75% killer win rate, and preteen killers complain about them still having that 25%. you want people to stop dc'ing? give them more than a 25% chance to survive. moris go, keys stay.
For 1 killer. Freddy. It isn't a 75% win rate for every single killer. Killers like Demo and Clown are struggling to get 50%, or a 2K. If we change the free win for one side, we have to change it for the other.
-
One of the biggest problems is map design. There are so many big maps that most killers aren't able to effectively pressure at all. This is why Nurse, Billy, Spirit, and Freddy are top tier. They can traverse almost any map with ease while putting pressure on survivors. However, when you get a map like Mother's Dwelling as a 115 M1 killer, you might as well give up. Most killers don't have the ability to traverse the map quickly with their power, hence why killers like Trapper, Clown, and Bubba are at the bottom of the barrel. There are so many large maps in this game with effective loops to boot, or problems of their own. Examples:
Mother's Dwelling: Largest map in the game. Cabin is a really strong looping spot.
Sanctum of Wrath: Another large map. Map is so dark and has so much foliage it is impossible to see anything.
Rotten Fields: Large map. Way too much corn, most killers can barely see.
Haddonfield: Relatively large map. So many strong loops with the houses and fences.
-
Basically a mix, and heavily dependent on what killer I'm playing. I have Brutal Strength on Plague, Wraith, and Ghostface, so I try to force drops with them, but try to mind game if they can't see me. I never try to tunnel. I always try to go after the unhooker. Legion is the only one I try to juggle survivors on, because that's their playstyle. I try to ignore pallets as Demo and Oni because they have pallet breaks in their basekit.

Honestly Legion's 2.7.0 rework was a travesty, it's undefendable how sloppy and not thought out it was with the only argument being "It wasn't the biggest thing to worry about" which funny enough makes it look even less thought out, 80% of the killers addons were nerfed into oblivion being made unusable in every situation except for the Blades (which weren't even good after 2.7.0 but hey let's nerf things that nobody on Earth asked to nerf), Iridescent button, and duration addons). It sucks how the one time they touched them in over 7 months was a buff with unnecessary nerfs (reduced mend time and nerfing builds with perks like sloppy and STBFL for the moronic excuse of consistency meanwhile half of the other roster has far better abilities and doesn't have to worry a damn thing about "consistency", and the purple blade which was already a mediocre addon that existed to exist 3.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds). Overall I can't deny the latest patch came with necessary buffs but there wasn't a need for a give and take, he's not even good lol.
They need to reduce the stun duration and everyone knows it even the devs, there's 0 reason for it to be so forgiving at 4 seconds. I'd make a list of other necessary changes but everyone else has already done it.
I agree with this. The big reason Legion got nerfed in the first place in 2.7.0 was to get rid of exploits like moonwalk, Nasty and Filthy Blade making mending take 5 minutes after a few hits, and SWS and Frank's Mixtape. Now that those are gone there is no reason for Legion to still have such a high stun time and honestly they should just give back the exact stats they had before the rework. They just absolutely gutted Legion when they didn't need too. They could've just changed how DW worked to not be reduced in the Terror Radius, and changed the addons to prevent the Blades from being abused and SWS and Frank's being a guaranteed instadown. Legion was such a hot topic that they nerfed them so unnecessarily to get survivors to shut up about them. They made Legion almost unplayable to reduce the amount of Legion players so survivors wouldn't complain about Legion anymore. Legion and Freddy's first nerf are the worst examples of BHVR listening to the community and taking it to extremes for no reason.

Yes, which is ridiculous to punish a killer based on their ability to end chases quickly/before they start. You literally get penalized from the start for playing a certain killer with this system!
Yeah, it's really ridiculous. The way you have to earn Adepts with these killers, i.e Billy, Myers, Ghostface, Oni, Plague, and Bubba is to literally not use their power, or at least the insta down aspect of it, which for a majority of these means they have no power at all, and you are rendered a 115 killer with no pressure. Because you show so much skill with this particular killer by not using their unique power to its fullest potential.

Watch out people are complaining about wraith because a youtuber said hes good oh nooo...
Devs have said they have no plans to nerf Wraith anytime soon, so my Bing Bing shy boi is safe for now. Really hoping they don't touch him too bad if they do, Phil was and has been my main since I started back in January 2018, even if I haven't been playing him as much because I've been picking up newer killers since they have come out. Started with Ghostface, then Demo, then I went back and gave Plague a chance, and now Oni. So basically my hierarchy of mains looks like
1. Wraith
2. Legion
3. Ghostface
4. Demogorgon
5. Plague
6. Oni

Sounds like it's more likely to whiff hits that shouldn't have missed on console than on PC because of the Aim Assist playing into it even more so. Ouch.
It also freezes your screen just long enough to make you completely miss if the survivor has half a brain cell.

