I don’t think a one time focus would accomplish anything in the overall scheme.
put more resources into QA in general, where possible implement test-automation for regression tests and plan in more time for bug fixing. Not just for one chapter but generally. If that means only 3 instead of 4 chapters then I am okay with it.
This.
They need to strike a better balance than they have currently.
To that end 3 chapters would be much better than 4, if it means they can actually catch and fix stuff like Blight's POV or Twin's locker weakness before the chapters release.

I have fun as Huntress on PS4, but that's because I try not to give any [BAD WORDS] about missing, being taunted, or getting 'friend' request spam afterwards.
DbD is game, so I just relax and have fun with it.
I like to think it helps my aim.

I crave a creepy morgue map.
At the very least I want more indoor maps, they're always amazing visually.
-
I refuse to believe it was an intentional design choice.
They probably just coded Victor to be killable after lunges and didn't think about it applying to successful hits.
Afterwards they decided to just not mess with it unless it made The Twins too weak.

Both of them are some of the oldest perks in the game and have only had quality of life changes, staying virtually untouched in over 4.5 years.
They're not crazy good, they're not crazy bad and they happen to have synergy together, but are still fine by themselves. They're just generally useful and I'd argue they have always been some of the most balanced perks in the game. Nothing else in this game really has that distinction.
I wouldn't say nothing; Whispers is the Killer equivalent of Spine Chill.
They're both incredibly versatile and strong information, yet still simple, perks that rely on the user's map knowledge and spatial awareness to be used to their best potential.
They can also both lead to wasted time if you don't use them with care - like Killers checking and rechecking every inch of an area with Whispers active or Survivors crouching away into a corner as soon as Spine Chill lights up.

That's true. And yeah it's a problem PvP games have had since the dawn of time and will probably have when they end. We can always hope though right?
Yea.
And overall, BHVR does do a pretty good job balancing (IMO).
It's just that, like, they'll still make the most obvious mistakes. Like the original Mother's Helpers, or thinking OoO is fine, or giving Victor zero way to counter Lockers.
I get that people make mistakes, and that the devs are not all going to be or want to be masters of their own game - but it's disheartening to see them repeatedly make mistakes they could have avoided making.
-
It's the only teachable perk I refuse to unlock.
It's almost always worthless and usually even detrimental (that pallet they would have dropped as they went down? It's still up now. Thanks Blood Favor).
It doesn't even help stop pallets saves because you can't control when it triggers thanks to it's dumb cooldown.
IMO, it's absolute garbage.

I'd argue it has a lower survival rate because of the perceived need on the killers part to tunnel or get destroyed. I think better metrics for measuring how strong it is is to see the entire teams survival rate with x amount of OoO's. If only 1 person is dying and it's the OoO that makes plenty of sense and still backs up the narrative that it's incredibly OP. If the entire team is dead... then it is a perceived issue but I think we all know it's not....
That could still be problematic too.
What if the number of adept Lauries with baby teams is greater than the number of SWFs on comms? And those SWFs with OoO don't have a 100% Escape rate.
Again, OoO would look like it wasn't a problem - I mean, everyone died the majority of games, so clearly OoO is still a perception problem, right?
This is the reason they need to talk to their Fog Whisperers about balance decisions.
Obviously don't treat their word like gospel, but, like, they have people that they can talk to with thousands of hours of experience with both the community and the game at high levels of play.
But, for some reason, instead of talking to them, they just ignore them.
Like, why!? You have resources available to you BHVR! Use them, please.

That's simply unfair. If anything she needs some changes to escape that dreadful cycle.
It's sort of the same thing as what happened to Adam - he didn't have any unique or visually interesting cosmetics, so nobody played him.
Now that he has a decent amount of skins, he's still rare but like, you actually see people playing him.
Plague needs love too.
Not just cosmetics though; her power makes it hard to rank up and can feel really sluggish and unpleasant to use. It's also RNG dependent now, because - as cool as her getting a basekit corrupted pool is - her corrupted pool spawns in some Entityforsaken corner of the map as often as it does anywhere near a generator.
As strong as her power can be, having to wander away from everything kills her pressure and wastes the one thing Killers never have enough of: time.
It can turn her power into a potential lose-lose, just like with Trapper.
And I get the devs are fixing like 7 other Killers right now and are busy making outfits for Meg, Claudette, Elodie, Felix, Feng, etc., but it'd be reassuring to know they're at least aware of Adiris' existence and will take a look at her some time.
As is, she's probably just going to be played less and less over time - not more.

