  • I don't think financial pressures are the reason for the four Chapters per year cycle; I think that's more something to keep people interested in the game - especially considering that Killer Reworks are often during the Mid-Chapters between those Chapter releases.

I could be totally wrong, but I think the devs get more money from the store and Rift than their DLC. The DLC exists to ensure player retention, which theoretically encourages more people to buy cosmetics and the Rift.

If they shifted away from their current format and merely just improved the quality of what released, I personally don't think it would help them. Yes, a lot of people hate bugs, but they don't love having no bugs - they love new content to keep the game from getting stale.

To that end, I think they would benefit more from releasing original paragraphs occasionally instead of original chapters. They focus primarily on the next new licensed chapter and making sure it has a lot of content available (Map, Survivor, Killer) and that the content included works, with the paragraph being a much smaller affair more to keep people interested in between bigger releases.

Ideally it would be just a Survivor - seeing as they're just a cosmetic with new VA and 3 perks, but just a Killer, or maybe a Survivor + Map or a Killer + Map would also work. Nothing huge or demanding - just something to keep people engaged in the game.

    -

Obviously, this is all assuming BHVR is under some duress at the moment and that they don't derive most of their income from chapters.

If everything is fine with them and this chapter was just a fluke, they have no reason to change anything besides being more careful next time.

And if they are under duress and do get the bulk of their revenue from chapters, they would indeed probably benefit more from just making newer characters acquirable only through chapter purchases or Auric Cells.

do you know how long it has been since nurse has gotten a new cosmetic? it feels like its been ages but im not 100% sure

IIRC it's been since the first Rift; her Hallowed Blight outfit.

Unless her Grim Matsuri Acupuncturist outfit came after that. I think that might have released with Oni.

Either way it's been a year (feel free to correct me if I'm horribly mistaken, I don't really pay that much attention to cosmetics for those strange non-Huntress Killers).

  • YES! I was just thinking how Victor is the entire power.

Like, if you could give someone the choice, they would just play Victor the entire game because he's the one who can actually do anything fun and different. Chatlotte literally just M1s and hooks people.

They both need something in their kit. The gameplay for a dual-Killer shouldn't be "I play Killer B because otherwise I have no power, and I play Killer A because Killer B is on cooldown/I need to hook someone."

Ideally there'd be situations suited better to playing as Charlotte or Victor; making knowing when to swap between them impactful and into a skill based decision (i.e. I know this loop is better as Charlotte, not Victor, so I'll stay as Charlotte).

As is though, the whole swapping mechanic is more of a penalty than anything else.

  • Demorgorgon can't lunge through windows or over pallets and buildings, [BAD WORD] Hatchet is more accurate.

Edit: Actually Demogorgon CAN lunge over all those things, but not from like ground level like Victor can.

U know why u got those rank 15s?

Because they were probably smurfing, then cried when they faced you. I think mmr was good.

Smurfs just got some reality and took screenshots and cried.

Besides, currently green rank killers are facing red rank swfs so only fair if a couple of smurfing swfs have to face equal competition as well.

I played during that time, and no, there were Rank 20 players with less than 10 hours who legitimately could not hit skillchecks getting matched with Red Ranks with thousands of hours.

The MMR did not work, and BHVR removed it because it did not work.

huntress in what looks to be your A tier seems like bit much. she's just too map dependent.

the rest sounds about right. are you saying you think nurse is the best killer without perks? like you said you can get stelathed and gen rushed pretty hard as nurse that doesn't sound right

Eh, I think that Huntress relies more on snowball opportunities (and occasional cross map Hatchets) more then getting a good map.

I've 4k'ed on Ormond, The Game, Sanctum of Wrath, and Haddonfield - and I'm not that great at her, especially compared to people like Ralph or Umbra.

It's more about getting that opportunity to actually start downing people incredibly fast than it is her struggling with specific maps being too big or having loops that are too strong - those maps just make that snowball situation harder to achieve

    But then I'm probably biased.

    -

As for Nurse yes, she's the best Killer perkless. Stealth isn't a very appreciated strategy - and even with someone who is good at it, it can be hard against Killer players with experience and headphones - even sans perks.

