I've agreed with this for ages

Minotaur should have a giant axe

Krampus could have... well idk, but Minotaur axe

Maybe the Survivor turns bluish and shivers when caught in a Trap? Like it's freezing them solid?

That's what I was thinking too but I feel like it would be such a little change that it wouldn't be worth the 15 dollars.

Eh, Survivor noises are half their identity.

Perks can be equipped by anyone, so if you change the character's entire look and give them new voice acting, you're effectively playing a new Survivor.

If they gave them new sounds, adjusted the HUD Survivor pictures, and changed the lobby names (why is Lisa Garland called Cheryl Mason?) to the new character's I think it would go a long way towards selling Legendary outfits as something special.

  • No.

It'd be heck to balance as Killer and probably unfun when you get to use it.

As Survivor it would be unfair as heck to face. Not really OP; just unfair.

    -

Now a Killer that can damage and regress completed generators under those sorts of conditions? I think that could be interesting if implemented well.

2016 Hooks do not ever respawn, even if the whole group uses it its still 4 hooks. back then they can literally destroy all hooks and they dont spawn, all u need is a toolbox

It's theoretically up to 8 hooks before Survivors start dying, not 4.

Iron Grasp has been nerfed since launch. You're not gonna get to Basement from a corner of the map anymore, and after like 4 or 5 hook breaks you can be left with some disgustingly large hook deadzones on most maps.

There are also now 6 or 7 antislugging perks in the game, if there is a SWF abusing this exploit there's nothing stopping them from using perks to combat slugging. Unless you hover directly over the slug you'll accomplish nothing but wasting your own time.

Heck, with Soul Guard you could waste your time guarding the slug and they could STILL get back up and into the game.

Just like they could combine normal sabotage builds with bugged Breakdowns. Even maps with plentiful hook spawns can get real barren real fast.

And you better believe a SWF will know loop in the part of the map where there are no hooks left.

    -

Old Saboteur having existed doesn't make this exploit not a big deal.

Yeah but its like even though you dislike it you keep saying to the sandwich makers "good job keep it up let me buy another". I think people have every right to complain about facecamping if they stay in the game so your team can escape but if you are suiciding while getting facecamped then you dont have a valid point when you are the reason people facecamp.

People are allowed to do that.

Yea, the theoretical sandwich buying person looks like a goofball for doing it, but looking like a goofball isn't bannable on these forums or a crime in most places.

I don't condone hook suicide against facecamping myself, but if someone does suicide and doesn't like facecamping, I think they should be free to explain their position. Afterwards you can then debate the point(s) they're making.

You're free to disagree with them, but I don't think their actions automatically invalidate any possible arguments they could make.

  • If it's EGC and you aren't camping you are actively hindering yourself.

You're free to keep doing that if you want to, but if you want a Kill you should camp and make the unhook a trade/keep them from unhooking.

BT and DS exist to protect the unhooked Survivors in situations like that and, as Killer, you should be aware of the tools potentially being brought against you and proactively play around them.

  • I mean, suiciding against a facecamper isn't someone's tacit approval of facecamping.

Yea, they are actively hindering their team by suiciding, but they doesn't mean they aren't allowed to complain that facecamping isn't fun to go against.

This is like saying someone who throws away a gross sandwich they bought can't complain that the sandwich was gross. "You didn't eat the whole sandwich, you have no right to complain."

Now, complaining doesn't make BHVR/the sandwich shop obligated to respond to their complaints. It doesn't even mean the sandwich is unequivocally gross and needs changing.

But people are allowed to complain, civilly, about an aspect of the video game/sandwich that they find unenjoyable.

    Especially on here.

Forums are intended for discourse. If people are breaking the rules they should get warned and then banned, if they aren't they should be free to say their piece.

  • You can also do this on the main building of Coal Tower; or at least you could prior to the latest hotfix.

And there's also spots on The Game where Trickster knives visually go through the ceiling of the bottom floor. IDK if they fully travel through to the upper floor though.

  • He's still more or less just a worse Plague, but it's lot more fun playing him now that they removed the spread.

