I heard Evil Dead was pretty good, that is definitely in my back log of games.
It's good, but a bit buggy, I'd say buggier than DbD at times
-
I'm enjoying Evil Dead: The Game

Thanks man, as a fellow Demo Main I always appreciate more info!
You're welcome!
If there's anything missing, let me know so I can add it to the guide.

Don't forget about basement demo
That's what I'd consider a "meme build", which is why I didn't specify it. I'll specify it (along with a few other Demogorgon builds) because it's so popular.
@dspaceman20 said:
Thank you for the tips. I'm totally not a survivor main and I'm looking at Demogorgons secrets to know how to beat him.
:)
I doubt you'll have any problems playing as/against Demogorgon after reading this. Think of it, I should probably add a section on how to deal with Demogorgon
-
Yeah no
-
The PTB is gonna be absolutely broken. I can't imagine the devs will manage to make a functional throwing mechanic
-
Too bad it's only on Steam :(

Well- no. I'm talking about a deficiency in communication and teamwork that can be covered partially by a perk. I can't tell them that they need to get into locker or that their auras are being shown when they lock a locker or anything of the sort. Short of being able to express this to them, I should be able to protect them to a degree. The function is different from boons, which simply provide a rallying point with varying levels of protection.
You want to shield your teammates from an Aura using Distortion, an AOE effect, which is exactly what Shadow Step does. You can't just give Distortion Shadow Step's effect and call it a day.
You want to protect your entire team, run SS, want to protect yourself, use Distortion

"So a weaker/stronger Demogorgon with a weird 1v4 niche that probably barely works" - Me, probably
-
I haven't gotten a Survivor Ritual in a while, probably months since I had one
-
I wouldn't say nobody cares about the Perk reworks, they are meaningful.
Yes, aim dressing sucks and shouldn't exist
-
Shadow Step if you want an AOE

I see Demo pretty offten, I think he is one of the more played killers similar like Nemesis. If Stranger Things won't comeback then maybe after few years he will be very rare to see.
I rarely see Demogorgon :(
-
Demogorgon - Maybe because he isn't in the Store anymore, and because he isn't exactly a beginner-friendly Killer
-
You can play Demogorgon, who does everything Freddy does but better
-
Depends on which one you play regularly. For me, I bought the Dredge skin with Auric Cells and I'm currently buying the Artist skin with Iridescent Shards (I already got the body cosmetic) (EDIT: I now have both).
@TragicSolitude said:
I love the Artist skin. That mouth, omg, it's amazing. I don't even play her but I had to have it just in case I do try to play her again.
That Dredge skin is also really awesome. I don't love it as much as the Artist skin, but I'm more likely to play Dredge than Artist, so I got his skin, too.
But that's me. Which killer do you play more? I'd base your decision on that.
Artist has finally gotten a good, non-recolor head cosmetic from the Shop
-
Titanfall but with horses
-
These seem like giant skill issues
-
I'm surprised it isn't a set. Amazing skin

PR DMS was one of my main combos on clown and pinhead. His box search forces people off gens either through solving it or the chains themselves
Possesed chains also can knock survivors off gens. Definitely not weak on him
That's still quite situational.

Or maybe you played against survivors which has better skills than you?
DMS was never sucked, it was good perk. It is still good.
Nope, I got consistent value out of it almost every game I ran it. I stopped running it because I realized how weak it actually was

Just got destroyed on that map too due to a lot of breakable walls that you NEED to break in order to get the smallest chance at surv before they vault it
Yeah, my last game was on it too. Almost lost because of an Unbreakable -> shack -> main building, but they got cocky once the last Generator was done and I managed to get a 3k

Yeah, but I do like that map from a Survivor perspective. Lots of brush that is great for hiding in and letting the Killer walk right past you....if you're not dressed up like a Prom Queen, of course. :)
I think it's among my least favorite Maps from a Killer perspective.
Every single chase happens in the main building (which is busted, of course), because of the Map's small size, or on either the loop with 2 God Windows that loop into each other, or the L/T wall with a Breakable Wall in the middle, that makes it so it's also a God loop until the Breakable Wall is broken, at which point it becomes a regular L/T wall

In no way has DMS ever "sucked" since its buff
It has, on any Killer that wasn't Artist
-
You just seem to be going against bad Survivors.
As for DMS, it sucks, and it always sucked
-
Yes, it's bad, but at least there are no Breakable Walls, unlike Dead Dawg, which has too many of them, 90% of them needing to be broken so the Killer can do anything on that Map
-
Yeah no. I like it when my Perks do something

It’s getting reworked with the next chapter coming in autumn
im so happy
I'd still rather have it deleted than reworked, but it'll at least be better than currently
-
They're splitting it in half, thank God that Map is getting reworked