It's still a danger, but I stand by saying an expert Nurse who is perkless is in a better spot than an expert Spirit who is perkless (again, assuming stuff like her 'can't attack after blinking' bug or blink dead zones won't interfere).

  • Nurse in good hands is always the best Killer; assuming no bugs or blink dead zones get in her way - which is an assumption you can't reliably make anymore.

Spirit is second best; the only way for a Survivor to combat good headphones, even if you aren't using Stridor, is to stand still while Injured with Iron Will. Otherwise you can just hear them walking, running, moaning, or breathing.

Then, in no particular order, are Blight, Freddy, Oni, Huntress, Hillbilly, and Hag. Their powers are all incredibly strong in good hands, but they can still lose against a team equally competent Survivors.

And of course, without any perks to help them these Killers can all absolutely be genrushed - Nurse, in particular, is susceptible to stealth because of how slow she is. Without any tracking perks she can spend an entire game just looking for people.

    -

So IMO, Nurse best, assuming no bugs, and Spirit second, or best if the chance of game breaking bugs is a deal breaker.

"The problem is that cleansing totems with Ruin and Undying gives the Killer free pressure because you're not doing gens while they're chasing your teammates."

Those are your exact words. Since survivors are "wasting time" on totems, the killer is getting free pressure according to those words. The totems are only an issue because as you said, they used half their build on R+U. That time wasting came at a cost of 2 perk slots, hence it is not free. The whole point of the build is to waste time by forcing cleansing or by regression when getting pushed off of gens.

That's the Survivor giving the Killer free pressure by not managing their time efficiently, not the perks giving the Killer free value.

Like if a Survivor just loops around and dies at a hooked Survivor; you'd say they're giving the Killer free pressure with their poor choice of a loop. But you wouldn't say of that scenario that the Killer gets free pressure from downing a Survivor - they had to work at downing them, it wasn't free.

Same thing here. The Survivor is making a mistake they don't need to make by focusing on totem to cleanse a Hex that will take a least two cleansing actions to get rid of - that's them giving free pressure to the Killer.

I definitely could have worded that more clearly though, that's on me.

  • @Stealth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1779397#Comment_1779397

Exactly this. They need to just add text chat and more auras for survivors and rebalance the game from there. That emulates the info survivors in discord have with all the extra info they can share.

Won't happen though because that doesn't generate $$$ for the work involved.

Yes, even just giving a chase indicator and number of times hooked for each Survivor on the status HUD would go a LONG way to improving things.

  • @Stealth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1779390#Comment_1779390

In your 1st paragraph you say R+U gives the killer free pressure because you are doing totems and not gens while your mate gets chased. Killer spent 2 perk slots for that so it's not free. Once cleansed, the killer has 2 perks.

No I said, it's a waste of a Survivor's time to cleanse totems when dealing with Ruin and Undying.

Nowhere did I say that Ruin and Undying gives anything to the Killer player for free.

The perks come at the cost of half your build and not only can be played around, but require you, as the Killer, to be able to pressure Survivors.

  • I'd be down - if only because the mental image of Scoops Ahoy Steve playing a banjo is hilarious - but it sounds like a pretty difficult thing to ask from BHVR.

It'd basically be an entirely new game on top of their current one - and they wouldn't be paid anything extra for this feature (unless they aggressive monetize some of it's features, which I couldn't see them doing).

As fun as it'd be, I just don't see it happening; ever.

  • I'd slug them.

They get to stay in a game, that they might win, longer and I hopefully force teammates off gens to help them as I start snowballing (provided I'm any good - which I'm not). Win-win.

If they're the only person I can find I'll probably just ignore them if they got like farmed or are clearly struggling. If they're full health and/or seem okay, I'll tunnel them.

  • No one perk is ever going to counter hook camping. Some people just want to ruin the fun of other people.

I think having a Killer be near your hook, for any reason, should reward you with bloodpoints and black pip progress (not pip up progress) for as long as the Killer stays in proximity to award players for 'distracting' the Killer.

The Killer player loses absolutely nothing from this if Survivors encourage them to camp by swarming a hook, and Survivors who are camped are incentivized to struggle as long as possible against a legit facecamper while their teammates do gens.

  • I'm not gonna say Spirit does or does not need a nerf, but how about we focus more on addressing the huge power disparity between SWF and solo queue before we go around nerfing any Killer?