I still think he needs a rework, but he's not the nigh unplayable Depipster that he started out as.

  • It was a hotfix for certain bugs as well as some Trickster buffs.

You can read the patch notes in-game via the News option in the main menu.

  • I have, but it's very much a luck based thing when run all by itself.

I've had more than a couple games with 4 moris, just like I've had more than one where it gets instabroken. The spawn makes a big difference: the easier it is for Survivors to find it, the harder it will be to stop them from eventually cleansing it.

But it can also depend on being able to both get a fast initial down and being able to keep finding and downing people afterwards.

If you're struggling, the Survivor will have plenty of time to find and cleanse it, even if it's hidden well.

But if you can keep up the pressure, it's got a much better chance of being unnoticed until you get your 4th or 5th token, even when right out in the open.

  • I don't think that just buffing Trickster is the way to go.

The character needs an identity. A reason to play him instead of the three other Ranged characters; something that only he can do.

As is he's a worse Plague, and the only thing straight buffing him can do is to make him a better Plague.

He needs some uniqueness. A rework or something new added to his kit, not just buffs.

As for movement speed specifically, I don't think 112.5% would make Trickster better at throwing knives or at being a more unique and interesting character in terms of gameplay.

It'd just make him better at being "baseball bat dude"

  • I did it by running Stake Out and Red Herring with a fast toolbox.

Use Red Herring to attract the Killer and then pop the 90%~ish gen using the speedy toolbox once Stake Out starts showing you're in the TR.

Wraith, Myers, Ghostface, and Tinkerer (among other things) make this challenge really annoying, but it is doable. You just have to devote your build and game strategy to it.

It's sill a really stupidly designed challenge, just like it was last Tome.

  • Rank: Rank 1-5

    Killer: The Huntress

Why: She's fun to play, and fun to play against. Her power is incredibly simple, but it's applications are not.

She's also an awesome character - canonically she's a virtually unstoppable one-woman-army who raised herself alone in the Russian wilderness. She was so deadly and killed so many, that other people didn't even think a human was responsible, and assumed it was the work of a monster.

Furthermore, Huntress is basically the reason I actively play this game.

See the very first Killer I ever played was Wraith, but that was back at the start of 2018, during the Howling Grounds event.

So my introduction to DbD was playing easily the worst Killer (at the time) against Red Rank SWFs that were abusing the Rank 20 glitch and the new patch that removed flashlight and pallet save timings, as well as Sabo builds to keep Killers from getting event hooks.

I would have quit DbD if I didn't figure out the Huntress DLC needed to be "purchased" for $0.00 to be used on PS4. I figured, "Hey, it's free, why not try it?"

I still 'lost' virtually every game as her I played, but I had an absolute blast doing it.

I've played her since; even through that dark period where they bugged her Hatchet hurtboxes and you could throw them through people and not Injure them.

And I'll keep playing her, even when they nerf her power into the ground with her 'add-on rework' by giving her an 'arm fatigue' meter/cooldown to punish you for using her power too much.

I just have fun chucking Hatchets and jamming to Bayu Bayushki Bayu.

Add-ons: My favorite add-ons are Flower Babushka, Pungent Phiale, Deerskin Gloves, Oak Haft, and Glowing Concoction.

Babushka is crazy strong and feels amazing to use, Phiale is goofy garbage so I relate to it strongly on a personal level, Gloves and Haft just feel good to use, and Concoction is just a fun add-on.

  • This isn't a new issue, but I have noticed other Trappers having more trouble with it recently. Probably the map reworks or something.

Just do what I've always done and place it sideways.

The stock bars are part of the Trap's 'trigger area', so if you place it perpendicular to the window, you'll be making full use of the Trap's rectangular hurtbox to catch people vaulting through or running by.

Of course it also makes it easier to see, but attentive people check windows first/never vault while Healthy against a Trapper anyway.

  • Not just have the pig, I want Calm Spirit to make the Pig not squeal loudly and run away if a Survivor gets too close.

I know I'm dreaming, but I'm dreaming big.

  • Trickster needs major changes.

