even the 80's one could be called the "classic Shape face" or something like they did with Ghost face
And the one I posted would just be called Alien Shape Face

Y'know, I remember someone suggesting the perk Pharmacy should be change to whenever you open chests, every item you get will just be med-kits.
Ehhh. I don't know. I mean it could work. I would make it more in your control. Like you actually choose if it's a medkit and and the first one is always green and then after always brown or a random other item but make the chance for higher rarity items slightly higher to even make that worth it.

Yeah but i think there's more to it when implementing a character. He probably has less than an hour of screen time in that film. His lobby animations are kind of generic because what else should it be. When re-creating a character i believe some artists take inspiration from many pieces of source material.
I mean he still has better animations so how than every RE character.
-
Maybe because people never got their Nemesis in DBD and are trying anything to be as accurate to the character.
-
Yeah I was thinking of that. Stefano was a great villain. I would have preferred him as the killer wielding the name The Artist. She doesn't work too much with it in my opinion.
-
BHVR gotta give us an RE chapter for Christmas. Would be the perfect gift.

I disagree. I think he looked so bad that he wasn't defined to the point where he looked like many things. Goblin. Sleep deprived... drugged. Old man. Now he looks like a 17 year old. He could look more sleep deprived but i imagine that's kind of hard to do. Like i said i really don't think his source material is really much of a developed character anyways so i can't fault behaviour for being unfaithful where's not much to go off of.
How is there not much to go off of? I mean his entire face is literally on the screen. To me it doesn't matter if he isn't as big of a character. All licenses should be treated well.
-
I once saw a big green man with weird ears protecting his swamp and wondered if he'd ever be a DBD killer. Still hasn't happened though.

I feel like old Quentin returning would disrespect the actor's wishes as well as the actor himself.
Other than that, I agree. Also give him an add-on that increases his lunge for each survivor in the dream world once he gets his old power back.
I would just make it so his arm extends more instead of a longer lunge. Like the hitbox gets longer as a cool little reference to the first film.
-
Probably because the majority are at low rank and killing low rank players every time. I don't see Pinhead at my MMR at all.
-
The only one that needs to go is RE they don't deserve it if they don't put in the effort like every other licensed chapter.

No they don’t have it. Doesn’t speak for either version though, since both are very different from the actor. (It’s still a little insulting to say the goblin thing we had looked more like the actor imo..)
The face shape I think looked more like him while the new one makes him look younger which makes the new one look more like him in that area. It's like you have to mash them together and then change the face shape to look even more like him.
-
@Massquwatt said:
He just needs better addons really. Aside from Paintbrush and cooldown reduction everything else ranges from garbage to situational at best. At least give him some more things he can do in the dream world like dream chests or dream totems or something that can affect everyone in the dreamworld in a meaningful way because the only reason why the dreamworld even exists right now is so they can run over your snares.
I mean it won't change how inaccurate he is and how boring he is. Obviously it's subjective on what is fun but a lot of people out there do find him extremely boring going against and playing as him.

I agree.
But not with quentin. Old quentin just looked very bad. This one looks better. However he is still very unfaithful to the source material. But even then he wasn't much of a developed character. So it doesn't really matter.
Yeah I'm not saying old Quentin looks good, I'm just saying he looks more like Quentin than current Quentin I think.

Freddy is long overdue for changes. It is about time his rework get reverted and his on-release version makes its grand comeback!
And I say the same for Quentin!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2626061#Comment_2626061
DBD doesn't have the license for his likeness, does it?
I doubt they will really just simply revert it but I do hope that same system comes back with some buffs of course. Being the exact same as his old self I don't think will be 100% a good choice. Even though I would prefer that over this current borefest for me.
I don't think they have the likeness for Quentin but they definitely could. I mean the actor seems open to it. He even said change the face so he probably would. It's up to BHVR to make the move and contact him which I doubt they'll spend their precious time on or something idk.

4 isn't that back. Think about it. It's 4 hooks spread across the map. There is bound to have one near when needed in most matches.

Yes. RPD is by far the worst.
Badly designed, frustrating crap.
I still think it's a million miles nicer to play on than Badham. Every single thing about Badham is gross. At minimum for the peple who don't like RPD for it's gameplay have some really cool graphics and fans of RE will jut have some fun on the iconic map.