I don't think she needs to be weakened when there are basically two levels of play that any Killer goes up against; one that can combat Spirit and the other that can't. We should bring those two groups together and then adjust her, or potentially don't adjust her, accordingly.

  • I didn't say it was free pressure for the Killer.

The whole point of using Ruin and Undying is to help slow down the rate at which generators get done. If someone's cleansing totems, they're not doing gens and the perks are helping you.

  • I can brush off anything besides killing yourself on hook and/or DC'ing right after the start.

You're not giving yourself a chance to play the game and you're also ruining the game for everyone else.

  • @HellDescent said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1779263#Comment_1779263

So it's 3v1 for the first few minutes. After that killer is left with 2 perks or less for the rest of the game. If they want to come after me while I'm doing bones they are more then welcome. It means my teammates are free to do gens and killer's ruin and undying is useless for the next few minutes. I always play solo and knowing survivors I play with at least 2 of them jump on the gen as soon as the game starts. So no you don't need coordination to do all of the totems. On top of that there is no better feeling then cleansing all totems and then watching killer go " Dur..my noed no work...dur"

If you think the game being a 3v1 isn't a huge advantage for Killer, I don't know what to tell you.

Also I never said coordination was needed to do totems, you're confusing me with someone else.

I said that doing totems when you could instead be pressuring a gen is a waste of time. And you're agreeing with me by explaining your totem strategy with two teammates on separate gens.

In the scenario you describe, 'I know at least two teammates are on gens', the pressure on the Killer is coming from your teammates. Not you.

And you're better off joining them in pressuring generators. Especially since you can loop the Killer for minutes, as you don't need to worry about getting chased off your gen and downed quickly.

If the Killer commits to chasing you your teammates will just slam multiple gens during your chase and, if the Killer doesn't chase or commit to chasing you, in those 2-3 minutes it would have taken you to locate and cleanse totems you'll solo something like 2 and a half gens.

Assuming those two other teammates commit to their gens and that the Killer can only pressure one of them, they'll get at least one gen, maybe more.

That's 3.5-4.5 gens done because you and two of your 3 teammates did the Objective, instead of maybe 2 gens and as many totems as the Killer lets you get because you focused on the side Objective.

Ruin and Undying are just as worthless both ways, but the way where you commit to separate gens with your team will go faster and give the Killer less chances to snowball.

  • @HellDescent said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1779208#Comment_1779208

    What is it then?

Edit: and if it's not worth it people should not be complaining

The problem is that cleansing totems with Ruin and Undying gives the Killer free pressure because you're not doing gens while they're chasing your teammates.

That's assuming the Killer let's you do totems because they don't have mobility or because they don't care - remember that they can see auras everytime someone comes near any totem. If they interrupt you, because they do have mobility and care about defending totems, you literally just wasted time - you'd have been better off Self-Caring in a corner because you'd at least get points.

The best thing you can to cleanse the totems is find both Hexes first and then cleanse one and then the other. That's still forcing you to spend a ton of time searching for totems though and potentially have you cleanse three Hexes to remove one effect.

Yea, it's not a gigantic deal on Killers without mobility or a power that can quickly end chases; but against a decently good mobility Killer you'll basically just lose if you cleanse totems.

The real counter to Undying is counter to what Survivors expect it to be - what they need to do is to ignore totems and split up on gens. Even Nurse and Blight can't be in multiple places at once; 3 simultaneous Tinkerer activations is the way to beat the build.

The issue with this is that the only people capable of this kind of coordination are SWF.

A solo queue Survivor - even if they understand all the above - can't control their teammates. They can't stop Nancy from cleansing dull totems and Self-Caring. Or Bill from pre-throwing God Pallet and then getting mindgamed while it's still up. Or Felix from getting downed right in front of a 70% gen.

If even ONE of their four teammates plays like that, it gives the Killer a big advantage - and all four of the Survivors can be like that, each wondering what the heck is going on.

Undying and Ruin aren't oppressive in and of themselves, but they contribute to pre-existing scenarios that were already a little busted. They're that last straw, not the entire weight.

  • I prioritize the best add-ons as Killer, your Stolen Sketchbooks, Chewed Pens, Flower Babushkas, Flasks of Bleach, Rat Livers, Video Tapes, and Burning Man Paintings.