As is he's halfway between Deathslinger, Plague, and Huntress, but just flat out worse than them. He can't snipe or reliably deal damage at a distance like Huntress because of his reduced accuracy and need to land 8-7 hits, his ability to hit through tiny gaps like Deathslinger is also diminished by his reduced accuracy and need to land 8-7 hits, and his ability to rapidly attack multiple Survivors, attack over low wall loops, and take extra advantage of deadzones is overshadowed by Plague's superiority in all those same things in addition to her having other benefits.

Giving him basekit Trick Knives will do nothing. Trick Knives are a meme, you can't control or predict them, and even if you could the random nature of level geometry would make them incredibly situational.

Just buffing him to 115% movement will also not change him; he'll still be a hybrid with no identity, just a faster hybrid with no unique identity.

What he really needs is to be something unique.

    -

My suggestion? Make Laceration something more than progress towards a health state.

Instead of lodging knives in a Survive to Injure or Down, throw them to inflict debuffs.

Off the top of my head, each successful knife could increase pained sounds (in homage to his lore), slightly reduce maximum movement speed (talking 1% or 2% type slightly here), and/or reduce Survivor action speed (it's hard to heal or do gens with a bunch of knives sticking out of you).

Filling the Laceration meter could inflict Exposed (so there's a reason to do it in chase), reveal auras (again, major chase benefit), cause Oblivious (minor chase benefit, more for long term value), and/or inflict Incapacitated (major long term debuff, no chase value).

Laceration would also not decay passively. You'd either need to find another Survivor to take the knives out of you (which would take a lot of time because they're small and very sharp), or just carry on despite them.

The kicker? Survivors will no longer be able to see their progress towards maximum Laceration. You'll have to keep track in chase to know whether or not it's worth it to ignore the knives in your back or have Meg try to yoink them out.

While Meg does that however, she'll face a specific amount of difficult skillchecks. If she fails them, she'll inflict Laceration on herself (the knives are sharp).

Trickster's add-ons would then be changed to suit this new style of gameplay. Like add-ons to remove the notification for the Laceration removal skillchecks, increase/add to the debuffs of Laceration, increase the Laceration gained from flubbing skillchecks, and etc.

Also Trickster won't pull out knives and aim anymore, you'll just tap M2 to chuck them at people while going either full speed or a little over 100%. Main Event will also be scrapped, it's literally worse than worthless right now and I think it's better off being deleted than buffed.

The goal of this change would be to encourage the fun aspect of chucking tons of knives at people while acknowledging and accepting that needing to land 8 knives is generally going to be harder than getting a single M1.

So when you land 7 knives in Dwight but then just M1 him and hook him, you'll have accomplished something besides being an M1 Killer and having fun chucking knives.

And if you get that Zarina that isn't going to be easily caught at a loop by an M1 Killer, leaving her with just 2 or 4 knives will also still have a benefit.

Ideally you'll play Trickster the same way as you do now, and still have fun doing the same type of stuff. But now it'll have a more powerful and lasting impact on the match.

    -

TL;DR :: Trickster needs more than a straight buff, he also needs to be able to do something to make him more than a copy of Deathslinger, Huntress, and Plague.

My suggestion is the knives don't injure, but instead inflict powerful debuffs to justify throwing them.

  • Awesome!

Trickster buffs and no more button mashing are music to my ears.

  • I got the Adept myself and I can't give you any advice.

You literally just need to rely on Survivors being bad and being able to tunnel people (not camp, since that'll hurt your Chaser and Devout) so they can't just rush gens because you have zero slowdown perks.

I will say, not EVERY hit has to be an M1. Just a LOT of them. One or two Knife hits when you're in a place where you can benefit from using them is okay.

Listen, I like the characters in DBD. Most of them are cool but no one even competes with Yui.

    Hey, it's not a competition.

Jeff is cool in the way that your dad or uncle is; he's a really creative, friendly, and smart guy with a huge heart and a lot of stories to tell. (The guy takes care of dogs without homes. He's literally a hero.)

