There is value is hooking survivors faster. Agitation allows the killer to get to the next chase faster.
Also Agitation provides the killer access to a larger number of hooks. This makes it more valuable when combined with Scourge Hook perks. The killer may actually reach them for each hook.
Also Agitation increases the killers terror radius while carrying. This makes all terror radius based perks more effective. Especially Starstruck. The killer can cover half the map and apply SS over a wide berth.
And this is why my Nurse build is Pain Resonance, Agitation, Starstruck.
-
Nope. Do the challenges as they come out and there are small First Game of the Day bonuses for playing killer and survivor. Both are +300 each.
-
BBQ is good on Pinhead. If you know where the survivors are on the map respective to yourself, you can get a feel for where the box will spawn.
-
Twins are a top five killer. I think they’re having a hard time justifying QOL changes because of that.
I would personally love if Victor could vault windows (just cause of Haddonfield) and snuff boons.
-
I think Jolt should apply 24% gen regression, period. If it hits one gen, 24%. Two gens, 12%. Three gens, 8%. Etc.

The man created a thread asking for help to go against what he perceives to be quite a formidable foe, and you reply to someone else suggesting she gets a buff to her one small weak spot lmao
You’re cruel bro 😂. Rephrase in a way to help @Adaez (and the rest of us) on how to counter/exploit her please. 🙏
:)
OpenX, the person I was quoting, detailed out all her counterplay that I find troublesome when playing Artist. My comment was on point lol but what you said is kinda valid.
-
I played a four man twice in a row yesterday. Both matches were 3k’s with the fourth barely getting out. They weren’t happy with the outcomes of either match.
I just figure they weren’t used to losing.
-
I just quietly record, report, and save a link to their steam to see how long before a ban is issued.
Last one took one day.
Couple of weeks ago I reported a player who was holding me hostage. In the first few minutes of it happening I wrote up a support ticket and the hostage taker player was ‘disconnected.’ I don’t know but I imagine that might’ve been a forced DC on the backend. If the cheater wanted out the match they would’ve just stopped the trial and moved on.
-
On Hillbilly I would go BBQ/Enduring/Pain Resonance/Ruin/Spirit Fury/[Bamboozle, Tinkerer/Undying]. Probably Tinkerer.
On Oni BBQ/M&A/IF/Pain Resonance/PGTW/Whispers.
Basically I would stop exchanging perks out and run all the good stuff.

Flashlights, similar to hag, totally neuter her at loops. And flashlights are probably the second most popular survivor item behind medkits.
Hiding, similar to how you deal with any other really strong killer.
Holding W, predropping, and if you get stuck at a loop trying to run it so that you run into the bird and just get crows instead of it damaging you.
Faking right as you walk into the flight path of a bird, etc etc.
This matches my sentiments about Artist. She’s in need of buffs to help her deal with all of these. Shorter recharge on shooting crows is I think my primary recommendation. The other is crow bombs should probably be reinstated. Also consider making the cooldown faster for Artist after her crows are taken away by flashlights Or running through them.

She's definitely not weak. Just immobile. Artist is one of those killers who can get away with not kicking jungle gym pallets or even the shack if you are playing her very well. There is almost no looping a good artist.
I always use the thick tar + festering carrion which are her best addons atm imo. Being able to shotgun blast 3 crows through a wall if someone is already swarmed is pretty nutty and those addons make it much easier to pull off.
The fact that you have to use cooldown related add ons is a problem. I think it’s more about the shooting off two or three birds though.
-
Weak killer. I think she needs buffs to her basekit cooldowns.
-
I play most of the killer roster. It’s just by mood or I see a good vod of a killer on YouTube. But I always come home to Hillbilly.
-
Prestige - Noun - Widespread respect and admiration felt for someone or something on the basis of a perception of their achievements or quality.
This is the purpose of prestiging. Anyone remember the older Call of Duty games? It did not reward the players with much of anything. People did it because it took a long time and gave a sense of progression.
I'm all for that. I prestige every character because I enjoy building up each character, I have a completionist gamer mentality, and because I do not want to deal with the cost of not prestiging early and wanting to do it later on.

Quentin hasn’t been mentioned enough. One of the best P3s.

Got mine yesterday evening. It actually crashed the game and booted me out of a winning trial. Annoying, but nice surprise when I booted up the game again.