The office close to the main hub. I'd have to play it again to be more specific. I think someone earlier mentioned it as the 'interrogation room'. It's been a while since I played the RE2-make.
Essentially, it relies on a closed 'cubicle' with two vaults separated by a long barrier of desks, into a potential pallet and another vault. You vault into the room then to the cubicle. Whichever way the killer comes, you vault onto the other side watch the killer. If he goes around the barrier, you vault out of the cubicle and leave the room through the door. If he climbs back in, leave via the second vault.
Then you wait for the killer to pursue again, reenter the room via either door or window and start the cycle again.
Hence, pseudo-infinite.
The Interrogation room is the room with the giant glass. Probably not the right one. I think you mean the one right below the library correct? The 1 looong desk with "Welcome Leon" above it?

You didn't answer my question.
Again.
How do you handle the office infinite on an M1 killer? Be as specific as you can.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2623330#Comment_2623330
You cannot play an M1 killer on that map unless you have an anti-loop. Nemesis and PH do pretty okay there and Doctor/Hag can be okay if you prepare for the infinite. Wraith, Pig and co. get shattered the second survivors realize that all they need to do is make a beeline for the hub, run into the office and if they make it, there is literally no way to catch them even at BL3. It's as bad as the fence loop on Badham or the basement house on Haddonfield, but without any opportunity for counterplay or mindgames.
You've got a vault into a small room and a vault out, without an entrance on one side. These vaults are separated by a barrier and lead to another vault, meaning that if you don't mess up, it's an infinite.
Which office? There is a bunch.
-
With the type of game DBD has there is no place for a DC penalty. It's the same thing as putting a DC penalty in F13. A horrible idea. Or you could do it like REsistance. It is only a 5 minute timer. Sure in DBD it starts off at 5 minutes but consecutive DCs can stack very high which is just dumb.

Without any shame, I'll AFK out RPD offerings. If I get it by (bad) luck, I'll chalk it up as a bad bounce and play the game out, but...well, it takes a lot to make me miss Haddonfield. I'll say that much.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2589405#Comment_2589405
The real reason I dread RPD is that there is at least 1 pseudo-infinite (the office room near the main hub) that is both really easy to reach and impossible to deal with if your killer doesn't have anti-loop.
That and yes, all the freebie gens.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2622618#Comment_2622618
You still didn't answer my question in the other thread where you were defending RPD.
How do you deal with the office pseudo infinite as someone without an anti-loop?
And no, there is a reason why Badham/Haddonfield/RPD are considered miserable maps to play killer on. SWFs are SWFs, but there shouldn't be maps that hard-counter specific killers this hard.
Even the best killers out there despise this map.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2622582#Comment_2622582
Sluzzy seems to have switched to an alt account now. You'll spot it around.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2589728#Comment_2589728
This.
If I'm playing an M1 killer without an anti-loop ability, a survivor abusing this is the one and only time I'll suffer spontaneous internet connections. There is literally nothing you can do about a player that just runs here, and even at BL3 you simply won't catch them.
Well I do just fine on the map with a variety of killers. Not saying that in a bragging way. It's just the truth. I've spent so much time with it. I just know how to play it. It's fun.

Blighted Serum on Nemesis
-
The game doesn't need to be balanced. However certain things should still be stronger anyways. Like killers. Some are ridiculously weak. Even if people don't care about balance it's still a crime for characters like Legion to suck so hard.

Can't delete a horror icon. Suck it up. Maybe go watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre or something.

Nemesis was the definitive choice. Mr. X is simpler yes. Nemesis is still pretty simple. To get right as a DBD killer that is. Birkin is a lot more complicated than Nemesis. Lady D and her daughters barely do anything so would not fit.

A burning mechanic would fit similarly to madness, deep wounds and sickness and also there's been a lot of concepts for killers with a fire related power.
The rocket launcher just sounds like it's way over the top, seeing pallets and survivors burning wouldn't look too out of place compared to a missile going right beside you.
It's not much different from a iridescent hatchet or a Deathslinger shot though (If the shot just downed you). It's just themed differently I don't think it would be that over the top. A flame thrower sure could fit as one of those types of mechanics but the rocket launcher can work the same as other mechanics as well.

