There was a blood hunt. Then an xp hunt. We just ended the double daily hunt. Now we’re on the invitation hunt.
-
I love it. Adds excitement to the new chapter. Like why would they choose not-the-new-chapter?
-
I saw a cheater yesterday. First one in months. I was playing survivor and noticed they moved oddly. Started following them around and they eventually started blatantly cheating. Disconnected randomly, mid-movement. Makes me think the anti-cheat got them.
But just in case it didn’t, I uploaded a vod and reported in end game screen, submitted a ticket, and reported on Steam.

My tip to new Doctor players is that his power is stronger after the pallet is thrown. A lot of players not used to Doc try to shock survivors to prevent them from throwing the pallet; that's a mistake.
Kill shack becomes an un-vault-able deathtrap once they throw the pallet.
-
Extremely strong crop of killers with a new twist of spookiness. Three of them are very competitive killers that feel good to play as.
None will crack the top five because they don’t have both strong antiloop and map mobility. But they are extremely strong in one area of another.
Cenobite has the best passive ability in the game. His loop power is a bit of a weaker Clown. Both powers combined = very oppressive killer.
Artist has a chase ability that kinda works passively too. You don’t actually have to place her birds to convince survivors to leave loops. Combined with being 115, can make survivors feel they have no options. Mix certain gen perks with info perks, she can cause a lot of headaches. Very fun to play as once you get a feel for her.
Sadako is spooky. I do not care what anyone says. She’s a jumpscare Myers, all the time. She even scares the killer players in the menu. I do think she needs creative buffs but it’s hard to do mixed with her ability to straight up kill a player.
Dredge. First impressions is his map mobility is insanely high. Instant A-tier area. He has a weak anti loop by returning. But once in nightfall, his map mobility is actually pretty good antiloop as well. With no red stain, survivors lose tracking often in loops, opening opportunities to surprise survivors. He’s definitely got the boogeyman vibe they wanted. Genuine gasps of terror moments. Plus you can snag accidental/easy hooks just teleporting about.
I am happy with this lot. Many more games to come playing with them all. What is interesting is the learning curve difference with these last four. I feel people really did not understand Cenobite or Artist on release at all. Something to think about.

People hoard them because the toxicity during anniversary events is at an all time high. It's usually the time when there's the most camping and tunneling and people don't want to reward that if they're tunneled out of the game in the first couple of mins into the match. They'd rather wait to use offerings when people have calmed down a bit after the event
“Camping.” “Tunneling.” Or maybe not. Its an exciting event so any loss is amplified.
It’s like the thought process is: 1.) I lost, but 2.) I brought a cake. By my calculations that makes the winner a mean person.
-
Thanks Cashel. I was gonna use today to Prestige Haddie before the event kicks off. My Dredge is ready to go for tomorrow.
-
Okay, I’ll do it, but not because you asked me to.