STBFL, pop, scourge, bbq
I was using this build but switched Pop for Ruin. The passive gen regression worked better for my Spirit. In truth, I think Pain Resonance is all the gen regression most killers need. But it helps for those tough teams.

YAY MY PLAN OF BRINGING SPIRIT PLAYERS IN IS COMING THROUGH!!!
Anyway, to answer your question, I have some builds that you can try:
Pallets are you friend:
- Enduring
- Spirit Fury
- Brutal Strength
- Any other perk you want
- Uchiwa
- Kintsugi Teacup
Gen bamboozle:
- Dragon's Grip
- Discordance (or any other good gen detection perk)
- Any other two perks
- Wakizashi Saya
- Duration add on
Map wide gen pressure:
- Dead Man's Switch
- Discordance (again, any good gen detection perk will do)
- Any other two perks
- Furin
- Second add on doesn't matter, but I'd recommend a speed add on with it
Other fun add ons I didn't mention:
- Senko Hanabi
- Yakuyoke Amulet (I'd recommend not running this with Mother-Daughter Ring when you're starting to learn Spirit as you'll rely on it too much, but it's fun and interesting by itself)
- Brown add ons are all good
- Yellow add ons are all good minus the Juniper Bonsai
Hope all your Spirit games go well :))))
Let me recommend Yakuyoke Amulet to be paired with Furin. Turns out survivors don’t do well with 8.5 seconds of phasing noise. This does reduce Spirit to about 150% movement speed, but I love this combination.
For this build I use Ruin, Undying, Thrill of the Hunt.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=beFrdm4MOcIMy usual build however is:
- Pain Resonance
- Ruin
- Save the Best for Last
Barbecue and Chili is always a must.

I'm very familiar with these, thank you. I'd have to say your interpretation of Kpop fashion is poor if you really think these are anywhere close to the Trickster's cosmetics. "They both look the same, I can't tell the difference" is a pretty naive thing to say when talking about a culture you're not familiar with, you know.
I think you are just being rude now:
-
OP these are serious allegations so I did some research. In seconds of searching "KPop Outfits" and looked at images I got this:
OP - I think you should apologize.
-
You have to burn an offering and another player has to collect your envelope.
-
I’m oddly endeared by the SAW charms. Excited to get those up on my Pig’s hooks. Pigs cosmetics look great. Hillbilly has a goof cosmetic to wrap the Tome up too.
The St Pattys day cosmetics are really solid. Looking forward to playing with Deathslinger’s.