@Peanits said:
It's technically more likely, but it still will not be common. You should not expect to see ultra rare add-ons on your level 1 bloodweb simply due to the low number of nodes. This change makes the distribution a little more even, so you should see some higher rarity add-ons in addition to the lower rarity ones (similar to a higher level bloodweb).
By how much % does the chance to find a rarer Add-Ons increase per Prestige?
-
I've gotten an increase in DC, both as Killer and Survivor, and it's usually because they're mad something didn't go their way
-

It was if you pressured bit of gens. But I would not use it anymore without PR when the update drops.
Pressuring Generators didn't mean anything, I'd say DMS hurt you as a Killer more than it did the Survivors, unless you were playing Artist
-
DMS was never worth using imo
-
It's dead on everyone besides Plague

It's the build that gets the most kills though. Why would you need late game perks if your perks prevent late game from even happening?
You can't prevent end-game from happening against good Survivors, even with 4 slowdown Perks, unless you're Nurse or Blight
-
@SpaghettiVase said:

Killers were running with 4 slowdown perks before this "meta shake-up"
Which means they were using a mediocre build
-

BBQ and Self Care were meta, that's why they got changed.
Please tell me with a straight face how BBQ and Self-Care were meta
-
Conspicuous Actions are fine

Yeah, is very situational, depends on how the team work together, a very good killer that don't make mistakes so often, this will be a pian, and can be combined with CoB to have a plus of 200% faster regression and the notification, to keeping pressure
That's 4 slowdown Perks, which means the Killer has no info or late-game pressure, 2 of which that don't even work with each other.
That's a perfect guide on how not to make a Killer build
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3108779#Comment_3108779
That makes no sense because it was meta because it was equipped, and you dont know if the survivors are bad or not before youre in the match
It wasn't meta because it was popular, otherwise Self-Care and BBQ would count as meta Perks, which they weren't.
Would you rather run a build that works against bad Survivors, or good Survivors? That's what I thought
-

30s of DMS, 45s of POP a blight can easily pressure gens with DMS and guarantee a POP, I am main killer, and I know that combo will be ridiculous op on some killers, maybe u are brain-dead, I tried to see de best for everyone, survs and killers
That still won't work unless your team is bad.
PR hits Generator, Survivor work on it, Blight comes back, Generator gets blocked by DMS (around 20 second left on DMS, 35 on Pop) Survivor loops Blight, gets hit, DMS runs out and there's around 15 seconds on Pop. If the Survivor plays smart, the Pop will run out before the chase ends
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3108769#Comment_3108769
Is that why it was meta before?
Against bad Survivors, which are the majority. Good players had little-to-no problem with it, some Survivors even used it to their own advantage
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Well if it was so simple then why it was very meta before the balance update?
Also I think the main problem here is: It was nerfed and removed this combo so the meta perks are different but now it's again back... so nothing changed.
It wasn't meta, Survivors were just bad.
@Aztreonam78 said:
This combo has a very simple counter - when you see a red Aura of Survivor getting hooked, stand up from the gen to avoid the effect.
It is that simple! I don't understand what it the problem here.
The problem is that it's a weak combo
-
It's back, but only against bad Survivors, like always
-
I don't like the MoM "rework", but other than that, a pretty good patch for Survivors
-
@Sadako_Best_Girl said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3108652#Comment_3108652
That's the point, same with the """nerfed""" MoM. You have to get it to be useful with specific builds, both perks were never great on their own, it was the combos and synergies which made them beastly.
Slap fearmonger on top of the combo and you remove the dead brain dead easy counterplay.
It's still nigh useless with PR. It's mildly useful with Fearmonger, but at that point you're using 3 Perks just so that DMS activates, but it's still not guaranteed, because Survivors can just get off the Generator when they hear the Survivor got downed and avoid it.
A SWF also completely deletes DMS too
-
It's not overturned, no
-
It got nerfed, 30 seconds is meh.
Just because it could activate more often doesn't mean it will, the counterplay is brain-dead easy, and I'm surprised people genuinely thought it was meta even before PR's info interruption removal
-
@dinomazing said:
Yeah, I don't get this either.
Plus pain res/dms is very consistent value vs pain res/merciless is like a very rare occurrence that the killer honestly has no control over actually making happen. Like they just saw that one clip and made a knee jerk reaction. But honestly, I'd prefer risking 40seconds of merciless once in my life to avoid pain res/dms every match.
It's also so funny to me that they're like "the killer won't be notified" but like...they can see the gen blocked? 😂😂 And sure, you can let go early, but you can only teabag at your teammate to also let go so much.
PR/DMS doesn't have consistent value, not against Survivors with brains
-
PR/DMS is weak, stop whining and get off the Generator before the Survivor is hooked. PR/DMS/POP doesn't even work.
-
Didn't even know that combo existed
-
That's a really good streak, I can't imagine how hard it was to win 17 times in a row with 2 Perks lol.
My best was 14 with Artist with 4 Perks and Add-Ons so I had it easy lol