Then I go for perks. If I don't have BBQ, Enduring, or Whispers I prioritize Tier 1 perks. If I do get them, I prioritize Tier 2s, then Tier 3s, and etc.

As Survivor I only go for perks unless I'm levelling Nea - as her I have all perks, so I go after Offerings that I don't have a lot of, add-ons that I could do with more of, etc.

Don't bump, it's against the forum rules and can get the thread closed. Trust me, I was on the console issues megathread a while back; bumping does not help.

That said, Plague does desperately need some love. I've said this before, but her cosmetics are all just variations of original.

    Untitled Image

This isn't really that different from this.

    Untitled Image

And while yes, there are limitations if you have to stay close to her power of vomiting on people, but you could still do a lot more than repeat variations of "scantily clad and disfigured by disease ancient priestess brandishing a censer".

Give her a cosmetic that makes her look like a giant snakeperson - like she's spitting 'venom' at Survivors. Her weapon could be a smaller snake coiled around her arm.

She could be a ghost; sorta tansparent - letting you see her skeleton through her outfit and skin - and spewing 'ectoplasm' on everything while she attacks people with her own skull.

You could give her an ancient fallen warrior look; like all battered and beaten up - attacking with the broken remains of a morningstar.

Vomiting doesn't make sense for that one? Who cares!? Sea Zombie Trapper can still use Bear Traps, Puppet Clown still chucks bottles, and Frozen Plant Hag can still make magic mud replicas of herself.

Cosmetics should look cool first, and maybe make sense later.

Only 15 seconds actually. Not enough time to play around the cooldown really.

Also the cooldown only effects her self teleport; not ones that get triggered.

So if you trigger the trap she can jump to it even if she just manually teleported somewhere.

  • Different names in the lobby as a Survivor, different power objects as Killer (i.e. different look for Traps, chainsaws, Hatchets, Kanabos, Fountains, etc.), and different voice acting for both.

Legendary Skins are different characters, if I'm gonna pay 15 dollars for a single outfit that I can't mix and match I want to feel like I'm playing a different character.

Not like I'm playing Heather but she's cosplaying. Or Oni but his hands are a little different. A different character.

As is the Legendary Skins are just glorified outfits.

  • Excuse me, Quentin is easily best boi.

    1. He trapped himself and his Chapter's Killer in the Entity's Realm to keep Nancy Holbrook safe.

    2. Benedict Baker thought he'd be the Survivor most likely to find a way to actually Escape the Entity.

    3. He gets hit by Freddy time and time again in NOES and keeps getting back up.

    4. He wears a beanie.

    5. He adorably starts to nod off in the main menu before jerking awake.

    6. He owns a beanie.

    7. When he finally gets cosmetics he'll have a speedo.

    8. Did I mention he has a beanie?

    9. His dad is Clancy Brown.

    10. Don't forget about the beanie.

    11. Is played less than almost every other Survivor; everyone knows that scarcity increases value.

    12. Seriously the beanie is important; beanie = power.

    13. His P3 outfit is REALLY bloody; one of the best, if not the best Prestige outfits.

Also Ace's perks all suck. Even Quentin's trash perks are better.

I agree that it helps to talk about issues civilly. After all you do want to be reasonable and not appear to be shouting to the heavens, but I think a lot of frustration also stems from the fact that so many of our requests seem to fall on deaf ears. For years the DBD community has asked for things like console optimization (which they said would happen), quality matchmaking, and a practice mode, yet none of these things have happened. DBD mobile has a practice mode for crying out loud, so why can't the main game?

Agreed; people have wanted rank rewards and colorblind settings since the game launched; 4+ years later and we're no closer to either.

It's frustrating as all heck to apparently just be ignored, I know from experience as a console player, but being rude doesn't lend strength to your position.

  • @M4dBoOmr said:

why would it be a problem to activate the Christmas lobby and hooks?

To be fair to BHVR, it's not as easy as that.

DbD has undergone an engine change, they've updated locker models, and they've added new hook models for new maps.

They'd have to tweak a lot to do something as 'simple' as just swapping them out for default hooks and old lockers wrapped in lights. Even assuming those assets are still available to them.