"they also boost survivor speed as well"
You don't see how that defeats the purpose of the suggested change in the first place?
Pfft. Try some imagination.
If survivors and killers move faster and loops take less time to complete, then when the survivor makes a mistake. The killer capitalizes much quicker. Get hit. Also being faster makes mindgames successful at a faster clip, even if survivors move faster too. The reaction speed would be the same, but killer arrives much more quickly.
If your premise is if survivors move a little quicker too that it completely negates the benefits of the killer moving faster, you might want to rethink it.
-
100% breaks the game. Loops are tuned now around 110/115 killers. It would be interesting if they also boosts survivor speed as well. But that’d be the only way.
-
It’d be awesome from a fan perspective but agree that it’s probably too much to reasonably be accomplished. The killers they do release are in design for potentially years and it takes a lot to get one right.
-
Demo’s best build is the same as most M1 killers: BBQ, STBFL, and two gen regression perks of your choosing.
I prefer Ruin and Pain Resonance because both are passive regression.
-
If you’re the kind of player that earned a full hour ban, I don’t want to play with you anyways. Hope you find something else, bud.
-
His basekit is really strong so they gave him poor addons. I don’t have issues playing him tbh, often feeling that two gen regression perks is overkill. But really wish he had more good addons to pick from.
Most addons have no effect on the match or are nullified by the map. Turn speed addons or the Iri Brick become wasted if Lery’s pops up for example.
Also, Engravings are massively overrated by the Billy community. The additional chargetime makes his saw unusable at many many loops. Too many. I imagine many new Billy players are playing with his ‘best’ addons and rightfully having a terrible experience.
-
Feels the same.
-
I think of it as a “polite protest.” When I’m being generous with the story I tell myself about losing players.
-
It’s to increase the grind. Wait til you realize you spent 3000 on an offering that ‘at best’ returns 4000 points.
Those are the good ones. Or 4000 cost for 6000 return. 5000 for 8000, maybe.
-
Did this during the PTB. The animations that play during his locker grabs look great.
Yesterday I started a match with Darkness Revealed. Saw survivors were locking all the lockers at the start and nailed one with a teleport shortly after. Feels good man.
-
They gave us every bonus they could the last three weeks. Blood hunt. Double xp last week. Double dailies this week.
I don’t think the move is to ask for more when so much is still planned next week on top of what we’ve already gotten.
Its a nice small emphasis by the developers. Let it go if this makes you upsetti spaghetti.
-
About forty seconds.
-
I think of it as survivor sided as well and use to lose it a bit when streamers said it was killer sided too. The reason it’s ‘killers sided’ is because it’s a very small map. Which is true. But town is hell if chained together. Then the cart loops in middle and desert are very strong. Killer shack is dead middle meaning it can always be reached on injury.
But it’s hardly like old Haddonfield. I do not mind playing there at all. It’s just not the best killer map by any stretch or in any era of DBD.

It's not a meme, it's a dire crisis. Dead Hard is negatively affecting the mental health of killers everywhere.
Meme.

Does garden of joy even have an offering? I went through plenty of bloodwebs yesterday and never saw one.
Yea, it looks like a tipped over can (or silo?) of grain.

This meme is getting old.

as someone who really enjoys playing killer, i get this sentiment, i really do. but i also play a fair bit of survivor, and having teammates like those you describe is exactly why i swf every chance i get. solo queue is more often than not is a miserable experience. however, nerfing swfs is not a thing, and they've explicitly stated it will never be a thing, so the only other option is to buff solo queue. they'll never get solo queue to be equally powerful as swf, but they can bridge the gap. this in turn gives them a better idea of how the average game will go (because theyre not always gonna be bot survivors, and they wont always be swf either), and they can buff killers around the new mechanics.
Yup. SWF is overrated by killers. It’s not the comms that breaks the game; it’s the collection of good players grouped together.
I, like Ghostflame here, prefer playing with other good players to take randoms out of the equation. I play with several great players, who refuse to do comms cause it’s ‘distracting.’
-
I agree, OP. I got Ironworks of Misery more than Garden of Joy yesterday. That’s with no offerings.

I have taken a 2-month long break from the game because I needed it, but I played it last night and it felt fun again. I’m happy to say that I’ll be rejoining the fog and will be there for the anniversary event. This won’t mean I’ll be playing Valorant any less because that game is still fun.
Probably going to be maining Artist as I have her maxed out at P3 level 50 excluding Dredge’s perk, and she’s oddly enough pretty fun to play. Demo, Bubba and Pinhead are other killers I might play from time to time as well.
Two month break? This is what happens when you just play one killer over and over. The joy of this game is only the little differences in playstyle with each killer.
I treat it like moods. Right now is new killer mood but I definitely go through moods of playing Artist for a week. Cenobite. Trapper. Deathslinger. Oni.
Variety is what keeps the game fresh.
Artist is a good pick btw. Looking forward to her Twisted Mask.
-
Seriously? I think it was extremely creative and watching people react to the killer on Twitch, I think the new killer has brought a fear element back to a horror game.
-
The description does mention the necklace, but the necklace is tied to the body piece selected. I believe they have already acknowledged this is a cosmetic bug.
-
I got it in three games. First game, 4k. One pip short. Second game, 3k. One pip short. Third it was earned.
That fellow above who claimed earning adept was a hack is being a troll.
-
I like it 🤷♂️
-
Dredge dies not have green skins either. My guess is a continued Prime release. I enjoyed Artist’s.
-
To encourage using his power. It’s really strong. My only gripe is the terror radius (reduce it back down and nerf M&A) but even with it he’s very strong. One of my few killers I consistently win with no gen regression.
-
It’s expected with the next mid patch. They are usually about two weeks after the current Tome ends (30 days). So my guess is around July 20th or 27th.

