Y'all complaining about school exams. Wow.
I work in Australian liquor retail, my state is currently on fire, and my country's leader though it'd be a good time to take his family on holiday to the other side of the planet.
It's currently in record heat, being Summer in the Southern Hemisphere, and I've literally never seen snow before.
I've been rockin' round the Christmas tree several hundred times, given away thousands of hearts last Christmas, walking through near countless winter wonderlands in the middle of summer, and all several people want for Christmas is me.
Merry Christmas indeed.
But finals are dumb and boring and stupid >:(
Seriously though, stay cool, both literally and figuratively.

Sorry I really don't want a fat #########'s balls jiggle, thank you very much
Fair enough, I could live with Plague jiggle physics.
-
Go Basement Trapper, much better than Basement Bubba. I used Monstrous Shrine, Agitation, NOED, and STBFL with Padded Jaws and Stitched Bag on Campbell's Chapel. Once one survivor came down to the Basement I hooked them and the rest immediately ran down, one got caught in one of my traps, the other got grabbed during the unhook animation, and the other was already injured so I downed them while the other was on my shoulder. I wish I saved a replay of that because it was absolutely magical to watch.

A perk to make Plague have jiggle physics
You fool, get your priorities straight, Clown needs even more jiggle physics.

It's because these pallets aren't meant to be looped. They are just meant to be dropped to be an obstacle for the killer. Nearly every single pallet there is unsafe and guarantees a hit if you stay near them.

Man, being on a diet sucks, I miss junk food. Also, there's a lot more love for Dwight and Jake then I thought. I'm also surprised the David army hasn't raided this discussion yet.
Still waiting for the Bill army. Come on, show my main some love! Imagine just having a nice cozy fire in a cabinwhile he tells you war stories and stories from his past, it'll be great.
-
Killer wise, Susie or Julie from the Legion. Susie's a cutie and Julie could dom me into oblivion.
Survivor wise, Feng. Cute asian gamer girl, where can you co wrong?
-
For Plague I run Dying Light, Ruin, Thanataphobia, and either Brutal Stength or BBQ.
I personally don't run addons but if I had to I would say either the Apples, Vile Purge effectiveness, or Black Incense are your best bets.
-
It does. Got the challenge done in one game as Legion.

I mean, the logical choice would be a Jason skin for Trapper...and a Sharp Hand Joe skin for Freddy.
I think that would be even worse. Jason is one of, if not the most requested character for DBD but we can't get him because of licensing issues. Imagine if after the legal dispute is over, BHVR announces that we are finally getting Jason, only to find out he's just a skin for Trapper. Do you know how livid people will be? Instead of being Jason, the unstoppable killing machine, you're Trapper in a Jason halloween costume. Kinda puts a damper on the whole experience, eh?
-
I mean, I wouldn't be totally against it, but DBD has a particularly... shall we say vitriolic fanbase. Imagine if instead of Pinhead being a fleshed out killer taking advantage of lore and the movies he was just a skin for Trapper. Instead of Pinhead doing whatever Pinhead does he's just going around setting traps. I wouldn't mind it for lesser known horror characters like Edward Scissorhands, but imagine if they just took Jason after finally getting the rights to put him in the games and he was just a skin. Or if they just made Demo a Xenomorph skin. Only being able to dash forward and go through portals as a Xenomorph just doesn't make you feel like a Xenomorph, only like you are playing Demo with a new coat of paint.
-
Was kinda wary of the Master challenges at first, but the only one that has taken multiple games is 6 Feet Under because I'm bad. Dark Senses, Hungry Jaws, and the others only took 1 game.
-
@DelsKibara said:
I almost got it with Agitation, Iron Grasp, Insidious and BBQ and Chili but one person DCed at the very end.
I'm annoyed.
Yep. I'm on console so people can still DC with no punishment. Definitely not prepared to deal with this. What map were you on? Was considering burning a Haddonfield offering because the Basement always spawns in the Myers House and is really easy to trap up.
-
Same reason people use Neon skins, or Hallowed Blight anything. They look really cool. Playing Plague with her Hallowed Blight skin is like being a big beacon for survivors, but she looks so nice with it I can't help but use it.
-
I played her for a bit when she first came out but haven't touched her since, other than dailies. Actually considering picking up more killers. Played a few games with Totem Protector Spirit the other day and had a blast, and am actually considering bringing her in now that Oni is P3 50. Same could be said for Huntress, Trapper, Pig, and Billy for me personally.
-
Really hope they come out soon, especially with these basement challenges, and the fact that there is no DC penalty on console yet. Going to be impossible to get them done with people DCing so much.
-
@Alice_pbg said:
Dc punishments are up, take advantage of them. Also run agitation and iron grasp. You'll get him there eventually
Not on PS4 or Xbox, meaning these players are basically screwed when it comes to these challenges.