@some_guy1 said:
most of them are kinda stupid tbh(which is not bad), they litteraly made hillbilly a milk man and gave a weapon made out of milk bottles
Half of Hillbillies cosmetics are a goof. The skin suit was his first serious looking cool cosmetic since his Blighted Skin.
-
See you tomorrow
-
They have to determine who earned the cosmetics then issue it out. Or something. Soon^tm
-
I was looking over Yui’s cosmetic earlier. It’s the first cosmetic I can think of where every individual piece looks good, except when combined. The head looks great with other base cosmetics, but terrible in the set.
-
I just checked and still have Meg's Deathgarden mask. Steam.
-
I also don’t know what that means.
-
Killers that have to down with basic attacks are not S tier imo. I would put Oni in the same charge up category as Plague but Oni doesn’t lose his power when stunned by pallets.
-
I want it all
-
That form provides them the information needed to issue a developer ban.
-
Can’t believe I read that whole thing. Only thing I would add is the developers emphasis on the MMRs predictive ability.
By being able to predict the outcomes of players matched against each other, it is able to better place those players together in matches. Complicating the code to include more factors muddies up the math. The developer explained this and people still want to argue that an emblem like system is better.
We already had that.
-
That’s the perks I run on Deathslinger too. Pain Resonance has been such a good addition.
-
I actually kinda enjoy this map. Once a pallet is down, that whole area is a deadzone. It doesn’t always work out well for me. I’ve been stomped on this map before, but most of the time it’s not the case and downs get easier and easier.
Also the Game might be Nurses best map. She crushes on it every time.
-
I had a Deathslinger match like that a week ago. Azarovs. Only one hook in a corner of the map and it was broken by Jeffs perk. Three minutes. I tried to hook them away but they wiggled off.
Fast forward a few minutes.
Three survivors slugged in the same corner. I just found the fourth and by the time he was hooked the first hook was back and two of the slugs crawled enough to hook in other places.
One of the players tried the “Why??!1” complaint in the end game chat but just reiterated what happened and another survivor took my side/admitted to it.
-
@GannTM said:
One thing I’ve noticed from playing him is trying to cast a gateway and waiting to shoot isn’t the best play because it causes you to get disoriented and miss. You need to cast it out toward the survivor and fire immediately which gives them less time to react and it ensures they don’t gain more distance than you.
Agreed. Cast and shoot as fast as possible.
Also learn when to cancel. He’s Deathslinger esque in that it’s better not to shoot when they are wriggling around. They’re losing distance and there’s no cast cancel penalty.
-
Im going to restate the story. Let me know if this sounds right:
OP brought two new players to the game and inflated their MMR by carrying them through matches that were higher than their natural MMR would’ve likely been without the SWF. When no longer playing in the SWF they got torn apart.
That on point? Sounds like OP you pushed those players above the 1-25 bracket before they were ready and now have to figure out Calculus without taking Trigonometry if that makes sense (happened to me in High School).
-
When I face cheaters I start recording. Make sure to read the instructions when reporting to BHVR and the platform. They ask for specifics that are easy to misread.
-
I would address Artist’s cooldowns first. Especially the long cooldowns after shooting two or three birds. Her four bird Egg purple add on is more punishing than rewarding as another example of cooldowns being too egregious.
Also the Artist is punished for setting up a second bird after her first is run through by a survivor. The cooldown is treated like shooting two birds even though only one was actually shot.
-
They can be in two places. Also Victor cannot be dodged; the killer player just misses.
Their snowball is amongst the best and if one or two players are killed before gens are done, the Twins can usually prevent the gates from being opened.
-
It's like we (the DBD Forum community) are trying to convince ourselves of the narrative that Twins are not a high tier killer in the hopes to trick the developers, who already said they are a "monster in high MMR", into giving them QOL changes. In that case. I'm on board.
-
Feedback forum.
-
I think the Iridescent Lamentation Box add on is better, personally. Mixed with Torture Pillar for less time to start the chain hunt and it's constant trouble for the survivors.
-
I know: because they lost and you made them lose.
-
I didn’t find anything wrong with the developers explanation. But I guess I can’t make a video interesting by agreeing with the eViL kNoW nOtHiNg DeVs with that.
-
Every community seems to think their community is the most toxic. Just visit another reddit channel or forum. Rainbow six was one I found interesting recently. Or look at how the Battlefield community talks about their developers.
Like just as another example some of y’all don’t even know what game(s) teabagging came from but ‘this one’ is the offensive one.

And you clearly didn't read anything beyond that because the entire rest of the post is talking about why that logic is faulty and fails to solve anything.
I can think of a time that Twins as a camping killer was addressed: Twins are likely the reason (emphasis on THE REASON) Borrowed Time was buffed to no longer include hearing the killers terror radius. Camping isn't unique to Twins. Having one of the strongest brown add ons in the game is unique to Twins. And they barely nerfed it.
But tell me straight up that you do not want Twins 0.05 seconds back for Toy Sword. If you somehow don't, your whole post falls apart.
I think they do have the root of it and this thread is like we're supposed to pretend that Twins is a bad killer and undeserving of these minor nerfs.
-

It's like you didn't even read the post. The problem has nothing to do with the nerfs themselves. The problem is not the what, but the why. The nerfs are meaningless and only serve to demonstrate that BHVR doesn't know what the root of the problem is.
Also, for the record, the Iridescent Pendant buff is a joke. 45 seconds isn't enough to justify the drawback of having to surrender your entire power to both activate and get value out of it.
Last sentence in OPs first paragraph: "They said more or less that "Twins' play rate and kill rate are low in lower MMR, but absolutely monstrous in high MMR, so we nerfed their best addons.""
It's your thesis statement.
-
It's basically just MDR is busted. But Spirit has counterplay now and it takes a bit longer to get downs in general lately.
-
It’s like the underlying issue of Twins being one of the strongest killers in the game is being ignored by this thread. You are fighting for a brown add on. Why? Cause it makes a busted killer more busted.
They buffed the iridescents and not one of you cares. Just the brown add on “please devs.” They should delete Toy Sword and knock us all off the nipple.