That said, doing nothing but login rewards (which is nice to get, but not very fun or exciting) for the holidays is definitely a huge step down and very disappointing.

  • Fun is subjective; what you're not enjoying may not be a problem for other people.

However, that doesn't mean your problem isn't a problem, or your concerns aren't valid. If you have an issue with the game you should talk about it, civilly, if you want to see it fixed.

Just saying DbD isn't fun won't change anything.

    -

Now if you're just frustrated with the game overall you should take a break - it's not fun for you right now so quit playing it.

Maybe you'll want to play it again later, maybe not. But continuing to play while you're unhappy probably isn't going to help you.

  • @Eleghost said:

That would be exploited like crazy. Most red ranks i've played with and against have been really bad. Rank means nothing because reset doesn't really reset much other than 1 color rank. So yea time factors in a little bit, but honestly its easier to safety pip than depip anymore. Even in red rank.

How would a separate matchmaking system for people in Ranks 20 - 17, so that they can't face Red Ranks, be exploitable? I feel like we're talking about different things.

  • @Eleghost said:

Does rank really matter? I've had so many red rank survivors do next to nothing and have had rank 17-18 do a ton. Rank isn't really a thing i'm super concerned about in anyway. If I had someone ask it in the pre-game lobby i would probably not really answer or give a joke answer.

I mean, Rank is definitely more of an indicator at how often you play/achieve the game's pipping requirements than of actual skill. Not every Rank 1 is a demigod, not every Rank 10 is a blind goober.

But at the same time, you're not really going to get that many actual Rank 20s who are really experienced and amazing players coming back from long breaks. It'd be nice if the game at least had separate matchmaking specifically for people who are so low Rank that they can't depip, instead of just letting them verse Red Ranks running meta builds.

  • No, because BHVR would actually have to give the legendary skins new voices, and that's probably not going to happen.

I mean, unless they're actually going to follow through on giving Lisa Garland a different lobby name and voice acting but just haven't gotten around to that yet.

  • Sound is always bugged, but Clueless is right: record it and submit it to the devs next chance you get. It may not seem like much, but information for them on when and how bugs occur can help them fix it.

  • I mean I'm personally not that big a fan, but I don't think any cosmetic is worth losing sleep over.

IMO the Rift should be a fun bonus for playing the game, not the reason to play.

Obviously I can't force anyone to do anything; so play how you want. That's just my two cents.

  • If you play enough of both sides/are willing to pay to complete definitely.

My advice? Don't worry about it.

Don't let the stupid charms and cosmetics on the Rift be your reason to play DbD. There's nothing on any Rift really worth stressing over, just play the game and have fun.

  • I mean, I'm not going to bring an Ebony Mori on Nurse, Spirit, or Freddy and tunnel someone out of the game ASAP for the preeeeeecioussssss 4k. *Gollum!* *Gollum!*

But I'm also going to play how I want to play.

If I can see all 3 other Survivors waiting to save and I feel like breaking out some s'mores, I will.

If I want to run Ruin and Undying, I will.

If I want to bring an Ebony Mori, I will.

If I want to slug for the 4k, I hella will.

Generally I don't do any of the above; I tend to let the last person go, avoid killing anyone if there is an early DC(s), avoid tunnelling even if I can see there's no Obsession, play in a goofy way or with a goofy strategy for giggles, and run stupid memey perks that Survivors have probably forgotten exist because they're so used to Corrupt, Pop, Ruin, Undying, and BBQ.

BUT I do that because I want to do that; not because I want to be told "gee willikers, you're such a nice killer" or "thanks bro, like gg my dude".

Don't get me wrong, I'm all too pleased if the other 4 people playing get to have fun too - and I try not to do anything to another player that I'd hate to have a Killer do to me.

But in my experience people are as like to call me a stupid little [BAD WORD] as they are to say thanks when I give them Hatch or do whatever.

So there's no point sabotaging my own fun trying to please people I don't know and can't control.

    -

If that means I'm a monarch of sweat, I'm cool with that.

  • Let's be honest, if BHVR added a chat wheel for Survivor it would break Trapper's power, cause the game to crash on Switch, and have Urban Evasion's speed boost apply to sprinting.

I wish I was joking, but you know I'm not.

