One of my survivors has an anti 3-gen build:

    • Deja Vu (Visionary could also work)
    • Stakeout (since the middle gens are often critical, you'll likely be in or near the killer's TR as they chase/patrol)
    • Technician (to reduce the odds of the killer dropping chase to push me off the gen; could be swapped for Better Together to either draw in other survivors for aid or (hopefully) deter survivors from leading the killer to the gen)
    • Repressed Alliance (to help with Pop and gen-regression, while letting the others know that the gen is there and needs attention while you're chased off)

I should probably add Repressed Alliance into my builds with how often another kites the killer onto me while I’m repairing.

I like most Perks from this Chapter.

Nemesis Erruption is decent, Hysteris has a decent effect and the cooldown is the duration the same time and Lethal Pursuer is a small effect but can make your early game count if you chase the right Survivor. 2 days ago I had 2 people spawn behind me at the suffocation pit almost inside my TR, I wouldn't haved checked there otherwise.

Jill's Blastmine is Flashbang's worse brother in my opinion. It's quite incomsistent but okayish, Resurgence is just a buff to you, it's good and Counterforce is also good if you don't overcommit to totems. But the extra cleanse speed is definitely helpful.

Leon's Flashbang... dude I've never had a favourite Perk like that but I love that Perk. It's fair and it's fun, nothing op but it will stay in my builds for a long time. Rookie Spirit helps quite a lot and I like to know which gens are regressing. Also gives an info of where the Killer is. Bite the Bullet is his weakest Perk but it has it's uses, it's just not my style.

Most Perks are really good, not overtuned and not underwhelming. Pretty good and balanced they nailed the Perks this time.

I agree. Except I do find Lethal Pursuer a bit on the obnoxious side. Having the killer on you straight away never feels good.

That's why I hate when I spawn and survivors start repairing together (without Prove Thyself), sometimes 3 of them, the same corner gen.

I already know how the match is going to proceed when I see my teammates doing this: 3 corner gens will probably pop in 2 minutes, but then the killer eventually gets a super strong 4 gen setup because everyone refused to stay separated and prioritize middle gens. Everyone dies after.

And the worst? They always get cocky after popping the first gens quickly, it just kills them faster.

It’s bad enough the team 3 gens us despite my best efforts to stop that occurring. But when chases are kept around those gens?!?!?! Drives me mental.

Since you "fixed" mixing her skins, She now needs more skins. not legenderys but more oufits. Many players main her more than any other licensed characters -even though idk why her other outfits are linked unlike Nancy, Steve, Tap, Ash but whatever..- at least give her more skins? No? ok...

I mean what more can they do that Konami would be happy to license? Dahlia & Claudia don’t fit as survivors because they were villains.

So your saying those 2 perks are worth taking in the game if you wanna work on pipping solo Q. (I'm not I'm just wondering if its worth bringing instead of other great perks)

They’re fantastic. Can plan, and it helps during chases to avoid running towards gens that still need repairing.

A bit weird for those people to be playing a game whose entire premise revolves around being trapped as a prisoner in an eternal cycle of abuse.

Can’t disagree with that, but then trauma is a complicated issue isn’t it. Sometimes logic or reason doesn’t play a part in it.

  • They’re bugged. Can we please NOT cause hysteria by using incorrect terminology?!

  • @GreyBigfoot said:

Jill has been my main survivor for the past week, and I've been using her perks a fair bit. I've come to realize that Resurgence is actually pretty good.

Getting off the hook with 50% healing already done is great. It's practically like giving whoever rescued you the perk We'll Make It. It's also faster than Botany Knowledge, or makes a Self-Care the speed of a regular heal, if you're into that perk.

But my favorite part is that it makes the lowly brown medkit able to heal you twice, once you get off the hook. I haven't been able to combo Resurgence with Solidarity yet, but it sounds like a satisfying combo, even if there's more efficient things.

Yeah I like it, and it’s great with Solidarity.

If an injured survivor unhooks me and I heal them, then it’s 2 full heals in just 16 seconds.