Yui is cool in the way that an action hero is; she never says die, gives zero [BAD WORDS], and overpowered the stalker that broke into her home with a knife. (Everyone likes to say David could take Legion in a fight, but Yui canonically did)

You may personally appreciate one type of cool more than the other, but that doesn't mean they don't both have merit, y'know?

  • @Trashmaster said:

Why play any other ranged killer when the huntress exists?

I mean, Plague doesn't need to reload, her power can act as a tracking tool, and she doesn't need precise aim to have success.

Deathslinger is a stealthy Killer that also has a ranged attack. That ranged attack also acts as an M1, so, unlike Huntress, he can benefit from perks that boost M1s. His power also offers less counterplay than Huntress' (he has no windup) at the cost of him not being able to use it at great distances.

They're not better or worse Huntress clones. Though they may share similarities with the original Ranged Killer, they each have their unique characteristics with unique advantages and disadvantages.

Which leads into the big issue with Trickster.

    He doesn't.

Deathslinger can shoot through the same gaps his knives fit through. Plague can vomit over the same short loops he's strong at. And Huntress just needs to land one distance hit to down or injure, not 8.

Trickster has nothing special about him beyond his character design and voice acting.

  • Sometimes.

Mostly I just think it'd be nice to be able to communicate with them.

Back when I used to play on PC, I didn't notice chat ever being that bad in general. In fact, I made more than a couple friends from post-game chat conversations.

I'm sure it's probably changed as the game has gotten bigger over the years, but there are nice people out there and I do wish I could talk to them.

PS4 does have a keyboard function, and there's no real reason it couldn't be used.

    Edit: Grammar

  • I'd replace Twins with a Killer from the Void.

To explain, in DbD's lore there's the Void, where Killers and Survivors that have become useless to the Entity are thrown away/characters that try to Escape the Entity's trials (for real) end up (see Blight's lore).

I'd like something from there. A character that would be a conglomerate of both previous Killers and Survivors that converge to try and regain some of their old humanity.

Individually they'd all be emotionless and passionless shadows, and they have only the vaguest memories of their previous existences, but working together they're able to collectively achieve something resembling personhood.

  • Mostly I just want better animations; ideally even unique ones for unique Survivors.

Nothing super crazy like custom animations for all Survivors or anything, but like imagine if Quentin nodded off while working on a gen? Or if Nea had a unique animation for landing on the ground after a fall? Or if Dwight looked around nervous and scared while standing still?

I'd definitely still appreciate some of the older Survivors' default outfits getting better textures, or for all Survivors to look a bit more in line with the kind of detail usually applied to newer Killer and map designs.

But little fun animations to make separate Survivor characters a bit more unique is what I want most.

The same for the older Killers would be really nice too, but at least they have unique powers and model shapes/sizes. Survivors as is are all kinda boring and samey.

Like, for example Felix stands, runs, and etcs basically identically to David or Dwight. Playing him instead of them is more like just giving them Blond hair and a different voice, rather than playing a totally separate character.

    At least IMO.

Bhvr: We can't make it happen even so the winner of the contest had a changing mask in mind. It's too complicated to make!!!1!!!!

One random guy on YouTube: Here

It's not that it was too complicated for them - they have Spirit who has a huge variety of changing facial animations.

It's that they didn't care enough to wait/try and do it the way the artist envisioned it.

    -

That's not necessarily a horrible thing - I'm not saying or trying to imply BHVR are terrible people or lazy devs or anything of the sort.

I'm just saying that in this specific instance they just weren't willing to put the time/effort/money into this.

Because it's not just the mask; the lantern was supposed to have a working/flickering light, the paint was supposed to glow, and the chains on the left arm are now just flat textures instead of 3D objects. IIRC there are other issues too; but in the end it's just not what people got really hyped for.

But it's not like BHVR didn't care - they contacted the artist to make sure their redesign was okay, and they still made a pretty cool skin overall.

It's just disappointing because it could have been a lot cooler.

    -

And it's even more disappointing because thong Claudette was given extra time so they could make that better.

  • TL;DR: Nobody.

