Did the survivor win? Sounds like a scenario where you’d just chase them down again.
-
You can’t really dodge a bottle. It was automatically no exhaustion if the killer was decent. With GF and Huntress there’s still a chance.
-
I don’t think Nurse needs exposed hits either. The developers look like they’re up to something with stacking slowdowns so that may not be the threat (stacking them) we think it is.

Any ideas?
Break the survivor rulebook and you'll find yourself in quite a few competitive matches. Understand what's called the 'macro strategies' of DBD mixed with good mechanics and situational awareness. Voila! You're pretty much competitive with the evil four man swfs.
The players I team up, who run around being nightmares to a bunch of killers; still lose to my killer. It makes me think that a lot of SWF concerns may boil down to poor killer gameplay.
-
I posted in Bug Reporting that BBQ awards no end of match points if there’s only three stacks. From a disconnecter or someone escapes unhooked. Did you have a similar experience OP?

This only works against people that dont know what you are doing while it works on most maps, it doesnt work well on vertical maps like RPD or pallet town.
PR, DMS, Deadlock, BBQ. Down and hook the first guy you see, look at the survivors auras with bbq and send 3 birds on those gens. Survivors will get off them and they will be locked for 45 seconds. Face camp the guy on hook during those 45 seconds and wait a few seconds more till they hit 2nd stage then make your way over to the closest active gen and start patrolling for a survivor to rinse and repeat. Alternatively you can also just hard tunnel the guy on hook that already hit 2nd stage.
Its easy to counter honestly but works really well against usual pubs. Hell works really well against usual swfs as well.
The key to making her competitive seems to be BBQ and DMS. I personally prefer Corrupt Intervention and Discordance for the other two perks. Same thinking as yours but I found Pain Resonance doesn’t really provide a much larger effect over the information from discordance.

Its an easy pick for Trickster and Huntress.
Does it activate when Dredge teleports to or leaves a locker?
It does not.
-
I just do it with Wraith. Take control of the match, then race car around listening for the water buzzing noises.
-
This so lengthy that to properly respond would take quite a lot of effort. In short, many of the perk ideas in here are great. Iron Maiden. NOED. Great.
Many are bad. Brutal strength.
The basekit buffs are way too much.
I think I would nitpick just a few cherries from the perk ideas.

Escape the trial using ONLY No Mither and NO OTHER PERKS? Are you joking?? This challenge exists solely to make people endlessly throw games! This challenge needs to be removed. It's literally worse than going into a match perkless! Especially for solo queue, this challenge is so incredibly unfair to rest of the team, and because it's a tome challenge you run a huge risk of 2+ people in a single match running the perk over and over. This was a terribly designed challenge.
Am I the only one that enjoys the challenges from the Tomes? Like, it is called a ‘challenge’ for a reason.
Or let’s start a petition to call them ‘slight inconveniences’ from now on so we can avoid anything remotely difficult.

Thanks, Cashel.
I do wonder with the expected Prestige rework releasing in a couple of months, if saving bloodpoints like this makes a difference at all anymore? When I purchase new characters, everything will be unlocked instantly.
-
They removed a boring exploit
-
It’s still one out of four chance of key with five opportunities to eliminate blocking a single box. So 25, 50, 75, 100 is the direct answer to your question.

Never noticed that Cannibals charge time was shorter than Hillbilly’s.

There are 2 possible explanations for this.
1) that is not your friend
2) you are toxic
But what if you flip a coin enough times and one day it lands on its edge?

I’m sorry killa
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to make you cry
but tonight
I’m tbagging at the exit gate

So what you’re saying is you’d like to go back to 4-5 years when there was no SWF so you can play killer again??
Kerj - You are cordially invited to come to my discord and I can show you how much of a non-issue playing modern killer is.

Ah, of course, when you win, and leave the killer with nothing
Yeah, most likely. Again I don’t trust farming killers.
Maybe play the game? I’m not interested in farming matches. They are a long drawn out borefest mixed with possibility of a killer pulling a twist for duh memes.

I had no idea his lunge was faster with the add-ons. Do you know if the extra lunge speed lets him flick further?
I don’t have an official confirmation. It is my assumption that it does based on playing as and against him a considerable amount.
The lunge feels different with the addons.
-
First of all, Blight has a great basekit mixed with likely the best set of addons in the game. Seriously everything from yellow to iridescent is high end.
My issue with the Blighted Rat and Blighted Crow addons is [I believe] they not only massively increase movement speed, but his lunge attack coming out of the rush, too. The faster ‘rush’ lunge is what makes these addons so difficult to play around.
Without these, his rush lunge feels considerably slower and in a way feels like it could be juked.
So my suggestion is for BHVR to review his lunge coding.
-
Huntress is perfecto right now. More killers need her addon treatment like Legion just got.
Like Billy.

Would you prefer SWF’s get removed from public matches and restricted to Kill With Friends Mode?
I get that you’re like politicking for your SWF argument but I don’t think you read OPs body. He’s talking about players quitting.

Well I'm gonna need you to start because I need BP.
I might trust the farming killer.. might.. when all five gens are complete.

My first game of the Blood Hunt and I'm farming as Doctor. Do the usual to let the survivors know I'm just playing chill and farming. Some don't get it or don't care which is fine. I hook them for my BBQ stacks and let them go. Open my messages and it's "Thanks for the bp gay noob" lmfao. And I'm very serious. Eh, it is what it is.
I don’t trust ‘farming’ killers.