Huh? Fail skill checks when using dream pallets? I've never come across a team that does that.

Odds are if they're bothering to check the pallets they're noobs when I play them. Its a total waste to eliminate a pallet and tell your location JUST to see if Freddy has that power.. Just keeping track of general areas makes guessing really simple for them. Combined with them just blazing through gens early so that it can never be that much of an issue later.

SWF in Australia are hardcore. They don’t leave anything to chance. They’d rather lose 8 seconds of gen progress rather than leave it to chance that they go down at a pallet as that’s more of a set back than a failed skillcheck.

  • No you haven’t. You have presented ANY proof that the devs have not put any work into the issues still persisting since the RE chapter release.

Do you have video surveillance showing that the devs are twiddling their thumbs?

    Documents? Official emails?

An inside source that can prove they work for BHVR?

What proof to you have exactly? Other than conjecture and speculation?

  • @OopsAllHexes said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2300178#Comment_2300178

Oh, but, I DO know. Because I have evidence, as I said before. The already presented evidence you claim I don't have.

By all means prove it. Show us.

  • Pallet Freddy used to be fine where a substantial amount of maps had available set up at the beginning of the match, where survivors haven’t visited those areas yet, making pallets way more effective.

Now because almost all maps require some pallets to be broken before he can start using Dream Pallets, he has no power in the beginning, and it’s effectively pointless when survivors remember which pallets they’ve already thrown down.

  • “He always had some terrible add ons and why didn't those get addressed? The add ons that involve skill checks are completely pointless as NOBODY fails skill checks on purpose to wake up anymore. Those might as well be deleted.”

They do when Freddy is using Dream Pallets. Survivors want to be absolutely sure if Freddy comes over to a gen that they’re not running to fake pallets.

Ah, I see, you're one of the people who will defend BHVR no matter what.

    "For all we know, these-"

I want you to check that list and tell me that half of the bugs on that list are connected to those issues.

Also, then there's the big thing about Mandy having said "the devs were fixing it" and yet they were focused on things like cosmetic sets being unlinked. Don't try and "BUT" this, unlinked sets isn't related to the FPS dips in the slightest.

Am I gonna see "UR NOT A DEV U DONT KNOW" next?

"Just because certain fixes were achieved faster, doesn’t mean the bigger issues are being ignored entirely. "

Like I mentioned, Mandy was saying the usual PR stuff, that the devs were "on it" yet they weren't, and even then, unlinked cosmetic sets is NOT a priority. It doesn't matter if that was achieved faster, the FPS drops SHOULD be the highest priority, for obvious reasons.

And allow me to add some important facts: This shouldn't be happening on a normal PS4 if the devs were competent. Like, at all. People seem to have forgotten what the PS4 and other consoles were capable of. DBD wasn't and still isn't graphically complex, neither is it very complex in terms of coding. Bloodborne and other games run perfectly fine with no slowdown whatsoever.

    No I won’t tell you because I don’t know.

    Thats my point.

    I don’t know, and you don’t know.

Everybody seems to be jumping to the “devs don’t care” vitriol without solid, supporting evidence. It’s all just conjecture and slander.

Lmfao, how the ######### do legendary cosmetics mixing make the game unplayable? Well they prioritized that and the game is still #########. Half a decade of them ignoring the bigger issues and you still think this way.

That’s different. That’s clearly a licensing issue with most of them. BHVR are not ALLOWED to make it possible for mix and match of those cosmetics.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/260137/everyone-upset-about-the-rcpd-map

The prioritize stupid things like patching harmless or loved bugs and fun bugs over health and balance or game breaking bugs that have been here for years.

RPD will be the worst/most hated map in dbd history lol. Its so poorly designed like every licensed map or indoor map. It'll be fun for a few days..then after the honeymoon phase I'll begin to not play if i get it as killer.

Personally I can’t wait to play it. I already know the layout like the back of my hand having played both original RE2 and remake over and over again.