    ---

Michael Myers is evil incarnate, he was able to drive because he needed to use the car to get away from the mental institution he was at.

Basically for the same reason Michael can get back up after six point blank gunshot wounds from a revolver, or being stabbed in the face and heart.

The Shape is not a human; it's a force of evil using a human body. Trying to understand how it works is an exercise in futility, simply because it's not like us.

    The Shape is supernatural.

That word doesn't mean what it often gets used for; it doesn't mean something that's weird, or magical, or that doesn't follow our known scientific laws.

Supernatural refers to something that is beyond the natural world that we can understand.

We cannot understand something supernatural because it defies what is possible for us and our world. It's the word that a 2D person might use to attempt to describe a 3D person. Anything that is supernatural is not just unexplained, it's unexplainable in terms that we can meaningfully understand.

All we can do is see the expression of something supernatural on our world.

In this case, Michael Myers being able to drive a car despite him having sat in an empty room doing nothing since he was 6.

He is able to drive because he's no longer Michael A. Myers, but The Shape.

If you want to be cynical you could say it's just for story convenience, but I think both the characters of Tommy and Dr. Loomis exist to make it very obvious the thing behind the killings isn't a homicidal human.

  • Sorry, I don't think what I was implying with Wraith in my original comment actually came across that well. That's my bad, I worded it poorly.

Wraith with no limitations wouldn't be cloaking for speed. He would be uncloaking.

Post-uncloak he gets a massive speed boost for about a second. With no cooldown or cloaking/uncloaking timer you could just spam the cloak and uncloak button the entire game to zoom around at 170%~ish movement speed.

He wouldn't be Wraith, he'd be Spirit but with a Bell.

  • A better question is who wouldn't be the strongest Killer.

A Nurse without fatigue, a Huntress that could infinitely spam fully charged Hatchets while moving at full speed, an Oni with unlimited Blood Fury and instant Demon Dash, a Plague with permanent Corrupt Purge; it'd all be the same in terms of Survivors all dying near instantly. Even Wraith and Clown would become insane if Bing Bong could uncloak and recloak instantly and if Clown's gas just never went away.

The only Killers that wouldn't be absolutely broken that I can think of are Legion and Pig. Having an unlimited supply of RBTs that are guaranteed to kill wouldn't help get downs in the first place, and a Legion with unlimited Frenzy wouldn't be capable of downing people directly (unless they were using Frank's Mixtape, but I'm assuming basekit powers).

  • I can count on two hands the amount of times I've been in a Twins game.

And most of those are me playing them.

  • It needs a rework simply because it can provide a great deal without requiring anything from the user.

That said, I don't think it needs reworked immediately. It's a balanced perk, just poorly designed.

As long as there's stuff in the game that is stupidly imbalanced and in desperate need of fixing, NOED should be on the back burner.

  • @AceOfSpades1773 said:

It's actually in a good spot right now. Don't get what the problem is.

I'm pretty sure OP's problem is that it's, technically, stronger at Tier 1 than it is at Tier 3.

  • At least on PS4 it's just not possible to do flicks with a controller.

IDK whether it's due to issues with the coding behind the sensitivity adjustment he gets during a Rush lunge, or if it's due to some issue on the PS4 version of DbD, but Blight's flick has a maximum of a 90° turn - and usually a lot less than that if you aren't snapping your joysticks trying to make him turn.

If I were you I'd just use Mouse and Keyboard to play him. It's not absolutely necessary, but you'll probably be a lot better off.

  • Generators don't spawn on the second floor of the houses.

There are no fences in the front or sides of the houses just the back, the hedges on the sides can be walked through but are NOT see through (so Myers can't be spotted but so he also has to do his whole 'peek around the hedge' deal in order to stalk. Despite having no collision, Ghostface can lean off their edges.)

The houses themselves make up more of the map being wider and have first floor loops made up of narrow and claustrophobic multiple rooms inside them on the first floor - pallets around furniture/doorways and/or vaults over couches, tables, or dressers. These loops are of varying strength depending on the house layout - some easily mimdgameable, others strong. None are God loops.

