I have prestiged all Killers on PC and I have seven prestiged Survivors. I started playing on PC in February 2020. How'd I do it? I think my ability to do this was increased rapidly by three things:
- Capitalized on the events DBD had (COVID Blood Rush, Anniversary Event),
- Completed All Tome Challenges (each Tome has two million plus blood points),
- And spent shards in the Shrine of Secrets for perk blood points (150,000 / 2,000 shards).
All of these are currently available options within the game.

I didn't mean to imply that they are doing it in order to make the game boring or didn't have a reason. I just feel that it is a big flaw that should be addressed, and I don't blame killers for doing it. The objective is to kill the 4 survivors, doing this increases the chances. Even if they spiced up the endgame or even would "penalize" the killer less for a survivor getting out of the hatch.
Well I mean to. It is boring for both parties involved. By just sacrificing the third survivor, fourth either gets out relatively quickly or dies relative quickly. Then everyone gets to start another trial. This has been the best path for me. It's probably blood point efficient, too, with less 'dead' time.
Let me add/re-emphasize that it is a flaw in the game that slugging the third is practically a requirement to try to guarantee a 4k. That's not because killers want to be boring and would agree that players should not face criticism for a game design flaw.
-
It is a flaw in the game. I have, after seeing how the game can extend, given up on this tactic in my normal course of gameplay as even I as killer find it super boring.
However, there are circumstances that required all four survivors sacrificed. The third tome that was released last week includes a "sacrifice all survivors by any means" challenge. This may be why you're having the "is it just me" moment. Also, today I worked on my Adept Nightmare challenge. So slugging is part of the requirement for guaranteeing the Adept.
@Ariamer said:
Is it just me or have killers slugged the 2nd last survivor for the 4k every single game. I get it, you want to get the 4k and I am okay if you slug and know where the survivor is or if you think you know where it is. But when you slug then I pick them up 1-4 times and you continue to slug is where I get annoyed. The worst is when I get into a locker to encourage the killer to hook so that I can finally get out of the game and they decide to just slug instead for that precious 4K.
I understand it is optimal but from a survivor perspective it is honestly one of the parts of the game that annoy me the most. I would rather be facecamped by a bubba or tunneled by a legacy P3 nurse so that I can at least get into a different game. However sitting on the ground doing nothing while the killer tries to find the last survivor (or until I bleed out which happens) is just plain awful.
Now I am curious to how they could make this better, I understand why it is done so that the last survivor doesn't get lucky and find the hatch (or is just waiting for their teammate to die). Personally I think it would be healthy for the game if when two survivors were left and one of them is in dying state that there is a button that can cause you to bleed out faster (such as 2 times faster which would be 2 minutes of dying over 4 minutes). As I feel one of the worst feelings in any game is having to wait around for your teammates to die while doing nothing for an extended period of time.
I am curious if anyone has any ideas or possibly shares my view of how unfun just waiting can be, especially when 99% of the time I just want out of the game. Hopefully something can be done to either speed up the process or even change it up so that it doesn't happen nearly as often.

The max healing speed is 100%, isn't it? I.e. you get no additional benefit from having 'botany knowledge' when 'we'll make it' is active.
WMI is poorly worded. The max healing was meant to say that you cannot get multiple WMI bonuses on one heal. It does in fact stack with Medkits, BK, Spine Chill, etc. Just not with another survivors WMI.

True, this is why some people (me) bind keys to look left and right, so you can turn that way forever without worrying
I did that for a while when I first had to ‘re-learn’ him on PC. It was really difficult, especially knowing how good I was on console, to get comfortable and feel competitive again.
I unbinded the keys now. I never use them.

Wait, how does PC get this amazing advantage? Do PC get a faster cooldown? Because last I checked, both PC and Console have the EXACT same effect barring Add-On use. What it sounds like, is that you're vs'ing a good Billy or Nurse. You can't nerf a killer just because someones outplaying you unfortunatly. If that were the case, every killer would just use a toy weapon and tickle you a little.
Billy’s chainsaw is easier to curve and manage with a controller in my opinion. The joystick forever goes in the direction pushed; the mouse runs out of pad.
-
I think he’s still strong too. Another nerf is pretty funny though. Like in a sad, unearned, but funny way.

Botany knowledge combined with We'll Make It makes for incredibly fast heels! Pulling people off the hook already gets you 100% increase healing speed for 90 seconds, and having Botany knowledge on top of that makes it all incredibly fast!
WMI + BK = 4.0 second heal
BK + SC = 21.4 second self heal
... roughly

Hello, the Doctor perk can be good on Myers for radius terror ?
P 1 = 0 meters
P 2 = 16 meters
P 3 = 32 meters
With the perk Doctor -8, so 8 meters in P2, in the game 8 meter it's huge or ?
Yes - many consider Monitor and Abuse strong on The Shape. Having a smaller terror radius is great on many killers. The down side is that the terror radius increases by sixteen meters in chase. So T2 goes from 8 to 24; T3 feom 24 to 40.
The terror radius increasing is why many recommend comboing it with Infectious Fright.