3k?
Imagine de-pipping with a 4k, because it's a real thing to do your job too well as a killer.
It can happen, especially with killers who struggle with emblems, meaning any killer with an instadown and Plague.
-
As someone who doesn't use Ruin or many slowdown perks in general while playing lower tiered killers like Wraith and Legion, it's more of a 50/50 chance, usually dependent on what items survivors have, what map we're on, and if my Devour Hope survives long enough to get some mileage out of it. Probably just some bad luck, or the new matchmaking thing putting you within 6 ranks of you, meaning a green rank killer can be put with a 4 man SWF red rank group.
-
Apparently a new thing is you can be matched with anyone within 6 ranks of you. I think it still tries to find players your rank, but if it doesn't find them practically instantly it just grabs whoever it can.
-
1. Susie, absolutely adorable!
2. Bill, a new cosmetic for my survivor main, and it's free!
3. Joey, Legion main bias.
3. Everyone else because I don't play them except for dailies :)

Going off of the "BHVR just wanted to capitalize of off ST being topical" argument, they probably really wanted people, particularly new players who came because of ST, to feel like the Demogorgon. A loud, huge, towering monster who's only purpose is to kill. So they made him loud as possible. The roars, the stomps, the growls and such. He has a lot of presence behind him, but it ultimately hurts him. It's like what Bricky said in his Casefile on Demo. He feels truly monstrous to play, but his presence hurts him more than it helps.

@[Deleted User] said:
His parkour aspect is really cool, hope they do more with that and the urban vibe. Maybe improve it, let him be able to like jump and climb walls/obstacles or something too that would be bad ass.
No one cares about the stupid deep wounds mending crap, it doesn't even make much sense.
Saw a rework idea in a Legion subreddit that really capitalized on this. Jumping, wall running and climbing, having all 4 members in game at once, etc. Some really nice ideas, but it sounded way too complex for DBD. A lot of Legion's problems is that their power is tied to Deep Wounds, which cause problems because BT also uses Deep Wounds, meaning every nerf to Legion almost always gives a buff to BT. Make Legion's power separate from BT and you could solve a lot of their problems easier.
-
Are you on PC? Might've been Dedicated Servers. Sometimes projectiles like Corrupt Purge or Huntress hatchets hit twice for some reason.
-
Very bold. A lot of them are running Breakout and trying to body block hooks. Never realized how short the wiggle timer was until Breakout started getting used. Seeing 3 Yuis run at you after picking someone up is starting get quite scary.

Toolboxes 100%. 4 Commodious Toolboxes with Socket Swivel and Instructions will get the gens done before you can say "Man, I really should of brought Franklin's Demise."
-
It's not slower, but it makes me nauseous with how much the camera shakes.
-
From a part time Legion main since before their first huge nerf, I've changed from slowdown heavy gameplay to chase heavy gameplay. BBQ, Nurses, Devour Hope, and Bamboozle. Bamboozle isn't needed and you could definitely put something like Brutal Strength, Enduring, or I'm All Ears, but it's nice to prevent anybody from going back through the window you just vaulted. Try to keep everyone in Deep Wounds, and use Frenzy to find people with Killer Instinct. Try to keep your pressure on and your totem up, and always try to be in a chase. Things start steamrolling when you get 3 tokens for DH and if you get 5 you've practically won at that point. Just keep as much pressure on as possible, kicking gens when needed, and always try to be in a chase.

And there are many variables in between all those numbers. Just because there are 4 DS's doesn't mean all of them get used. Also the chase is extended provided you are in a great spot... it's not always guaranteed you will extend the chase.
True, but still, why take the chance of extending a chase when you can slug and take them out of the game for about a minute guaranteed? I know people will eat it to deny it during EGC but I prefer to end the game before gates get powered, hence why I run 4 chase heavy perks instead of slowdown perks.

Yes. And for purpose of doing killer rift challenges de-pipping is probably beneficial.
I can't imagine doing the Kill 2 survivors with NOED in EGC. Tome 4 is going to be hell in red ranks.

It's not very efficient to depip every game but alright
Yeah but rank doesn't matter. You don't get anything for it. You only go for rank 1 to get the achievements and then you're cursed to stay in red ranks for the rest of your days. Ranking up is more bad than good. You just get long lobby times and toxic matches at high ranks.