    -

That aside, the idea of a solo Survivor chat wheel designed to help simulate the power of communication that a SWF on comms have doesn't seem like an issue to me.

I mean, assuming of course that Killers get buffs to compensate.

  • It really depends a lot on the Killer and the map, but Enduring is almost always helpful; even if you don't get stunned a lot it helps by encouraging to not respect pallets.

  • No more being forced to swing blindly because the screen froze, yay!

  • @Ryan489x said:

I didn't even find bloodlust that helpful anyway I won't miss it.

But wait isn't one of the huntresses perks based around it?

Yes, Beast of Prey activates when Bloodlust activates, but it's a terrible perk like all of her perks.

I still run it for funsies on stealth Killers though, so this is sad news to me. Hopefully they use this as an opportunity to buff it.

  • @Yords said:

I didn't read the part where someone had stepped in the trap my bad. I am pretty sure survivors in a trap lose collision for a short time. If not then I am clueless.

    It's this.

I know because I was in a situation where a Trapper trapped the Game bathroom. One Survivor stepped in the Trap and the other two ran through them to safety.

It's like how hitting a Survivor briefly removes their and your collision, so that people can't get bodyblocked to death by two M1s.

  • So that the game can end in less than 5 minutes if you didn't bring Whispers.

Let me say that again, he has an add-on that inflicts Hemorrhage on Survivors who are Tormented.

    It's a Very Rare add-on too.

He has some decent add-ons yes, but he also has plenty of really bad ones.

    -

If you doubt me, I will gladly go in depth.

    -Pointless/basically pointless

    • All 3 of the recharge add-ons are pointless because he can use POTD without a a full charge of Rites of Judgement. He only needs a sliver and he can use POTD. Now you may think these could be useful if you're setting trails midchase - they're not. If you really want to, you put bits of trail at pallets and choke points, not long lines, because while drawing trails you become a 110% Killer and even slower after you stop drawing a trail. His cages and mini-mori can be really strong; but being able to quickly down Survivors with POTD is even stronger. You want to end your chases as quick as possible; not waste tons of your own time setting long trails midchase just so you can maybe apply Torment. The best time to set trails is outside chase; like a pseudo-trap Killer, and to that end the trail duration add-ons are infinitely superior.
    • All 3 of the Rites of Judgement duration (the power duration, not the duration of the trails) are worthless; for the same exact reason the recharge add-ons are. You don't need a full charge to use POTD and the trail duration add-ons are much better for setting trails in areas to get Survivors afflicted with Torment.
    • Crimson Ceremony Book - the Hemorrhage add-on mentioned earlier - is totally pointless. Even if Hemorrhage wasn't a bad status effect to begin with, Survivors afflicted with Torment already leave barbed wire trails behind them that act far better for tracking their movements. You also get Killer Instinct notifications whenever they step on a trail that show you where they're going. There's no reason to use an add-on to do something that your basekit power already does better. And there's still the issue of applying Torment; you do have a set of add-on that help, but this is not one of them.
    • Lost Memories Book is only good if you're setting trails around hooks in order to deny BT - and you already have a multi-hit power AND a way to tunnel people with your basekit power to assist you with proxy-camping. Denying BT isn't totally worthless, but it takes set up time that will only pay off if you continue to hang by the hook. Any other time, it's pointless since you'll generally be chasing Survivors that step in trails and since Oblivious doesn't hide your Red Light, the lack of a Terror Radius isn't going to effect them. You may think, "Well you can fake leaving the chase and catch them off-guard," but no, the effects only persist for 15 seconds after the Survivors stops stepping on the trails. That's barely enough time for the chase music to end, assuming you immediately leave them after they step on a trail. And again, you still need to be able to apply Torment to take advantage of this effect.
    • Rust Colored Egg applies Blindness, which is worthless. Even if the Survivor has OoO, you're still probably not going to getting them Tormented unless you're chasing them than leaving to hope you find someone else and try to utilize the 60 seconds of time in which they can't relay your exact position and actions to their teammates. And like the book add-ons, there's still the issue of applying Torment in the first place. This add-on is not going to help you do that.
    • Obsidian Goblet is a slower than Tier 1 version of Insidious. Your Terror Radius takes a LONG time to fully stop, and any benefit you might get from walking on the trail is offset by it's inability to go past hooks or gens. There's no point to using this outside of camping or as a worse Beast of Prey, and Insidious still does the job better.