I’m hesitant to say exposed perks will be great on instadown killers.

I'm a bubba main and my build is bbq, iron maiden, pop and overcharge. I'd replace overcharge with that new perk dragons grip
-
I think Ghostface is fine as is and some of the ‘bugged’ claims may be just not knowing the details of his ability. Just because GF is spotted doesn’t mean he can be revealed. Also he has addons that reduce survivors ability to break him out at a distance.
The adjustment I would recommend is reducing his base cooldown from thirty seconds and nerfing the charge add ons. It’s not great that GFs feel they have to bring Chewed Pen.

I think the point is the OP barely plays killer and is a rank 20, so wants to prove someone inexperienced with killer can do it. People who play killer for hours on end daily getting good results with a weaker killer isn't really comparable.
When I switched platforms I could’ve made a similar claim about any character. I don’t know that beating up Grey and Yellow ranks will impress anyone.
Losing to them with Spirit would catch more eyes.
-
What killers are you recommending for Iron Maiden?
How do you feel about locker scream trolling?
@Justalittlepeeck said:
Title.
I've running that perk for like 50 games and this is just amazing:
- It counters BBQ counters.
- It counters head on, not fully but it creates huge threat to them and they will have to choose very good moment to Head On you if they don't want to get instadowned.
- It counters Inner strength&DS bitches who hop into locker, while threatening you with DS and Head On, then pop out healthy. NOT TODAY, GET DOWNED.
- It makes jumping into locker to avoid Chainsaw/Blink a literal death sentence to survivor, bc they just get 15 seconds of exposed and get smacked.
- It makes stealthy cowards` lives harder. Way harder.
- No more locker jumps midchase
Great perk. I'm glad it's not used very often, so survivors rarely expect that to happen and just get lost.
-
By these rules I can prove Pig is OP. Actually Truetalent has multiple vods with Wraith where he doesn’t lose the entire day. Or Scott Jund with Oni.

To be fair only the Ash was cheating/lagswitching.
His friends were just swarming me like most SWF players. But yeah that Ash should receive a ban. I reported him in-game and could use this clip (without the censor bars) for a report ticket. However is his in-game name even enough information to ban him?
It's not like I was able to open his steam profile or something since I'm on console so he probably just changed his in-game name after the match I guess.
Cross play reporting is a concern for me too. I’m not sure on DBD’s end but would like to hear that it’s the same as normal.
-
This is lag switching. Record video and send a support ticket to report. Their accounts can be banned.
-
I had this happen recently as well. Two console survivors (I’m Steam) would lag switch when I got near them. There character would run into a wall (lag) but the hitbox wasn’t present. I’d sometimes catch them but they brought boiled over and I was unable to hook.
I recorded the video but it’s awkward reporting cross platform.
-
The solution to DS is killers learning how to play around DS. It needs a buff if anything.
-
What makes you think they’re mad?
Its actually pretty funny and sometimes they mess up the timing and just get pulled out of a locker. Also to jump on what Batax said above, it’s an inefficient action. No ones winning because of that but it is funny.

For body blocking being labeled as "not bannable" could that be clarified for when survivors block a killer (killer can hit through to stop) v Killer blocking survivor/survivor blocking survivor (can't move)? Think alot think they can't report the can't move body blocking as griefing.
This is my feeling as well. Body blocking is too vague for the different scenarios.

They played like crap, still could do 4 gens. Kate / Zarina just did something else, where not even tunneled, still forced their DS out by offensive plays you could not make without it.
Conclusion: Gen speed too fast and DS is not a anti-tunnel perk, it's just an excuse for survivors to be invulnerable for one minute.
I completely disagree with your conclusion. Especially considering it was an easy 4K. Stop dropping chases. Stop falling for every dead hard. Don’t pick up survivors who are baiting DS is you’re worried about DS.
The fact he got through multiple flashlight save attempts is incredible.

Just nerf infectious fright.
It’s not an Oni problem.
-
Cashel!
-
Just heads up, grabs cannot be done on fast vaulting survivors.
-
Absolutely ridiculous to call comms cheating. The DBD discord should be the obvious tell.
The problem, as always, is other players being better at the mechanics of the game.
-
No, I don’t believe so. It’s about going through the breaking animation (walls, gens, pallets).
-
Tip to players on these Tome challenges: you can bring a fourth perk so long as you have the three required perks. I brought BBQ on Huntress and Legion. Because bloodpoints.
-
That’s an exciting play only in that 99/100 two survivors die in that scenario. It’s awesome but there’s a reason it’s not recommended.
-
Sounds like okay plays to me? 🤷♂️
-
It works like that. If you get pallet stunned while blinking you also go through the stun animation and fatigue.
-
Huntress is better situationally. Deathslinger is better all around/in more situations.
-
I have yet to get stuck as killer. I’ve been able to lunge out of it. I’m so confident that I as killer won’t get stuck that I help survivors get unstuck. If they continuously get stuck over and over I remove them from the game.
It’s funny the first time.
The idea that either side could be banned for this is ridiculous to me. Neither side can be called abusive after seeing the same guy get stuck three times at the same hill after helping them out of it. Then I would be banned by some of the above posters if they were dictator of DBD because I hooked them on the second or third goof.
This is an inconvenience, not an abuse of an exploit.
-
I would give up current mori for nothing. This isn’t politics. Current mori is quite lame outside experiencing the animation.
@Primalux135 said:
I would give mori if devs would fix genrush gladly. Im in one of those that think that mori should be perk related like you got a perk that ######### you but if you fullfill conditions you can enjoy a mori animation.
-
Fight to the finish no doubt. I want to overcome. Not hit a piece of wood.