There is no last Minute Hero.
These are the challenges:
Survivor:
Repair 10 Gens
6 Skill Checks with This is not happening (single Trial)
Search 12 Chests
4 Gens repairing with Dark Sense (Single Trial, only need to be sitting on the Gen when its finished)
Escape as Claudette (Single Trial, obviously)
Total of 5 health States healing
4 Killer Stuns with Pallets (Single Trial)
Killer:
Hit a Survivor with your weapon 25 times
Damage the same generator 4 times (single trial)
Interrupt and grab 2 Survivors
Kick 8 Pallets or Gens with Brutal Strength (Single Trial)
Hook the Obsession 10 times
Hook 5 Survivors in the Basement using Agitation (single Trial)
Catch 6 people in Bear Traps (Single Trial)
Sacrifice 4 Survivors in the Basement (Single Trial)
Not really challenges.
Most of these are too easy, but the others are going to be difficult. Survivor challenges are incredibly easy except for the Dark Sense one. That is going to require either a SWF or luck and just requires you to pump out gens.
Again, the killer one are incredibly easy except for the master challenges. The Brutal Strength one and kicking a gen 4 times are incredible easy, but the others are going to be hard.
Hook 5 survivors in the basement with Agitation. Shouldn't be too bad, just run either Basement Bubba or Basement Trapper.
Catch 6 people in Bear Traps. Going to run Tar Bottle, Trapper Bag, and a Yamaoka offering, probably the hardest one.
Sacrifice 4 survivors in the basement. Definitely going Basement Bubba for this one.

Complete opposite opinion. Legion main here. They need a complete rework.

I don't think so, I think they have good intentions, this is where myself and @UlvenDagoth differed.
I just think they don't know what to do with him. He is a poorly designed character and I think they realize that now.
I agree with that. I think a lot of Legion's problems stem from having Deep Wounds in their power. The problem is that Borrowed Time also as Deep Wounds, meaning they have to take into consideration both the perk and Legion. If they made Borrowed Time different than Legion's power I think a lot would clear up and both would be easier to balance.
Another thing I've noticed is that devs don't like slowdown heavy gameplay. From nerfs to Thanato, number changes on Freddy's addons, all recent killers having powers that can be used mid chase, they don't like slowdown, and fair enough, slowdown heavy gameplay is really boring for survivors. They seem to want to change Legion to not be so slowdown heavy with things like Sloppy Butcher, and are focusing more on the chase, hence the movement speed upgrade in Frenzy. The problem is, all of Legion's potential was slowdown, and now that that is gone, and Frenzy still can't be used actively mid chase to down someone, they really don't know what to do with Legion.
-
Sorry man, Legion is the devs punching bag. I would really like a buff too, but I feel like if they "buff" them again, they'll end up with something like "You can no longer move while in the Feral Frenzy fatigue animation and Legion will now look down at the ground similar to Nurse. Increased stun time to 10 seconds." For another addon change.
-
Sorry, you asked this on Opposite Day. Legion no longer has a weapon.

You don't need stridor for spitit c'mon man.
Agree with this, but the recent update seems to have made it so that all survivors have Iron Will even without the perk, and for some reason Stridor isn't countering it.

Indeed, I'm still waiting for my granny survivor to be added.
Geriatric killer in a wheelchair when?
As for why Rin's mom didn't become a Spirit, who knows. We know the Entity didn't really have any plans for Rin's mom other than to be the catalyst which allows it to reach into the world and take Rin's dad. Originally, Rin's dad was going to be the Entity's next killer, but saw greater emotion in Rin's rage and thirst for vengeance, which turns into more sustenance for the Entity, and thus chose Rin instead of her father.
-
Because killers are on a huge time crunch. You have to manage 4 people, 7 generators, where all the hooks are, remember any items survivors may have, remember 16 different perks, check your totems, run loops and destroy pallets, make split second decisions that might cost you the game, and so on. Compare this to survivor where you only have to do generators, know the general location of pallets, windows, and loops, open a door, and escape.
As for the simplest answer, it's a 4 VS 1. It's supposed to be 4 weaker characters VS 1 strong character, but it is usually 1 strong character VS 4 strong characters. With survivors, if you make a mistake you have 3 other teammates to pick up the slack, but if you make a mistake as killer, you can't pick up the slack in any way. Bring in large maps with strong buildings like Crotus Prenn and it's game over. The game asks for so much from killers, the single player, and so little for survivors, the numerous role.
-
I don't see why they keep making huge maps. Even after people complained about how big Backwater Swamp was and they made it smaller, they keep making large maps.
-
Anxiety - You are constantly on edge. Whenever you hear a loud noise notification, gain a Madness tier, no matter which killer you are facing.
Tired - Enter the Dream World periodically. Skill checks are moderately harder. Normal skill checks give a 3% boost to progression, and great skill checks give an 8% boost.
Lonely - You hold those who can tolerate you close and are afraid to come out of your bubble. When within 5 meters of another survivor, nullify the effects of Anxiety. When a survivor leaves this radius, Anxiety reactivates and you are afflicted with the Sadness status effect, causing Tired to activate more often.