Gens on the first floor can spawn with no Survivor LOS - so you're at risk of getting grabbed off them or can spawn instead of a loop in a large room with many windows.

The second floor windows are all unvaultable except one at most, but there are doorways that can be used to access the roofs/balconies - one will be a breakable wall (beside the single window if it spawns) the other will always be open.

All blocked windows (first floor and second) can be stalked through a la Hawkins glass, some are cracked open and can be shot through by Deathslinger, Plague or Trickster.

Totems and chest spawns are upstairs, hidden inside furnished rooms with no doorway drops or windows out.

Hooks spawn on the balcony that has an open doorway to it or on the ground in front of that balcony. The second floors can have God Pallets at the stairway entrance to the floor, but only if the one possible window does not spawn AND the first floor loops are unsafe.

Crows spawn on the porches that are disturbed if someone is inside without Calm Spirit or not crouching. Porchlights and interior room lights flicker if a gen is inside and not repaired - fully repairing the gen brightens them up.

Every house can be entered; some have their upstairs doorway blocked, so only the first floor can be used. But there are no more block houses.

The Myers' House basement now spawns behind the house via open cellar doors down under the building. The interior of the house has a very strong pallet - God Pallet equivalent, but a breakable wall weakens it: upstairs never has windows that can be vaulted, but does have an open doorway out as well as two garbage pallets. The Myers' House gen of trophy fame spawns outside the house by the basement entrance, with a hedge all around it for jumpscare potential. Windows are same as the rest of the houses; additionally there are multiple on the second floor with clear vision of the entire street.

The House of Pain doesn't spawn on this map anymore.

The street is very open now; just two cars, the Sanitorium station wagon Michael used and the police car. One is a pallet loops of the same calibre as before, the other will have a busted trash can beside it that acts as a vault location. The road blockers at the end of the street never have totems behind them, and always have hooks in front. Chests can spawn behind them now. Hooks can spawn along the street which has regular lampposts along it.

The park section will only spawn by a house with no upstairs. It now has two bench loops in front and behind the square hedge 'loop' (since hedges have no collision it no longer works as a loop now though). A hook is always inside the hedge square.

This park tile will never spawn on the end of the street - it will always be between two houses.

The goal is to make this map more of an indoor map than an outdoor one, while also allowing from crow tracking, traversibility from house to house, and for Myers to stalk/sneak up on Survivors.

  • She's really strong as is, it just takes a lot of effort, skill, and a degree of luck to pull off her true potential in a given game.

I think her pools of Devotion need a rework though - it's dumb her power can be sitting in some empty Entityforsaken corner of the map far away from where she'll ever want to go - same as with Trapper's Traps.

I also think the feedback of charging and using Puke needs improvement. It's not fun hitting someone and seeing your Puke hit them, only for it not to do anything, and it's even less fun to try and charge a little bit, only for you to accidentally cancel it and slow yourself. A simple (unobtrusive!) VFX when actually applying Sickness and a marker on her charge meter would do WONDERS for the casual Plague player experience - which is honestly a little miserable.

I think she's in a good spot powerwise. Her weaknesses balance her insane strengths without making her unplayable.

She just needs some QOL to make playing her more enjoyable for the average person, I think.

  • Hey, her snowboarding one and her default looks (barring the Elvis hair) are really great.

  • Am a Huntress Main and can confirm that if I ever pulled two people out of lockers in a row while trying to reload, I would be rendered incapable of killing you.

Bedham is still, imo far more broken than Meat plant is.

Sure it has way too many pallets, but it has no vaults, bad areas that dead end you, etc.... Bedham has gross loops that are never exhausted, bad locations for things, house of pain, it's just a nightmare for killers.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I personally think that Badham is better because the Survivors have to be skilled enough to take advantage of it's crazy setups.

Against most Survivors you can turn the House of Pain and the 2nd story Nightmare House into death traps by predicting their movements.

Does that make them okay? Heck no.

But I think it makes it better than Gideon; where the Survivors' and Killers' only real option is to play chases in the most boring way possible.

That said, they both suck and should get overhauled as soon as possible IMO.

