A lot of people don't know what no mither does besides hue hue perma injured I've went against plenty of killers who think slugging me is fine when I'm a no mither lol
I rarely ever get that.
But what I do get semi regularly is killers I guess are either panicked or momentarily distracted, realise their mistake after 2 to 5 seconds to return for me, but it’s already too late, I’ve already crawled sufficiently far away to be difficult to hear or track.
And then a lot of the time I guess they panic again and don’t spend too much time looking for me because now 1 or 2 gens have just popped.
Most of the time I’m picked up straight away is usually an instance that I wanted that to occur to stop the killer harassing someone else.

Welcome to solo queue, how may I serve you? Here's our menu for today:
- Multiple survivors saving your when you have Kindred
- Teammates farming you without Borrowed Time
- Last survivor camping the exit gate and not letting you escape through the hatch before EGC expires
- Survivors staying at 0% recovery while dying
Which do you prefer?
On a serious note, that's why I play killer because solo queue is literally painstaking sometimes.
I’ll take the all inclusive meal deal thanks 🤣

I think sleeping on Desperate Measures' healing speed bonus from No Mither is a bad take. Just because you don't need healing doesn't mean that the other three Survivors in your match don't.
I’m definitely not sleeping on it. If the killer isn’t immediately returning to the hook, it’s great to heal the other survivor super quick, which is why I still take a med kit with this build.
But the really fast minimum unhook speed of 37% is really, really handy in clutch moments, let alone when others are also injured, or Leader is also in play.

Leader does sound like it would be good, I haven't tried it. I usually take Resilience too in order to offset the Self-Care speed penalty even more. Plus it's possible to leave yourself at 99% for the speed bonus, and finish the heal when you need to.
Only problem is that it takes all my perks, and I love information perks such as Spine Chill or Bond. I usually abandon the whole build and just take a medkit instead because of that.
Even if you just left in BK & DM, and took a med kit with that, you’re getting the efficiency bonus of 33%, plus insane healing speed too.

That combo can make your self care below 20 seconds right?
Pretty much. Ideally a med kit should still be used with the build. It’s crazy good. To hell with Sloppy.
-
@GreyBigfoot said:
Desperate Measures is underrated for sure. The only time I use self care is when combo'd with that (and usually Botany Knowledge too). It can quickly stack up and make for some crazy good healing.
Yeah, I’ve done that too. Add in Leader and co-op healing is crazy.

That is actually very impressive, to be honest. My most used survivor perk is, probably, Self-Care. But in my defence, when I first started playing this perk was praised instead of hated.
I think a lot of the Self Care hate is unwarranted.
Sometimes you HAVE to rely on yourself and be self sufficient.
That said though I feel many use the perk at poor times.
And I still stand by my feelings that at the very least Self Care should always be taken in with a med kit for the self healing effiency bonus. Self Care should just act as insurance in those instances a medkit runs out of charges mid heal, and Self Care can take over.
The ideal though is still BK, Med Kit, Self Care, which I feel is still very powerful, and makes the survivor a strong asset to the team, and take way more heat from the killer in more clutch moments (except when insta Down’s are in play)

A No Mither build? You are brave, my friend.
David became my main shortly after first getting the game. I became very comfortable and confident using it. In fact I’d guess it’s probably my most used survivor perk over the course my time playing DBD. I have a good understanding of its limitations that I know how to use to my, and the teams advantage, such as knowing when I should intentionally take a down for someone.

Sorta unrelated but has anyone noticed the unhook animation is kinda buggy with a speed increase?
Can’t say I’ve noticed.

You perform at your best when you are under extreme stress
Any and all good and great Skill check zones are increased by 20/30/40%
Skill checks chances are increased by 10%
How is this change?
That’s not bad. Certainly better than what we currently have without sounding broken.

It doesn’t seem remotely similar to DBD though. Seems more similar to L4D.

David’s a pretty easy and obvious one. I couldn’t imagine anybody not using Resilience out of the generic perks.
-
Oops. I did too.