    -Not super useful

    • Iridescent Seal of Metatron is, or was, useful almost solely for being able to tunnel due to a bug where it shows the Survivor that you cage. Otherwise it suffers from anti-synergy with itself. You need a lot of Survivors to be Tormented to use this effectively, but if you use this to cage someone you give Survivors the only way to clear their Torment. This is in addition to the problem that cages aren't much better for you than hooks unless you know where a nearby Survivor is or you're afraid of a pallet or DS stun. Again, Torment can still be an issue to apply and this add-on does not make it easier.
    • The 3 Killer Instinct add-ons are not totally pointless, but they just don't provide enough of a benefit by themselves to warrant running them. Killer Instinct is already basekit so that you can see where Survivors go after stepping in a trail, it lasting longer generally isn't going to help outside of chase unless you're actively occupied and can't look immediately. And if you're actively occupied, you're better off doing whatever it is you're doing instead of leaving to take advantage of the Killer Instinct trail. It can help with mindgames at high wall loops, but it's not an aura and is only going to give a general indication of where the Survivor is. It's better than nothing, but not by much.

All told that's fully half of his add-ons that aren't worth using, and just a quarter that help him (slightly less than that, if you account for the fact that the 'Slightly increases' for range and trail duration are just worse versions of add-ons you will have in abundance if you put points into Pyramid Head).

she has mastered shadow clone ninjutsu, she just can't use it on herself.

She can, but she wants to leave the Survivors a chance.

Same reason she slow jogs everywhere and constantly hums.

Who cares? Some characters sexualities aren't even confirmed but there is no reason to fantasize and complain about the possibility of there being or not being an LGBT character in the game. If they do forcefully crank out characters that only focus on them being horny at the same gender just for the sake of wokeness it would be very cringe

OP cares and you clearly care, because you bothered commenting.

There are already a number of characters with mentioned relationships, but all of them are heterosexual. People mentioned this to the devs and the devs said they wanted to do something about it.

Nobody wants the devs to start making porn or draw rainbows all over the maps or whatever you're worried about.

They just want them to mention a male character's boyfriend/husband or a female character's girlfriend/wife in their lore, instead of making every mentioned romantic relationship in the lore a heterosexual one.

OMG WHY THE ACCTUAL ######### DOES THIS MATTER? ITS A GOD DAMN HORROR GAME, A "HORROR GAME" I get it representaition is important but come the ######### on its a mother ######### horror game

It matters to the people who care, because the devs said they would add LGBT characters since they've already added, and continue to add, heterosexual characters to the game.

If you don't care and it doesn't matter to you, why bother commenting? Let people who do care talk about it and go talk about something else.

  • It's already in the game, the Nurse had a husband, David had a girlfriend, Julie and Frank are a couple.

People just asked BHVR to include relationships that aren't heterosexual ones, and they agreed to.

Don't worry, nobody wants to shove gay erotica into your horror game; they just want the devs to follow through with what they said they'd do and make/add characters that are something besides heterosexual.

It would be kinda funny if huntress hatches would just stick to the survivor

Yes please, as long as they disappear when hooked.

That said, I'm dying just imagining Dwight running around with like 6 Hatchets sticking out of his back.

What if Jane is just a Huntress' hatchet in disguise?

This is the canon explanation for how Head On works.

  • Change Huntress' footstep SFX when wearing cosmetics that give her shoes/boots.

This sounds like a healthy attitude towards this topic.

people who are asking for LGBT+ inclusion mostly want LGBT+ topics managed just like heterosexual relationships have been mentioned before, doesn’t need to be a hard confirmation.

Yea, just mention, in passing, about a same sex significant other.

I mean, David's lore wouldn't have changed much if they'd given his ex male pronouns. It's literally just one less letter and they'd have done a great deal to make people happy and stop being heteronormative with their lore.

And would Felix's lore have really changed so much if it'd been him and his boyfriend deciding to adopt? You'd need to change more than one letter, but it's not like you can't tell the same story about a new father wanting to be there for their child like their dad couldn't.

Just switch up the fricking pronouns the next time they bring up a significant other in someone's lore and they'd be good. Promise kept.