Why was rift extended by a week.... thats an extra week of waiting before the next tome comes out.... honestly it's really bad for all the players that finished it a month ago already and instead of rewarding hard work you're just punishing it...
Not being rewarding isn't the same as being punished.
If you already completed the Rift, then you've already gotten the rewards it offered. Other people are just getting an opportunity to earn what you have already - you're not missing out on or losing anything.
-
I find it funny because the animation makes absolutely no sense in the context of the situation.
I mean, Victor is on their back and he's not even trying to do anything to their head.
-
Clown.
-
Hag and Twins aren't very fun because of their limiting playstyles (i.e. camp a certain area of the map, and slug everyone, respectively) but at least there's still some interesting gameplay there. I may not like it personally, but there is interactivity and technique there.
But Clown? Clown is just boring.
For the unaware, in a nutshell, Clown's power is that you throw bottles at stationary objects to make the Survivor either camp a pallet or get hit.
And there's just no interactivity there; the only person whose skill matters is the Clown player - and all you have to do is throw a bottle at the nearest immobile structure. It's not like the loop is going to dodge, or the Survivor is going to not run to a loop.
There's nearly no difference between a bad Clown playing against new Survivors, or a great Clown playing against experienced Survivors.
I mean, you can learn the timing of the intoxicated duration to get more slow vaults or throw bottles at stuff above loops to make the gas expand over the entire thing, but that's not much to distance your skill ceiling from your skill floor.
That's why I hate him as Survivor too, the game just becomes about whether the person being chased uses pallets or not, and if they do - will their teammates do the gens before they run out of pallets. It's a guaranteed at least 2 Escape if your teammates just hold M1 and don't 3 gen.
And holding M1 doesn't take skill. A kitchen timer can count to 80 seconds.
Even if Clown were stronger and could get more Kills, he'd still suck.
Just look at Freddy; he's not only a better Clown, but he does other stuff too and he's still not fun. I mean, the only reasons anyone really plays him are to win, they have daily, or because they're NOES fans.
So yea.
Clown is easily the worst IMO.

With the Twins? Patience.
Victor is a speed demon, don't worry about not instantly pouncing since you can regain lost distance really quickly.
Just fake the pounce a couple times to see what the Survivor does and when you get a feel for what they're trying to do/get right up on top of them you pounce.
Like Huntress, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, and Blight I'm sure that it's something you get better at with practice too. Don't beat yourself up or get frustrated for messing up - it's part of the process.
-
I've been having crazy lag issues too. EST and NA servers too.
I don't think it's on my end because I'm fine with everything but DBD and my internet speed seems fine when I check it, but there's still the possibility it's just my end and not the server.

What? Fat shaming and map issues are two different things. What even is this post? 😂
Fat shaming - as it pertains to DbD - is when an obstacle blocks a Killer, but not a Survivor.
This can create situations where a Survivor can waste a lot of extra time, or even be uncatchable - depending on where map RNG places the obstacle.
The problem is absolutely related to map design, because obstacles shouldn't be allowed to spawn in places where they create fat shames.
-
The entire map is just the middle section of Grim Pantry - the variation where it's all just tall reeds.
But, like, 50 of those tiles. All in a big square.

Because I dont want to add LGBT characters for no reason other than them being LBGT its dumb, personally I hate the idea of exploring what characters like what straight or not I don't play DBD to want to know who Dwight wants to fook.
Who said the LGBT characters are just going to be LGBT? They can make cool, fleshed out characters that are also LGBT.
Also, if you hate the idea of characters' sexuality being explored I'm sure you're already upset at the devs right? On account of the many heterosexual relationships in the game?
Or you're not angry because you don't read the lore. So adding an LGBT character won't bother you, because you won't have to read their lore either.
-
Nurse is not balanced.
As much as I'm all for stealth being better rewarded and encouraged, "just never get found," isn't reasonable counterplay to a Killer. Neither is, "hope she gets bugged/messes up and doesn't down you in seconds."
I'm not saying Nurse deserves nerfs, but she is not balanced. I don't think a character capable of moving at 333% speed through walls, windows, pallets, and nearly any obstacle to attack Survivors could ever be balanced.
There is also plenty to complain about the Nurse besides fatigue, because she's bugged to heck. Last I checked there's still an entire hallway in Midwich where she just can't Blink, she can still randomly get a 1-2 second delay after Blinking where she can't attack, and she can still be suddenly unable to charge up her second Blink.