"Large creature that stomps on you" is enough for me - I more want it for variety than anything else - but by your logic, the disrespectful travesty that is Nemesis in game really shouldn't be in DBD.
I find more uniqueness in Nemesis in DBD these days with the type of killers we have. I mean we don't have any other BOWs. Sure Lady D is a BOW but she is a lot like Plague in her design style while no one else is like Nemesis.

I agree with you, it's doesn't fit the tone of the game at all and nemesis wouldn't look more intimidating with a rocket launcher just straight up silly. It's hard to give him another power without making him busted, the best ideas I've seen were probably throwing survivors or putting parasites into zombies, but if people really want weapons the only one I think would be better to translate it into the game is the flamethrower.
So how can a flamethrower fit and not a rocket launcher? Especially the type of flame thrower he is using? People have wanted RE for awhile but if some say a rocket launcher doesn't fit than the entire franchise just doesn't fit. If it does fit then a rocket launcher fits. I mean they were part of RE all the way back in 1996.

It's still possible
Plus, some of the killer animations in the end-game screen are different.
Yea but what would they change the most important parts to? Like the tentacle? The best thing I could suggest is an infecting ground slam but that would be so random.

I agree mr x wouldn't work as a legendary for nemesis but resident evil stuff is why i started playing the game like and would love other chapters/paragraphs...my wish list would be hunk ada wong and birkin as a killer i can remember someone said in a different post that birkin could work as a blight skin and i agree with that
I personally believe we will see full in new RE characters in the future. Like not as jut skins. Like I 100% believe we'll see another RE killer as at minimum a paragraph. Hopefully Birkin or X.
-
Survivors shouldn't have any perks then.
-
@Adjatha said:
Mr. X from RE2 is the best fit. Literally need no changes beyond putting Nemesis in a trench coat (and a silly little hat)
Chief Mendez from RE4 would also work, though having his tentacle be more like a centipede leg, or a Las Plagas would be a nice touch.
Jack from RE7 would be a stretch, but having mold-goo for a tentacle whip would be fine.
Lady Dimitrescu would be the biggest stretch and almost certainly wouldn't fit, but it'd be great if they went for it.
Mr. X would need probably some of the biggest changes. Like changing the tentacle would be very hard. Maybe a random infectious ground slam? Nothing else I can come up with. Completely change ALL animations. No more sounds from him at all. New entire mori.

I will cede that you could probably balance a rocket launcher, though I do still maintain it'd have to be a kind of awkward mechanic because it would need hefty restrictions. What there's no getting around is that a rocket launcher in no way fits into DBD's tone and aesthetic, it's just far too high tech and modern-military.
It's not that high tech? It's just a rocket launcher. It's not like the world these other survivors live in don't have something like rocket launchers in their world. The only way it feels weird is because we just don't have one yet. It would be a badass addition to DBD. I don't think anyone besides like 2 people booing it.

Many things sound busted as hell if you don't actually have them in-game.
Imagine Bubba wasn't in the game and people speculated what his power could be and someone would say:
"how about a chainsaw attack that lets you instantly down all 4 survivors and also it should make you go faster and faster with each sweep so you catch up quicker and quicker. Oh and also you should keep 100% of your movement control during the attack so you can instantly down a survivor behind you then turn around and go after the other near-by survivor"
Everyone would be like "that's busted" when in reality just about anything can be balanced around DBD's gameplay.
Even a rocket launcher could be balanced if:
- it was on a cooldown like Doctor's Static Blast
- it had a rather small area of effect
- it slowed Nemesis during the shot
- it had a 5 second charge up time (in this case the time it takes for him to pull out the rocket launcher and scream S.T.A.R.S. before he takes the shot)
- and if it had a time limit for its use like Trickster's main event so you can't effectively use the rocket launcher to camp
Tada, you now have Nemesis rocket launcher in Dead By Daylight and it's nowhere near busted.
Exactly.

I think it'd be too weird to see Mr. X. The running would just look awful on him for anyone who played the game. And the tentacle would be goofy looking on him also. Besides that though Capcom wouldn't allow it most likely.
-
@RenRen said:
I feel like the only legendary skin that would work is Mr.X.
Yeah but the thing is Capcom they probably wouldn't allow it. Some might say they don't care since it isn't their game but they probably do care to at least have the character represented correctly at least slightly. Him with a tentacle would just be false so they probably wouldn't do ir.
