yeah I get that, the problem with these loops ishat its not about a pallet so you can't end it permanently.
If they go straight for a loop like this I ignore them, the problem is when all survivors just run over and iver and over to it again.
Or late game when you have time to wasts but it takes like half an hour to get them.
These loops shouldn't be in the game. They're a throwback to the "dark times".
-
@Ihatelife said:
You forget to mention Suffocation Pit, Wretched shop can be still a very good loop, Laurie's house at Haddonfield is break-game loop with BL, Lery's memorial institute, the middest room with thousand windows can be still a good loop, if you know how to play on this. Mommy Huntress main building: RNG if the good window will be open, coal tower window loop is still good, Groaning store house - RNG and my FAVOURITE MAP: Ironworks of misery - One of the most powerful window loops in the game.
A lot of the maps has a good windows to loop...ooooff
That's what I don't get. These loops are immensly powerful and require no skill to use. Most killers aren't able to do anything about it. So survivors run there again and again and again.
The torment creek loop is huge with the right window, and rancid abbatoir is a nightmare.
They're so brainless and dumb that even a monkey could loop them. It gets boring watching the survivors run there every single time you give chase.
Oh but the devs blocked some off half of the time you spawn, so you're only getting extremely poor design 50% of the time!!
-
Entity blocker
"Lets block the window after a survivor has used it 3 times"
*Entity blocks window, survivor jumps right through it anyway*
"Eh, its fine"
-
Everything we get in this game is abused by toxic swf who only want to bully the killers.
But thats the primary audience now so...