Firstly, its important to note that while this seems like a reasonable argument, trying to say 'we shouldn't have bad representation' what it actually does is create an artificially inflated standard on LGBTQ+ characters.
Specifically, a LGBTQ+ character should be able to fill every role a straight, cis character does, and implying that you need to meet certain qualifications to be a 'good' LGBTQ+ character itself is part of the problem: Your trying to force people to justify the existence of queer characters. So lets drop pretense.
You wouldn't bat an eye if a male character mentioned that they had a wife in a story. But if that same male character said they had a husband, you would apply different expectations to the inclusion of that character in attempt to declare that they are 'pandering' or 'forced in' or whatever. Even if they are exclusively there to be a male straight character in a relationship. Like "The Hillbilly's Mom and Dad" are explicit characters in DBD, who SOLELY exist to be a heterosexual couple who abused their child, but no one is saying they are arbitrarily forcing romance into the game. Likewise, Nea isn't Sweedish just to force 'a token Sweed,' despite the fact that Nea being Sweedish has NO impact on the game and is something you would never learn through pure gameplay because it exists entirely in the backstory, its because it would be weird if The Entity was capturing killers from all over the world and across time from all walks of life but mysteriously was only nabbing white American survivors.
In essence, your assuming straight and cis is 'default' or 'regular' or 'normal' (In fact, you pretty much said the quiet part out loud there) which is the entire problem: Because you view straight and cis as 'default' any deviation needs to be justified, that queer people are only allowed to exist 'for a reason' because otherwise you made someone 'not normal' for 'no reason.' When that reason can be as simple as 'queer people exist.'
Gay characters can be as one dimensional as straight characters, they can be as dynamic as straight characters. Their relationship can be all their character is about, just like many straight characters in stories, or it could just be one facet of who they are. All of those should be good and shouldn't result in any increased burden on the creators to justify it. Sometimes people are just gay, or bi, or trans, or nonbinary. Stories can be about the unique issues we face, because in many aspects of our lives our identities can be extremely important to our experiences, or those can be incidental because in many aspects of our lives that identity is incidental. So it isn't even that 'the character doesn't have to JUST be about their sexuality as a flat character' but 'Gay people should be able to be any type of character. Not every character in a story is a dimensional character, in fact most characters in a well written story are flat and non-dynamic, why can't some be gay?' And why can't some dynamic leads be incidentally gay in stories not about being gay?
As to why people specifically want an EXPLICITLY LGBTQ+ character?
Because 'assuming anyone could be gay' isn't equal representation. It is, again, a pretend way to say 'we already have it' when we clearly don't, because characters are confirmed straight all the time. Again, you just internalized it as 'default' so much you can't see how stuff like 'The nurse had a husband' is confirming her to be straight (or at least presents straight, I mean she is from somewhere around WW1/WW2, one could argue she had to marry a man to survive, but its implied her marriage was happy), meaning that its acceptable to reveal the sexuality of characters...
...As long as they are straight.
And yes, these reveals are advancing the story of these characters because your love life informs a lot about you, so they aren't JUST revealing that they are straight, but there is little reason you couldn't do the same for LGBTQ+ characters. It isn't that Nurse should be a Lesbian from the 1920s (It would be hard to make that not the case without seriously altering her background, and it would play into some truly horrific tropes to have the first gay character be a killer driven to madness by the tragedy of being gay), It isn't just that the new survivor had a boyfriend or whatever, maybe their boyfriend got kidnapped by the entity too. Or maybe they got lost on a mountain and they were part of a rescue party and got nabbed. Or any number of potential stories that include people who aren't straight.
If its a worry the character will be one dimensional, they could always make an existing character gay just as part of one of the background bits. Would Meg suddenly become a 'token character' if it was revealed she was into girls, despite all this interesting stuff we know about her like how she is both absurdly driven but at the same time gave up what she was driven about to take care of someone she cared about? Obviously not. So why worry a new character who is gay would 'just' be gay? That is a silly thing to assume and is pretty clearly trying to reduce a reasonable request to a ridiculous one by pretending that what people asked for ("a character who is LGBTQ+") is actually something different and unreasonable ("I want a character who's entire identity is their gay identity").
Also, to be clear, some people do live their life very openly queer and make it visible and a huge part of their identity. And most of those people are ######### awesome people because they chose to do that to make other people safer and to normalize being queer or not conforming to gender expectations that hurt real world people, as well as to create non-traditionally masculine/feminine role models for people who might not have them, or to visibly show them that queer people exist and they aren't alone and that being out is a thing you CAN be. The IRL queer equivalent of being willing to loop the killer to protect green rank baby queers trying to figure themselves out. So if your implying someone with dyed hair and a rainbow pin or whatever is 'making being gay their entire personality' you missed the point. Some LGBTQ+ people wanna be unassuming gen jockeys because it empowers their community, others wanna be loud and proud because it protects their community. Both are freaking rad and no human being has to earn your respect for who they are if who they are has absolutely no bearing on you.
TL;DR: Because straight characters are confirmed all the time and are never questioned for being straight regardless of how 3 dimensional or dynamic a character they are. Any type of character should be possible to confirm for being gay. It isn't just 'oh we don't say explicitly so it could be anyone' because its said explicitly a LOT about straightness.
I wish I could Vote Up twice.