I truly hate hyperbole. The times an entire group of 4 survivors have DH is miniscule at best.

As a Doctor main - I am not affected by DH any more than Lithe for example. As a survivor I have NEVER ran DH in a public lobby (Tested in KYF) because I actually think it is the second worst exhaustion perk (Balanced Landing being the worst imo). I can escape a loop way easier with Lithe than DH any day as a survivor.

As a killer I just bait out DH - and then down the survivor.

I don't think OP is being hyperbolic - the never claimed that Dead Hard is always run by all 4 Survivors, or that it will always extend chases by a great deal. They're just pointing out it can do that.

Their primary point is that Dead Hard allows a Survivor to potentially void a mistake they made while looping and then continue to loop. You don't have to agree that that is problematic - but it is accurate.

Also, there are situations where Dead Hard cannot be baited out - i.e. Dead Hard for distance. It's not always as simple as just waiting.

For the record, I personally don't think Dead Hard is problematic - it's an Exhaustion perk, and Exhaustion perks exist to turn Survivor mistakes into successes.

Considering that Survivor mistakes can result in them being removed from them game, I think it's fair. Especially Dead Hard, as it suffers from latency issues as well as the potential to be called out, baited, and negated in a variety of situations.

What I do wish is that there were more ways for Killers to play around the other Exhaustion perks. Ways to inflict Exhaustion, gain additional speed, or otherwise lessen the potential negatives of Exhaustion perks if you're able to call out the attempt to use them.

Things like aiming ahead of a Survivor that uses Balanced Landing as Huntress, Exhaustion inflicting add-ons on M2s (at less time than Huntress' add-ons of course - 90 and 30 seconds is pretty crazy), and Clown's Antidote come to mind.

Ideally I think every Killer should have something like that - a way to benefit from successfully predicting a given Exhaustion perks.

  • Because the loop is extremely tiny and unsafe - by having two pallets it becomes a bit more playable, as you can't just lunge immediately around it if they try looping, since the Survivor could use either pallet. Meanwhile if a Survivor prematurely throws one of the pallets and you call them on it, you'll get a hit easily.

This isn't so bad, there's room for both sides to play it.

What is bad is the Game's pallet setup; where the loops are so big Survivors are basically forced to pre-throw or camp them and the Killer is forced to immediately break them.

The Game loops have very clear LOS too, so neither side will make any meaningful plays, besides press Spacebar, unless the Survivors are blind and you're insane.

  • I got told I was the best Hillbilly they had ever seen by someone who claimed to have played during DbD's beta. The problem with that overly kind compliment is that I [BAD WORD] suck at Hillbilly.

As Survivor a Killer messaged me and called me a coward for hiding while they were camping my teammate's slugged body until they bled out. The Killer in question had 5 stacks of an active Devour Hope.

  • Persistence and willpower, but a love of suffering probably helps too.

If you think that's bad just wait until you experience the 'Can't-attack-immediately-after-Blinking bug'. That one's my favorite.

Edit: If you're looking for like actual tips on Nurse gameplay OhTofu has a solid guide. But it can still a fairly exhausting experience even when you're good at her/know what to do: it's just something you'll have to gey used to if you want to play her.

after seeing the mess that was Death Garden: Blood Harvest's hunt with friends, Please god, No.

I'd say that was more to do with Deathgarden's inherent balance issues - Hunters were incredibly strong in the hands of anyone with even decent aim and a rudimentary grasp of the hacking system. A good Stalker was basically just a killing/dying simulator, and a good Poacher was about as bad. Having two of any of the Hunters just made it nigh impossible to accomplish anything.

That's not to say a potential two Killer mode wouldn't be a mess too, just that I don't think comparing it to Deathgarden's attempt is a very solid argument against it.

  • Any Killer who wouldn't give me grief about getting a glass of water at a bar.

  • It really depends on what Survivors you face and what Killer you're playing.

If you're a Doctor and you're facing four Claudettes that Self Care in corners every time they're Injured while you have Ruin, of course it'll be a free 4k. The map is tiny and you're getting a lot of value out of the advanced totem spawns on that map.