  • @OopsAllHexes said:

Except, thing is, we've been told that "they are working on it", but we just got proof that wasn't the case. They were spending their time on irrelevant issues.

Also, one should never ever be telling others to "play a different game in the meantime" like Cote did with Civ. This is just casually admitting that a game has big issues and that you'd rather people STOP supporting DBD instead of letting them complain about the issues. It's the equivalent of the mindset of those who repeatedly say "if you don't like it, leave".

Just because certain fixes were achieved faster, doesn’t mean the bigger issues are being ignored entirely. For all we know these seemingly unrelated issues may have played a part in the bigger issues many are upset about.

  • I actually think their best perks are their teachables.

Coup De Grace means Charlotte has at least SOMETHING up her sleeve up to 5 times per match when she doesn’t have access to Victor.

Hoarder allows you to attempt ambushes with Victor, whilst getting info on where/what some survivors are doing, and the gen they’re likely heading to next.

Oppression lets you know where to send Victor next if the skillchecks are failed.

4th perk can be whatever you want.

  • My absolute favourite was one whereby after a survivor successfully stuns the killer with a pallet, they’d be locked into a static pose like they were riding an invisible motorcycle, floating slowly, just above ground level.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

@TheClownIsKing does care about others fun, which is why they don't run sweaty builds and they seem to be generally good sports about everything.

I don't remember the last time I've seen a survivor try to heal mid-chase lol

Well fair play then lol I would prefer that build to a lot of others that the Doctor has. Like if I was doing that build I'd definitely use double calm and Lullaby instead of overwhelming presence.

It’s not an amazing perk by any means, but in this build it’s quite handy at complimenting Coulrophobia and Unnerving, keeping pressure on the survivors either struggling to get slugs up off the ground, or trying to heal with their medkits. I’ve had survivors try to blind me only to run out of charges. Same with mid hook Sabotage. Plus it helps make a map user waste loads of time trying to stay out of my TR. It just makes the survivors getting things done way more difficult as I keep in the move, and with how frequently they keep getting into T3 madness. It basically gives Doc peak power with his TR.

I’d only ever use Calm with M&A so I can take advantage of his stealth during cool downs.

VPN and playing with friends. Just to test the difference between servers I jumped around the 3 main ones as both killer and survivor, and just to make sure it wasn't my ping magically changing the way people play I throttled my AU connection.

NA West is full of campers and tunnelers that do it right form the start and usually lose, NA East is honestly the most "normal" place I've played in the sense that it's consistently in the middle, EU is wierd and gets way sweatier when it's not in the evening but not in the AU way (we rush gens, EU is more about chase skill and showing off).

It's not like this is something I do normally, I just got curious after playing with some of my international friends and decided to test. Turns out AU really does ######### suck.

    This!!!

I’ve been saying this on these forums for YEARS (even on my old account).

But so few believe just how extreme the gaming landscape is in Australia and New Zealand. It’s ultra competitive, and this in turn can make online gaming highly stressful here.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2297978#Comment_2297978

No, it's just AU evenings. They really are vastly different to NA and EU, as a solo survivor I usually get matched with 2-3 person SWF teams and everyone knows to do gens. Unfortunately, they also like to predrop pallets.

AU killer is really one of the worst experiences this game has to offer. I've played on NA West, NA East and EU servers and it's just way more chill in every possible way.

Pretty much. The competitiveness here is absurd, probably only surpassed by the Japanese and the Koreans.

  • @CashelP14 said:

That build isn't that scary unless your playing on a tiny map. Also ngl I'd be more afraid of that build if it had Huntress Lullaby (probably my kryptonite perk).

Also I'd probably run calm add-ons instead and never use the static blast. Makes more sense with your perks.

I have particularly methodology with this build. The survivors struggle to get much done.

Plus I find it really funny smacking down an injured cocky survivor trying to finish a heal mid chase, but they run out of med kit charges.

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/259691/sigh-bite-the-bullet-or-self-preservation-do-not-counter-stridor

Hi, I've checked into this and yes both perks should effectively remove sounds made completely not just reduce them - so they should certainly not be amplified by Stridor. If you could make a bug report on this that would be great (any video evidence would also be helpful for me to bring back to the team).