Was testing out Power Struggle in KYF with my friend and I don't know if anyone has tried it yet, but I combined Power Struggle with Flip Flop and it was crazy good.
So basically if you go down in between a pallet and if another survivor is there the killer won't pick you up which gives you time to recover and when the killer does pick you up Flip Flop flips recovery to 50% and you can just throw the pallet down saving yourself.
This is actually really strong for swf teams.
This is assuming you're downed at or near a pallet and that the Killer comes to pick you up - they can just leave you there.
It's strong, but not crazy.

The only reason why I do challenges is for the bloodpoints/tome points(is that what they are called? lol) as i want to get all the perks on all the killers and the grinding is intense haha, also that new legion skin is fancy so its probably the quickest was to get the skin in the rift, especially with someone who cant play everyday.
I think they're called Rift fragments. Or Rift shards. Something like that.
If you're trying to get all the perks on all the Killers I wish you the best of luck - the grind ahead of you is insane; I've been playing since the start of 2018 and I long ago settled for just having all perks on my favorite characters (back them there were a lot less perks to have to unlock too).
As for the skin, it'll come out in the store eventually, so you can still get it if you don't grab it on the Rift.
I stand by what I said though: playing DbD should be fun; not stressful, a chore, or something you feel guilty about.
-
While yes, it sucks that getting 4ks and the other side having fun are usually mutually exclusive it's not your fault.
If you feel bad about playing 'dirty' then don't play 'dirty'. The challenges are meaningless and dumb; don't stress over them. Kills and pips are equally as pointless - who gives a [BAD WORD] if the Survivors do all the gens and Escape? It's not the end of the world.
If you prefer winning, then play as dirty as the rules (the actual rules - like no hacking) of the game allow you to and stop feeling bad about doing what makes you happy. Like yea, don't be a [BAD WORD] to people for no reason, but don't feel bad for having fun playing a game. Go ahead and slug until someone bleeds out if you're feeling it/need to for pressure.
From what you've told me, you weren't intentionally trying to ruin the TTV's day, so you shouldn't feel guilty. She in turn should accept that people aren't going to play the game with her or her viewers' fun in mind and move on too.

Yea, that hit is pprobably mostly the hitbox and hurtbox's fault; you can blame the weird leaning that DbD characters do for making their pill shaped hitbox not line up very well with their actual model.
On a side note, KYFs aren't immune to lag; they can still have weird hits if one of the people playing has internet issues.

Also there's no way the Exhaustion duo and Iridescent Head survive. Deserved or not, it'll be a net nerf for our resident badass Russian lady.
Personally my only real concern is that they don't mess with her basekit, but Hillbilly and Nurse aren't exactly setting my mind at ease there.

didn't they say the killrate went up before the experiment but then went back down to how it usually is?
Yes, they compared the Kill rate the weekend of the Bloodlust experiment to the weekend prior and there was about a 1% difference in Killrate - however they also noticed that the weekend prior had a 1% higher Killrate than the average weekend.
So the anomaly was the weekend before, not the experiment itself.

Farming is almost always going to be hard if you don't alert the Survivors to the fact that you're farming AND convince them to join in.
If you're just playing Hillbilly without killing anyone, you're definitely going to get genrushed because the Survivors have no way to know your intentions.
Even if you do clearly show them you're not a Murderbilly there's no guarantee they'll agree to farm. They're fully within their rights to genrush and leave.
If you want the stupid Chainsaw challenges just play with Speed Limiter; you'll get it eventually.
-
If you want to farm BP without pressure or needing to even hook anyone, I recommend The Legion.
Just Feral Frenzy hit people - you get Deviousness, Hunter, and Brutality out the wazoo.
You can even pip up doing this, depending on your rank, since Mending slows their gen repairs for Gatekeeper and the Frenzy hits count towards Malicious and Chaser.
This isn't a one sided arrangement either - if the Survivor notice you're not keen on actually killing them they can get a ton of Boldness, Altruism, and Survival just by Mending and Healing each other in front of you.
Unlike with basically every other Killer though, you can still farm just as easily if the Survivors don't want to join you in your BP gain party.
Just smack people repeatedly and run around the map listening to your favorite band, or podcast, or audio book or whatever.
If you throw on BBQ, Distressing (experienced Survivors can split up to deny multi-Frenzy hits, hurting your Deviousness gain - Distressing counters this), and a Pudding and hook everyone once you can get around 90k per game basically effortlessly.