I would honestly wish to see more original killer stand license killers, as well with all original powers.
All new killers just seem to have all the old killers powers but work differently
Ghost face is just like wraith and Piggy
Demogorgon is just like huntress
And the Oni is just a better billy....slightly better billy. It's funny because Oni is suppose to represent a demon in form with demon power yet the power BHVR gave him does not seem really demon like.
Also all new killer have gauge related powers.
We need a new killer that is original, original power that is not just another existing power that acts slightly different, and a power that is not a gauge based power
Highly unlikely that the new killer won't have a power gauge. Ever since Spirit all the killers have had some form of power gauge. Hell, even Freddy got a gauge in his rework.
Going back to the topic, if it were a licensed killer, I would want a Xenomorph. With Demo opening up non human killers, I really think the devs could have some fun with its design and powers.
If it were an original killer, I would want a Plague Doctor based around crows. Might give the crowd on the map more use besides Spies from the Shadows.
-
This achievement was hell. I only got it because I begged the last survivor to come out to let me get the achievement during EGC. People either DC, locker jump, or wait out the EGC timer, just to prevent you from getting 4 kills. Even after explaining to people that I was just doing the achievement I still got called a sweaty tryhard. I'm just thankful that Nancy was cool about it and let me kill her to end my pain.
-
I really want to know what happened to Wraith. It said he killed his boss and took his skull and spine and left but that was it. Where did he get his bell? When did he start looking like a tree? Why does the Wailing Bell let him go to the Spirit World? The older killers really need some love Lore wise, at least in terms of explaining it.
-
Probably Plague or Hag. However, if we include cosmetics, I would stifle a guess that killers infected by the Blight after being injected with Putrid Serum probably smell horrible. Constantly leaking this rancid, putrid, serum, usually out of almost any and every orifice, including the mouth. Not to mention on Huntress you have her matted, nasty fur, Hag is rendered even grosser by the serum, and Plague's boils are glowing, festering, and constantly leaking. They probably smell even worse than their regular forms.
-
As for who would be most likely be pushed to the brink to kill after so many trials, probably David. I could see it not happening on purpose, but maybe on accident because of his hot headed personality and short temper.
-
DS needs to deactivate after another survivor is hooked. It is an anti tunneling perk and should be just that, not a 60 second timer where the killer can't touch you. I could probably make a short 10 minute montage of the amount of time I've downed the unhooker, hooked them, found the recently unhooked survivor because they know I can't do anything about DS and refuse to run far, and gotten hit with it because the timer lasts so long.
It's also nearly impossible to keep track of the timer because of all the other ######### you have to pay attention to as killer. How many gens are done, which gens are about to pop, which gens I should patrol, is that bush a Blendette, are there any pallets I didn't break, who just got unhooked, how long ago did they get unhooked, is my totem still up, have they found my totem, what's the best patrol route, did they destroy my portals, which survivors have Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Balanced Landing, or Lithe, etc. You have to pay attention to so much ######### as killer it isn't even funny.
-
Iridescent Heads by themselves aren't a problem. They get really bad when they get mixed with Infantry Belt and Leather Loop. If you are riding on one hatchet constantly and manage to kill all four survivors, I say you've earned it.
-
I have never run Ruin, except on my slowdown heavy Plague. I much prefer to stomp and snowball with Devour Hope, or use perks that help with detection or chase, like BBQ, Brutal Strength, Nurses Calling, ect.

I dont get why he has the undetectable status effect when his stomps are a tr on their own.
The Undetectable is so useless on Demo. He has a map wide cue when he travels through a portal, he makes so many sounds on his own, he is one of if not the tallest killer in the game, meaning you can spot him from a mile away, Undetectable only lasts for two seconds, and his stomps are so loud it isn't even funny.