Interesting. Oni has the best power in the game. But like The Shape takes effort to build it up.

I was able to unstick going left as well. Hard to explain this to survivors as killer though. I m1 to their left and if charades doesn’t click for the survivors I down them and pick em up to remove them, then leave em slugged.
-
I play mostly Billy. I decided to switch to Pig for prestiging but I will mostly play Billy soon enough. I still go addon less and he’s perfectly fine.
-
I cannot believe the replies in this thread. Do you not realize you are sheltering enemies of the state?
-
I don’t mind at all. A major flaw in the SWF argument is that it’s not the clicking SWF button that irritates killers in my estimation. It’s that playing against better players is the problem.
For all the talk of getting dominated by SWFs, there’s none about all the SWFs the killers turn upside down. Because those aren’t really SWFs.
I am not convinced this isn’t a skill problem yet. They can talk to each other but the mechanics of the game remain the same.
-
@malatruse said:
Does it have to be 15 in one trial?
This challenge is in a single trial. I have to say I didn't find this challenge that difficult. Huntress is a lot of fun and hitting hatchets is kinda her thing. Running around M1'ing is not the play.
-
If you are a console player, there are two other platforms that could be pulling survivors in. Although you seem intent on complaining about PC survivors, you may be actually upset with other console brethren.
The only way to know if the other players are console is to play on PC, and even then if the game was purchased on Microsoft Store, it could show the globe symbol as well.
Good luck bud. Looking at the level of skill in my matches today, I'm pretty sure a lot of players are going to derank over the next week or so.
@IMhereRUN said:
Bare in my mind, I’m certain this doesn’t apply to everyone. I just completed my 31st killer game and 20th survivor game since crossplay. So although it’s early, here’s what I’ve learned:
As killer, I’m going to ramshack through survivors without barely trying. As survivor, we’re all going to die or one hatch out. Why?
-Over-excessive use of altruism. Running to hooks in chases, grouping together allowing the killer to only have to patrol 25% of the map rather than applying pressure to the whole map, taking useless protection hits for no good reason at all, just to instigate a quickly ended chase when the killer gets the hook you tried protecting.
-Scared to Death. While I appreciate a survival-horror game to stay in its genre, DBD simply doesn’t offer much of it on the survivor side anymore. But these guys just hide around the map, only get on a gen or go for an unhook while another survivor is being picked up. They run off a gen as SOON as the TR hits (when applicable), even if someone else is being chased.
-Never heard of looping? I’ll be on a gen watching a chase from across the map a bit, no one takes good pathing! Pallets are only used to try forcing a killer to break them so they can get distance rather than looping it to buy the team time. No joke, this is my ACTUAL REAL in-game stat. The longest a random PC survivor teammate has endured a chase (from injured to down) is 24.8 seconds. While I understand the above listed mistakes leave you outpositioned and such, this is just another reason to stop making these poor choices!
Barely a day in, I’m already about to disable CrossPlay. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll turn it on for killer if I fancy myself an easy game, but I’m just not sure I want to keep carrying.
Enough with the useless banter, my legit question is: Are the good PC survivor players NOT enabling CrossPlay? I’m genuinely curious.
-
Sounds like OP got got. Don't cast down all console players because you had a poor game.
Sometimes when prestiging a new killer, NOED is the best perk I have available. I'm not going to not take it lol.
-
I do not dodge.
Every dodge reason I've read (before this thread and in this thread) hasn't really been much of a sign of survivor skill in my experience. Most TTV's are terrible. I get excited at the challenge of a key; only to be disappointed by an unspectacular 4k game. Toolboxes do not make much of a difference. Flashlights are easily countered with game knowledge.
I am capable of losing. No argument there. But I never know I am going to lose until I do. All of the above are not tells to me on why.
-

Right. Only PC players really know that they’re playing against a person on a console. Consoles could get the globe for other consoles or maybe PC.

Well, hard to argue with that. Awesome sauce. See you in the fog.
@Aneurysm said:
Who told pc players they were the best?
PC players.
It's also really early to be coming out with definitive judgements - "PC killers always do this" "why does every console survivor do this"
crossplay just started, at the same time as rank reset and a weird matchmaking system which shifted people around being disabled.
-
Hag. First killer on console but got tired of her mechanics after playing other killers. On PC I was really hesitant to play her due to the issues I felt I’d seen on PlayStation. Found her massively more enjoyable.
-
When I transitioned to PC, I felt PC survivors were more difficult to play than my console days. PS4. I thought it was weird how many console killers were complaining back then tbh.