If you're playing Adept Wraith against four good and attentive Survivors with good toolboxes, DS, Unbreakable, and Sprint Burst I think you'll be hard pressed to squeeze in two kills. As small as the map is, they can just split up on gens - without regression perks you'll be relying on being able to slug people or get fast downs as a slightly faster M1 Killer.

There is no such thing as a 'free' Escape or a 'free' 4k. Both sides have a bigger say in the outcome of a game rather than any map's layout itself does.

The map itself is balanced IMO - it just seems imbalanced to other people because it highlights the imbalances between certain aspects of the two roles. You're not seeing a Killer sided map or a Survivor sided map, you're seeing a strong Killer/Killer builds or a strong Survivor/Survivor team.

The only place sexuality or gender belong is in the bedroom between consenting adults.

Trying to throw it in everyone's face is a trash move designed to virtue signal or proclaim "I am cool so you should listen to me."

This is a horror game, not a representation game. I have 0 issues with the background of a character being gay, straight, bi, or apache helicopter. That is their story, and should be treated as such. Not as some massive victory for some ridiculous political agenda. The only people who give a damn about representation are a bunch of weirdos on Twitter and some politicians who use it purely for political and monetary gain.

If people would stop caring about inclusion, and simply accept the fact that everyone is different and equal, things would be a lot better in the world. Instead we get Cancel Culture, hate mobs, and hypocritical mouthpieces spouting hate speech and calling it equality.

Keep your damn politics out of the game and accept each character for who they are. Someone reasonably unique and interesting who might have a neat story that you can relate to, or maybe a story that just piques your interest.

Sexuality is everywhere. Any time you've watched a show where there were two characters who were married with children, or in a relationship, you've seen sexuality out of the bedroom. Any time you've seen a couple making out aggressively or heard an innuendo, you've seen sexuality out of the bedroom. Heterosexuality is also sexuality.

If you have 0 issues with the background of characters, why shouldn't DBD have an LGBTQ+ character? DBD already has sexual relationships in it - Felix had a girlfriend and a child. His lore doesn't include anything explicit or pornographic, and you don't even have to read it if you don't want to, it's simply background on a character that features a heterosexual relationship.

Why isn't that trying to throw straightness into everyone's face?

More people care about representation than are on twitter or vying for public support. There are people out there who aren't straight and who like to be around and see other people that are like themselves. Why is the only possible explanation for a non-straight/binary character that BHVR is trying to virtue signal? Is it not at all possible that they simply thought of a character that is gay/trans?

Why can't we try to have a unique and interesting trans character with a neat story? Why does that become "keep your damn politics out of the game"?

My concern is that when a political message is added that's all the game becomes a political message. When politics get mixed up in entertainment it ends up becoming talentless, lazy written dog ######### and that's not me being mean either. Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, I Am Not Starfire, Wonder Woman 84 are all prime examples of terrible forms of entertainment that are only created to look more PC.

Every form of media has a political message. It's not something you can avoid, you can't write a story or design a game in some apolitical bubble. Everyone has a political agenda, even if that agenda is just something as simple or seemingly undeniable as "human life matters", it's political because it enforces or suggests certain political ideas. i.e. if human life matters, then premeditated murder should be a crime.

You can't design media in a political void - anything you create is created through the lens of your worldview. You can dislike the message of media, or dislike the way it is presented, but every form of media is shaped by the ideas and values of the person making it. This message doesn't make something inherently terrible, or worthless, just as it doesn't make something inherently good or valuable - it just makes it the product of the environment it was created in.

That aside, you didn't answer my question; what political message are you concerned about being added to Dead by Daylight?

Thank you! I don't care weather a character in a game is straight, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual or a bloody attack helicopter same as I don't care about the gender, race or religion of a character. Video Games along with Movies, TV, Anime, Books, Comics & Manga should all remain apolitical. Nobody plays a game for it's political message they play it because it's fun (which Dead By Daylight is not because it's broken af)

Wait, what political message is it that you're concerned about being added to DBD?