Built To Last isn’t one of the generic perks.

Survivor would be Kate because I love Windows of Opportunity and I'm already a Kate main. I'd put Kindred.
Killer would be Huntress because she's already my main killer and I don't really need perks on her, so her 3 horrible teachables wouldn't make a difference. 4th slot would be Whispers.
Whispers is an interesting choice. Almost every huntress I see runs bitter murmur to snipe survivors after finishing gens.

@th3 said:
Great combo assuming you can get the rest of your team to run it as well. Otherwise its phenomenal with a medkit instead.
Built To Last + BK is better with a med kit. Or all 3.

Its crazy good, but a bit broken. I’ve done it before with med kits with BK as well, but this is the first time I’ve messed around with doing the combo with toolboxes.

@Rivyn said:
If a survivor doesn't like the match, they simply die on hook. Yet the killer can't do the same (aside from dcing, then getting hit with the penalty), unless the survivors choose too. Even if you go afk in a corner for whatever reason, you still need to wait out survivors doing gens.
Why not just give the killer control of the gates after a certain period of time has past? Killer doesn't like the match up, they pop one open, force the EGC, and is on to a new match two minutes later. Either due to matchup, or toxicity, a noed/bloodwarden play, lost motivation, or even if the last two survivors are holding the match hostage. Pick your poison, it can fill a lot.
That’s not exactly entirely true anymore. Teammates will know hold you hostage by unhooking during the struggle phase. It’s pretty annoying when I don’t want to stay.

Yeah but dedicating an entire perk slot to a med kit I have to waste time finding (that invalidates the time saved healing) over just bringing a brown medkit is insane to me.
I do both. I don’t go intentionally looking for a chest. If I pass one, or near somewhere I know there’ll be one, I’ll swap. That way either somebody else still gets a medkit, or I know where to come back if the Emergency Medkit wasn’t enough.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
The main thing that always prevented me from using it is that emergency med kits just aren't... very good... at all.
They're marginally better than a brown. Yeah, you get a self heal boost but med kits are pretty fast compared to SC anyway so..
No, they’re significantly faster than a brown by a long shot.

I'm somewhat of a Twins main.
Survivors hiding in lockers can be an effective tactic for stopping Victor's snowballing spree. I've seen this play out time and time again.
Of course, if you're trying to trick survivors into thinking hiding in lockers is a dumb strat, then sure I'll go along 😉
I guess in my case I’m yet to have a survivor escape before I can get Charlotte there because I rarely ever keep them separated excessively far from each other.

@Jarol said:
As I understand it, with 3 Nemesis tentacle blows you can leave a survivor with the virus dying, if a survivor was already with the T-Virus, it will be 2 tentacle blows to leave him in an agonizing state. Basically in ptb I have tried and faced Nemesis, but survivors do not use t-virus vaccines as much, should Nemesis's Contaminated status effect be improved upon leaving? Since the only thing that changes is the number of attacks you can make with the tentacle or a Zombie Attack.
I think that if they should improve, it is to give the survivors a mix between the power of Vile Purgue with Jigsaw's traps, if they are infected with the T-Virus, because they do not give them a Broken status effect and if they do not heal until the end of the game, turn into Zombies? Well this is my idea to improve the Contamination status effect, since the only thing that changes is the attack number as well as the distance of the tentacle.
I think it needs to be left alone for a few weeks when it goes live. As Nemesis players start to improve they’ll realise that contaminated will be a very valuable tracking tool.

Yep,the strength of Iron Will is being able to run away from tiles (with LOS blockers) without the killer being able to tell if you're still at the loop or not until it's basically too late.
Blood Hound does nothing about it.Stridor is the only thing that counters that tactic
???
You can literally see exactly which direction they went, plain as day. It doesn’t matter how many LoS blockers they use.

Every game…. and I mean every game balances around skilled players. If you can’t be bothered to learn, quit or accept losing.
So...
getting the vast majority of DBD’s player base to quit sounds like a financially sensible decision?
Do tell us more about your amazing insight into running a business...