If I knew whether a given lobby had SWFs or not, I would dodge 100% of the time and I don't even mind going up against them that horribly, especially once I'm Iri rank 1 and depipping is no longer an issue. It's just a very easy way to make the game more fun, so I would always use it and I suspect the overwhelming majority of killers would as well, leading to insane que times for SWFs.
Buff SoloQ, rebalance maps and killers. That's the only way. And of course make an actual skill based MMR so that we can know what's OP and what isn't.
I knowingly play SWFs all the time. Not sure why people are scared of them.
-
Lol no. Remember, it’s only an evil SWF if you lose lol.
-
Probably not intended.
-
Reduce Deathslinger’s Terror Radius to 24m and nerf M&A’s effect on 24m killers. There’s only like two anyways that don’t have a lullaby: Hag, Spirit.
-
Nope. It’s generated some excitement for the future but for now what I’m raring for is: the Blood Hunt tomorrow, the third part of the Tome to unlock in a couple of days, new chapter in two weeks, and the first Anniversary event a week after that (Twisted Masquerade, June 16th).
Probably a major difference between us is I’ve already P3’d all the characters and unlocked all perks on all killers and 15/30 survivors. My grinds been over.
People like OP are trying to determine if they want to make up some of the grind theyve put off before the mid chapter. That’s like two months from now, bud.
-
My build is BBQ (bloodpoints), Ruin, Pain Resonance (slowdown and info), and I’m All Ears.
IAEs is so good on killers like Ghostface. You know exactly where the survivor is and they don’t know where you are (Night Shroud); instantly the king of mind games.
-
Good question! Probably not!

"I lost a gen, there is nothing i can do anymore" ... thats just a bad players issue.
I agree. Let’s not make too many changes for the lowest denominator.
I bet there are hundreds of games I won that OP would’ve surrendered on.
-
It’s not clear how the mori will work with two survivors downed like your scenario, but it may well just end automatically once the hatch opened. The rework is planned for Halloween; around the same time Mikhaila released last year.
-
I don’t know what else they could do. Looking forward to the reveal. And the reveal is expected for the next Mid Chapter. I suspect that’ll be around four to five weeks from now.
My guess is it’ll be announced with the PTB around June 21.
-
Buff addons. That’s it. Give him the Legion treatment.

was wondering how it is for killer on the red ranks.....
maybe im just an bad-average survivor main at best that needs to git gud...
maybe mmr is just still trash, no matter how much you get sacrificed you still get the sweaty killers on your heels. especially after peak-hours
maybe i just need to play killer more to git gud with survivor...(which i try to do more since i get tired of getting no pips anyways)
maybe my mmr is just too high (which i highly doubt kekw)
was just wondering how other people feel about this

yeah killer can get 24k 10 hooks and 3k and still no pip.
So easy
I pip killer without effort, frankly. Survivor is the one that takes me a while.
-
For survivor, I agree.
-
No question in my mind, it is: David, Laurie, then Bill. After that is whatever. Thats five meta perks between them. Maybe Meg or Mikhaila next.

@TheSubstitute said:
Possibly but very difficult in solo queue. Hook trading might be a necessity and, generally, killers that camp a lot have underdeveloped chase skills in comparison to killers that don't camp in their bracket.
If someone is willing to hook trade it becomes a lot easier to get the group out. It's harder to see in solo queue but I do see random players taking protection hits in sequence to get everyone out (ie. in my last game before this, the killer was camping quite understandably since all gens were done, one person took a hit, unhooked the camped survivor, I then went behind the unhooker and took a hit and we ran to the nearby exit gate).
Then, every so often, you'll one hook since your three teammates will be crouching together behind a rock on one side of the map, the killer will be on another side of the map and you'll be nowhere near any of them. Such is solo queue.
This might sound terrible but the really good killers are good in chase and good at making survivors pay for unhooks. Just because a killer camps doesn’t mean the killer isn’t able to chase efficiently. It’s all situational awareness.
If survivors prioritize generators for the first forty seconds of a hook state, I will prioritize camping the last twenty seconds to make it a cost.
-
It is an exploit imo. Don’t know how anyone can argue. Blight and Oni are supposed to have caps on their flick radius by design.
But I agree with the upset killer players in this thread that it is not that big a deal. It should be patched out; these killers are already strong enough with their intended flick.
Hope that makes sense. Yes, it’s an exploit. Yes, it should be removed. No, no one should get “in trouble” for using it.

Pinhead is really solid

The difference is the condemnation meter.
Condemned needs a rework before Sadako's teleport can be touched.
Bingo. They said they considered making all the tvs reset when all tvs are on cooldown. May reconsider that.
-
Dredge is getting buffed post PTB. Not nerfed. And the other killer powers are better teleports sans Night Time Spooky Thing.
-
I tend to buy up sales. If the skins cool, I jump on it. Every halloween outfit (the blighted skins) are pretty much auto buy. I do enjoy spending time perusing the store as well. Window shopping.
New skins oddly make killers feel brand new again.
-
Ghostface is the trick.

That's what the news story says. This is probably a misinterpretation by OP.

Grinding on every single character to get anniversary items was awful - Also needing to play a specific character to do so was also awful. I'm happy with less mask that are more detailed. Would honestly prefer these being a reward in some Archive themed thing than how it was done prior. Felt awful to get the last ones.
I agree. They seemed to have changed this with the Winter and Chinese New Year events. This’ll probably go the same way. Unlocked over time just for playing.

See you tomorrow

Yeah, I’ve meetings when it starts. Was hoping to watching the beginning at least.