I get too many stalks off because of this lmao. BHVR needs to respect their licensed characters but instead we get Meyers depip add ons, GF reveal still janky, and terrible fps drops for demo.
Demo is the only killer who basically hasn't been touched since release. He got a buff with old Red Moss becoming base kit but that was it. Ghostface was complete crap in the PTB but is so much better now. The only licensed killers with notable changes after release were Freddy and Pig, with Freddy being nerfed a few weeks after release and being majorly reworked later, and Pig losing all endgame potential.
-
Cursed Legacy has the better killer, but pretty bad perks all around. One of the killers perks is a beginner perk for pete's sake. Stranger Things, IMHO, has a much more fun killer to play, at least for me on console. You also get 2 survivors with pretty good perks, specifically Fixated and Inner Strength, but the killers perks are lacking once again, Surge being the only notable one. Honestly, just look at some gameplay of the perks and killers, and get whichever looks more fun to play.

GF just needs a fix for his reveal. It's very inconsistent and I should know because I main him (seriously why are they revealing me from behind a rock where I can't even stalk them)
Going with this, why am I not being revealed when someone is right in front of me looking right at me?
-
Devour Hope on Demogorgon. As the prey gets away, he gets stronger and hungrier until he just finally can't take it anymore, and despite the Entity's will, he gets a snack. Having a 1 shot on Demogorgon feels really good, like the hulking monster should.

Nah, I dont, no worries.
But since people mentioned that BL was the problem with this structure(s), I like to bring it up in every thread.
Balanced Landing was a problem, but even without it the Asylum is really strong. Several strong pallets that in some cases have to be broken on top of a few strong windows.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/922832#Comment_922832
Asylum is balanced now. Only BL was the problem, the Map is now killer-sided.
@Topic:
The School is not that crazy. Sure, 4 Pallet Spots where 3 of them are pretty decent (the one in the Hallway is not that good), but you can catch up around the School.
And overall, every Pallet outside of a Building is highly unsafe and playable. If a Survivor decides to stay at one of those Pallets, they will get hit.
(If the Killer thinks it is smart to break every Pallet... Yeah, thats his fault)
Asylum is far from killer sided. It still has a bunch of very safe pallets in the main building. It's also a rather large map, meaning M1 killers struggle to apply pressure, and very open, meaning stealth killers struggle too. Coming back to this thread after cleansing my pallet with a few Autohavens, Badham definitely isn't the absolute worst, Crotus Prenn takes that, but it is still up there as one of the worst.
-
@Xerge said:
You know what's the worst thing about that loop? Is that in case you commit to the chase there is a tight corridor and a doorway on which you can be bodyblocked by other survivors when you are about to reach the one you were chasing and from there one of them can loop you around the school three times all over again.
Best advice you hear from survivor mains; let the survivor go. Yeah, a free escape. These loops are safe zones with little counterplay with some killer, unless you become paranoid and start running bamboozle on every build.
Breaking chase doesn't really work on a loop as consistently good as Badham, because when you find someone else, guess where they're going to run to first? Then you're back at square one.
-
My first game as survivor was as a poor baby Dweet. I think it was a MacMillan map because I remember the bluish purple atmosphere. I tried to help do gens, but no joke, it took me around 2 months before I figured out the right button for skill checks. Meaning I either blew up the gen constantly, or I pressed every button on my controller in a frenzy hoping to hit whatever the right button was to complete the skill check.
As killer, my first game was as Doctor on Gas Heaven. Never found a single survivor and the gens were done almost instantly. I didn't know you had to shock survivors directly and thought it was a minefield, meaning I zapped everything thinking some survivor would run though it and go crazy. Oh how wrong I was.
I quickly started going in as Wraith and got destroyed pretty much constantly in yellow and green ranks. This was all before Wraith's great QoL changes with Windstorm being basekit. Back when Wraith was regarded as the second worst killer, right above Freddy. But I stuck with Wraith, eventually deciding to pick up Billy and Huntress. Around the time Shattered Bloodline came out, I took a huge break, coming back when Demise of the Faithful came out. I have since then picked up Legion, even after their huge nerf even though I never moonwalked or abused Filthy + Nasty Blade, Ghostface, Demo, Plague, and Oni, in that order.

It’s ridiculous isn’t it..
There’s a killer lair there (Freddy’s), and nothing about it is to the killers advantage AT ALL.
The only saving grace is that it has one of the more difficult basements to leave before the killer returns, if it happens to spawn there, AND IF the killer is fortunate enough to hook anyone there.
Adding onto this, if you go down in the basement of the school and the basement doesn't spawn there, it is extremely difficult to get the survivor out and onto a hook.

It's an ancient and dead language, so most likely no accurate translation exists.