In fairness to the OP though, there are now some pretty good Tricksters emerging.

Everytime I get a lobby with a trickster the lobby only lasts for like 10 minutes becuase all they do is continuously spam the knifes so you cant do anything especially on small maps like midwich it's just unfair
They have to spam knives though.
Just make sure you’re using as much cover as possible, and on Midwich don’t stay in the hallways.

It's just an opinion based thing.
But seeing your comments on here about certain perks blows my mind at times.I just would want to see what you think of the perks for some context
I just personally feel that every perk has advantages that can be milked, if used intentionally. Even the awful Monstrous Shrine gets teammates off of gens faster for rescues when someone is hooked down there.

Here’s my guess as to what happened, and what the problem was.
I don’t think they ever intended to do intensive optimisation for PS4 or XBONE, beyond minor tweaks and bug fixes.
I think that every time they publicly said they were optimising for console, they specifically meant PS5 and Series X/S. And technically they could say that without it being a lie.
I think they were banking on a much greater transition of the PS4 and XBONE DBD player base to the new consoles, expecting only ones that wouldn’t would be those that can’t budget for one.
The problem they never saw coming (again, just my theories) was the extreme shortage of supply of the new consoles, leaving a great deal of DBD players having to still play on PS4 & XBONE, even though they’d willingly buy a new console in a heartbeat if they were available.
So they now have a conundrum where they banked on not needing to invest more time and finances into more intensive optimisation of the older consoles, because “why? so few DBD players will be playing on those consoles within 6 to 12 months.” only to now realise many of those players are now forced to play DBD in those older consoles for probably a much much longer period of time.

The only thing they can't do is repair gens, they can still unhook and do any other action. I get what you are saying but it also depends on the map and whether or not Charlotte can constantly pressure the survivors. I mainly find myself only doing well towards late game due to Oppression and Fire Up.
They can’t heal other survivors either.

Jumping in a locker can be the correct decision if you’re injured and there’s potential for Victor to snowball a massive amount.
That’s still a big gamble. Not every Twins player will be dumb enough to allow there to be significant distance between Charlotte and Victor

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2263621#Comment_2263621
I wasn't trying to say that they weren't strong, they are VERY strong. My only problem with them is that there really isn't any incentive to get Victor off quickly. Sure you will be injured and your aura will be seen after a certain duration but other than that, there's nothing much to it.
No incentive other than they’re not able to help do much, and they start noticing 1 or 2 of the other survivors going down and hooked quickly, and at best only 1 or 2 gens are popped...
Trust me, when the remaining 3 start struggling to make significant progress against the amount of times Charlotte is applying adequate pressure, they stop kidnapping Victor, and it won’t happen again for the remainder of the match.
-
@Satelit said:

Depends how far Charlotte is
Which a survivor is making a gamble on. And that also falls onto how smart the killer player is. In my opinion, sending Victor ridiculously far from Charlotte is never a good/smart idea.
-
@Kebek said:
No, keeping victor makes you very susceptible to ambushed, you're oblivious vs killer with permanent wallhack on you while unable to progress the match in any direct way.
Twins are already really strong killer. They don't need more lethality added to them.
This. Victor doesn’t need to be stronger. Twins are already really strong. They’re quickly becoming one of my most played killers over recent months. I’ve done a 180 from thinking they were the worst, most horribly designed joke in the entire game, to now understanding just how oppressive they can be.
I’d like to add that I do great with them without the usual camping scummy-ness, and the only times I mass slug is when the survivors are silly enough to serve themselves up on a platter to Victor.
-
First Killer: old Freddy. He’s why I got the game.
First survivor: a terrified Claudette creeping around the perimeter of old Thompson house map, too frightened to touch or do anything. I thought I was being smart hiding by an exit gate waiting for everybody else to finish the gens. I quickly gravitated towards David, eventually making him my main. No Mither for the win.