Lol ok. Since you seem to 'know' everything, we'll just let you keep thinking that.
Eating 4 Decisives is an easy way to lose at red ranks. That is a total of 240 seconds of at least 1 survivor being immune to everything. A total of 20 second stun time for the killer, or 1/4th of a gen. You have chase them once which will take about 30 seconds, get stunned for 5, and then you have to chase them again and with how most maps are layed out that will cost another 30 seconds at least with the amount of pallets available. You can extend the game so much with one DS. It's far easier to slug and have 1 survivor out of the game for 60 seconds than eat all 4 Decisives.

Could he at least have a Santa hat or a reindeer headband? :(
Or just wrap him in some Christmas lights and tinsel instead of chains.
-
For the Dark Sense challenge run Bond and Better Together. You'll know when people are doing generators and will be able to get people to come to the generator you are on. You don't have to bring it up from 0 to 100% by yourself, just be on the gen when it finishes.

He doesn't like sweaters. There's no way he can fit them over that big noggin of his.
So he's like that dog you force to wear a Christmas sweater to the party because they look adorable? Come on Peanits, he'll get used to it. He probably gets cold, especially in Ormond or Lery's.
-
Tier 57 without buying any tiers and completing all the challenges. Definitely going to get to Tier 70 with Tome 4.
-
Even just replacing the chains he is wrapped in with Christmas lights or tinsel would be amazing. Add in a mistletoe and he'd be perfectly adorable.
-
I had this happen to me as Demo, and someone tried it earlier today as Oni. Thankfully, closing the hatch fast enough means EGC starts, meaning as as long as you aren't on Hawkins or Lery's, you can easily proxy the gates and wait for the timer to run out.
-
FoV is terrible. If you are playing one of the tall killers, which is about 80% of the roster, unless you run Shadowborn or Monitor and Abuse, a survivor could stand at your fees and you wouldn't be able to see them. I'm all for a base FoV increase. You should watch some older videos before Shadowborn was nerfed. You could see so well.

That’s not a nerf, just a change. it doesn’t weaken her power in any way.
It could be seen as a nerf, but doesn't change much. You still have survivors coughing their lungs out and vomiting.

Susie's is adorable! I'm so happy that Bill's was free too. Some new sweaters for a couple of my mains!

I want Oni in a WAY too small Christmas sweater that is about to burst with an Oni on it and Blood Orbs on the arms.

Eh. Frank's version is better.
I like Julie, but she really gets outshined in the cosmetic department IMO.
It seems for every cosmetic Frank gets, Julie gets a version of it too. The Party Crasher skins, Dropout for Frank and Suspended for Julie are pretty similar, they both have a prestige outfit. Really wish they would do something new with her. At least my girl Susie has an adorable new sweater.
-
The Temple of Purgation is definitely the oldest, being from Babylon. As for the most modern map, excluding licensed DLC, I think that either Autohaven Wreckers, Ormond, or MacMillan Estate would be the most modern. Ormond is from around 1996, when Legion was taken. Autohaven is a modern junkyard/car wrecker, and MacMillan Estate is a mining facility in Seattle.
-
The Legion sweaters are so cute I love them. So happy that Bill's sweater was free. Thanks devs!

I get the whole risk/ reward thing, but losing a whole perk slot so early in the game is very disheartening, especially since it's RNG based.
However, ruin makes killers create bad habits because of its inconsistencies. If that is something that bugs you, maybe it's time to look into other slowdown perks like corrupt, PGTW, or even Dying Light.
I feel as if ruin will never be changed from a hex perk, just because of how strong it is. Ruin, as is, is super boring to go against as survivor. But, until then, we can only hope that the future will bring us a wider variety of gen slow down perks!
But, back to totem placements, I feel as if the only real problem is when they spawn in T and L walls, as well as in the middle of corn fields. That would be a step in the right direction!
Don't forget these wonderful totem spawns. Totems have a LoS check so they don't spawn in LoS of survivors. They need something to prevent them from spawning next to gens as well.
-
The only good thing that happened to Legion this year was the Christmas sweaters.
But honestly they feel a lot more fun to play, even if gens get popped really fast. I've been trying my "Snowball Legion" build. BBQ, Devour Hope, Bamboozle, and Nurses Calling. Always be in a chase and get those Devour stacks up.

It is a known scientific fact that a normal hoodie cannot match the amount of warmth an ugly Christmas sweater will give you.
Source - Joey and Susie look cute in these please let me have my moment

All the new sweaters look great! Really happy Bill's was free, and now Susie can actually stay warm up in Ormond. I was kind of upset that Legion was left out of Halloween, but these sweaters totally make up for it. Not to mention we still have more Christmas goodies waiting for us like reindeer Huntress. Elf Dwight, snowboarding Yui and Nea, and a new cosmetic for Oni! Designers really hit it out of the park with Christmas this year, and although Oni's "nerf" has sparked some controversy, I'm glad we have a thread like this without all the Scrooges <3