Won't not recommend it to new-comers/players as the grind and gameplay experience is bad and if there's a sequel after 100 new Survivors and Killer's worth of DLC has finally died down, the community should be more involved.
Anyone who recommends this game, in it's current state, to a brand new player and lets them play it blind is either a heartless cad or hates that person.
The game has such an absolutely miserable grind (even if you know to get David/Bubba levelled up first for WGLF and BBQ respectively, getting the perks you want unlocked and levelling up the characters you want to play will take forever - this is assuming you're not interested in DLC characters and their perks, if you are interested you'll exponentially increase your progression grind), an unwelcoming community (plenty of people - even streamers and content creators with communities of their own - openly mock new and inexperienced players), no official guides or tutorials on how to play the game decently (the in-game tutorials suck - especially with regards to chases and the unique powers of the Killers), busted matchmaking (as a Red Rank Survivor I played against a legit Rank 20 who didn't know how to kick generators a week ago), and a number of bugs and issues that you aren't warned about anywhere in-game (just imagine you're brand new to the game and pick up and try to play The Legion or The Trapper right now).
I genuinely don't get how people can actually start playing this game in it's current state unless they play with a SWF.
-
I'm kind of in a 'tired of it' phase right now.
Don't get me wrong, still one of my favorite games, the new Ormond is visually amazing, and I had a blast with the new Killer; but just the vast amount of new bugs, combined with the bugs that specifically [BAD WORD] with Huntress, Legion, and Wraith - my three favorite Killers, has killed my excitement.
If I get on DBD again this year, it'll be to try and complete the Rift by playing Survivor with a friend - she seems to still be having fun with DBD - but if I don't finish the Rift I won't stress it.
I mean, 90% of the charms are as boring as they are useless and, IMO, every outfit but Ace's and Nea's suck (and I already have better outfits for both of them). Not much incentive to try and go out of my way to grind Rift tiers.
I might play DBD again later if/when I get into a 'DBD sounds fun' phase again, but I'm not lacking other things to do with my time.

If you have a recording of that game, it might be worthwhile to submit a bug report.
If NOED was up, and you hit and injured Steve, the only thing that I know of that would stop him from going down would be Mettle of Man.
Mettle only works if you're Injured; if Steve was Healthy and didn't have the effect of a Stypic Agent or Borrowed Time, the Exposed hit should have downed him.

I got The Twins with shards.
I meant what I've said before, I'm never giving BHVR another penny until they follow through on console optimization.
I'll play DBD as long as I continue to enjoy it, but I'm not going to pay them anything more for as long as they are (A) not going to follow through on improving their game for my platform, or (B) incapable of following through on improving their game for my platform.

Are we sure this was intentional? This is BHVR we're talking about, they just took away the movement speed during Legion's Frenzy as a bug, maybe nerfing Trapper was another bug too.

I doubt it's intentional. Trapper doesn't lay his traps in wide open areas, he lays them at choke points. They should just bring back sabo traps if they're just trying to make him an M1 killer.
This. It's almost certainly a bug.
That said, the same thing happened with the MacMillan Estate rework - Trapper couldn't put his traps near Exit Gates.
People reported that to the devs, and apparently they either didn't bother to check if the same issue occurred again, or they did check and just forgot to put it under the patch notes' "Known Issues".

This is worse than that time they charged 4 dollars for Adam hair that was literally just like an inch longer than his default.
I thought they changed when GF's slightly cleaner mask was a lower price than it should have been as a Very Rare cosmetic, but I guess not.

Huntress
1. Yeets death from afar.
2. Requires prediction and precision... generally...
3. If I lose a game I know it's my fault, not my Killer being too weak.
Wraith
1. Is adorable.
2. Is best boi.
3. Bing Bong.
Legion
1. Craaaaaaawling in my craaaaaaawl
2. Wahl UH Oooog! *stares at hands like all menacing Killers do, probably*
3. They go fast! *doesn't actually go fast*

So for 150 Bloodwebs you get a very slightly bloodier hat, bloody hair (?), a bloody blade for the weapon, and blood underneath that rope on her left side.
Is that it or am I missing any other bloody spots?

The new Killer hasn't been out for 24 hours and 100% isn't in their final state balance wise.
You can't make any very accurate judgements on them; give it a week after they're actually finished, where people are used to playing as them and against them, and then we can start talking how good, bad, overrated, or underrated they are.
You're free to express your initial opinions on a Killer, but you can't reasonably tell people their own first impressions are wrong; they're first impressions based on a Killer that isn't complete.