Well that’s reassuring. Thanks for looking into this. I’ll do the report.

  • @miketheratguy said:

Last night, after playing Doc for like four hours straight (my first day of fully embracing my first killer), I got my first ever SWF team.

    Oh boy.

The rumors are true. The hushed whispers of the sweat squads lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce with their aggressive tactics and coordinated console chat, are real. While they surprisingly didn't annihilate me, and I even managed to hook one (which they may have allowed me to out of pity, I don't know), they were insane. A team of four looping experts who were literally racing around me left and right, buzzing me like flies, doing stuff I'd never seen before like disappearing magically from my view, turning corners at exactly the last second, ducking and bobbing and weaving like professional boxers, etc. It was at first frustrating but then eventually almost mesmerizing. I couldn't help but respect their skill. And, as is my style, at the end of the match I opened the gate and stood aside to nod at them to say "hey, good game". To my pleasant surprise, they did the same thing that "normal" survivors do when I make this gesture: They dropped the BS and nodded at me, ran over to ask for some hits, ran around dancing with me, etc. It wound up being pretty fun.

I have to say the same thing I said to another user the other day: You just can't allow yourself to take the antagonistic players personally. Their methods can't dictate your own fun. As hard as it is you just have to kind of shrug it off, otherwise it will bother you after they're long gone.

OR if you're really great with an oppressive Doc build, take it out on the next group that acts like a bunch of punks. :P

Don’t worry. I’m having LOADS of fun now.

  • @DanielPaint said:

Okay sorry but now it's just annoying. After all these bugs since the updates, all these posts here the devs are still quiet.....

They don't learn from the past and it shows that this game is doomed. Big problems are still getting ignored, feedback is getting ignored, no informations for us. The only thing we get are more and more bugs, errors, performance issues and bad chapters to press money out of us.

They’re probably quiet because it’s better for them to use their time for all the urgent bug fixes needed to ready for the upcoming hot fix.

  • @GeneralV said:

  • Hmm ok.

Personally, I try to bait it and time my delay of my lunge after they’ve initiated their DH. This usually results in a hit. If I’m using Coup De Grace and bait the DH before lunging then I’m absolutely guaranteed a down.

  • @aroell said:

Do you are taking out your anger on other survivors just because you didn’t win the match before?

  • @gendoss said:

So that's the solution? If we don't like something then just let's don't play the game? Tell this to everyone then on the forum who complains about something: perks, add-ons, killer powers, bugs, etc...

For many players, including me, playing with good builds is important. Playing with e.g. with monstrous shrine or level 1-2 perks is not fun. Therefore grind is unavoidable currently.

I didn’t say that either. Please improve your reading comprehension

  • You don’t even need to play both sides. Many players are too impatient to take the time to go over the post match results screen and actually look at the load outs, and read each perk/item/add ons description that pops up.

unless BHVR tweets out "Thanks for bringing us Jeepers Vic, sorry you got caught slackin" i think its fine.

I think you underestimate the biting hot ember of hatred that Paedophilia leaves in the public’s heart.

BHVR could add a Jeepers Creepers chapter with loads of massive disclaimers, and make it clear Vic isn’t profiting from it. But many would not see reason or logic, and the boycotting would be swift and brutal.

It’s just a risky move that could have dire financial consequences to BHVR.

That a remake/reboot movie is even being made at all is a risky financial investment.

  • Except the public scrutiny that would come of it though. Even if he didn’t get a dime, many wouldn’t know that, or probably care either. They’d just be angry.

It is NOT overpowered to expect that even when a killer runs Stridor these perks do exactly what they’re supposed to do during their very limited use, because they’ll still be heard easily in every other instance while Stridor is active.

What is getting in people’s heads this weird idea that people expect BTB and SP are expected to make a survivor silent all match long?! No one said that. No one expects that. Just when they’re ACTIVE, that’s it. Geez.