Making it so the killer can't grab a survivor trying to make a save if that survivor is full health would alleviate some of the problems with camping.
Right now most killers just camp the first hook to try to force the second hook state. But grabbing is too easy, so it forces all the survivors to come make the save which can mean the game can be basically over if the killer decides to first hook camp against solo queue survivors.
Grabbing healthy survivors needs to go. Camping is advantaged because survivors have no protections doing it, so killers who are poor chasers can just stay by the hook and 'chase' the same survivors they cannot catch normally there.
-
Perhaps your definition of bullying probably doesn't match other peoples. 'Toxicity' isn't an objective definition. Some people are just playing and other individuals are deciding that (usually, since they are losing) it is now 'toxic' behavior.
-
I think they release these at a later date as a lump sum.

Some people live in countries with very poor internet service, or in rural areas where decent internet is largely unavailable. It's annoying to play with people that are constantly DC'ing, but we both know most DC's are intentional in DbD anyway.
This isn’t a fault thing. If the internet connection is unstable, these are the rules. Penalizing matches with disconnects means eating time bans.
-
Thirty minute ban means you keep ‘crashing.’ Over and over again.
-
I think the oldest non-Blighted characters up are: Oni, Deathslinger, Twins, Trickster, Artist.
So basically Oni and Deathslinger have waited two years for theirs. The others aren’t as bad in comparison. Twins would probably be siiiick as well.
-
I do these as Wraith. Just take control of the match, then zoom around stomping glyphs.

The baseball bat weapon. There's a wooden one, a metal one, and a wood with nails in it.
It looks sick AF, and it's only a green rarity so it's relatively cheap.
This is my pick as well. The green cosmetic that can’t be bought with Shards.
For clarity, the whole outfit rocks.
-
I’d put it on a cooldown.

Yay another "just grow thicker skin" toxicity defender. If that's what we're going with, BHVR needs to give me back my Leatherface masks
We don’t say ‘get thicker skin’ anymore.
We say, ‘toughen up, buttercup.’

I completely disagree with the notion of "saying GG is very respectful no matter the end result." I'll give you an example. The other day I was targeted by a killer specifically because I did not farm with them and my team. At the end of the match they threatened to tunnel me out of the match if they ever saw me again. Sure enough the very next match it was the same killer and survivor team. This time they played the cannibal and went after me specifically at the start of the match. They got me hooked then kept hitting me and let a survivor who was there to farm pull me off at 2nd stage so they could mori me. I didn't give them the pleasure of doing that. After the match they said in the chat, "that is what you get. toxic time!" They let me know for sure it was them and their intent from the previous match was clear. This is the very last kind of match or player I would ever say GG to and if they had said GG also it would have been anything but "very respectful." So no, you are absolutely wrong about this. A respectful match deserves a respectful GG. Nothing more or less.
I say gg after every match. And just let the players reveal themselves to me. Some get all angy about the outcome. Some are chill and want to chat builds, challenges, or cool plays.
Just because we experienced bad sportsmanship doesn’t mean every match should be treated with bad sportsmanship.
-
If all a killer player does is use her speed addons, her base is gonna feel slow. It’s still 170%.
Im not really sure why she isn’t a top played killer. She’s still DBD on ez mode.
I imagine a huge part of her dropoff came from the Stridor nerf. Cause survivors hearing her phase doesn’t make her less accurate.
-
It was one of the choices in the survey. Double Player Level won that category.
-
How it works. You get used to it.
-
Mine. I’ll bring em back ;)
-
What does the challenge say, word for word?
-
I feel he’s still very good post nerf. Terror radius is my only gripe.
